We have stayed with Keswick Cottages many times but this was our first time in Wordsworth House. Great property for families with two en-suite bedrooms as well as family bathroom and downstairs WC. The house is very well equipped with everything we needed and spotlessly clean! The lounge is comfortable with a real log burner which made for cosy evenings. There is off street parking for one car but there was plenty of on street parking next to the house. The location is perfect as it is quite but only a short walk into the town centre. All in all a fabulous house, we are already planning our ...more
Spacious 2nd floor flat with everything required for a break in Keswick. Great shower, comfy bed. 2nd bedroom more suited to children as bunk beds and quite small. Dog friendly
We loved our visit to No.5, having stayed in several different cottages and B&Bs in Keswick over the years, of varying standards. It's a brilliant location, especially as we were there for the Film Festival, and the house is spotlessly clean, furnished to a high standard and very comfortable. The addition of two car park permits was really appreciated. Communication with the owners was excellent throughout - friendly, welcoming and efficient. Two small caveats: I wish there'd been a hairdryer provided, and we'd've preferred a few more basics like cling film/foil and maybe oil, herbs etc in...more
We loved our stay in Alban Rise. The very spacious and comfortable flat was perfect for the five of us. We all loved the range of books, DVDs, games and toys thoughtfully provided, in particular the table tennis set which was well used set on the dining table. My grandson also loved being able to connect his games console to the Smart TV. The flat was very warm and cosy and we all slept very well in the very comfortable beds. The flat’s location was perfect, right opposite Booths and ideal for shopping or visiting nearby pubs, cafes and restaurants, the climbing wall and the excellent Puzzling...more
Greta View is a lovely home from home, very nicely done and in a superb location with off road parking. The house was a joy to stay in, everything was perfect.
The property was great for myself and three additional family couples. It was deceptively bigger than we thought it would be and therefore used both the kitchen and lounge more so on our visit, spending time with each other. The communication from the team in terms of leading up to the holiday, during it and after was exceptional. Always available by either phone or email. I would absolutely recommend to anyone and I also look forward to our return at either this property or others that they manage.
The owners of Crossthwaite Gardens have clearly put the comfort of their guests at the forefront of the whole experience. Time and consideration have ben invested in this property – you feel welcome and valued. The property is very well equipped and good use of space has been made in all rooms. Location excellent. Happy afterglow a real bonus.
This is a great house for everything Keswick has to offer Right in the middle of town life but also very quiet All the walks are close by and the addition of the utility room is perfect for muddy boots and paws Garage parking is amazing especially if it’s raining when you arrive This place is now no 1 on my list
As a frequent visitor to Braithwaite this has to be one of the best properties we've stayed in. Very comfy & warm with all amenites & excellent parking. We will stay again I'm sure.
As usual, the property was clean and tidy and warm. No faults were found apart from the fact that the week went too quickly. I am sure, however, that we will be back Margaret and Maurice Churchill
We had a wonderful time at Skiddaw Skies, the photos almost don't do the house justice. Our 1 year old had lots of fun playing in the bath and with the toys that were kindly provided, and having a high chair and cot provided was ideal. The kitchen and living room were so comfy and well kitted out and the double bed was enormous! Such a convenient for walking into town too, we had a great holiday, thank you!
A very pleasant stay at a lovely flat. Convenient location, clean tidy and warm. We would certainly book again.
Another lovely few days at Cherry Garth. Gorgeous property. Can't wait to go back later in the year.
Excellent views of Latrigg and Skiddaw from the kitchen Superior accommodation with everything we needed apart from a dishwasher and a few coat hooks.
We stayed in Fairbank on a Monday to Friday in March. The cottage is excellently located, particularly if you are bringing dogs as it overlooks Fitz park and can be accessed without a lead if you trust your dog, or like to walk into the centre of Keswick regularly. It ticks our boxes on all levels. On a wet week with full occupancy and a dog it might be a bit tight round the dinner table, but there was just the 2 of us and 2 pooches so all good. Parking in the car park behind the launderette was easy and loading and unloading into the property was fine . We will look forward to staying aga...more
We had a great stay at 'Coledale'. The property is comfortable, clean and a good size for 2 of us (although would fit 4 reasonably). It is well equipped - we ate in most evenings, so made use of kitchen equipment/dishes/pans etc, which were enough for our requirements. We've stayed at Elliott Park properties previously, and they are in a good location - quiet, but convenient for walking to the supermarket (Booths or Co-Op) or into Keswick town centre. 'Coledale' didn't disappoint and we hope to return.
second time here and it didnt disappoint will hopefully be back next year.A lovely cosy apartment in a stunning location.
A great short break. We have been using the flat for twenty years and it feels like home. Great exercise as well with all those steps!
Loved our stay at the cottage. Very comfortable and nice furnishings. Will definitely be back again.
Have stayed here annually for almost ten years. Improvements made this year enhanced our stay further. Thank you
Our stay was once again perfect. Ideal location for shops and pubs in Keswick. Apartment is always clean and well equipped.
