New Lane Cottage is our grade II listed thatched cottage located on the edge of the Worstead Estate - our little sanctuary in North Norfolk. The cottage occupies a private position at the end of a wood-lined drive, within easy distance of the local villages of Worstead and Dilham. With so much to see and do in the surrounding area, this quaint detached cottage is ideal for couples and friends.

A beautiful setting, cottage and stay. Celebrated my 40th birthday here, and I would highly recommend it. The cottage is beautifully furnished with everything you need. I will definitely book again!

The cottage is beautiful and seeing it at the bottom of the lane as you drive in is truly magical, it feels like the film 'The Holiday'! We stayed for 5 nights and there is plenty to do in the local area, although we spent most of the time enjoying the fire or the hot tub. The Suffield Arms and The Recruiting Sergeant are well worth visiting, the circular work past The Woodyard and through Worstead is great. The cottage is spotless, and tastefully decorated. Do not be put off by the stairs, as long as you are able they are perfectly doable and add some lovely character to the property. Thank you to Charlotte for assisting us promptly with all our queries. We would highly recommend this cottage.

This is our second trip to New Lane Cottage after we found this little gem by accident in 2022. The cottage is super cosy, has lots of original features and is extremely well equipped. The cottage is a great location for Norwich and various coastal points if you can drag yourself away from the the wood burning stove and snug lounge. Set on the Worstead Estate you can take in some lovely walks and spot local deer .. although they are quite keen to wander around the cottage grounds too. Booking arrangements are very easy and the property team are extremely helpful and accommodating. We'll definitely be back!

A picturesque cottage tucked away behind the woods. It had all the comforts we needed and with the log fire was warm and cosy. Well worth another visit.

The cottage was immaculate, worstead team catered to all our needs. The cottage was in a quiet road, away from all noise, picture perfect cottage, ideal for those who want to escape and relax

We had a wonderful stay at New Lane cottage. We enjoyed day trips all around Norfolk and the cottage provided a cozy retreat. We slept amazingly in the comfortable beds, and the sitting room was very nice with a log burner. Kitchen had all we needed to cook some meals in the evenings.
We struggled operating the shower head in the bathroom, and wish there would've been some shower gel provided, and also some more toilet paper.
The cottage is next to a rail line which we knew beforehand, and the occasional trains passing didn't bother us. But there is also a factory just across the rails which spoiled the view a bit and caused noise.

We really enjoyed a visit to the nearby beer brewery, as well as the beautiful woodlands in the area.

Overall, a great trip and the beautiful drive up to the cottage will stay in our memories!

A perfect little cottage for a relaxing break. The whole family loved our stay, we played out on the garden for hours and spent evenings playing board games. The cottage was cosy and comfortable. Lovely location for a boat trip on the Norfolk broads and not far to go to reach beautiful beaches. We took the train to Cromer and had a fab day out in Bewilderwood. Would highly recommend!

A beautiful and tranquil little story book cottage. We took 2 teenage children with us and I can now completely see why it is sold as a “romantic” cottage! Horse riding on the doorstep was fantastic. The cottage has everything you need and was warm and welcoming when we arrived after a long drive. We enjoyed exploring the local area using the cottage as a base.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The cottage is an excellent base for exploring North Norfolk and surrounding area.

The hot tub is an inspired and welcome addition. Please do your best to retain it.

A micro wave oven would be a useful addition.

We hope to return next year.

New Lane Cottage is absolutely stunning, and full of charm and character. The hot tub was an excellent addition, and we enjoyed relaxing in this after long walks around the beautiful rivers and fields in the area. Lovely spacious garden which the dog enjoyed very much. The stairs are very steep, but we got used to the after a few trips up and down so this was no problem at all. I would definitely recommend a trip to New Lane Cottage, and we will be returning in the future, that is for sure!

I booked New Lane Cottage as a little rest break before starting a new job. The first picture online totally won me over - such a picturesque little cottage AND a hot tub.
Charlotte, the property manager, was really helpful before our stay and we were given plenty of information to make our stay enjoyable. Likewise, the groundsman who came and checked the hot tub each day was super friendly and gave us lots of local tips.
The cottage had nearly everything we needed (a small freezer and a shaver’s socket were the only things we missed) and we particularly enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and then lighting the fire in the evenings and settling down to a movie on the Estate’s Netflix account - great idea as no-one ever remembers their passwords!
The bed was really comfy and, despite the cottage’s close proximity to the Norwich-Cromer Railway line and the Bartlett’s potato factory, we slept in every morning and barely noticed it.
If you like walking, there’s plenty and we would highly recommend a trip to Happisburgh.
We will definitely be back again, it was just what the doctor ordered.

The cottage was beautiful and had everything you could need for a cosy and comfortable stay. Positioned at the end of a lane we were tucked away but were able to travel to both Norwich and the coast in less than 40 minutes. The seals on the coast were an added bonus!

Idyllic spot, away from the stresses of everyday life. The hot tub on site enhanced our stay and it was thoroughly maintained. A couple of problems dealt with speedily and in a very pleasant manner, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.
