We have stayed in Keswick many times and we were delighted to be able to book this newly renovated cottage. It certainly has the Wow factor with its stylish design, also private good sized parking which is always a bonus. The cottage is very well equipped and has a pretty outside area which meant we could eat outside when the weather was good. It is also within a couple of minutes walk from the high street with its ample pubs, restaurants and shops so after a days walking in the fells you can just wander out for a meal. We will definitely be returning.
Our second stay at Sheepfold won't be out last. Beautifully presented, very well equipped, stunning views. The location was quiet and peaceful, perfect place to unwind. The hot tub was amazing after days walking in and around Keswick. Great service from Keswick cottages as always from the initial booking right through to our stay. Highly recommend sheepfold and Keswick cottages.
This is a breathtaking property. From the moment you step in to the three story house your expectations are surpassed. The space is perfect for 8 people to come together and also to have their own privacy . The beds are fantastic, and for everyone to have their own private bathroom was a real treat .The penthouse suite also has views from the bath tub as you take a soak . Every room has great views of the mountains . In the evening you are literally 2 minutes away from the town centre, its so convenient . We have been coming to the lakes for many years but this is by far the best property...more
This was our first time staying at Red Robin but would definitely stay again. It is within easy walking distance of all the facilities of Keswick and close to Fitz Park. It is well equipped and has plenty of space for six adults and two dogs. The outdoor area is spacious with a large pleasant decking area for sitting on which will be even more attractive when the planters are filled. The one improvement I could suggest is making more than one key available.
We really enjoyed our stay at Glen cottage.we went in and said wow!!! The garden was a special treat to enjoy. The views, the birds and so peaceful. We missed having a freezer compartment in the fridge. Was a bit difficult getting into the bath for a shower for us oldies. But overall a lovely cottage to recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Keswick Townhouse , the property itself was spacious and clean and the location was perfect . It is an excellent base for a stay in Keswick being within walking distance of everything you need. We had an issue at the property but the hosts were extremely attentive and resolved it instantly . Would definitely book with Keswick Cottages again, excellent service start to finish.
Everything you might need for a self-catering holiday with a family. Excellent facilities provided by the owners of the property and also administration by Keswick Cottages.
A well positioned cottage complete with modern appliances in a quiet location.Great parking and fantastic views of the mountains and fells.
Very good condition property with plenty of room for six guests. Nice outside sitting/relaxing area.
Lovely property in great location. I think the condition and furnishings of property would be difficult to beat
Ideal central location for a short stay in Keswick. Once parked up I didn’t need to move the car as there was plenty of walks from the town. Lovely 1 bed, modern fully kitted kitchen and up to date shower room. Lovely touch of a welcome pack of tea/coffee/milk & biscuits plus a pack with washing up essentials. Not suitable for anyone that can’t manage stairs as one set straight up from the front door and another up to the bedroom. Being so central you have to accept they will be some late night noise from people leaving pubs and early morning from delivery’s to local businesses. Not a prob...more
Blencathra is a nice bungalow situated on a quiet estate to the north east edge of Keswick. Close enough to venture into town and with good views out of the back and front of the many surrounding hills. Only gripe was that there was nowhere to hang your coat after coming in from a damp walk, we ended up using the back of the kitchen chairs. Other than that an excellent and comfortable property.
Not the first time at Lord's Seat and not the last. Stunning apartment in a lovely location, quiet but not far from Keswick. Beautifully furnished, comfortable and with every appliance you could possibly need.
We were wowed by the house (and the views from the second floor windows) when we arrived and were not disappointed throughout our stay. It had everything we needed and plenty of space for a big party. Sometimes one compares the reality with a website unfavourably but not on this occasion, almost the opposite, and we had not realised quite how everything in town and lake was on the doorstep. Our only observation - not a criticism - was that the dining area is a bit functional. Putting a couple of sound absorbing items in there, e.g. cushions on chairs and benches, might help. Perhaps a tab...more
Enjoyed our visit to Causey View, great location handy for walks starting from the door and local buses to Keswick there is also a local store a few yards away and three bars in the village. Excellent accommodation, clean and comfortable throughout. Will certainly return in the future.
