Fantastic location, and beautiful lodges with excellent facilities. It was lovely watching the waves from our hottub on the decking!
We had an amazing time over the new year, the property is beautifully decorated and really clean. The space worked well as we were three separate families, lovely kitchen and dining area. The cottage had everything you could hope for in a self-catering stay. Nearby there is a shop, and some good pubs for food, all within a short drive. The surrounding area is lovely with countryside walks, and beautiful scenery. A great place for a stay with family.
Definitely recommend this property to all,it was clean and had all the facilities you would need for a short break, washing machine, dryer,dish washer and very good wifi. We all throughly enjoyed our stay and are booking again for Christmas. The hosts were excellent and looked after us very well.

Absolutely stunning location, very quiet and relaxing which was we wanted. Where the house is the stony beach is minutes away but we walked up about 5/10 mins and found a sandy beach and it was so quiet and felt we were there on our own. The house is beautifully decorated and more than comfortable for a family of five !! Well done
We came as a family 4, 2 adults, 1 child and our dog! We had an amazing time, the views are stunning, the location is just beautiful and the alpacas just made the stay for me as I just love them. Lots of information given beforehand and leaflets at the property plus a cute basket of goodies. Honestly a beautiful stay and just what was needed. My only recommendation would be to have some comfy chairs to sit out on when getting out the hot tub or watching the views. Only seating was a round bench
This was my second stay in Poppy and I want to book again for a third stay. I love the location, it’s lovely and quiet. The hut is beautifully presented and clean. I love that the hot tub is covered, so when the rain was thrashing down I still enjoyed a hot tub session without my book getting soaked. Beautiful walks nearby it’s just a great hub to stay at. Already recommended to friends and they have booked to stay at this site/hut
Having stayed in a shepherd hut last year, we booked 2 pods for a family stay and it was as wonderful as the first. The pods had everything we needed and was comfortable and warm. We would definitely stay again.

We recently returned from our weekend stay at Primrose. It’s the second time we have stayed with holiday wales and on both occasions it’s delivered. Primrose is spacious with a lovely location, the entire garden is fenced so our dog could roam freely whilst we used the hot tub. A lovely weekend, would definitely recommend.
Hands down the best venue me and the mrz have stayed in , cant wait to go back again. Roll on next year when we get to go back

Me and my husband needed a break away from normal life, so we booked fern beacon view pod. It is on a working farm so in the middle of nowhere. It was so peaceful and the only sounds you could hear were the birds, sheep and cows. The hot tub was lovely to sit in and relax, looking out over the countryside. Lin the host was very helpful, we had a problem with the microwave dripping water, she went out of her way to go buy a new one and replaced it on our first day. The pod was lovely and clean. We had the most lovely bank holiday weekend staying in a shepherd’s hut in Wales. It was incredibly peaceful and tranquil — the perfect escape to switch off and relax. The hut was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed. Waking up to the breathtaking views each morning was a real highlight. We left feeling completely refreshed and would definitely come back!
We stayed at the Hayloft with our chidren and grand children for our sons 40th birthday and had a fabulous time. It is a lovely and well equipped house.
We were lucky to stay here for our 10th wedding anniversary,The lodge is so peaceful, views are amazing, hosts were amazing too and there was everything we could think of in the lodge, We will definitely return when we get chance to
We had such a lovely stay at this log cabin – it was the perfect place to celebrate our 1-year anniversary. Before we arrived, the host kept us fully informed about a power cut in the area, which had already been resolved by the time we got there. The communication was really reassuring and set the tone for a smooth, stress-free stay. The little touches made a big difference – fresh eggs, milk, and some absolutely delicious Welsh cakes waiting for us on arrival. It felt very thoughtful and welcoming. We just loved our stay at Honeybee Home. We stayed with our two very young boys and were delighted with everything provided. The home itself is exquisite, with beautiful touches everywhere and everything you need. The alpacas really made our week and the outdoor area was just wonderful for playing and relaxing. A real Welsh gem!

