Bibby Lot is a cosy terraced cottage in the heart of the Lake District. Situated on the central estate Home Farm Courtyard, the cottage is just a stones throw away from the swimming pool, farm shop and play area. It is perfect for a family getaway.

Great little cottage.stayed here following wedding at silverholme.
Everything we needed kitchen wise
Cosy lounge to relax in..
3 other cottages were booked at same time by family so was great to all be so close but still have your own space
Kids loved having private time in pool
Also booked archery and axe throwing.highly reccomend.great fun
Would love to return as big family group again

A great location and property, although there is a water leak in the kitchen ceiling when it rains, which looks as though it has been ongoing for a while.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bibby Lot. The cottage was well furnished with good quality items and had everything we needed. The large living room was great for bringing the wider group together.

We did think the games room could do with some investment as the games were in a very poor condition. We enjoyed the pool but it could have been a bit cleaner - quite a few hairs in the water and bits of rubbish in changing area.

Overall though it was a great venue for our family get together. The outdoor seating and BBQs were well used.

Needs an upgrade in the bathroom with a better shower, pressure was awful and extractor fan wasn’t working. Mould on shower screen.
Kitchen very nice and well equipped. Living area needed the sofas cleaning.
The bedrooms are very small for 6 adults sharing. Ideal for children not all adults. Beds uncomfortable and creaky. The location was great as had a family wedding at a nearby venue.

We haven't been for 10 years, we use to come every year sometimes twice a year.
Stunning location
When we first came it had all mod cons and a wow factor, now a little tired in parts. We could never find the shop open.We never meet anyone so cant really give an honest reply to customer service. Our front door badly jammed, you had to really slam it hard to it close - again tried to report it, but shop closed and only saw the cleaners who we mentioned it to.
Very much like the idea of booking a swimming slot
Didn't like or need the extra fridge/freezer in the lobby area need that for coats and gear.
Had to pull the table out to sit round for meals and that meant that you couldn't get passed
It was not very warm in the house at times. If you went out when would came back you had to but the timed radiators back on and they never warmed the house fully
Very well stocked kitchen and appreciated stuff left for guests
Lounge was a good size - would the dinning table and chairs fit better there and make more room in the kitchen
Certain we would not stay in that particular cottage again - rather Homestead or Bullpen
If I was to be honest ,slightly disappointed having remembered what it use to be like.
Will come again though and thanks

Everything was excellent about the following.

The games room was filthy with rubbish everywhere. There were no table tennis balls.

It would have been nice if the planters around the courtyard had been sorted out especially at this time of the year. They were full of rubbish and weeds. The cut back hydrangea outside the front door to the cottage scatched quite a few of us as there isn't much room at the front for 6 people to sit.

The bath panel was filthy and the downstairs toilet cistern wasn't working properly. The door to the bedroom with the white bunk beds in didn't shut.

There were only 2 teaspoons.

Slightly longer than a weekend. We were there for a wedding which took place at nearby Silverhulme Manor. The cottage was very clean and well equipped.lovely surrounding countryside and walks. Only slight quibble was the lack of storage space in twin bedroom, otherwise perfect.

We had a wonderful 4 days at Graithwaite with our 3 sons and their wives and children, one family coming over from Australia who we hadn’t seen in the flesh for 3 years. So a lovely reunion for us and the cousins. Thank you

We had a great stay at this cottage. Well equipped. The location is fantastic, right next to the pool and amenities. The walking from the house is also great. Only improvements would be that the sofas are comfy but tired and the master bed is too soft and squeaky!

We really enjoyed staying at Graythwaite. We booked late and probably didn’t read the details properly of where we were going - we thought we were going to be nearer the lake. We really enjoyed our stay at Bibby Lot with lots of lovely walks and activities for the more adventurous. Note to anyone coming - try to book activities in advance. This area is beautiful and lots of places to explore. The shop was really handy and the frozen meal options delicious when we didn’t feel like cooking. A couple of things would have made us give a higher rating - a king size bed and some updating of some kitchen equipment. The latter seems picky but having paid a substantial amount for accommodation for six and having just a couple of some types of glasses and just 3 teaspoons for example it is something that it would be better not to have to notice. That being said it in no way spoilt our time here just a bit of feedback.

We did enjoy the week but the cottage needs some attention.. At the beginning I pointed out that the lack of fridge door shelves, which had I presume been broken and not replaced, meant that the small under counter fridge was totally inadequate for 6 people. I requested an extra fridge but did not get one. There were a few other maintenance issues eg,. the under worktop kitchen lights did not work and had no bulb, there was no tin opener though 2 bottle openers, part of the shower fixing was off and the upstairs toilet didn't flush reliably. Curtains were hanging off the hooks. Bench under the table would be better replaced with chairs as you bang your legs on it.
Good quality linen and towels and liked the welcome items.Double bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the Estate and the week anyway.

A pleasant cottage in a lovely location. We felt it was quite a squash for our party of 5/6, particularly the dining area which was really only adequate for 4. The decor is a bit tired in places, eg the lamps and light fittings in the bedrooms. The clock on the mantelpiece was stopped and needed a new battery - a bit depressing when it’s the first thing you notice on arrival! The sitting room reading lamp didn’t work, nor did the light over the work surface, but the house is cosy and warm, and there was ample wood provided for a fire. One thing we would really have appreciated is a decent map of the estate - the little one provided in the welcome pack was not adequate and a colour printed A4 size on arrival (or laminated in the cottage) would have been much more helpful. The swimming pool is lovely, and much appreciated by our family. We didn’t have the opportunity to barbecue but appreciated the potential.
