What an absolute stunning property this is ! On entry we were met by the most incredible views of the Lakeland fells. Absolutely breathtaking. We loved everything about the house from the gorgeous smell, the furnishings, the decor, the bedrooms & the modern kitchen / dining area. The house is very spacious & has an added bonus of a utility room for coats & boots. The dog wash a great addition too ! The house is in a quiet location just outside of the town centre but is only a short 10 minute walk to reach the shops, bars & lake. We dropped on for glorious weather so spent some time on th...more
Everything perfect. The kitchen was big and well stocked. The whole house was clean. This house even has room for three cars in the centre of Keswick. The games room, the comfy beds and bedding was icing on the cake.
We booked Ruby's cottage extremely last minute so we weren't expecting to find somewhere this good! Such a gorgeous house in the most stunning location. We loved the loft room and seeing a mountain out of each window (we especially enjoyed looking at Blencathra after we had climbed it!) The front garden was so nice to sit and read in while our toddler napped. So easy to get to Keswick and other lovely places. Great pubs, lovely cafe & a nice little play park very close by. Well-equipped house and such comfortable beds. We didn't want to leave and we hope we'll be back!
Fabulous ground floor flat located in a quiet area with own parking space and easy walk into town. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, its fully equipped and well furnished, the beds are really comfortable. Would definitely go back again.
The cottage had everything to ensure a fantastic and comfortable stay, it is set in a great location, in the village of Braithwaite with walks from the door or within driving or bus travel to all the major villages and towns. Our break happened during two weeks of very hot weather, the cottage was lovely and cool to return to after the days in the sun.
We stayed at The Eyrie early June 2026 as a family of 5 adults. The property location is perfect - close to ample parking and right next to the town centre, which was buzzing with lovely shops, cafes, wine & cocktail bars and lovely places to eat. The views from The Eyrie are stunning. The Eyrie had so much space and was very well presented. Lovely, comfy beds and all facilities great. Everything thought of. The only thing I would mention (this was not a problem for us) but for anyone with low mobility or that struggles with stairs, this property probably isn’t for you. The property is on 4 ...more
Brilliant place to stay in Keswick. Has been kept up to standard over the years. (Note: lots of stairs; only one bathroom.)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wordsworth Cottage. It had been recently refurbished throughout with good quality fixtures and fittings and tasteful decoration in every room. The kitchen was very well equipped with every utensil that we could possibly need and the bed was extremely comfortable. One of the main assets was the private parking space at the back of the property. We parked the car for the week and went around on the bus to save on hunting for parking spaces and paying for car parks. The bus stops are not far from the property and the services were good. The cottage is located about...more
Situated in a very quiet culdesac at the edge of town Blencathra is a lovely, well equiped spacious property which was very clean.Off street parking is a bonus and its only a short walk to town centre or start of track to Skiddaw. Possibly the best property we have rented in Keswick and will make it our first choice for return visits Highly recommend it.
This property is well maintained, light and airy with a hospitable ambience from the owners. Any problems that arise are quickly dealt with by Keswick Cottages. It is in a quiet cul-de-sac near to the town, Fitz Park and the Crosthwaite church and area, on level ground, in modern, comfortable accommodation.
Fern Cottage was lovely - comfy, cosy and clean. Perfect being a detached property, and the secure garage storage for the bikes was a bonus. Just be careful on the drive - it is steep and low cars may struggle with the hump at the top. We have a reasonably high car and still caught the exhaust with a fully loaded car. That said, it is a lovely property and we will definitely book again.
Our second visit to Deer Close Cottage. Very comfortable and great location. Only 1.5 mile walk into Keswick. Peaceful and lovely birds that visit the garden. Look forward to booking again with Keswick Cottages, great people who treat you like a human not just a booking number. Thanks for the wine and biscuits.
The house was very well equipped and everything worked as it should. The bedrooms were all good. Much thought was put into providing things to do indoors on an evening in or wet day. When we next visit Keswick we will book 45 Eskin Street.
We loved everything about the cottage. Lovely spacious well equipped kitchen, and comfortable lounge. So good to have a dedicated parking place. A busy street, but not noisy at night. So close to all the pubs, restaurants and shops.