I don't really want to write a good review for this place as I would prefer to keep it a secret so I can book it any time I wish! We had a fantastic few days in this property. It is a terrific place right in the heart of Keswick. It is a very comfortable and beautifully furnished wee bolthole which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
We've stayed at Appletree for three holidays (for a total of five weeks) and we've booked to stay again in September for a further fortnight, so I think it's fair to say that we really rate the place! It's spacious, very comfortable, well fitted out, and lovely and warm...we had snow during our visit! It's very conveniantly placed just a couple of miles from the centre of Keswick, and even without a car you could find plenty of places to visit on foot. We just got back a couple of days ago from a week at Appletree. the "4" score for Condition was because it's probaly due for a little tid...more
This is our 11th year with Keswick Cottages and as always the property was fabulous. The only points to mention are the fire in the living room needs replacing - poor performance and the downstairs en-suite shower is not very powerful. Thank you for your excellent service and we look forward to returning next year.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but found that the cottage was a bit further from the center of Keswick than expected.
Spacious, clean and comfortable with beautiful artwork and superior quality furnishings, appliances and accessories. Being decorated for Christmas was a wonderful bonus!
Our only complaint was that we didn’t have a long enough stay Beautifully decorated, comfortable with all amenities. As it was snowing during our short stay in early March, the heated floor was a massive bonus A very central location with private parking. Smart TV , good Wifi and comfortable seating Oh, did I mention the heated floor ?
We had a great week in this lovely warm , deceptively spacious well equipped and immaculately clean cottage . It is situated in Braithwaite, has parking for 2 cars and the 2 pubs in the village which offer food are less than 5 mins walk away . The courtyard garden was safe for our dogs . The staff at Keswick Cottages were really friendly and helpful to us from the moment we booked .We also met the owners Ian and Sue who were very friendly and informative .
Glenderamackin Cottage is spacious and comfortable, and equipped with everything you might need for your stay in the Lakes. The log burners were a lovely focal point in the evening, although the property is cosy and warm without them. Would definitely consider staying here again.
Lovely cottage, we have been here 9 times in the last 11 years. Great location, compact but cosy, and very clean. Excellent location and very dog friendly!
After Christmas we booked another stay at Rock Lynn. A wonderful property in a great little village just outside of Keswick. The ideal property as a base for walks or just a week's peace and quiet. Some great walks and strolls from the front door, and we took advantage of its perfect location....and the property was spotlessly clean. All in all, another great week.
We had a fabulous break at Fellseeker, a lovely apartment in the heart of Keswick. From a location perspective you couldn’t ask for anything more. Hope Park and Derwentwater are a stones throw away and equally close is the town centre and the many shops, pubs and restaurants. The apartment is fitted and maintained to a very high standard and was well presented, well equipped and clean. The service from Keswick Cottages is excellent, communication is friendly and timely and you feel well informed throughout. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Very comfortable well equipped apartment in an excellent location for a self catering walking holiday.
As a regular visitor to Daisy Cottage it doesn’t disappoint. It’s comfortable and compact. The outhouse is a great bonus particularly when coming in wet. The bedrooms are a good size. Big plus is the parking spot provided. A littoral difficult to navigate but once mastered great to be able to park at the door. Its location is excellent for all amenities. This stay it only moved once otherwise with access to the lake and boats we could get to wherever we wanted easily.
Jasmine cottage benefits from a great location in the lovely Portinscale village; an easy & delightful walk to Keswick, around Derwent water & surrounding mountains. The cottage itself is delightful, clean, well equipped and comfortable, a great stay with many more to come.
We really enjoyed our stay at Lake view, very comfortable, modern, spacious and spotlessly clean. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed. The location was great for us, we like peaceful and it was great to wake up with the amazing view of the snowy capped mountains. Thank you Keswick cottages!
Nothing more to say would have liked to have seen the vacuum emptied before we arrived and salt put into the dishwasher
Always enjoy our stay at Bridge mews, perfect location in centre of Keswick , yet tucked away in quiet cul de sac, the cottage has everything you need and a super comfy bed also has a dedicated parking space.
We had a great week in Elm Cottage. Excellent location close to shops and Town centre. A very comfortable cottage with everything needed and just round the corner from Bridge House where other family members were staying for the first weekend. We have stayed here before and would do so again, we highly recommend. Keswick cottages are our first port of call when booking in the Keswick area. They are an excellent company.
2nd stay in this lovely house. The location on the very edge of town is perfect for a diverse group , everyone can go out of the front door and do whatever they want then meet up later for a meal at the massive dining table. Great to get a parking permit as we hardly used the car.
Lovely and quiet; good amenities , especially Penrith supermarket only 15 minutes away..Loved the large Tv in the main lounge to watch the sports on. Only downside was the lack of a washing machine , especyou are clambering up hills. ( had to wash my husbands outdoor gear in the bath , then squeeze the surplus water and let it dry over the bath). Thankfully, I took loads of T shirts and under wear. The parking was nice and straight forward. My husband commented how comfortable the beds were. We all enjoyed the stay and it was so good to visit Ullswater nearby. Needs a little TLC, otherwise l...more
Lovely lodge, well decorated, clean and bright. Very spacious plenty of room even with 4 people and a dog. The driveway was a bit of nightmare though - car really struggled getting in and out - had to let people out the passenger side before parking up it was so tight and the paintwork got scratched trying to get back out the first time. Local pub was also billed as lovely and friendly but they were anything but.
