We stayed in Threshing Barn for a long weekend to celebrate our daughter's 18th Birthday.

The Barn is wonderful and lends itself to any weather, we had 2 days of sunshine and enjoyed the outside space and the hot tub, followed by a storm, when it was lovely to be in the cosy barn and watch the trees.

The Barn is a great social space, with the large open plan lounge and mezzanine level, with wonderful views. The bedrooms are all downstairs and therefore very quiet if anyone fancies an early night.

Very well equipped kitchen, and spotlessly clean.

Jane and Graham were great hosts, and very helpful with recommending a local bakery for a birthday cake.

The Barn is a short drive to Loee and Liskeard (also accessible on the Looe Railway Line, which is a lovely trip)and Polperro.

Every part of our stay exceeded our expectations...we look forward to returning. Thank you

Very nice cottage with friendly and caring hosts, we've had a wonderful time there - despite the weather being wet and cold for a July. The entire place has a lot of historical charm - but all the comfort of a modern and smart building - it has been carefully refurbished but you can still feel the early days of farming with all its untold stories... We loved the hot tub in the pouring rain and the large living room, also there was a basket with local tasty products waiting for us when we arrived after a long drive. The owners were very supportive and relaxed, the location offers near day trips to Eden, Polperro, Fowey and other great places. We really enjoyed our stay at East Trenean and would recommend it any time !

Even before we arrived the owner, Jane, went above and beyond, receiving our grocery delivery and putting it away in the fridge and cupboards as we had been delayed and arrived later than planned. Upon arrival, the barn was very impressive in stature & cleanliness and very welcoming.
Fresh flowers on the table, a crate of welcome goodies in the kitchen & milk in the fridge were all little touches that were instantly noticed and appreciated.
A massive bonus at this property was that we were provided with enough cleaning products/toilet paper/dish washer tablets etc. for the duration of our stay, for which I am very grateful!
Beds were large and comfy, with crisp white bedding, providing a very good nights sleep for all. Toilets were plentiful - 3 in total - meaning there were never queues! Showers were hot and powerful!
The hot hub was loved by all and, even though we had gardens either side, it felt completely private.

Our children are older now, 16 and 21, but still enjoyed discovering the mezzanine area, with books and games. I have to give a mention here to the amazing fridge, which has a filtered water dispenser and cubed/crushed ice dispenser built in. All my young people drank all week was water, they’ve never been so hydrated!

I can think of no negative comments whatsoever about this property. My only word of caution to visitors would be to be careful turning into the lane the property is in as it is incredibly uneven with bumps and potholes and can catch you by surprise the first time.

We loved everything about this property and had a really enjoyable, easy stay there. We were a party of five and every one of us commented how lovely the barn was, the kids even want to go back for Christmas!

Absolutely fantastic week in Threshing Barn at East Trenean Farm with three young children. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived with a show around the house and outside area from Jane.
Spacious property with all the amenities you need to make your stay hassle free and particularly great to stay somewhere with good quality kitchen utensils and pans.
Stair gates and high chairs all ready to go for when we arrived and a lovely little welcome pack with free range eggs, milk and some tasty treats!
If you’re unfamiliar with the area (and Cornwall in general) the welcome pack is really useful, listing a variety of places to eat and some recommendations on places to visit, good beaches and walks etc. It’s this extra attention to detail that makes East Trenean such an enjoyable stay.
The farm grounds are great for young families with a lovely playground area (slides, swings and football goals) and there is also a walk around the surrounding fields which is nice to do on a sunny evening. We also enjoyed helping Jane feed the chickens one evening which our children loved!
We had a couple of mishaps with the dishwasher and toaster (no fault of anyone’s) that were dealt with immediately and was very much appreciated with three small children.
Overall we couldn’t recommend East Trenean highly enough and can’t wait to revisit for another family adventure soon! Thank you Graham and Jane for being such great hosts.

A lovely place in a lovely setting, lovely scenery and views. Cottage very comfortable, spacious, very well equipped, private with our private hot tub. Ideal for our family having children with us.

