Our group had a great experience staying at 45 Eskin Street. The house is spacious yet feels cosy and homely. The bedrooms were lovely and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking equipment we needed. The house is in a fantastic location. We really enjoyed our stay here and would thoroughly recommend!!
Last minute booking wasn’t disappointed, cottage was lovely , everything about it, great location very comfortable and clean had everything you needed if you wanted to cook everything was there, the little starter pack of tea coffee cookies was a lovely touch . Have stayed in Portinscale many times and will definitely return to Fell View.
Absolutely beautiful location, so tastefully decorated & well stocked kitchen. Ideal spot for visiting the Lakes.
A lovely friendly property in an ideal location. I would definitely stay there again. The property is a good standard and has everything you need for a great holiday.
We stayed at the Eryrie for a week for my daughters 30th birthday, wow what a place, the house is huge and amazing , views from every window , lovely base in a perfect location, stones through away from the shops and restaurants, gorgeous park just opposite, most of our group went off climbing different mountains every day , while the others still had plenty too do , bus station only a 5 minute walk , so easy to take a bus all over , the Lake District is a very beautiful place to be , would highly recommended the Eyrie , we will be back
The only problem we found was that the storm protection at the gate caught on the underside of the car (Toyota Carolla), I realise that allot of people have Big cars with high suspensions so that will not be a problem to them. However, I found a solution to the problem by placing some 2x1 inch strips of wood behind the lip of the gate entrance bar, (found wood in garage). enabling the car to go through the gate without any problems. As this could seriously damage the underside of the car it is not something I could ignore, but the solution (as described) is easily solved by making something p...more
5 of us had a lovely Monday to Friday booking at 7 The Townhouses. Everything was as stated and the bathrooms were beautifully clean and the beds very comfortable. We had to ask our neighbour for a corkscrew, they had 3! We did have a problem with the shower over the bath but this was promptly sorted out. During one night the heating randomly came on! No idea why! Otherwise all good. We would come again. It was lovely to be able to walk to all the facilities and not use the car.
House in a fabulous location, just a nice distance to walk into keswick centre. House is modern and very comfortable, good facilities with an amazing large garden, peaceful with the best view. Definitely would return.
Maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. Close to the centre of Keswick yet in a quiet location. Our fourth stay here and we hope to return next year.
We booked Blencathra at short notice after being told that the cottage we had booked to stay in (with a different company) had been sold. The bungalow suited us very well, being comfortably furnished and well equipped, and with its own off-street parking place. We particularly liked the conservatory and the garden, providing outdoor space to relax after our long walks, and we enjoyed watching the rabbits! The location is good, a very quiet residential area, with the shops, restaurant and buses of Keswick within walking distance. We will definitely book again for next year.
Lovely clean and comfortable apartment in a very central location. The parking space was a bonus. Ideal for our few days away.
Spent three nights at Grisedale Pike. Very comfortable, well equipped apartment. Lovely bathroom with walk in shower. Spacious and light filled bedroom. Central Keswick so close to everything - shops, pubs, restaurants.
We had a lovely week staying at Park View Apartment. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, smart tv in each room, and very comfortable. Couldn’t get a better location.
Having been to Lydia's Cottage before we knew what to expect - a really comfortable holiday home, with high quality kitchen and bathroom fittings and a wonderful setting. The nearby Spar store and garage, plus the proximity to the town make it an ideal location for us.
Couldn't be better, we had apartment 1 and the Bridge house for a large group no issues, plenty of hot water to!
Fabulous holiday property Great base Very comfortable Well equipped Could not be faulted
We had a lovely family holiday and weather was fantastic, so much so we’ve booked again, only one fault with the property is that there is not enough saucepans or baking trays for the size of property, could do with a few new ones!
