Sunflower Shepherd's Hut is one of five romantic retreats for two in Mid Wales. Offering dog friendly stays near Rhayader, with a private hot tub and enclosed garden. Walk from the doorstep to Gilfach Nature Reserve, or explore the spectacular Elan Valley. There are plenty of options for outdoor sports enthusiasts and treats for foodies locally.

Sunflower Shepherd's Hut is a beautifully crafted getaway for two in Wales' rural countryside. A cosy cabin with wooden shutters, sumptuous king sized bed and smart TV. Your kitchenette has a microwave, hob, oven, fridge, toaster and kettle. Enjoy long lie-ins or take your morning coffee out to your private hot tub!

Offering dog friendly stays with enclosed garden, Sunflower Shepherd's Hut allows your four-legged friend to sunbathe or sniff around without being able to wander far. Meaning you can throw open the doors and let your pooch come and go as he pleases.

The shower room comes complete with flushing WC, hand basin, shower & heated towel rail.

For the perfect evening in at Sunflower Shepherd's Hut, pick up some local produce to cook on the barbecue. Later, watch the sunset from your hot tub, sharing a bottle of fizz. What could be more romantic than stargazing beside your fire pit. Then cosying up together in your idyllic retreat, to the sounds of the countryside around.

The nearby market town of Rhayader has takeaways, pubs and The Lost Arc. This is a favourite with locals for pizza nights, Sunday Lunch and bands who normally tour large city venues.

Sunflower Shepherd's Hut is the perfect base for dog walks or outdoor activities. The Elan Valley has easy cycleways, mountain biking, kayaking and fishing on offer. Adrenaline junkies can head to The Phil Price Rally School half an hour away, climb, ride or try water sports at Llangorse Activity Centre. While for pampering head to The Rock Spa at The Metropole.

Absolutely beautiful pods, stunning scenery. Beautiful can’t wait to stay again.

The only comments we’d make is that the picnic bench is not the most comfortable seating to enjoy relaxing on in the evenings. Wish we’d taken our camping chairs, some of the other accommodation did have alternative seating. Also, next time we’d book accommodation on the same site that has some cover over the hot tub so we could have enjoyed it more in the Welsh rain. Clean, comfortable and dog friendly.

What a little Gem of a find the Flower Pods are. We stayed in our beautiful Sunflower Shepherds Hut for just the one night and simply didn't want to leave. 5 stars for cleanliness and location. Will definitely return and stay for longer next time to explore the area more Thankyou Joe and Becky for a wonderful relaxing stay at your piece of paradise xx

Couldn’t recommend this place enough, it was clean and cosy. The hot tub was such a nice added touch. Me and my partner really didn’t want to come home, we are already looking at booking again!!

A lovely few days away. Hot tub was great, even in the rain. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Would 100% recommend and will be revisiting in the near future

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the sunflower, spending nights in the hot tub and days innthe elan valley.

hut was spacious, clean and nicely decorated - had everything we needed in it. Garden was a nice size, safe for the dogs. Hot tub was a real treat. Peaceful surroundings.

Easy to find, beautiful views and a very well presented accommodation. Was nice and warm although the website says there is underfloor heating and a log burner which there isn't in this one. Big tesco 15 minutes away and then Elan Valley and nature reserves all within 15 - 20 minutes. Every pod was full during our stay but we didn't hear or notice anyone else we felt completely switched off and away from daily life. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and meant we could enjoy the hot tub while knowing she was safe. Would definitely stay again. Bed was very comfy and we had everything we needed. Shower pressure is very weak which was the only negative. We woke up to no water on our first day due to the temperature but this was quickly fixed by the owner with no problem.
