A beautiful spacious Four Star Gold, stone-built barn conversion, with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams offering high quality comfortable accommodation, with modern facilities. We relaxed from the moment we unpacked and used the private hot tub (which was amazing!), looking over the fields towards the sea in the distance. We were very fortunate to have excellent weather throughout our ten day visit.

The cottage was clean and very comfortable - so much space for two people and it was lovely to have so much private outdoor space too.

Location for Looe and the surrounding area is perfect for exploring the South Cornish coast. There are good places to eat out and we shopped at the local farm shop a couple of times. The 'Smuggler's Cot' and 'Sardine Factory' restaurants in Looe were superb and we would also recommend the 'Coddy Shack' which is a very short drive from the cottage.

Graham was very friendly and helpful, and has good knowledge of the area, including local events.

Without a doubt, this is one of the best cottages we have stayed at.

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Linhay which is a lovely cottage for two people at East Trenean Farm which is a few miles outside Looe. Apart from being very spacious and comfortable it is the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in and the hot tub in the private garden is the icing on the cake! You will not be disappointed if you book.

Linhay certainly was a 5* property in every respect. Top quality furnishings & fittings, very comprehensively equipped & spotlessly clean on arrival. Nice to receive the items of local produce in the welcome pack. Lovely, peaceful outdoor space with beautiful views. The hot tub is well placed to enjoy the views, very private and well maintained throughout our stay. Graham & Jane were friendly hosts but not intrusive. It was lovely to explore this part of Cornwall, a first visit for us as we usually venture futher south into the county.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Linhay to future guests.

The Linhay has everything a couple needs for a peaceful holiday, with friendly helpful owners on site, should you have any concerns or for the local knowledge. The hot tub was lovely and had amazing views of the unspoilt countryside and the beautiful gardens, there was always bird life to watch whether from the hot tub, patio or cottage windows. Good location close to Looe, taxi £14 ew saved the hassle of parking, in order to enjoy a few drinks and a good meal. The beaches at Seaton and Talland are worth a visit, both have toilets and refreshments available. We can certainly recommend a stay in this well equipped and VERY comfortable cottage and hope to come back. Thank you Graham & Jane PS the eggs were lovely

A perfect week in The Linhay Barn. An immaculate and extremely comfortable property, very well equipped, with a beautiful garden (& hot tub), and a fabulous view over the countryside. A great spot for a glass of wine in the evening or relaxing with a good book during the day. We found it difficult to go and about as we were so happy just to relax and soak up the peace and quiet. Loved watching some little birds (chiff-chaffs) flitting in and out of the shrubbery outside the bedroom in the mornings whilst having our early morning cuppa. Jane & Graham are wonderful hosts and make you feel very welcome. Looking forward to another visit already.

We chose The Linhay to spend our 30th wedding anniversary week, and it did not disappoint! The Barn itself was spotless, extremely spacious and had beautiful views from the windows. Our hosts Graham and Jane were very friendly and helpful, always on hand for advice and assistance, and we appreciated the welcome hamper and delicious free-range eggs from their chickens. The outside space was extremely private and very quiet, perfect for our romantic break, and the hot tub was fantastic with its far-reaching views of the countryside. Sadly the weather wasn't too kind to us during our stay so we weren't able to sit out on the patio and enjoy the garden with a glass of wine as much as we'd have liked to. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to return again another time xx

Our three nights at the Linhay were delightful. The stay was incredibly relaxing. The cottage lived up to its expectations - it was clean, well-equipped, spacious, cozy, and with a beautiful view just as shown on the website. We didn’t go out much, but enjoyed the comfort of the cottage and the hot tub.

We had a lovely stay in the linhay cottage in June this year. The hot tub was an added bonus to sit out and admire the views of an evening. The cottage was a really good size and good value for money. We really appreciated the hamper on arrival. This was a good base to explore cornwall. We also admired the well kept plants and flowers in the gardens around the cottage. The electric charger was really handy and we enjoyed looking at the sheep from the car park.

My partner and I stayed at East Trenean Farm in the Linhay Cottage for a short getaway after our wedding. It’s the second time we have visited (we got engaged there in 2020!) and the cottage and location is absolutely beautiful. We spent an excellent week at East Trenean Farm. We were extremely lucky with the weather and the accommodation was conveniently situated for sea and countryside excursions.
Linhay was spacious, clean and well equipped for all our needs. The large garden had a panoramic view of fields and valleys.
Our first holiday in an electric car was made stress free by the EV charge point for our exclusive use.
We would highly recommend East Trenean Farm.

We stayed at the Linhay for one week and it did not disappoint! The views looking out onto the rolling farmland hills was a delight to wake up to every morning. The location is amazing with being roughly 10 minutes from Looe, Talland Bay, Seaton, everything is around you. The property was extremely clean when we arrived and had all the essentials we needed. Plenty of internal and external space to use. The hot tub was one of the best we have had, even better at night under the lights of the pergola. Graham and Jane were the most accommodating hosts we have had, they were so welcoming and made the stay that bit better! It was so good that I even proposed on the grounds, after Jane gave us a tour around the farm to find the right location for it. We loved our stay at East Trenean Farm and can highly recommend. We will most definitely be returning, I think we have found our go to stay in Cornwall.

