Newlands is a great top floor property. It was nice to share with another couple in the wedding party since there were 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so each couple still had privacy. It had everything you needed. A bit pricey but overall a very good experience.

Great cottage. Kitchen was well equiped and had a welcome pack of biscuits, tea and coffee. Cosy living room. What really let it down was the shower. No water pressure, almost impossible to wash hair.

We have stayed at Graythwaite a number of times and always love it. This time was no exception. Great walks through the estate. Friendly and helpful staff. Cottage very comfortable and clean.

The location is fantastic.
The cottage generally ok, needs attention to detail for the price paid,
The shower had no pressure at all, so just a trickle, put up with it for the couple of nights we stayed, couldn’t have put up with it for a longer stay the surround around the shower fitting hadn’t been finished off so scruffy looking, carpet on the bathroom floor, a definite no no, dubious stains on an obviously recently fitted carpet
Two holes in the carpet underneath where a new radiator had been fitted
Paint missing off the walls, back of the front door look like it had been scratched off by a cat or dog.
Could be so much better for the price paid

Super and cosy cottage, in the beautiful estate. The cottage shop is brilliant and the walks directly from the cottages onto the estate are beautiful. Highly recommend the Bushcraft experience with the Graythwaite Adventure team.

The property was comfortable and welcoming. We loved the fire in the evenings. . It was a real bonus having a shop on site. The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch and the swimming pool was fantastic. We really enjoyed having a swim before tea.
It is nice being on the quieter side of Windermere and away from it all but the road was a bit narrow and windy.
We enjoyed the activities on the estate - we went canoeing and 4x4 off roading. Great fun!

We had an amazing stay with friends in this ideal location. V impressed with the accommodation- all clean, cosy & well equipped! Location was AMAZING, stunning scenery & the estate was fabulous to explore. Particularly liked running down to the lake & having swims from the private beach there! Really felt secluded & away from the crowds. Well stocked friendly shop convenient too. Kids loved trying: swimming (in lake & pool); kayaking; axe throwing & archery. All easy to book & on the estate so v rarely needed to take the car anywhere. Top family holiday with chums. Just what we all needed! Ps pizza van was DELICIOUS too!!! Thank you!!
