Fantastic property, stunning views, very helpful customer service. Can't complain at all the say was perfect.
Absolutely stunning location, very quiet and relaxing which was we wanted. Where the house is the stony beach is minutes away but we walked up about 5/10 mins and found a sandy beach and it was so quiet and felt we were there on our own. The house is beautifully decorated and more than comfortable for a family of five !! Well done
Will definitely return again soon , what a gem . Was spotlessly clean and had everything we need for a lovely long weekend. They thought of everything from the hot tub to the wood burner deco to a high standard . Thank you was perfect xx
Great place for a quiet weekend away with family. The house had everything and was very spacious. The hottub was a great addition. The area was lovely and the views were amazing.
Fantastic location, and beautiful lodges with excellent facilities. It was lovely watching the waves from our hottub on the decking!
We had an amazing time over the new year, the property is beautifully decorated and really clean. The space worked well as we were three separate families, lovely kitchen and dining area. The cottage had everything you could hope for in a self-catering stay. Nearby there is a shop, and some good pubs for food, all within a short drive. The surrounding area is lovely with countryside walks, and beautiful scenery. A great place for a stay with family.
The most lovely remote place for a stay! Had such a great 2 nights.. will definitely recommend this to all my family! The owners dad was so nice! He popped over at the beginning of our stay and gave us attraction recommendations (which were great). 10/10.
The lodge was beautiful, clean and we had everything we needed. The hosts were brilliant at keeping in touch to ensure we had the best stay. The location was perfect, very peaceful with plenty to do/visit. Would 100% recommend and visit again!
Definitely recommend this property to all,it was clean and had all the facilities you would need for a short break, washing machine, dryer, dish washer and very good wifi. We all throughly enjoyed our stay and are booking again for Christmas. The hosts were excellent and looked after us very well.
Lovely 4 night stay. The barn conversion was big enough for four adults to stay comfortably. The weather was superb so we spent most of the time outside on the patio. It would’ve been nice if the garden was just a bit deeper so as we could get the sun in the evening as it was always in the shade. The only real criticism is that the property was listed as having a small freezer compartment in the fridge but there wasn’t one. Other than that, no complaints well kitted out for a short stay.
This was my second stay in Poppy and I want to book again for a third stay. I love the location, it’s lovely and quiet. The hut is beautifully presented and clean. I love that the hot tub is covered, so when the rain was thrashing down I still enjoyed a hot tub session without my book getting soaked. Beautiful walks nearby it’s just a great hub to stay at. Already recommended to friends and they have booked to stay at this site/hut
Having stayed in a shepherd hut last year, we booked 2 pods for a family stay and it was as wonderful as the first. The pods had everything we needed and was comfortable and warm. We would definitely stay again.
Our 2nd time visiting and will be coming back again. Despite the weather we had, we went to visit Elan valley and enjoyed the lovely woodland walk and our dog made some new sheep friends. Our stay was just what we needed, a recharge. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, our dog also befriend some cows while we were relaxing in the hot tub.
Amazing stay! Cosy and very clean hut with the essentials. Great location with a short drive to town with local pubs and great outdoor walks.
Me and Husband came away for a little get away for our honeymoon. And we were not disappointed. On arrival, it was clean and the was stunning. The views are beautiful which was lovely when sat in the hot tub. We had no issues or problems and would definitely come again and would do a longer stay too.
Hands down the best venue me and the mrz have stayed in , cant wait to go back again. Roll on next year when we get to go back
We recently returned from our weekend stay at Primrose. It’s the second time we have stayed with holiday wales and on both occasions it’s delivered. Primrose is spacious with a lovely location, the entire garden is fenced so our dog could roam freely whilst we used the hot tub. A lovely weekend, would definitely recommend.
Beautiful relaxing place, surrounded by countryside and sheep, good walks, hot tub, internet and tv ,you don’t need much more
Great little stay, with everything you need provided for you. The hot tub really added to the magic of the experience, especially for the 7am wake up.