Very helpful and friendly staff in the office Cottage very cosy and well equipped loved the fresh roses in the vase on the table.Cottage tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street certainly would recommend
Lovely views and well equipped kitchen. Dining area poor single beds suitable only for children no lounging furniture or chairs in any rooms
Skiddaw Skies lovely as always . Ideally situated in centre of Keswick . Views amazing .Decking and seating are in sun all week .Beds and pillows so comfy and soaking in the large bathtub just what is needed after long walks .. The kitchen has everything you need . Only thing missing was a hairdryer but,we soon bought one from town .
Great stay for a family of 8, the only gripe was the main sofa was difficult for the older members of our party to get in and out of. All the other facilities were top class.
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Lords Seat in mixed weather. The apartment is well furnished and has lovely views over the hills from the rear. Unlike many of the apartments in the building, there is no private outdoor space, but we were able to sit in the shared gardens. We had our own chairs, but it would be useful to have some permanent seating in those gardens. Bathrooms and kitchen are high spec and lovely large fluffy towels provided. The bus stop outside the premises is very handy and it is an ideal spot for walking some of the lower Wainwright's.
Another lovely vacation in Lake View Cottage in Thornthwaite One important issue The right hand stair rail as you leave the cottage is rotting and the whole structure is loose and potentially dangerous
The property is of a real high standard and the Portinscale location is a perfect being quiet but Keswick is walkable. The property does not leave you wanting as it provides everything one would need for a holiday. Highly recommended.
Apartment is in a quiet setting, only minutes walk from town, supermarket just over the hedge! Great!
Stunning cottage, with stunning 360 views. Location is remote enough to feel at one with nature, but only a 20 minute walk to the beautiful town of Keswick. We hardly used the car all week, choosing to walk everywhere and take in the scenery. Highly recommend booking the hot tub as an optional extra, nothing better than a relaxing soak after walking all day. A truly exceptional modern cottage with everything you could possibly need. Had a couple of very slight issues, however these were immediately resolved. Highly recommend this wonderful place in its stunning location.
This is one of a few cottages that actually looks like the photos. Very tastefully furnished. Nice space to sit in the kitchen extension. Good location for walking into town and the bus station. Could be noisy at times
Very well appointed and comfortable apartment but bedrooms proved very noisy at night owing to passing traffic.
Really enjoyed our stay - clean and well kitted out. Enclosed garden great for the dog. Lovely house - would recommend.
This lodge is set in a quiet but beautiful setting just outside Keswick. It has ample parking and access to a reliable and frequent bus service - so important in the Lakes! The lodge is spacious, with lots of light, fabulous views towards Derwent Water and the Derwent Fells from the living area and outside terrace. The facilities are great with 2 bathrooms serving 3 double bedrooms. The kitchen/dining/living area is very comfortable and an enjoyable living and relaxing space. The WiFi strength was strong and allowed everyone to keep up easily with their other non-holiday lives! I wou...more
Would have given 5 for cleanliness but bath and shower mats had black mould underneath which was unhygienic for use in bath, otherwise very clean throughout.
Such a lovely house, really clean, and the bottle of Prosecco was a lovely touch. Customer services was exceptional, thank you so much
Our 2nd stay in this homely house, conveniently situated in the centre of Keswick along with a large garage, so no parking fees. The house is comfortable and has everything you need for a self catering stay in the Lakes. Its easy & quick to take dogs to Fitz Park round the corner as there Is no garden. We had a house keeping problem which was resolved by Keswick Cottages immediately with no quibble. Can highly recommend a holiday at this house. We will return.
We had a fabulous week at Causey View - it helped that the weather was splendid. The cottage is very comfortable and has all appliances you could want or need. It is stylishly decorated and had plenty of space for 4 people. It is a fabulous location, right in the heart of the village with its own off-street parking and less than 2 mins to the village shop and 3 -5 mins to the two pubs! We ate in the Ivy House restaurant one night which was very good, and the Cottage in the Woods another - it is michelin starred and exceptional. There are several walks that you can do from the village, and the...more
We have stayed at the Bridge Complex a few times in the past and,as usual, is very clean and comfortable, and has a lovely garden area for outdoor activities. The only complaint to make is the towel supply, how are you able to last a week’s stay on one medium and one hand towel?, luckily we ordered and paid for an extra towel pack.