For a family getaway in Cornwall the Threshing Barn couldn’t be beaten. We had an amazing week with our son (7yr old). Even in the pouring rain there was plenty of entertainment to be found in the barn and a huge play area with everything kids could want on site.

For arrival we had clear instructions, an easy check-in, and a really impressive Barn with private garden, hot tub and well equipped kitchen/living area for our stay. We didn’t need to bring books or games as many were provided.

The bedrooms were spacious and bright with big comfy beds. And the bathrooms were good, including an excellent power shower. One note, as the bedrooms are on the lower ground floor you can hear people in the living areas above you, esp when they walk across the floor - it’s an old property so creaks are to be expected and it didn’t adjust how amazing this place is to stay but it is worth knowing.

The barn is in a great location for Looe, Polperro, and generally exploring the Cornish coast - lots of info was given by Jane and Graeme (who are lovely hosts). We were lucky enough to meet all the hens and even get some eggs for our dinner - it’s these thoughtful touches that make it a special place to visit.

Final useful note (not about the threshing barn) we tried the local farm shop, it was fine for essentials but wouldn’t recommend it for a full shop.

We stayed at the barn in February for a long w/e to attend our sons Passing Out in the Royal Navy.
The owners have thought of everything and spared no expense in the renovations, you could live there!
We had special requests that Jane & Graham were really helpful with , highly recommended gor a winter weekend . Really warm and cosy. We even enjoyed the hot tub

We had a gorgeous, totally chilled and relaxing five night stay over Christmas in the beautiful Threshing Barn. Warm and toasty on arrival, complete with Christmas tree and decorations.. the photo's don't do it justice. An amazing living space and absolutely immaculate throughout. Super, well equipped kitchen with absolutely everything we needed for a Christmas break away ~ a complete home from home. The log burner came into it's own on the dark December evenings, especially after being out for the day in the rain and cold. A great base for exploring further afield, we visited Eden, Fowey and Golitha falls ~ and had a great breakfast at The Lookout in Looe. It's hands down one of the best places we've stayed in and will definitely be back. If you're looking for a stunning quality self-catering stay in this beautiful part of Cornwall, stop searching and book.. you won't regret it.

We stayed here for a week and had a very comfortable stay. The cottage is beautiful, tastefully decorated and ample space for kids. It’s very clean and has everything one might need.
We enjoyed the hot tub which was also kept very clean and at a perfect temperature for summer evenings.
It’s well located and we got to explore the area everyday during the stay.

A week in Cornwall for three couples. The Threshing Barn is amazingly appointed, super spacious and everything you could want for a getaway. The hot tub and log burner are definitely highlights. A wonderful welcome pack on arrival with fresh eggs and local produce is the sort of touch that Hosts Graham and Jane make things that little bit special. Well located for a peaceful stay just three miles from Looe, makes exploring the Cornish south coast very accessible. Highly recommended, and a five stars from me.

Have just returned from East trenean farm. Absoiute heaven.,made even more special with beautiful cornish sunshine. Graham and Jane are excellent hosts and should be very proud of their little piece of paradise.

Graham and Jane were friendly and welcoming hosts when we stayed at the Threshing Barn. The accommodation was spacious and very clean with bags of charm and the enclosed garden was very private. We particularly enjoyed using the hot tub after our long walks in this beautiful part of Cornwall. If I was to make one suggestion for improvement, it would be to provide sun loungers for use in the garden - other than that - it was perfect.

I booked threshing and corn barn for my mother in laws 70th birthday. We had the most amazing time in the most wonderful place.

The location was perfect. Our reason for the trip was to visit the Eden Project. We had people travelling from up north, so it was great for them to have the accommodation north of Eden. Apart from our trip to The Eden Project there was no need to leave the farm as they have all you need. I wish we had an extra day so we could really enjoy all East Trenean Farm has to offer.

The hot tubs are fantastic and they play area for the kids was great. The houses had everything we needed and more. They were clean and comfortable and really well decorated. We all fitted in the Corn Barn for meals and with no problem fitting around the most amazing table.