Spent a few nights here whilst hiking Snowdon. It's just perfection. Everything you need in a small little package and the views from the hot tub are unreal. Would high recommend staying here.
I would highly recommend valley view it's lovely and secluded and the views are spectacular. We really enjoyed our weekend here it was what the doctor ordered a nice relaxing weekend we could have asked for more. The little village close by is great too.. we have done many of weekends away in these sort of places but this one was the best by far.. we will definitely be back in the near future. Many thanks
This has been our second stay at this location, although this time we stayed at Highland view. the reason we came back is because of the large fenced garden area with wire mesh so the dog can be let loose without a worry. Bed was very comfy with clever storage underneath, hot tub was perfect, and the caravan seems new and well kept. Excellent views as well and we will definitely come again! A couple of suggestions that can improve the visitor experience: The smoke alarm went off too easily, we were just doing some toast and eggs for breakfast and had to open both doors and the windows. This is our 2nd visit to tents. We stayed at ‘The Otter’ for 2 nights in July 2025. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Only downside is the amount of flies and wasps but this was to be expected when it’s warm and sunny! Accommodation had fly tape and swatter which helped. Bbq & Hot tub was a great addition to our stay - hot tub is covered by a hedge for added privacy. Toilet facilities cleaned daily but would flood easily due to shower curtain and other guests not using it properly.
Our stay here was amazing from start to finish!! Extra special touches were a lovely suprise! There was lots to do just a short drive away. The hobitat, the views, the alpacas….everything was really great! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
This is one of the best places we have stayed in Wales. Easy to book and pay for. Excellent accommodation with all necessities at hand. Ideal place to use as a base for touring the Elan Valley.
Lovely accomodation and lovely settings very clean and comfortable. The towm is only 10 minutes away lovely place for a quiet drink and meals
We had such a lovely stay at Rabbit Warren. The place was peaceful and relaxing, and the alpacas absolutely made our stay — we loved feeding them every day. There was also a truly delicious cake baked for our arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel very welcome. The Rabbit Warren had everything we needed during our stay, with all the essentials provided and plenty of little details that made it feel cosy and comfortable. It was definitely worth the money, and we honestly can’t wait to book again in the future!

The Ginger Nut did not disappoint, very clean and very welcoming. We used it as a base to explore with shops, pubs, and restaurants all within walking distance, if you just want to relax and switch off.
We have just returned from spending Christmas here as a family of 6. The property is beautiful. The photos don't do it justice. So spacious, clean and homely. Property is well furnished with everything you could possibly need. The owner was very responsive in the run up to our holiday and throughout. We had a slight problem with the heating during our stay and a plumber was sent out within hours to rectify the issue. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and we will be looking to return in the future.
We really enjoyed a break. It was dog friendly, clean, well-equipped and peaceful. The hot tub was fab. Great setting, lovely views. Very friendly hosts. We explored Elan Valley, a great location to explore from. We hope to visit again very soon.
Had a lovely stay at Celyn. Booked 2 nights for a relaxing time away and I was not disappointed! The hot tub was ready to go as soon as I arrived and the views and tranquility made it absolutely perfect.
Lovely little place surrounded by lovely scenery! Very close to Elan Valley for walks and exploring. We enjoyed the bbq and hot tub. The only thing we noticed was the smell of the mop which was in a cupboard in main bedroom did make the whole room smell, especially with the heat, so we had to put it outside while we were staying. Maybe an outside cupboard down the side of the building would be useful to store this. Also, the window in the top bedroom did not have a blind so it was very bright up there. Other than this, we had a nice stay thankyou!

Me and my husband really enjoyed our first trip to Wales. Our aim was to unwind and we did exactly that, from chilling in the hot tub to looking at the stars from the rooftops. The property was clean, spacious and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Communication from the owners was excellent. I will definitely be rebooking

We had a lovely time staying in the Daisy pod for a few days. Very well designed to maximise space and having the closed off garden was excellent for our dog. The hot tub is slightly exposed to the other gardens but once the bushes have grown a bit , I think it would be more hidden. The only draw-back is the humming noises from the heating/hot tub at night, they can be quite loud at times. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this place and cannot wait to come back.