Lovely place which we’ve stayed in over the years at various times of the year. Clean, comfortable and ample parking which is a premium in Keswick, cars only moved to go further afield as everything needed on our doorstep. Gorgeous new bathrooms and the main stair well has just been repainted too. Thank you for a very relaxing and homely place to stay
Lovely house, clean, spacious and had everything that is needed to have a stay here. Little welcome cleaning pack which was very useful. Handy for all of Keswick.
If says there is parking, there isn't anything specifically allocated to you so nothing to prevent it discourage others from using it. The narrow alley is a nightmare to drive down. There is bar across from you which plays loud music into the night. We managed to block out most of it with a white noise machine but you could still hear the bass over it. There are slat blinds in the bedroom which don't block all the light so will wake you, and I imagine would be particularly bad in the summer. Sofa is uncomfortable and like something you'd find in a waiting room, making relaxing downstairs...more
Our recent stay at Skiddaw View was very comfortable, great location, and excellent having the park so close to walk our dog. Well equipped and everything on hand. The views were amazing looking out of the windows.
I could not fault the property and the location is perfect for walking and getting into town. I would happily recommend.
This cottage is lovely and in a great location. It's clean and comfortable. The only thing I would mention to dog owners is that the bottom of the garden was not secure.
Sam's cottage is a great location. You can just leave your car parked and not move it all week. The alley way is a bit tight to get down though. Very comfortable and has everything you need.
Great location. Comfy apartment. Beautiful views. Shops and walks on door step. Keswick cottages always efficient and there if help required.
Lovely warm cosy cottage in a fab location Very welcoming from moment of walking in. Clean and very comfortable sofas and bed. Only problem I had was getting the bath water hot. And I would recommend a dressing table light for doing hair and make-up. Otherwise than that I would highly recommend and Keswick cottages were spot on
Barf Cottage was cosy and welcoming, rooms were a good size and left us plenty of space so we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. Main bathroom was lovely and the bath was well appreciated. Only major downsides were parking as it was quite tight for the main space and the space at the pub was always full with people visiting the pub which made staying with two cars very difficult. Also the broadband was painfully slow to non-existent at times, which coupled with lack of phone signal while in the house, made for communication being difficult.
This was a good base for 1 or 2 people for a short stay. It was on the cosy side but everything was in good order.
Great location for the town, everything on your doorstep. Car parking was easy, just across the road, although on the Saturday we arrived it is really busy and could be potentially hard to find a space. Unloading of heavy items could be problematic if some people have lack of movement etc . Like the set up of bedrooms, really clean and decorated to a good standard. Dining area had plenty of space, but getting the full 10 people in may be a challenge. Lots of cutlery and crockery, perfect if you don't want to be washing up all the time Heating proved difficult to put on, not sure if...more
Lovely warm and cosy cottage, short walk into centre of Keswick, well equipped kitchen, lounge cosy with lots of games books and dvds. Bedrooms were clean and comfy, twin room has tv on the wall lots of hangers in wardrobe would definitely book again
Cottage near town centre so easy access to restaurants, shops and all the facilities. An easy walk to the lake and to parks. Dogs welcome and many gentle walks close by. The property was spotlessly clean, very warm and welcoming.
We have stayed in Braithwaite a number of times but Rose Bank is probably the best location, being out of the centre but only a few minutes walk to the shop or Pubs. There are great views of the surrounding fells from virtually anywhere in the property. Plenty of walks direct from the door, whether that be the fells, local footpaths, or the country lanes, a pleasant walk to Keswick only takes about and hour if you don't want to use the car. There is a utility area just of the kitchen that can store a bike, a bit tight for a mountain bike but doable and very secure.
We really enjoyed our time at Tawny Cottage. The kitchen was great with every plate/bowl/glass/utensil you could ever want! Beautiful open fire, good wifi and good location for walking into Keswick (20 min flat walk). Great pub a few doors away that did good pub grub with quick service. Only slight downside was the parking spaces are pretty tight to get in and out of but we mostly walked from the door so didn’t use the car much.
Location is excellent. Cosy house close to everything in Keswick and an excellent base to tackle the many walks you can do. Kitchen is well equipped and the free permits for the parking over on the long stay car park are very welcomed.
Everything you need is provided at the property and the location is perfect for walking into Keswick and surrounding areas there are lots of lovely walks. The property is kept very clean and just ideal for a relaxing holiday in a lovely location and the Royal Oak is a lovely, friendly pub with excellent food. We would certainly book this cottage or any others through Keswick Cottages.
Generally the property was a lovely find and we would be happy to go there again. However it possibly hadn't been used for a while and was very cold to begin with and took sometime to warm up. Unfortunately the cleaner had forgotten to leave a cleaning pack and the tablet to tell us what was what was completely flat but both quickly rectified. It was an induction hob but there were saucepans there that were incompatible with it which was disconcerting. NB A significant number of stairs which maybe an issue for some and some very heavy cupboard doors that lift upwards and don't lock in place n...more