Graham and Jane are excellent. They were so lovely to communicate with on the run up to our trip, and it was so nice to chat to them while we were there. They let us feed the chickens and showed us their beautiful gardens. They also recommended a private chef come in to cook for us which was great.

I will definitely be back!

I have stayed here twice now. Once with friends at Christmas and most recently as a surprise trip for my colleagues retirement do. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone!! It is stunning!!
Hosts are welcoming and couldn't do more for you.
Lovely location, a great local pub nearby (The Copley arms) and a 10 minute drive to Looe.

Lovely place, really homely & cosy with good quality fittings, lots of space to have time together and chill on your own in a nook. Would highly recommend. Very private hot tub, can enjoy the amazing stars at night. Great location. Easy to get to most places with good A and B roads. Adrenaline quarry is great fun! lovely walks at Seaton, pretty shops at Fowey. Fish and chips 5 mins down the road.

We stayed at the Threshing Barn cottage in East Trenean Farm for a week and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family holiday/ stay in Cornwall. The cottage itself is situated in an ideal location for covering most places in Cornwal with a max driving distance of 1.5 hrs to either the west or north Cornwall coast. In particular we enjoyed the private hot tub which was very relaxing to use after a long day visiting places. Also adjacent to the cottage there is a large playing area which is perfect to keep the little ones occupied. I would definitely go back and stay here again in the future. Lovely barn style cottage, very clean and well appointed. Good location for those that want to explore. Great beaches well within reach.

Couple of thoughts - check in and departure times could be a bit more generous. Not enough toilet roll or dishwasher tablets provided for a family of five without supplementation, which is always a bugbear. Covid protocols for departure feel outmoded now and are too severe - reduces the sense of customer service - I don’t think it’s right to ask for all beds to be stripped and towels essentially washed.

Had a good week. A few tweaks to the offer would provide a more customer focussed experience for the price.

We keep our arrival and departure times under review but at present we are maintaining industry best practice changeover cleans to protect our guests and staff and these do take a little longer and we do appreciate our guest support with this. As a self catering cottage we provide a welcome pack of local goodies and a starter pack of items for our guests and this is clear on our website and is provided in guest information after booking.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at East Trenean Farm. The Threshing Barn was all that we could have asked for and more. It made our stay so much more relaxing having the cottage all set to stay with young children aged 2 and 10 months there was everything we could have needed from stair gates to plates and cups and the play area was great with loads of space to run around. Graham and Jane were excellent, we arrived very late and they still came out to greet us.
We will definitely be back soon

It was a real pleasure to stay at the Threshing Barn. Beautiful, peaceful situation. Everything was just right and a very good standard. Quality fittings, a wonderful American fridge freezer and great sofas! Graham and Jayne were very pleasant and helpful. The hot tub was clean and lovely! We all slept well on really comfortable beds and the bathrooms were sparkling! It really couldn’t have been better. Well I guess the WiFi could have been better as we didn’t manage to stream a film. It could do with a more robust wireless access point in the Threshing Barn.
However, we loved it and we’re planning to book to come again. Electric charger for the car was a bonus! We would absolutely recommend this lovely place to stay!

Our third year at East Trenean Farm. The Threshing barn is fitted out to a very high quality. The Barn provides masses of space for 6 adults & you have the bonus of your own secluded private garden area for hot tub & bar b q. Views & location are perfect. You won't find better beaches than Whitsand bay and the picturesque village of Cawsand is a must.

I'm not easily impressed but this is our go to location when we visit Cornwall.

The whole place is just as they portray,no hiding things. A car is a must as it is a good way to the nearest shops and resturants/pubs.The hosts are great and the facilities are great too!!!!

Pleased to hear that all was as you expected and that you enjoyed the facilities. We are a rural location just 3 miles into Looe and 1.7 miles to the pub but the Cornish lanes are narrow, fast and not safe for walkers. There is a bus service (rural!) that passes and trains to Looe but a car is essential for touring.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Threshing Barn, the property is beautiful and the surrounding grounds are lovely. Having a private hot tub on your door step is really something quite special as well that honestly has to be experienced! Huge thank you to Jane and Graham for our stay. The location is perfect for short drives into Looe, and exploring some of the surrounding beaches. This area of Cornwall is outstanding, and this location is perfect.