It was a great property. Peaceful and quiet location; private location not overlooked in the garden, which was lovely. Enjoyed the outdoors due to afew good days' weather, and the hot-tub was excellent. Beds were very comfortable and nice bedding. Having 2 bathrooms worked very well, as it meant my sister could have her own bathroom, and my husband and I the other one. Our family of 22 had a great time in this beautiful house. The bedrooms were really lovely and our bedroom had a fabulous view of the fields with the sheep. Everyone loved the enormous hot tub. The pool table was also popular. I would highly recommend this if you have a large family. It was superb.
We had a fabulous stay for my husband's birthday. Ivy's way was cosy and comfortable with everything you needed. The location is fantastic, what a view! Just a short drive to the town and lots of super walks. We enjoyed seeing the goats and highland cows wandering about from the decking.
This place is a hidden Gem! Owners were so friendly and were great at communicating with us prior and during our stay. The House was lovely. Quiet, remote and peaceful. Really clean and well stocked with everything you needed. Hot tub was lovely. We will be staying again soon!
We loved our stay over the weekend, we stayed Friday until Sunday. The glamping tent was very clean with everything you need and more. The added extra of just the little touches, things like milk, tea, sugar and washing up liquid was just a good little touch and took some stress away of having to pack. We stayed during February half term at Beacon view barn, our daughter and two teenage granddaughters stayed next door at the same time. The views are amazing and fantastic, especially of hills and sheep. There are many narrow and sometimes steep country lanes all around the location. The lanes are quieter being the location is rural. Beacon View Barn has everything facility wise that you would expect, including an honesty box is case you have forgotten anything (toiletries wise). The cabin itself was perfect, enough room for us all, perfect location and clean! It might be worth looking into the issue with flies, it was uncomfortable at times and made preparing food very difficult. We struggled with the outdoor seating as the picnic table was very uneven and we couldn’t even use the table and chairs as they were broken and dangerous. This was disappointing as we had hoped to sit outside to eat and enjoy the sunset. The patio was also very dirty, and slippery when coming out of the hot tup. Wow, what an absolutely incredible stay! The lodge was spotless, beautifully presented, and so relaxing from the moment we arrived. There were 3 of us staying and we all absolutely loved it from start to finish. It had everything we needed for a short stay and was so well equipped with thoughtful little touches throughout. We had such a lovely weekend stay in Wales! The cabin was beautiful, clean, and very cozy, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The highlight was definitely the hot tub , sitting in it surrounded by nature was absolutely perfect, especially in the evening. The location was peaceful and quiet, ideal for switching off and enjoying the countryside. The check-in to check-out were without any problems. We left feeling refreshed and would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend escape. We would happily come back again!

Two days without any interruptions, full enjoyment. Beautiful location, best part was the hot tub for us. A few things weren't working and weird smell coming from the beddings but I ignored them just enjoyed the moment. Thank you so much, hopefully see you again.

Lovely stay at the kingfisher- host couldn’t do more - very helpful, decorated the hut including a cake for my girlfriend and offered to be a taxi for us if needed. Was lovely to get away with no signal and chill in lovely surroundings- even the thunderstorms didn’t ruin our weekend. Would go back again. Feedback from girlfriend- send the dogs down to say hello more often :)
This was a beautiful find, plenty of room for us and 2 small cockerspaniels. Everything is so well throughout and there is everything there that you would need, there were dog bowls and towels for the dogs, lovely views, hubby loved the hot tub, it was lovely to chill out there and it is a close drive away to Elan Valley, which is what we went for, there is a cute village so you can pick up any essentials or supermarkets not too far if you wanted more of a bigger shop. We loved it and would recommend to other's.
Second time staying at this beautiful barn in a perfect location to wind down and relax. The view is idyllic from the hot tub which was wonderful and the balloon and banner and cakes for my partners birthday were a lovely touch. Had a slight maintenance issue but this was addressed straight away by Claire who sent someone to fix the issue within the hour. Very impressed. We will definitely return (again!).