I cannot recommend Linhay at East Trenean Farm highly enough! Just returned from a wonderful week in a beautiful cottage that has everything you could wish for. Located in a fantastic position with outstanding views of the surrounding countryside. The owners, Graham and Jane, are wonderful hosts and are on hand if there are any problems, not that there were, but good to know they were there, although not intrusive in the slightest.
The cottage was immaculate with a beautiful garden to relax in and the hot tub was a great delight. All extremely private and just what you want if you need a complete chillout as we did. The cottage although only having one bedroom was extremely spacious - amazing!
Lovey places to visit nearby such as Looe and Polperro and beautiful walks.

Thank you Graham & Jane for a wonderful week and we will definitely be returning, together with recommending you to our friends and family. East Trenean Farm is an idyllic place to stay and a credit to you both.

A warm welcome when we arrived we found staying at Linhay very comfortable and enjoyed using Hot Tub after visiting areas as was a good location in Cornwall.

Just returned from the linhay. Had a beautiful weekend stay for our anniversary.

Paul and I return yearly, sometimes twice yearly to East trenean farm and have been doing so for approximately 10 years.
It is a beautiful part of Cornwall. East trenean farm is the best place we have ever stayed both home or abroad. Its a stunning location, the barns are immaculate warm ,exceptionally clean and their hosts Graham and Jane are fantastic.
They should be very proud of their little piece of cornish heaven.

This is our third visit to East Trenean Farm staying in Linhay, and it never disappoints. The accommodation is decorated and furnished to a very high standard and is absolutely spotless. The bed is possibly the most comfortable bed we've ever had in a holiday let. Hot tub is a bonus and looks out onto rolling countryside, absolutely perfect.
Graham and Jane are perfect hosts and are always happy to answer any questions we may have.
We will definitely be back.

Choosing February is always touch and go but we scored highly with everything, comfort, location, space and heat (in the hot tub).
Our hosts were wonderful and we will try and come back again.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Linhay. The property is immaculate, and the views from the garden are stunning. Everything you could need is provided and the property provides the perfect retreat. Whilst we didn't experience good weather for our stay, we visited local places in the mornings and returned to the hot tub and the comfort of Linhay in the afternoons and evenings.

The hosts are very welcoming and are on hand if needed. We appreciated the welcome pack with freshly laid eggs from the farm which we enjoyed for our breakfast.

After much searching on the internet to find somewhere special to celebrate our Pearl Wedding Anniversary, we were delighted to find Linhay and would highly recommend the property.

We look forward to returning and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was our 2nd visit to Linhay and it won't be our last.
The property is spacious, comfortable, well maintained and extremely clean, we really couldn't find fault. The huge bed (could be split into 2 singles) was very comfortable and gave a great night's sleep. View is amazing too.
Kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need including a coffee machine and the most amazing toaster that toasted bread evenly!! (I didn't think they existed and am definitely going to invest in one lol). Also lots of little extras provided which are really useful for self catering accommodation, such as, kitchen roll, washing up liquid , sponge/cloth, salt and pepper, etc.
Very thoughtful touch is the hamper on arrival, which is full of some basics and some delicious cake.
Our hosts were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Will we return? Most definitely.

My wife and I have just spent an amazing week in the Linhay cottage at the East Trenean Farm. It is a perfect location, 3 miles or so from Looe, set in the most tranquil and scenic countryside imaginable. The cottage itself was first-class, extremely comfortable, spacious and with the interior done to a very high standard. The garden is lovely, complete with hot-tub and BBQ on a patio, which backs onto gorgeous countryside with stunning views. The farm's hens will even pop by now and then to say hello!

Lots of extras were included, like the thoughtful welcome hamper, in fact everything that you could possibly need during your stay. It really is a little piece of Cornish paradise. Thank you so much! We certainly hope to book again in the near future.

What a fantastic place.
The first thing to say is that we stay in holiday rentals frequently and this was by far the cleanest and most well equipped that we have visited. Graham and Jane were superb hosts, achieving exactly the right balance between service and respecting our privacy. We had come to relax and totally chill out and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. Opening the French windows in the bedroom and viewing the beautiful scenery over coffee was an excellent start to every day. The owners had thought of everything (even down to a knife sharpener!) and, apart from the occasional food shop , we literally didn’t leave the place.
It was lovely to have a welcome pack of milk, tea, biscuits, cake and locally produced juice as well as farm eggs. These were very much enjoyed. Relaxing in the hot tub was a lovely end to the day.
We have found our yearly retreat and will be booking again soon.
If you want to recharge this is the one for you!