Some of the kitchen equipment was not clean and two of our party found the cooking smells from the restaurant below were troublesome. For this reason I would hesitate to give an outright recommendation
We last visited the Lake District in 2019 and we used to vist at least twice a year. We have booked our accommodation through Keswick Cottages since 2006. We decided to visit the Lake District one more time as we are getting to the age where the long journey is tiring. We have stayed in the Coledale apartment previously many years ago and we booked it as it was available and is very usefully located near the bus station and Booths supermarket. We found the apartment in excllent condition and well stocked with all requirements , white goods etc.. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and the weather ...more
This is the second time we have stayed in this apartment and won’t be the last. The apartment is home from home, very comfortably sleeps four. The two double bedrooms are very spacious and beds are so comfortable. Only issue is their is a lot of stairs up to the apartment certainly not suitable for the infirm. Customer service from Keswick cottages was outstanding, after I left my bag after checking out nothing was a problem to get it returned.
Loved our stay at this 3 story house. Ideal location near to town & Fitz Park. Wonderful views from the windows to the fells. New smart TV. The garage is a bonus. Our Kuga fitted with plenty of room. Comfortable beds & luxury bedding. Will definitely stay again. Thank you.
Great cottage with everything you could need, very well equipped. Lovely welcome pack. Views of Skiddaw from the window were amazing! Perfect location for walks from the door and to the local pub The Coledale. Only downside was that the bed was too soft for us.
Really nice property. Beautiful bathroom, well equipped kitchen, comfy lounge and bedrooms. Would definitely stay there again.
Highly recommended. Great location, well-equipped and well maintained. The best rental property we have stayed in.
We have been coming to Keswick for 25 years. We have stayed in Daisy Cottage a number of times as it is in a great location (and it was the first cottage we stayed in.) There were one or two problems during the week, but these were dealt with quickly and efficiently by the Keswick Cottages team. A great place to stay.
Ideal for a family of 6 and a dog. Handy for shops. Half mile to the lakeside. Comfy beds. Lighting is too dim for elderly readers like me, and the Settees are rather saggy too.
Our 4th year staying in Bridge House - perfect for extended family thanks to having bedrooms and bathrooms split over 3 floors. All the amenities are as you would have at home (freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine etc). We love the location on the edge of the town with easy walking access to all the shops and cafes, and the allocated parking on site is really useful. Parts of the house have been redecorated since we've been coming - it's very well maintained, down to the flower baskets in the courtyard. We have previously stayed in Apartment 2 and also Bridge Cottage for the p...more
Great home, lots of character. All the facilities you need. Nice and clean. Good beds. Great views. 2 minute walk to centre but quiet location. 2 minute walk to park and river. Loved our stay.
Lake View is located in Thornthwaite Powter Howe. It is a lovely location if you enjoy a short wander or a long hike, both are easily achieved. From the property itself there is a short walk alongside sheep filled fields through a small wood which leads down to the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake - less than a five minutes amble.. Conveniently the X5 bus stop is just outside, £2.00 to anywhere along the route. Travel to Keswick, Penrith or Carlisle in one direction or Cockermouth or Workington in the other. We found this a lovely way to travel, see the views along the way and not worry about t...more
Wonderful as ever. Location, facilities and parking all excellent. We will definitely be going back.
This was our 3 visit to this cottage. Nicely situated right on top of Fitzroy park and a 5 minute stroll into Keswick town centre. Kitchen is well stocked for anyone wanting to cook. We didn’t experience any problems with the WiFi. No parking with this property, however a permit is issued for the long stay car parks . Would definitely recommend to friends.
Our third stay in this lovely quiet property. With three bathrooms, an enclosed garden, and secure storage for bikes and outdoor equipment Appletree has everything we need for 5 active adults and a couple of dogs. The addition of an airfryer to the kitchen equipment was a real bonus this year.
Have already provided feedback to the booking agent. As always this property was well presented and suited our needs.
Location of the cottage was perfect for us, walking distance to a number of wainwrights and of Keswick (around 20 minutes) to get food afterwards! Cottage was well equipped and extremely tidy, but watch your head on the low beams! There are a couple of things that could have improved the stay, firstly the Wi-Fi is so slow it barely works so don’t plan on being able to do any work etc. whilst away. Secondly there are a number of signs around the property all with different instructions for the bins which we found confusing. Finally given the size of the dishwasher it would be good to have mor...more
Well decorated/maintained apartment with its own spacious parking space and within walking distance to the bus station and Booths supermaket. Very quiet bearing in mind how close it was to everything. Really comfortable bed/lounge area, kitchen a little small but with all facilities including welcome pack of tea/milk/biscuits and washing pack. Outside seating area quite small and had wooden table/chairs which were hard to keep dry so suggest changing to plastic.Great for watching the birds feeding on the wall so take some bird seed. We even had a male and two female partridges visit us within ...more
We had a lovely stay in Rock Lynn. The house was very comfortable had good amenities. It was also in a lovely location with amazing views. We were a bit disappointed with the state of the outside area by the kitchen/utility room. It had a lot of weeds and there were many dead leaves in the lean-to and the barbecue looked quite dirty. The grass was cut weekly which was great but a bit more attention to the patio/stoned area would have been appreciated. It was also a bit disappointing that we had to chase for the linen and towel change - we were expecting it to be done on the middle Saturday but...more
Everything was as it should be. The house was very clean and warm. Cooking equipment was a very high quality. Excellent location for restaurants and walking. No complaints here. Looking forward to staying again.