Burrows view was an amazing stay my partner had just lost her father and she just wanted somewhere to relax away from everything and this was the perfect place. The views are stunning and it is very tranquil there it feels like a home away from home, this is our second stay this year. The staff were so helpful and the cleanliness was amazing as was the style and layout of it
Absolutely stunning place cannot fault anything. I would visit again hopefully in the summer. Very clean and tidy. I didn’t have a pen to rate the house keeper. But she did a fantastic job.

The whole experience was perfect. Beautiful shepherd hut located in the countryside, hot tub was a massive plus for us as its the time we got to just unwind and relax from the busy life at home, waking up to the sound of highland cows was just amazing too! We went out for dinner in the evenings, lots of pubs and places to go just a 5 minute drive away. would highly recommend to visit the waterfalls and Elan Valley, what an experience to see! Excellent value for money, I cant recommend this place enough - We will definitely be returning!

This was my first stay at the Holidays Wales site and it won’t be my last. The site was clean and well maintained with the most amazing views of the Cambrian Mountains. I absolutely loved the glamping pod I stayed in as it was clean and had everything you need for a short holiday with a comfortable double bed and sofa. The hot tub was also clean and well maintained - perfect to relax in after a day of walking around Rhayader or the Elan Valley. The lodge was perfect for our needs as a family of 4. The lodge was clean and well presented. The little extras that were included were well thought out such as a bottle of milk in the fridge ready and well stocked on necessities such as washing up liquid and toilet roll. The kitchen was also well equipped. The highlight of the stay was the hot tub. My daughter loved it and it added a special touch to our trip. We would not hesitate to book again.
When we first arrived we were wowed, the bath outside, the hot tub, it looked amazing. Sadly after being there for a few hours the reality of it hit, there was a terrible smell of sheep poo constant, making you not really want to go outside. The outside bath was completely damaged therefore unable to be used. - which is very disappointing given this was probably one of the selling points. The indoor shower would go from freezing cold to scalding hot without any warning. My son really burnt himself. Our stay was brilliant. To begin, the location and view were beautiful with the mountains and sheep in the fields surrounding the lodge. The lodge was great, had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub was AMAZING. The small touches like the fresh milk and welcome hamper were unexpected but lovely. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

What a fantastic farmhouse this is for a large group. Totally fulfilled every expectation we had for my 70th birthday with family and friends. Even tho it was a cold month the house was always lovely and warm. The hot tub was a great bonus and we had lots of fun in it, always hot and well maintained. Very enjoyable , fabulous scenery and we had extremely good weather in July 2026 . The only 2 down falls are there are no amenities on site you have to go into the town . Also I do think it’s a little pricy per night being £250 Compared to other paces that are similar .
Firstly, the site is lovely, close to Elan Valley and the accommodation position of Foxes View was great as it’s at the end of the row of hobbit holes. We were without a fire pit when we arrived but owner very quickly put one out for us. The accommodation size is great. It does look run down in places though, flooring has some nicks in it etc. The kitchen was fine although the fridge wasn’t very cold. Hot water in sinks etc perfect but shower tepid. The Heather pod was just as expected, very clean with all the amenities needed for a short stay. The scenery was beautiful and it’s in a really quiet rural spot which is just what we wanted and there were plenty of places to go walking so the hot tub was perfect afterwards!

Beautiful setting heron glamping tent end tent so extra room ideal for the children to play. The children loved the adventure Could do with seating outside on the grass for sunny days to sit. Helpful staff when on site. Hot tub didn’t reach to temperature so only had one sitting which I was disappointed with when the owner came to sort it out. Tried to have a shower but the water was freezing in the shower cubicle.