Stayed at Bridge a few times as it’s a very comfortable house with home from home facilities for cooking. Pleasant outdoor sitting area if you’re lucky enough to have good weather too. Would highly recommend. .
Cottage was pretty clean and reasonably well equipped but lacked a little in the comfort stakes. The sofa was small and the cottage needs more comfortable seating.
All good … would re-book if we are in the area. However, if I was being picky … I would suggest an upgrade to a smart tv in the lounge. Guests could then access IPlayer etc. More hooks for coats / towels. Drive quite steep - dip at top may be an issue for low wheelbase cars.
Rock Lynn is a lovely house in a quiet location with wonderful views and lots of walks locally. A short walk up the hill at the rear of the house is worth it for the view.
This was our second stay a Greta Bank. The flat was clean and had everything you need for a great stay. We traveled with my elderly mum this time and the flat is perfectly positioned for all that Keswick has to offer. The weather was good so it was an added bonus of being able to open the French doors and enjoy the small garden. The only tiny let down were the sofas. They are getting a little uncomfortable, so we were pleased when we found the bolster cushions that had been left.
Lovely cottage in immaculate condition, fantastic location ,well equipped and very comfortable, the garden suntrap was a bonus
A lovely quirky cottage in a fantastic location with the bonus of a car parking space. The cottage provided everything we required + needed. We had our Westie with us + he loved outside space but please note it is shared with the neighbour which we didn’t realise. We will definitely return.
Very pleased with Tawny Cottage. Very comfortable, excellent quality. Location less than 30 minutes walk into Keswick
The property is well positioned and well equipped, we had a great stay, good to have parking included, the space is a little tight but once in was fine. Overall its a lovely place.
This cottage is clean and comfortable and in a great location. It's perfect for the dog as there is a fully enclosed garden which my dog couldn't get out of. I find this very rare even when the description says enclosed garden it often isn't dog proof. This is our 2nd stay and we've already booked a 3rd.
A very homely place, well organized, clean and well kept. The host was also friendly! A definite recommendation.
Had a good week at Keswick once again a different cottage, Acorn cottage was in an ideal area within 5 mins from Keswick centre and parking was fine. The two single beds on the second floor were ideal for children because of low ceilings, you need to take kitchen roll, toilet roll as only two rolls provided for the week we always take extra including dish washer tablets and washing up liquid. The cottage was clean and comfortable the back yard could do with a good hose down. We were out every day with our two small dogs and had some amazing food the Pheasant for the best fish Pie and the Pocke...more
Of all the holiday cottages we have stayed in Keswick this one has the best views, centrally located, own parking space, great sofa to relax after a long day walking. Will be booking again.
Amazing holiday house, spotless, comfortable and a brilliant location. No parking issues.7 friends on a hiking running long weekend and so much room for all.
Except for the rainy weather our stay in Keswick at Pinecroft was perfect! We used the barbecue, ate dinner around the lovely dining table and enjoyed the surroundings in comfort. The only recommendation is that the mattress in the main bedroom is replaced.
Really enjoyed our stay at Greta Howe. Property is in an excellent location and the private parking was a plus. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent all round - can't fault it. I'd certainly stay there again. t Two minutes to supermarket/buses and town centre..... yet exceptionally quiet location. The owners use the property so it's like a home not a holiday let. Loved it.
Thank you for a lovely stay at Tithe cottage. A lovely bonus was having complimentary access to the Spa at Underscar. The location was amazing - just a minutes walk into town, and right next door to a supermarket. Its hard to think of negatives, but outside there is a high up drainage pipe coming from the Supermarket which gushes rainwater out onto the floor when it rains, and is quite loud as when it rains it rains! And the pipe doesnt have direct ground drainage so hits the paving slabs. Also there was a broken gate at the back and side of the property, which banged in the wind. The small co...more
Great week in a very comfortable cottage. Great location for visiting Keswick and walking the fells. Lots of walks from the door and the cottage was a great base to return to. Quiet street, easy parking. Well equipped kitchen, cosy log burner and plenty of space for a family of 4. This was our second visit to this great find of a cottage.