Fabulous place very well kept. Good service when needed. We had a very comfortable annd a very enjoyable stay.
We booked a two night getaway last minute in the morning and got this gem of a place. It’s amazing, views for miles, hot tub and all the necessities you need and more. The converted horse trailer is amazing, extremely comfortable for us, a family of four with two small dogs. The hosts were very kind & helpful. The grounds were clean and secure. It is really lovely, we will return.
We had the most lovely bank holiday weekend staying in a shepherd’s hut in Wales. It was incredibly peaceful and tranquil — the perfect escape to switch off and relax. The hut was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed. Waking up to the breathtaking views each morning was a real highlight. We left feeling completely refreshed and would definitely come back!
I planned this getaway trip for a birthday surprise for my boyfriend and he loved it ! The views were magnificent, the rooms were so comfy, it literally had everything we needed. Most definitely will be returning
Beautiful location and very well presented. Expected the houses to be small but felt much more spacious.
We stayed at the Hayloft with our chidren and grand children for our sons 40th birthday and had a fabulous time. It is a lovely and well equipped house.
We were lucky to stay here for our 10th wedding anniversary,The lodge is so peaceful, views are amazing, hosts were amazing too and there was everything we could think of in the lodge, We will definitely return when we get chance to
We had such a lovely stay at this log cabin – it was the perfect place to celebrate our 1-year anniversary. Before we arrived, the host kept us fully informed about a power cut in the area, which had already been resolved by the time we got there. The communication was really reassuring and set the tone for a smooth, stress-free stay. The little touches made a big difference – fresh eggs, milk, and some absolutely delicious Welsh cakes waiting for us on arrival. It felt very thoughtful and welcoming. The views from the cabin were truly picturesque, and the hot tub was a real highlight...more
We loved our stay at Daverneithon. The lodge was spotless and comfortable, the views were stunning and it was so tranquil. The hot tub was great too! It was just the relaxing break that we needed.
This is a gorgeous hideaway with the most amazing views. The bed is comfy & it's lovely to wake up to look out over the hills. The shower is powerful & facilities are spot on. It's great to be able to relax in the hot tub. A really great break away.
We really enjoyed our stay over the weekend, beautiful landscape and a breathe of fresh air away from our busy lifestyle. So refreshing!!
This has been our second stay at this location, although this time we stayed at Highland view. the reason we came back is because of the large fenced garden area with wire mesh so the dog can be let loose without a worry. Bed was very comfy with clever storage underneath, hot tub was perfect, and the caravan seems new and well kept. Excellent views as well and we will definitely come again! A couple of suggestions that can improve the visitor experience: The smoke alarm went off too easily, we were just doing some toast and eggs for breakfast and had to open both doors and the windows. A sm...more
This is our 2nd visit to tents. We stayed at ‘The Otter’ for 2 nights in July 2025. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Only downside is the amount of flies and wasps but this was to be expected when it’s warm and sunny! Accommodation had fly tape and swatter which helped. Bbq & Hot tub was a great addition to our stay - hot tub is covered by a hedge for added privacy. Toilet facilities cleaned daily but would flood easily due to shower curtain and other guests not using it properly.
Our stay here was amazing from start to finish!! Extra special touches were a lovely suprise! There was lots to do just a short drive away. The hobitat, the views, the alpacas….everything was really great! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
This is one of the best places we have stayed in Wales. Easy to book and pay for. Excellent accommodation with all necessities at hand. Ideal place to use as a base for touring the Elan Valley.
We have just returned from spending Christmas here as a family of 6. The property is beautiful. The photos don't do it justice. So spacious, clean and homely. Property is well furnished with everything you could possibly need. The owner was very responsive in the run up to our holiday and throughout. We had a slight problem with the heating during our stay and a plumber was sent out within hours to rectify the issue. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and we will be looking to return in the future.
