Great location and lovely house but not suitable for a family group with children 1-12yrs.

We had a problem with the heating as soon as we arrived. It was very warm 26C and the heating stayed on all night. The agency promptly sent someone round to fix it but this was not successful. We reported it again but it wasn't fixed. A waste of money and energy even though we turned off quite a few radiators and opened windows - it was still too hot especially at night.
The house was beautifully furnished but we found it impractical - bare floorboards aren't great on the feet, metal bedsteads squeak and the mattresses were uncomfortable(except the singles which were divans). The kitchen was too small for 8 people and the bench seat was dangerously close to the oven should you want to open it when people are seated. It was well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery. The bathroom and shower room were excellent. The living room was comfortable and had a lovely view of Latrigg/Skiddaw but the lighting was too dim for reading and the rug was covered in dog hairs(not pleasant when you have a 1yr old crawling around..)
We were disappointed that there were no activities/games/playing cards/books to use in the house even though it was described as a family house. The older boys would have enjoyed these. Also cot and highchair should be available free of charge. I wouldn't recommend this property to a family group with children.
It would be suitable for a group of adults. The location was central enabling us to access the shops, restaurants and park easily. We also enjoyed using the buses so no need to use the car if you didn't want to.

Well presented property in good location.

Kitchen and lounge areas were fine for 6 people but would probably be a bit small if 8 people were in the property

This was a family holiday. Six of us stayed. The property was perfectly located with lots of bars, shops etc all within walking distance. The house was very roomy, clean, comfortable and warm. Would I book again? Yes, without hesitation.

Great property in good location in town. Bedrooms over 3 floors gave greater privacy, and the lounge was a good size for all. No complaints

3 The Townhouses is in a brilliant location in Keswick just 5 mins walk to the Main Street.

The house was exceptionally clean and spacious so plenty of room for the 8 of us who stayed.

The property comes with 2 parking permits for the long stay car park which was just 5 mins from the house.

The only issue we had was not being able to work out how to use the grill but we ate out mostly so it wasn’t an issue. We would recommend the frying pans be replaced with better non stick versions - but that’s such a minor point.

Would highly recommend staying here - it’s a gem and a great location from which to enjoy Keswick and explore the north lakes!

We were super happy with our choice to book with Keswick Cottages and 3 The Townhouses. The property was lovely and we loved sitting around the dining table in the kitchen. Everything was spotless and I am a little obsessed with the pillows as they were soooo comfy! Everything was modern and decorated nicely and there was more than enough room for the 6 of us and a 4-month-old puppy (we were initially supposed to have 8 but 2 cancelled last min).

The location was great, a stone's throw away was the centre and all of the main pubs. The park just up the road was lovely and we enjoyed walking the dog there. We'll definitely be playing some tennis next year! The car park was less than a 2 min walk and really easy to find.

All in all, it was a great stay and we've said that we'd love to make it an annual thing, so you'll probably see us again next year!

One small piece of feedback - there were only 3 toilet rolls for 6 people over 4 days and we ran out. Also, there were no cleaning supplies (the anti-bac spray under the sink was empty).

Enjoyed our stay, very convenient for town centre. Would have been nice to have had a more comfortable chair and a small television in the downstairs bedroom, but overall very good.

Location is excellent. Cosy house close to everything in Keswick and an excellent base to tackle the many walks you can do. Kitchen is well equipped and the free permits for the parking over on the long stay car park are very welcomed.

A pleasant stay in the well-located house, in the beautiful town of Keswick. The rooms were spacious and clean with everything you might expect including fully equipped kitchen, wifi. Extremely decent location, a short walk to shops and pubs and close the car park (permits were provided).

This is a great property in a brilliant location. We had everything we needed, it is a spacious house. It does need a little work, the blind in the main bedroom was missing which allowed the early sunshine to light the bedroom in the morning and the diverter switch on the bath/shower mixer was broken but you could manage to operate.

Great location with views of Skiddaw and Latrigg from the sitting room and twin room, and hill views from the rear bedrooms. 2 minutes walk from the town centre. Decent size cottage with plenty of room for the 7 of us (and two dogs).
Nicely decorated throughout with a well kitted out kitchen and handy downstairs shower room.
No parking at the property, but free parking is provided for two cars on the longstay carpark a short walk away.
The only slight quibble was the upstairs bathroom, which had a broken plug in the sink, the knob on the tap to convert from tap to shower wasn't attached, and a few loose floor tiles, but this didn't spoil our stay and we would stay at the house again.

We booked for 2 nights for a surprise 60th and it was perfect. The property was clean throughout and a great location for the town centre. In our party there were 6 adults, 2 children, 2 dogs and there was ample room for us all. I would highly recommend Townhouses as a great location and the owners do a great job.