Our second visit to Spa Cottage and it did not disappoint. Its a small, clean cottage that is ideally located to explore the Lake District. The cottage was clean and tidy upon our arrival and there was a small welcome pack which was much appreciated. Car parking was limited but we managed to get parked in front or close to our property every day. We would recommend this property and look forward to returning again some time in the future.
Ideally located for centre of Keswick with lovely views from windows. Rather noisy as on main road through centre of town. Four flights of stairs to flat a lot for the elderly to cope with as no lift.
First stay in Rose bank cottage loved it everything we needed plus the weather enjoying taking in the lovely garden and cottage all being well back next year Thank you to Keswick cottage
The property is a little quirky, with the kitchen, utility room and master king room downstairs and living room with great views plus another bedroom and main bathroom upstairs. Having a utility room is great and we hired a baby gate to replicate sleeping arrangements for our dog at home. There is also a really useful entrance hall from the front, which is ideal for removing boots before going into the property. The bed and furniture is comfortable in our opinion. The kitchen is very well equipped and everything worked well. As always with Keswick Cottages the property was very clean and well...more
Had a brilliant time at Barf cottage, brilliant location. Within walking distance to Keswick and Braithwaite for pubs and food. People were complaining about food in Farmers Rest whilst having a drink so didn’t bother eating there. Cottage had everything you could want for self catering break and more
A lovely stay at this property in Keswick. It is very close to everything in Keswick but just far enough away to be very quiet. 5 minutes from supermarket, 10 minutes into the town. Elm Cottage has everything you need for a comfortable holiday let and very clean and tidy on arrival. Keswick Cottages staff are always available should you need to contact them, would definitely recommend a stay in this cottage .
The cottage is in an excellent location, good condition, clean and bright. All good and our preferred accommodation in Keswick. Being only two of us with one car there was plenty of room. It is ideal for us but of course everyone has their own priorities. Price wise it is about the going rate. We have stayed in Keswick many times in the last 10-15 years.
Beautifully furnished and decorated with excellent views and comfy beds and sofas. But also a lot of style over substance. E.g. fridge too small, with tiny freezer compartment which still had someone else's food in it, no scissors in the kitchen etc, Nice summerhouse for wet lakeside days but with mould on carpets. Patio furniture not cleaned and dead plants in hanging baskets. And everything done / communicated via a generic on-line system with no property-specific information in the property. This was £1000 for the week and we were left a 20ml bottle of washing up liquid and three dishwashe...more
We really enjoyed our stay at Abacourt Cottage. The cottage is well equipped and perfect for our group of 4 adults, 1 child, 1 baby and a dog. Location is perfect, only seconds away from the shops, pubs and restaurants, with the park a 2 minute walk away. Keswick is lovely and a great base for exploring the Lake District. Keswick Cottages were great, very friendly and kept us informed at all times. They sent a maintenance guy round the same day when we had an issue. Highly recommended.
Our stay at Gretaside was super convenient. The flat has just everything a couple needs and is situated right next to a cosy river. Very romantic!
We have stayed at Byways many times now. It’s quiet but only a few minutes stroll into town. It was very clean as usual and improved by moving the double bed to a larger room. Kitchen is well equipped and has everything we need. A larger, more comfortable sofa would be beneficial after a long day walking. Customer service is efficient and friendly. We will return!
The cottage was comfortable and well equipped, good location in the town centre, but the instructions on how to find the cottage weren't very accurate. To say the lane to the cottage and ease of parking were tricky is an understatement, extremely difficult small space to park and blocked in by the neighbours. Area surrounding the property was scruffy. For personal reasons, we had to leave a couple of days early, email communication with Keswick Cottages was not responded to. Sent 3 emails to inform them.....still waiting for a reply!