Lovely accomodation and lovely settings very clean and comfortable. The towm is only 10 minutes away lovely place for a quiet drink and meals
We had such a lovely stay at Rabbit Warren. The place was peaceful and relaxing, and the alpacas absolutely made our stay — we loved feeding them every day. There was also a truly delicious cake baked for our arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel very welcome. The Rabbit Warren had everything we needed during our stay, with all the essentials provided and plenty of little details that made it feel cosy and comfortable. It was definitely worth the money, and we honestly can’t wait to book again in the future!
The Ginger Nut did not disappoint, very clean and very welcoming. We used it as a base to explore with shops, pubs, and restaurants all within walking distance, if you just want to relax and switch off.
Good location for visiting Wales. We were visiting the Phil Price Rally School. It allowed us perfect time to travel.
Beautiful stay. Lodge was excellent , brilliant for the dogs already booked for next year. Lodge had everything we needed in it and it was spotless
Had a lovely stay at Celyn. Booked 2 nights for a relaxing time away and I was not disappointed! The hot tub was ready to go as soon as I arrived and the views and tranquility made it absolutely perfect.
Lovely break away marking our 31st Anniversary, the hut was in a beautiful location with views over the valley, well equiped, and super clean. The hot tub was a lovely addition which pleased my wife as shed been asking to stay somewhere that had one. Overall a lovely few days away in May.
We really enjoyed our stay! The place was clean and cosy. Checking in and out was easy and all the information we needed was provided beforehand. There is a handy guide to use upon arrival about the accomdation and area. It was lovely to be able to have our dogs there and it had plenty of space for them to run around.
Me and my husband really enjoyed our first trip to Wales. Our aim was to unwind and we did exactly that, from chilling in the hot tub to looking at the stars from the rooftops. The property was clean, spacious and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Communication from the owners was excellent. I will definitely be rebooking
The hillside view was a beautiful place to stay! Beautiful views of the valley, very comfortable beds! And much more spacious than I would have thought for a hut! Everything was modern and very very clean! The hot tub was excellent, great fenced in area for kids to run around and play! Grounds were kept in excellent condition! We had some user error with the shower but we were helped quickly! We took a walk around to see all of the animals which was fantastic, and explored some local areas as the weather was nice A small climbing frame or something swings for the kids would be a brilli...more
I knew that the location was to have a Mountain View, but when I parked up and saw the views, I was so pleasantly surprised! They were breath taking! I just had to stand in awe for a few minutes while I took it all in. The hobbit hole itself was so well built and beautifully decorated, so many tiny details that add lovely touches to your stay as well as a warm greeting card and complimentary bottle of wine. All very thoughtful. Thank you!
We had a lovely time staying in the Daisy pod for a few days. Very well designed to maximise space and having the closed off garden was excellent for our dog. The hot tub is slightly exposed to the other gardens but once the bushes have grown a bit , I think it would be more hidden. The only draw-back is the humming noises from the heating/hot tub at night, they can be quite loud at times. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this place and cannot wait to come back.
Just got back from a birthday weekend stay in The Kingfisher and it was absolutely wonderful! The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery, and the facilities were kept clean. The hot tub was gorgeous, already at 40 degrees when we arrived and checked throughout our stay to keep it perfect. The staff were all lovely and so helpful. We explored Elan Valley, which is only about a 10–15 minute drive from the campsite, and enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast at The Crown in Rhayader. The little welcome hamper of goodies was such a thoughtful touch, and the glamping tent itself had eve...more
Amazing!! Loved it, great location. So well equipped and spotless. Appreciated milk etc. Great value for money. Thank you.
Our family of 22 had a great time in this beautiful house. The bedrooms were really lovely and our bedroom had a fabulous view of the fields with the sheep. Everyone loved the enormous hot tub. The pool table was also popular. I would highly recommend this if you have a large family. It was superb.