The property was clean and warm. The kitchen area was very nice although the offering of washing up liquid was ridiculous. Perhaps some washing machine pods could have been provided. No hand soap in kitchen either. As there were 8 of us another armchair in the sitting room would have worked better. The bed mattresses were good but the doubles were small and would have been better as king size. Single rooms were small with little room between the beds and awkward foot boards not allowing for stretching out. On the whole the property worked ok for us with our dogs. I would recommend to oth...more
This was our first stay at Bridge Mews although we have stayed in the Bridge House Complex before so we knew what to expect and we were not disappointed. Bridge Mews is just right for 2 people - a comfortable bed, modern bathroom, armchair and sofa in the lounge and a well equipped kitchen - and so close to the centre of Keswick. We'll look forward to staying there again. The staff at Keswick Cottages are very helpful too.
Comfortable apartment all you need for enjoying what Keswick has to offer. We are older people and found that the 2 flights of stairs a chore, but excercise is good for you, but take your luggage in small cases and bags as we did. The car parking spot that goes with Grandy Nook was essential to us and greatly appreciated. If you are infirm as I am, the bath shower needs approaching with care or someone to help. Love the apartment and if life is kind to us we hope to return.
We went to the Keswick Recycling Centre to dispose of are paper & cardboard Problem with outside Bins reported it to office.
This was our second year staying in Shelley cottage, having loved it so much last year, and have already booked again for a week next summer! The house is ideally located a short walk from the town centre, which makes parking and driving in/out easy, and is utterly perfect in every way!! The house itself is stunning; beautifully furnished, gorgeously decorated and with a fabulous garden with a view (great if it ever stops raining!) The beds are incredibly comfortable, and they’ve thought of everything you might need for your stay. In short - book it!! (But not when we want it )
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Ridgeway. Only 2 minutes into town & the same to Fitz Park with our 2 dogs but so quiet & fab view of the fells from the upstairs living room window. This cottage is high end with lovely furnishings & decoration & we loved the quirky postcards & pictures of Keswick on the wall outside the living room. All in all a fabulous stay in our favourite Lake District town.
We had a super week in this well equipped and comfortable cottage sat in a quiet riverside location but only 5-10 minute walk from the town centre. Lots of walks can be accessed without the need to use the car. Car parking space a real bonus and Booths supermarket just at the end of the car park. We definitely recommend and would stay here again if we came back to Keswick.
WE ENJOYED OUR STAY AT SKIDDAW VIEW. 2 SUGGESTIONS: - THE INTERNET COUL DBE IMPROVED AS ACCESS OFTEN DROPPED IN THE EVENINGS AND THE KITCHEN KNIVES COULD DO WITH SHARPENING :-)
Lovely cottage, great location. One or two things needing attention such as the kettle didn't work, neither did the tin opener. Also the heating controller was flashing some sort of error so we couldn't get that on. Really enjoyed our stay though and we'd go back.
Have been staying at Millside Cottage for the last ten or more years and now regard it home from home. Having parking is a bonus. Braithwaite is in an ideal position for visiting other parts of the lakes or for many walks.
This was our second stay at Tithe Cottage. It's ideal for two people & our two small dogs. The location & the allocated parking space are excellent. The cottage is comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Pasta bowls would have been handy, otherwise the kitchen was well equipped with a range of glasses & equipment.
Lovely cottage would stay again if visiting Keswick. The only thing is some games or dvds would have been nice considering how the weather can be. However it was excellent and comfortable. Be aware there are 2 separate parking spaces, we missed this until the last day.
It was our third time back to the same apartment. We love it. It’s clean comfortable and quiet but also very well placed. Booths across the road. Mountains to look out on to. Thank you
Me and the doggo had a fab stay here. Cottage is clean and comfortable, had everything I needed and the best views from main bedroom (the second bedroom ain't bad either). Spent most of our indoor time upstairs, reading and contemplating climbing Blencathra. Which we did. Fun trying to spot the cottage from the summit! Keswick Cottages great as ever, have stayed with these folks many times now, first time here. Usually in Keswick - which is a 10 minute drive door to parking away.