We had an excellent family holiday at the East Trenean Farm and our stay at Linhay was superb. The other two houses (Threshing Barn and the Corn Barn) were equally superb.

We would highly recommend these well situated self catering cottages. Its of the highest standard, truly 5 star. And perfect for a family gathering.

Graham and Jane went above and beyond to make our visit relaxing and enjoyable, nothing was ever too much trouble. The accommodation was extremely comfortable. With attention to detail at the very top of the list. From the warm welcome we received on arrival, to the well filled basket of local goodies our introduction to the area started off on the right note. The information pack was really helpful, together with maps and things to do in the area.

The views were outstanding and the amenities were all to hand. Perfect for those with young children - the play area, or the "park" as ours called it, was excellent, with many toys and equipment for them to enjoy.

We had fun meeting in the "quadrant" to enjoy pre dinner gatherings, and we managed to eat outside too. All well laid out and it was easy for the families to interact with each other.

We got to enjoy the fabulous hot tub (each house having their own) these were kept exceptionally clean and we spotted Graham out there every day making sure all was well.

Sometimes, (maybe the rain didn't always help) the internet was a little intermittent, but we seemed to work round it in the end!

It is definitely a place we shall return to. Sad to say, our was not long enough!

Graham and Jane were very friendly and professional. The service was great. The cottage was clean and the welcome basket was lovely. The hot tub was checked daily and was a perfect way to end the day after walking around Cornwell. The view from the cottage is just breathtaking and we had all the privacy we needed. Graham and Jane were very responsive, and welcoming.
The only negative comment I would add is that check out was early. Other then that, everything was smooth and uncomplicated. Thank you Graham and Jane and keep up the great work.

My husband and I have been going to East trenean for our anniversary for many years. It is our own little bit of cornish heaven. It is a superb place to stay,beautifully kept,,very clean,spacious and welcoming. The owners Graham and Jane are wonderful hosts,they are there if needed but allow you to spend your holiday your way. We always pre book as soon as we leave and have also taken family there. I couldn't recommend it enough

Stayed in Linhay for a long weekend. Clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you could need. Having the hot tub was fantastic, with glorious views over the countryside. Only a short drive into Looe, and plenty of places to walk and explore, with shops and restaurants etc close at hand. Really friendly hosts, and plenty of information ahead of the stay, and in the cottage, to make the most of the time there.

We booked the linhay and Cornbarn for a family gathering. It was fantastic great facilities, friendly people, beautiful location.

Our stay in The Linhay was utterly superb. The cottage was extremely high end, the views were outstanding and the hosts were super lovely. It was an idyllic weekend and we cannot wait to return!

Just returned from a short break and have to say our stay was fabulous. We stayed in Linhay which was perfect for 2. The view from every room was stunning and the hot tub was perfect. The cottage was absolutely spotless and extremely well equipped with a high standard of fixtures and fittings. Nothing has been left to chance and the friendly hosts are on site and eager to please if anything is amiss. My only niggle would be that the sofa in the lounge was not the most comfortable but it certainly wouldn't deter me from staying again. We will definitely return.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Linhay Cottage which is 5* quality in every way together with all home comforts and the added bonus of a wonderful hot tub. Graham and Jane have created a peaceful haven yet only 3 miles away from Looe. Would definitely recommend and intend visiting again.

We have been staying at The Linhay at East Trenean Farm since it was first available to rent. The new owners - Graham and Jane have continued the great experience from previous years and have gone even further with the installation of a hot tub and new outside chairs/table. It really is a place to get away from it all and we love it. Have already booked for next year.

We had a lovely few days here. I walked in the Linhay it was immaculate..the views are stunning. Everything we needed was there...The hot tub was so lovely after a long drive to get there was just what we needed...we used the local farm shop it stocks Everything.. Will definitely go back.

Thank you for allowing us to help you feed the chickens something I'd never done..

The Barn provides everything needed to make a “home from home”. Very comfortable yet stylish with many thoughtful touches. The views are lovely, quiet location and the hot tub was icing on the cake! Thoroughly recommended.

We have just returned form an amazing holiday at Trenean Farm , we booked both the Linhay and Threshing Barn for a family break . The accommodation was definitely 5* with all needs catered for. The cottage was spotless and had everything you would need including a great jacuzzi with breathtaking views. Jane and Graham were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. I can’t recommend the Linhay enough.

What an amazing stay we had for our honeymoon. Jane and Graham were so polite and helpful when we arrived. The Linhay where we stayed was probably the most cleanest place we have ever stayed! All mod cons as well including the coffee machine :) and the hot tub.
We will definitely be returning at a later date.

We stayed in the Linhay for 4 nights during peak time in August. I couldn’t recommend East Trenan Farm enough. The housekeeping team are a real asset and the Linhay is just beautiful. The farm is well looked after and is very picturesque. We were able to completely relax on our stay but also able to venture out to the nearby towns if required. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch so thank you. I can’t wait to come back in the near future.