It was a great property. Peaceful and quiet location; private location not overlooked in the garden, which was lovely. Enjoyed the outdoors due to afew good days' weather, and the hot-tub was excellent. Beds were very comfortable and nice bedding. Having 2 bathrooms worked very well, as it meant my sister could have her own bathroom, and my husband and I the other one. We would not hesitate in staying again if doing a break like that with my sister with her dog. There were afew issues with water/showers when nearby hot-tubs were being filled-up for the next bookings....but when I con...more
Had an amazing time beautiful views good local information provided, very clean would definitely come back again and recommend to people
We had a fabulous stay for my husband's birthday. Ivy's way was cosy and comfortable with everything you needed. The location is fantastic, what a view! Just a short drive to the town and lots of super walks. We enjoyed seeing the goats and highland cows wandering about from the decking.
Beautiful place, very romantic, perfect gateway for anyone who’s taking a break with furry babies. We spent 4 days at sunflower with gorgeous views, privacy and a high standard Equipment! If you looking for plenty of places to do some hiking and exploring combined with evening relaxation in a hot tub and an open fire then don’t hesitate just make your booking!! Worth every penny!
This was the best stay away from home we have had. The view, the privacy and the high level of comfort is unmatched. The prancing pony had everything we could possibly want. We are already planning our return!
Great hosts and a wonderful setting with comfortable beds and the area was friendly with much to see
We stayed during February half term at Beacon view barn, our daughter and two teenage granddaughters stayed next door at the same time. The views are amazing and fantastic, especially of hills and sheep. There are many narrow and sometimes steep country lanes all around the location. The lanes are quieter being the location is rural. Beacon View Barn has everything facility wise that you would expect, including an honesty box is case you have forgotten anything (toiletries wise). We took all our food (everything is quite a distance away, including shops) for the mid week that we were the...more
We stay here for 2nights for a birthday celebration! It was a lovely find! Very dog friendly, perfect location for dog walks! The cabin was lovely, hot tub was a lovely touch! Nice to chill out in after long day walking! Definitely will return in the future! John n kerrie very helpful! Sam, Rob n trixie! Xx
The cabin itself was perfect, enough room for us all, perfect location and clean! It might be worth looking into the issue with flies, it was uncomfortable at times and made preparing food very difficult. We struggled with the outdoor seating as the picnic table was very uneven and we couldn’t even use the table and chairs as they were broken and dangerous. This was disappointing as we had hoped to sit outside to eat and enjoy the sunset. The patio was also very dirty, and slippery when coming out of the hot tup. It might be useful for you to provide separate towels for the hot tub. ...more
We booked here, as it was advertised as peaceful and serene. And it definitely was. The location was great, surrounded by hill and grasslands, sheep grazing etc. The cabin was spotless and very spacious. The highlight and especially for thr kids, was the hot tub. Sat in there at night with no noise was perfect. There was an issue with some dirt bikes practicing in the field next to us creating alot of noise, but cae llwyn lodges were excellent in sorting this out for us. All in all if you would like a peaceful and relaxing break, I'd definitely recommend
Wow, what an absolutely incredible stay! The lodge was spotless, beautifully presented, and so relaxing from the moment we arrived. There were 3 of us staying and we all absolutely loved it from start to finish. It had everything we needed for a short stay and was so well equipped with thoughtful little touches throughout. The location was perfect, so peaceful and quiet, yet still close enough to nearby towns for exploring and getting out and about. It really felt like the perfect balance of relaxing countryside getaway while still being convenient. The hot tub was amazing and definitely...more
We had such a lovely weekend stay in Wales! The cabin was beautiful, clean, and very cozy, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The highlight was definitely the hot tub , sitting in it surrounded by nature was absolutely perfect, especially in the evening. The location was peaceful and quiet, ideal for switching off and enjoying the countryside. The check-in to check-out were without any problems. We left feeling refreshed and would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend escape. We would happily come back again!
Two days without any interruptions, full enjoyment. Beautiful location, best part was the hot tub for us. A few things weren't working and weird smell coming from the beddings but I ignored them just enjoyed the moment. Thank you so much, hopefully see you again.