Very nice cottage in an ideal location in Keswick. You do need to be a confident driver with a small-to-medium sized car to use the parking space and not feel somewhat stressed but we found it fine. The cottage is well equipped with modern fittings and was very comfortable. Very easy access to good restaurants and pubs.
We have stayed in the Bridge House complex with Keswick Cottages for more years than I can remember! It has always been excellent and this year was no exception. Fantastic apartment in brilliant location and as always great customer service.
Fabulous cottage. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Toasty warm, spotlessly clean, all we needed for cooking. Had the loveliest week
This is the second year in a row we have booked rose bank cottage lovely cottage in a lovely part of the Lake District.
Second time staying at Elm Cottage. Great location, couple of minutes walk into Main Street but very quiet. Added bonus of having allocated parking. Cottage itself comfortable and no issues.
Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped accommodation which is also in a great location. And it has free off-street parking! Would definitely stay again.
Perfect location, walking distance into Keswick town centre. Added bonus of a courtyard garden. We didn’t find the sofa’s very comfortable but apart from that small niggle, 10/10 property.
A very cosy, convenient cottage for Keswick centre, very easy walking to all amenities. Parking a bonus with the car behind the property, although unless you get the angle just right when coming out of the space, it can appear to be a bit tight to get onto the lane to get out again!
This is a very comfortable apartment situated in a great location, very convenient for the town centre yet tucked away in a quiet corner overlooking the river. It's quite small but fine for a couple. Got a good night's sleep as it was so quiet and peaceful. Nice to be able to go out and walk along by the river.
A lovely cosy cottage not far from the centre of Keswick. Recently refurbished and the colour scheme changed to green. It has been updated without losing the cosy nature of the cottage. Has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Keswick Cottages staff are very helpful, professional and friendly and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Lake District. 10 out of 10 as always. Already booked again for 2025.
With a striking view from the main living room, Roslin didn't disappoint. The accommodation was clean, comfy and quite spacious. The weather was mixed the week we stayed but the house was warm and quite well equipped, with the smart TV particularly welcome. The location is close enough to Keswick - just a few minutes by car - but quiet and restful after the bustle of the town in summer. Would agree with comments in previous reviews and may well return.
No 9 was very central to the centre of Keswick for shopping, eating out or just enjoying a wander to the Lake. Our family of 9 including 3 visiting from Australia found it ideal.
Nice apartment in great location with private car parking space. No need to move car as everything close by ie, shops, pubs, lake, Hope Park, Fitz Park and lots of lovely walks from the door. A great bonus is having two bathrooms with fab showers. Stayed with Keswick Cottages lots of times and would definitely recommend them. Their cottages are generally of a very good standard. However Fellseeker could do with some TLC; the carpets in lounge, twin bedroom and dining room - are light coloured and easily show stains. The carpet in the lounge has large stain marks and really needs professio...more
A light, roomy, stylish and functional house in a great location for all the facilities in Keswick and exploring the Lake District.
3 The Townhouses is a good base if you want to be close to pubs, restaurants and shops. It's also very close to Fitz Park. The first-floor living room and the second-floor bedrooms offer lovely views across the rooftops to the fells. On the downside, it's on a main road with traffic noise to the front. I've fed back to the owners that the outdoor area is disappointing (and without a gate) and that the kitchen could use a few extras (radio, tea tray, pizza trays) and a few books/games wouldn't go amiss, but these are minor quibbles.
Crandy Nook is a lovely place to stay - warm, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. One of the beds hadn't been made up on arrival but after a quick phone call they sorted it within 10 minutes. Pillows could be a little comfier but that's just personal preference. Great location and parking permits were very handy. Highly recommend.
Our family had a great week, kept warm and relaxed, enjoyed the location and made the most of the local walking opportunities. Trips to Keswick for essentials or just mooching, and the women had a fine spa session at Lodore Falls. Our spaniel had such a great time in the woods, up the hills, and in the waters of Derwentwater Lucy convinced me to join her in lake dipping, which we did several times through the week … cold!! We loved the space in the cottage, and the chance to be apart within the many “quiet spots” inside the cottage
Was a great place for me and my friends to stay in the Lake District. Very cozy rooms and good furniture. No problems at all, I recommend highly!
Comfy cosy cottage close to Keswick, excellent location for exploring the area from the lakes to the coast
Sam's Cottage is compact and cosy. I did have a problem with a squeaky bed frame but the team at Keswick Cottages were quick to resolve this as much as they could. A great central location. Well equipped kitchen. We did struggle to park our big car as the alley is rather narrow!