Weekend spent with my family and young child for my 30th birthday weekend. I can’t recommend Keswick Cottages enough, from the minute I booked they were welcoming, gave clear instructions and couldn’t do enough for us. The process of checking in was brilliant with the parking available and the location of the house itself outstanding in the heart of Keswick walking distance to the High Street. The house itself was very clean and perfect for the weekend we wanted. All my family loved it and we will definitely be booking again in the future
We were very pleased with Birchgate. A lovely cottage, tastefully furnished. Bed was very comfortable, and there was everything we needed in the kitchen. Shower was pretty powerful. Nice quiet area easily within walking distance of Keswick but tucked away. We felt very at home there. Couple small points - it is a very tight turn into the row of cottages and even tighter to get on the drive so worth noting if you have a larger vehicle. Could do with some more instructions especially for bin day as we had no idea you had to take bins to end of the road so missed the collection as we wer...more
Stayed in a Crandy Nook for 5 nights for some winter walking. Great location, near all the shops, pubs etc. It is well appointed, with decent furniture. Kitchen has everything you need, and lots of china so everything can go into the dishwasher. Lovely view from the dining table makes you want to get your walking gear on, and get out there. Service from Keswick Cottages was efficient and helpful
Enjoyed our break at stickel tarn the apartment is in a great location with the benefit of an allocated parking bay.The beds are very comfortable and the living room is bright and airy and the views of the hills are great. The only downside to the apartment is iff you are old and not very good with stairs it wouldn’t be for you.The smart tv was good as Netflix and prime were available to use when chilling out after a hard days walking. We have over the years stayed in many cottages and apartments in Keswick and would rate this as one of the best.
We had a great stay at Fellseeker, the location was excellent right in the heart of Keswick. It was great to have a car park space and the instructions from Keswick Cottages before arrival were clear and detailed. One or two areas of the flat could do with a touch of paint and were a bit scruffy but the living room was great after a day out and the kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were really comfy and the showers were powerful and warm. I would recommend it to others.
Very spacious cottage. Well maintained. On the main street but not at all noisy. Very convenient for central Keswick facilities, 23 min walk. Would stay again for sure and Keswick cottage staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Parking nearby was easy.
Roslin is ideally situated with fantastic views. The house could be absolutely amazing if it was updated and given some much needed TLC. The view from the main bedroom could not be fully appreciated through the blown double glazed window and the old broken garden furniture was uncomfortable. The bath didn't have a plug but this was swiftly dealt with by Keswick Cottages who were very friendly, helpful and efficient.
Upon arrival at Sam’s Cottage, we were pleasantly surprised of its proximity to all local amenities. The cottage itself was wonderful and very well presented and a lovely welcome pack was waiting for us, which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely return.
Enjoyed our stay, (4 adults) plenty of space and very handy for the town. Downstairs bedroom is handy for those who can't manage the stairs but the bed is very creaky.
Overall we had a good week at Cragside Cottage, right beside a crag with sheep grazing. Lovely open-plan living area and large Smart TV which the grandchildren loved. Modern kitchen, but could have done with slightly smaller dinner plates which actually fitted in the dishwasher and pans which weren’t so heavy. We had been assured the patio area would be fenced off by the time we went, but there was nowhere to sit out at all. But it was in a good setting, very easy to park and handy for a number of beauty spots.
We have been walking to Borrowdale and around Manesty for years and often passed Brandlehow thinking who lives in a cottage like this …. Well we were fortunate enough to stay there last week … The views are spectacular and we were blessed with good weather. Keswick cottages were very helpful over a few requirements we needed for our stay at the cottage Thank you Wonderful memories made
We have stayed in Stanger cottage several times before and were disappointed to find it very poorly equipped with kitchen utensils than it was previously , making it much harder to cater than before ,the door locks had also been changed from our visit 18 months before and the back door was difficult to open ,when we arrived we rang Keswick cottages about it as we couldn't get in and were told just keep turning the key and it will open eventually, which would indicate that it was an on going problem, we again reported it after turning the key over 50 times and still being unable to get in ,an...more