Lovely stay at the kingfisher- host couldn’t do more - very helpful, decorated the hut including a cake for my girlfriend and offered to be a taxi for us if needed. Was lovely to get away with no signal and chill in lovely surroundings- even the thunderstorms didn’t ruin our weekend. Would go back again. Feedback from girlfriend- send the dogs down to say hello more often :)
We had a weekend perfect stay. The cottage has so much character and style . Perfectly equipped and stunning views
The accommodation was outstanding with simply the best view. Loved my stay and will be looking to stay again but this time for longer!! Would 10/10 recommend to everyone.
This was a beautiful find, plenty of room for us and 2 small cockerspaniels. Everything is so well throughout and there is everything there that you would need, there were dog bowls and towels for the dogs, lovely views, hubby loved the hot tub, it was lovely to chill out there and it is a close drive away to Elan Valley, which is what we went for, there is a cute village so you can pick up any essentials or supermarkets not too far if you wanted more of a bigger shop. We loved it and would recommend to other's.
Burrow View was in a great location, close to the town of Rhayader which has all you need, pubs, cafe, and convenience stores. We took our bikes which I would recommend as you get to see lots more of the area. Especially if you are visiting Elan Valley and the various dams. Overall great weekend and I’d definitely return.
Lovely clean well situated accommodation. Everything there that we needed (tin opener would also be a good addition)
Absolutely stunning place cannot fault anything. I would visit again hopefully in the summer. Very clean and tidy. I didn’t have a pen to rate the house keeper. But she did a fantastic job.
Beautiful place, owners very helpful, very kind, some great walks, disappointed the local pub is closed ! 2 mile walk to pub but around great place to stay…
Lovely little accommodation that has everything you need and the location is amazing. The site is really quiet and the views were just incredible. Plenty to do just a short drive away. Would be great if some local dog walks were available directly from the site. Had a great weekend.
Fantastic little cabin very quiet place to relax in hot tub small park for little ones very polite stuff will be staying again next year.
Great break away with family, lovely location and lodge. Would recommend. Will be returning for sure.
Absolutely stunning in every way, perfect for myself my Labradors and 3 year old, we had a fantastic 5 days and definitely will be back next year
We've just returned home from our little break away at Wyn's Barn and it was everything we needed and more. I originally booked 2 nights but extended it by an extra night which was no hassle at all and I'm so glad I did. I received a text from Claire on the morning of our booking and I text her when we left. I didnt need to contact them during our stay but I felt that If I needed to then I would be in good hands to do so. (I was tempted a couple of times as i wanted to pet the Alpacas maybe next time!) It has everything you need for you stay, to be honest I probably could've just moved...more
When we first arrived we were wowed, the bath outside, the hot tub, it looked amazing. Sadly after being there for a few hours the reality of it hit, there was a terrible smell of sheep poo constant, making you not really want to go outside. The outside bath was completely damaged therefore unable to be used. - which is very disappointing given this was probably one of the selling points. The indoor shower would go from freezing cold to scalding hot without any warning. My son really burnt himself. There were flies everywhere, the room itself was covered in sticky fly catchers. - all of this i...more
We had a 2 night stay at mountain view myself my wife and our puppy Labrador. Cleanliness very good and location not far from the town. The enclosed garden was one of the things we appreciated the most as it was safe for the dog with plenty of room for her to run around and exercise. Location was very picturesque, hot tub very welcome too and would definitely visit again.
Our stay was brilliant. To begin, the location and view were beautiful with the mountains and sheep in the fields surrounding the lodge. The lodge was great, had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub was AMAZING. The small touches like the fresh milk and welcome hamper were unexpected but lovely. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
We stayed in ‘Hedgehogs View’ for two nights, the location and view were second to none. The privacy of this specific accommodation was perfect as it’s at the top/back of the other ‘hobbit holes’ , so when using the hot tubs and walking around you’re not visible to anybody else. Our initial perspective was that the accommodation was beautiful , great facilities and well styled . Once we’d settled we noticed a lot of black mould spots in the main bedroom , above the bed area and dotted over the ceiling. The bed was extremely uncomfortable , with a very thin matress, the base of the bed bein...more
What a fantastic farmhouse this is for a large group. Totally fulfilled every expectation we had for my 70th birthday with family and friends. Even tho it was a cold month the house was always lovely and warm. The hot tub was a great bonus and we had lots of fun in it, always hot and well maintained. Recommend this lovely venue for a large gathering
I couldn’t recommend Rabbit’s View enough to anyone looking for a quirky getaway in an idyllic setting. The property itself is finished to a very high standard throughout and is presented as new upon arrival. The bath in the main bedroom looking across the fields is a real highlight. Location wise you’re situated close enough to Rhayader for food and local shops, and within easy drivng distance of plenty of tourist spots, including Elan Valley and Gigrin Farm (Red Kite feeding ground). We’re already talking about going back when the little one is a few years older.