We just had a wonderful stay at Threshing Barn. What a lovely property, beautifully clean, light and airy! Our children loved the fantastic play equipment and their accommodation. It was incredibly comfortable and it is clear the owners have put great thought into making the stay easy and hassle free; we never found ourselves wishing they had got something in the property.

We came as part of an extended family group and the 3 properties we used are perfectly designed around a central courtyard but each separate and distinct which allowed us the opportunity to spend lots of time together as a big group but also to split into our family units and follow some of our own routines as suited us.

The farm felt to us to be ideally located with a great balance of rural views and proximity to Looe and afforded the chance to explore Cornwall more widely too. Overall cannot say enough lovely things about our week at Threshing Barn!

Jane and Graham were fantastic hosts, and Threshing Barn was a holiday home away from home. It was clean, spacious, exceptionally well appointed and an absolute gem!

The location was also fantastic for Looe, Downderry, The Eden Project and Carnglaze Caverns. We would also recommend a drive to Gollitha Falls for a walk and then lunch at Inkie’s smokehouse cafe, the food was outstanding!

We would thoroughly recommend East Trenean Farm and we will be back!

We stayed in The Threshing Barn for 4 nights over new year and it’s a really stunning property, like home away from home has everything you need and finished to a very high standard.The hot tub in the garden is absolutely fantastic and we all enjoyed being able to use that. Everything we needed for our two young sons was provided by Jane and Graham free of charge which was great, along with a hamper on arrival full of lovely treats. Can’t recommend highly enough and we will definitely be back.

My 5 friends and I had originally booked the Threshing Barn for May 2020, but then Covid19 struck. Graham and Jane were brilliant. We tried to rearrange our booking to fit in with the rules, and they were very patient and helpful with me (as the group representative) and were finally able to set a date.
Well, we were all blown away by the cottage, it is absolutely beautiful, spacious and well equipped. Perfect for the six of us, we felt completely at home, we're able to relax and enjoy our weekend break.
The location is perfect, quiet and situated within easy access to beaches, pubs a lovely farm shop and Looe and Polperro (we didn't want to go further afield, but could have if we'd chosen to).
The cottage had its own hot tub, in a private garden, luxury, all six of us could easily relax in it. The garden offered plenty of opportunity (if we'd chose) for a BBQ, eat outside or sunbathe.
The courtyard garden is peaceful and calming.
There is plenty of parking for all the cottages and a playpark available for families just beyond and secure.
The beds were comfy, bedding scrupulously fresh and clean.
The bathrooms and extra loo, were clean with lovely fresh smelling fluffy towels (we took our own for the hottub) hot water aplenty.
Overall I can easily say that we all had a relaxing enjoyable weekend stay.

We cannot fault our stay, the cottage has everything that you need, a lot of thought has gone into furnishing it. It was spotlessly clean and the hosts were very welcoming. The hot tub was perfect and was a nice way to relax.

We had a fabulous stay in the Threshing Barn at East Trenean Farm. So comfortable, extremely clean and very well equipped. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us, which is not always the case with holiday rentals. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. We loved the hot tub and the BBQ. Lots of great beaches and lovely towns to explore and lots to do. We particularly enjoyed the Adrenalin Quarry, the Eden Project and highly recommend the Three Pilchards Inn in Polperro. We had great weather but can easily picture it being a lovely, cosy place to stay in the winter. We certainly hope to return and highly recommend it. Thank you Jane and Graham!

We stayed in the cottage and would definitely give it a 5 star rating. Jane and Graham are great hosts , and are always quick to respond to every communication. The cottage facilities are fantastic and the welcome basket was greatly appreciated. It is in a great location near looe and many other great attractions . The private hot tub was a great bonus and the Wii and other games kept the young and old happy for hours . I would definitely recommend East Trenean Farm for a fantastic holiday.
