These Cabins have the most tranquil position above the loch, and we had a most relaxing stay. The weather was excellent, so we were able to walk, relax and chill out magnificently.
One of the nicest properties we’ve stayed in. Super comfortable, very warm (we had a fair amount of snow over the weekend) and the log burner made it so homely. Peaceful surroundings with lots of birdsong and very dark skies at night so the stars were stunning Response to emails was almost instant which was so reassuring. We had a relaxing stay and love the area and the cottage.
So good, I’d rather keep it a secret. A good location in the highlands to tour around other places especially historic sites around Perth. Equally convenient for walking in the Cairngorms or visiting Inverness.
Quiet country retreat. Booking process easy. Staff helpful. Gravel track to reach cottage not suitable for sports or low slung cars. Comfortable accommodation with outdoor hot tub and barbecue. Well equipped including wi-fi. Not far from Pitlochry and Dunkeld. Great place for a walking holiday.
Just back from the most relaxing stay at Glen Glack Cabins and honestly didn’t want to leave. I stayed in the Rowan cabin, tucked away beside Cally Loch, and it was the perfect mix of luxury and peace surrounded by nature. Waking up to the views over the loch, sitting by the fire after long walks, and completely switching off from everything was exactly what I needed. The cabin itself was beautifully designed, cosy but modern, and had everything you could want for a quiet getaway in the Highlands. One of my favourite things was how peaceful it felt — just forests, wildlife, fresh air and...more
We had a lovely, relaxing few days in a very peaceful location. Lapwing is very compact but beautifully appointed.
Fantastic location in total peace, but not far from town if required. Access to amazing countryside and variety of walks for the dogs. The cabin was beautiful, clean, comfortable and lovely decor. Seating area overlooking the loch was perfect for enjoying the morning sun!! Although other cabins relatively nearby the trees and natural surroundings in between maintain high levels of privacy. Overall absolutely perfect for what we wanted with young child and 2 dogs. Will definitely be back again
We had a wonderful stay at this house. It was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up, making it feel like a home away from home. The location was great, and everything we needed was provided. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it.
We enjoyed our stay in the annex. Great equipment in the kitchen and laundry. The place is wonderful. The nearby cottages were empty so we had the whole place to ourselves. Hope to come back some day.
Steph kindly squeezed my son and I in at very short notice, and we stayed in the truly beautiful farmhouse enjoying the local woods and wildlife for a few days. We’ll definitely be back soon! The perfect getaway.
Such a wonderful place to stay, very comfortable and well equipped and a great place to stay - a geologists' dream, right next to famous rocks visited by James Hutton in 1785 - and he stayed in Forest Lodge too, although I believe the furniture and fittings have been updated since then :)
The Willow cabin at Glen Glack was an oasis in the woods for us as we traveled in Scotland. Peaceful setting, fully equipped home gave us a chance to rest up on a busy trip. Close to the cute village of Dunkeld with excellent food and beverage, the Glan Glack cabins are a great choice for travelers.
My husband and I had a wonderful weekend in Curlew lodge with our Border Collie Leia. The Shepherd’s hut is beautiful and so well equipped, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom facilities are great. The views are great and the hut is well located to explore Dunkeld, Pitlochry and beyond. Thoroughly recommend for a dog friendly weekend escape.
We found a place where we could get together as a family (from London, Maastricht & Quedlinburg) and really unwind after busy weeks at work. We thoroughly enjoyed spending our holidays in these wonderful surroundings. The holiday cottage had everything we needed – both in terms of location and facilities. There was plenty of space for us to get together, yet everyone had their own space to retreat to. The furnishings were comfortable, practical and full of character. The view from the kitchen was the highlight for us. Sometimes it was enough simply to watch the changing weather and the anima...more
Old Blair Lodge was perfect for a week with dear friends. We hiked, biked, visited the area, enjoyed the castle and beautiful gardens. Estate staff were super organized and responsive. Could not have asked for a more perfect stay!
Lovely lodge in a beautiful setting . Wood fired bath excellent. Very secluded. Could do with some maintenance - fridge door shelf broken so could not get milk in,shower drain blocked -reported but not fixed before leaving. No storage cupboard for food.Nice touch having eggs left on arrival but given high cost of lodge - £300 per night- maybe a welcome basket with milk, bread, biscuits would be appropriate. Towels for using with the wood fired bath would be a welcome addition-a lovely lady did deliver some when requested.
Well presented unique lodge in a magical and beautiful surrounding. Its location in a tranquil and peaceful spot is the place to unwind. The property was also very clean. Description fitted the property. Using bottled water was no problem as there was amble supply, needed only a bit of adjustment. Although the track to Marble Lodge proved to be a bit daunting for our car, we loved very moment of our stay. Our next car will be an electric vehicle. The possibility to be able to charge the car at Marble Lodge might entice a next stay. Appreciated the free entry to Blair Atholl castle as wel...more
We love the location but found the sofa very uncomfortable. The bed was excellent but we feel that there would not be enough seating for four adults in the lounge. TV reception not great. There was evidence of dog hairs on carpet and furniture. The soft furnishings in the kitchen weee grubby.
This was a great base for our fishing week with a party of 9. The Lodge is spacious and comfortable, it is quiet and peaceful but not remote.