A beautiful location, which was so peacefull and relaxing. The pod was unique clean and spacious. Made some lovely memories lighting a fire and enjoying the views from the hot tub. We will definetly be back. Would highly recommend. We travelled all the way from newcastle for the long bank holiday weekend, and next time we come we will stay even longer.
Firstly, the site is lovely, close to Elan Valley and the accommodation position of Foxes View was great as it’s at the end of the row of hobbit holes. We were without a fire pit when we arrived but owner very quickly put one out for us. The accommodation size is great. It does look run down in places though, flooring has some nicks in it etc. The kitchen was fine although the fridge wasn’t very cold. Hot water in sinks etc perfect but shower tepid. Hot tub was lovely and clean but only some jets worked and dials were not working properly. I’m really glad we experienced this site but for th...more
What can I say been to the location before but this time had a bigger lodge. The lodge has everything you would ever need for your stay. You only need the weather on your side as we didn’t this time that was a pity. Could help with better instructions for the appliances but everything was great
The Heather pod was just as expected, very clean with all the amenities needed for a short stay. The scenery was beautiful and it’s in a really quiet rural spot which is just what we wanted and there were plenty of places to go walking so the hot tub was perfect afterwards!
The cabin was a beautiful size and two beds really work for our friend trip tomorrow. The kitchen and living room was perfect for the two of us to make meals on. The space felt very homely.
Fantastic place to stay, this is our 2nd visit and we have another booked for later this year, and are rebooking for next year. Clean, peaceful and well located to explore, morning visits from goats are a bonus
Lovely modern lodge in a beautiful surrounding of all the mountains, creating a peaceful stay. Lovely hamper left of crisps, marshmallows and a bottle of lemonade (ideal for just 1 person though). Plenty of plug sockets throughout. However, never met the owners at all during the stay, no communication from themselves to ensure everything was okay checking in etc. Made contact regarding hot tub as it became unbearably hot and was simply told to take lid off for half hour before, bluntly. (didnt work as the hot tub was set on maximum to keep heating up and there was no adnusting control panel)...more
Beautiful setting heron glamping tent end tent so extra room ideal for the children to play. The children loved the adventure Could do with seating outside on the grass for sunny days to sit. Helpful staff when on site. Hot tub didn’t reach to temperature so only had one sitting which I was disappointed with when the owner came to sort it out. Tried to have a shower but the water was freezing in the shower cubicle.
We loved our stay here, the remote location was perfect for us, peaceful yet only a short drive to shops if needed. The highlight was definitely the night sky, being able to sit in the hot tub under the stars and even see the Milky Way was incredible! The place had almost everything we needed (there was no salt on arrival), and it was warm and cosy, which made it really relaxing. That said, there are a few things that could be improved. Cleanliness wasn’t quite up to the standard we’d expect for the price, for example, we noticed lots of dead flies under the blinds and some leftover facial ...more
A lovely weekend break with some lovely little animals on site that seemed friendly. The location was nice with a great view from the tub
The perfect place to escape to enjoy the peace and quiet, set in the rolling green hillside. Everything you need for a self chartering get away! Would highly recommend.
Truely an amazing stay! We went for a 24th birthday and couldn’t have gotten better if they tried! Extremely sceanic area amazing for a quite weekend
