We stayed for a week at Charlottefield and found it to be perfect for our needs. The house is in excellent condition and has everything you could need to relax in this highland getaway. Despite temperatures dropping down to -7c, the house was lovely and warm. The surroundings of Dunkeld and Pitlochry provide ample opportunities for exploring either on foot or by bicycle so there’s plenty to do. One thing we would point out is that the outdoor bath does take four hours to heat up so make sure you have plenty of wood to hand and are around to keep stoking it. It’s well worth the effort though - particularly on a frosty night!

Second visit this year. Brilliant!

Quite simply superb! The location alone makes it. However everything else is perfect too Hot shower , very cosy beds with quality spotlessly clean linen , everything you need in the kitchen , modern quality white goods and toasty warm throughout.
Miles and miles of dog walks , cycling and Mountain biking straight from the door.
If you need or want civilisation near by then you will have to drive a windy drive into Pitlochry or elsewhere. Not an issue for us.
Great customer service leading right upto our visits. If we are in the area again this is where we will be staying !

We spent our Autumn holidays at Charlottefield cottage and thouroughly enjoyed it. The cottage is cosy, very pretty and ideally equipped. The wood fire bath is another great feature. Lots of lovely places to explore nearby. We can‘t wait to be back.

Highly recommended!

The location of the cottage is great. The building services (heating, windows, etc.) are very good. The furnishings are of a very high quality. The cleanliness is excellent. Questions (by email) were answered quickly.
We really felt at home at Charlottefield!

Charlottefield is beautifully appointed in a very quiet and private location. Lovely tasteful decor and up to the minute appliances, wifi and smart tv. The ideal accommodation for relaxing, walking sight seeing and cycling.
Not ideal for sportsmen as no gun safe, fishing racks or drying facilities, but to be fair it is not advertised as such.
The stairs are quite steep with split level so elderly, infirm or young children should be aware of that. A hand rail or rope would be a useful addition.
An excellent holiday property.

Perfect holiday.

Comfortable, quirky cottage tastefully styled and with everything you need. Peaceful surroundings with lots of wildlife to spot. The view is beautiful, even though you are tucked away amongst the trees and there are so many great walks for you and the dogs. We didn't try the hot tub, we'll save that for an Autumn/Winter visit. Loved it!

We loved our stay in Charlottefield. Very comfortable and everything there you needed. The wood fired hot tub was an added bonus.
It’s a great location with fantastic views, very central for day trips.
Would definitely book again. Thank you

I really enjoyed my state in this recently refurbished cottage. Located up a gravel road and being surrounded by beautiful countryside, the cottage feels remote, but its actually just a few minutes from the A9, providing easy access both north to the Cairngorms and south.

The cottage is well equipped, and perfect for a couple's getaway, or for a young family. Having the washing machine and utility room right by the entrance was particularly useful for myself, coming in rather dusty from the days mountain biking.

I'd definitely stay here again.

Would be 5 stars across the board apart from one key part!

Myself and my family, 2 kids and Dog included, came up for a week from the midlands in England. On arrival at the lovely cottage we were excited for our week. Unfortunately it became quickly apparent that the outside space around the cottage wasn't fit for use by both children and dogs. Broken glass everywhere and discarded building materials rendered it useless. My daughter cut her hand on day one. Had we known when booking that this outside space wasn't finished, a mud bath and filled with discarded building items etc, we wouldn't have booked and although we have been given a slight reduction to the cost of our stay it does feel we have been short changed for what should be a perfect spot to stay. The cottage itself is perfect and the location couldn't be better but communication at the point of booking and transparency of how the property was outside was lacking. The house keeper who looks after the house was great in communicating with me and did what she could to help out but the whole outside needs a lot of work. If that is sorted then it is a gem of a place.
