The house is fantastic , but what really sets it apart is the estate , staying in a woodland estate with an abundance of woodland, wildlife,walking trails was amazing , The estates staff went over and above to help us and make sure we had a good stay Def would book again
Had a lovely week at Holly House, we knew the house was large as we needed it for all 14 of us. But it was much bigger than we expected, plenty of space to spread out and do our own thing if we wanted to. The rooms were also large enough to all be together for meals and playing games. Great garden area front and back just a shame we couldn't of made more use of it but the weather wasn't to kind to us that week. the pool table got a lot of use as did the hot tub.
Gatehouse North is luxury accommodation in an idyllic setting. We can‘t fault it in any way. Our weather wasn‘t great (in June!), so we couldn’t make use of the beautiful garden and patio, but having the cozy lounge and lovely open plan kitchen to relax and eat in still felt like a treat. The hot tab was fab though, and we enjoyed our evening walk through the estate. Wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation.
Lovely little cottage in a beautiful location Some highlights - staff friendly and accommodating - location beautiful - property spotless and spacious Some areas for improvements (it should be noted this didn’t ruin our stay but worth noting l) - main bedroom door latch does not close and swings open. This does mean the green emergency light outside on the staircase is always visible and light comes into the room - kitchen bowl - could just do with being a new clean one as feels like previous tenants have maybe poured oil on it so it was a little sticky to use and clean baby...more
