This first floor courtyard apartment is located in the heart of the Lake District with beautiful views across the Esthwaite Valley.

It features a cosy sitting room with homely furnishings wrapped around a wood-burning stove – the perfect place to relax after a long day exploring the sights. There is also a dining area set in the window and exposed beams adding to the character of the cottage.

The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms comprise of a double and a family room with adult bunks and a single bed.To the exterior you have ample off-road parking and shared use of the lawned garden.

We stayed to visit Hawkshead Christmas and also the car rally, which was cancelled, we had a great time this year but not as much fun as last year when we were snowed in!

This property is ideal for those attending a wedding at Silverholme Manor. However there were a couple of points which need addressing to further enhance the experience.
The fridge small freezer door is missing which leads to the fridge leaking water onto the floor constantly.
The shower is showing signs of age and needs the sealant renewing to eliminate the black mould marks.

Lovely cottages and apartments. We stay on the farm in beautiful, clean, nicely decorated apartments with a rustic feel which are dog friendly. It’s peace and quiet, beautiful views and away from crowds yet close enough to do all the fun things offered in the Lakes.

Within ten minutes of arrival, toilet broke. Maintenance arrived swiftly but not fixed sufficiently, had trouble all weekend.
Shower, no hot water supply, so shower not usable with three young children.
Husband took part in a huge sport event, not able to shower after.
Fridge defrosted by itself overnight, water all over kitchen floor.
No shop close by, without the use of a car. Farm shop extortionately priced.
Not allowed to use the swimming facilities based on where we were staying, so made to feel like riff raff. No privacy, can hear next door and below like they're in the next room.
Overall, very disappointed, especially as it cost alot to stay just two nights and on top of that, they are quick to take a £150 safety deposit without ensuring the facilities are fit for purpose.

Really nice property, plenty of walks from the door and really good value for five of us and a dog. Will certainly stay again!

The apartment is in a great location and provides everything one might need. All rooms are decorated nicely; the bathroom is very small and doesn't provide storage. Overall, the property is older than some of the others we have stayed in and needs a little DYI in some areas.

Courtyard needs work. Accessible outside space could be provided for each property with some reorganisation and effort.