We stayed here to shoot a film in the area, and even shot some of the film inside the apartment. I cannot think of a more convenient location to stay! You are literally seconds from Booths, CoOp, and the bus station, and minutes from the centre of town. Still, the area that this property is in is incredibly quiet and peaceful (which was ideal for us!). The kitchen was well-equipped, and all inventory well-maintained. The washer-dryer was very useful, and each room was very spacious and comfortable. The beds and mattresses were to die for. It even has two parking spaces! We heard that ...more
We have been coming to Bridge for years. Always it was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and ideally located for the centre of Keswick
We're recently back from our 3rd stay at Skiddaw Skies and just love it. We tried a different time of the year in the hope of better weather (than in the Autumn) and no such luck! Still, we had a fantastic time. The accommodation suits us perfectly as it's so conveniently located for buses and shops and local walk possibilities from the door. Plus it's so comfortable. It has the added bonus of plentiful books and maps to browse through and many puzzles and games if the weather really turns. And of course, the wonderful views, which really help with walk planning as you can see what the weat...more
Daisy Cottage is a beautifully presented property with everything you could possibly need for a stay in Keswick. Its central location makes it incredibly convenient — perfect for popping into town for the excellent shops, pubs, tap rooms and restaurants, strolling down to the lake and parks, or heading straight out onto the many walking and hiking trails right from the doorstep The cottage is very homely, with a well‑equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and a spacious living area. The fresh flowers on the table were a particularly thoughtful touch. We had a week of mixed weather, so the ut...more
A very comfortable, well equipped property, situated within walking distance of the town centre. Keswick Cottages were efficient and helpful, would recommend.
A lovely property in a great location, only a short walk into Keswick Town. The house had good facilities and was nicely decorated. The garden was completely secure so perfect for dogs.
Lovely well equiped bright apartment. Location ideal for everything, very central. Parking very near and a good spot if you reverse in, as driver side cannot be parked against. Comfy bed, large shower with good pressure. A fan would have been nice as the weather was VERY hot. Welcome pack very appreciated, teas, coffee and lovely biscuits also supplied two dish washer tablets, two tea towels and a kithchen roll, however you will need washing machine products and washing up liquid, as only a very small bottle in welcome pack. We definitely recommed and will return.
We were delighted with Coledale. It was very clean and cosy with everything we needed. We stayed for two weeks and were pleased to get a mid stay clean and change of sheets and towels. We felt so at home we could have stayed forever!
Very comfortable and thoughtful accommodation, a lot of care had been taken with design. Location is convenient for accessing lots of walks. The Chalet and Lingholm are very good for lunch.
This was our third stay in this lovely property, which comfortably accommodates our group of 5 active adults and 2 dogs and provides off road parking for 3 moderately sized cars. All the bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, and the living space works well. The location in a quiet area of Portinscale is ideal for us. Within easy walking distance of Keswick but away from the hustle and bustle. The welcome packs were a nice touch, the doggy welcome packs were a new addition this year - 2 very happy dogs!
The location of the apartment is ideal for everything. Very close to all the amenities & centre of Keswick plus the lakeside path to start walks. Beautifully decorated & everything we needed for a long weekend away. Enough space for 6 people with 2 bathrooms which is always a bonus. Would definitely return.
Excellent company to book with , all arrangements were very straight forward . A nice touch is supporting the local food bank with excess food t the end of your stay. Property was as described , well equipped and in a fab location .
First time booking through Keswick cottages and rebooked with them before we even returned home!! ….We could not fault anything at all, from the moment we walked in (the best quality diffusers provided scent were amazing) the property was the immaculately clean. We don’t usually stay so central to Keswick, we chose to because we were taking our cat - as we would want to nip in to him throughout the day - although, he was so happy lounging by the big windows and taking in the beautiful views (again, Keswick cottages were brilliant - they accept and welcome other pets, rather than “dogs only” -...more
Definitely the best views of anywhere we have stayed in Keswick (and we've stayed in quite a few places over the years). Great views from the kitchen, bathroom and back bedroom. Completely secure for dogs. Short walk from town. As it's a cul de sac there was no issue with parking. Good shower and comfy beds. Just a couple of minor things - no coffee pods (a couple to start you off so you know which ones to buy), no washing up liquid or salt and pepper. We find the supplies vary now but a few essentials would be appreciated. Overall a delightful holiday let but we cannot overstate how fabul...more
This was our second time at Ellergill and it didn’t disappoint, it has everything we needed including parking in central Keswick.
Without doubt - the most idyllic place with stunning views I’ve ever experienced. A return visit is definitely on the cards. The lodge is beautiful and pristine and the beds are unbelievably comfortable. Just sitting in the living area with the folding patio doors wide open, looking out onto Catbells is simply bliss. I can’t rate this place enough. 5 star rating for definite.
A lovely, well equipped apartment in the heart of Keswick. Plenty of walks from the front door and handy for buses to go further afield. Could leave car unused for the week.
Beautiful cottage, our second visit to this property, both of which were really good. Ideally located, very clean with modern facilities. This visit the weather let us down so the garden wasn’t used to its potential. Excellent place , will definitely book again
We had a wonderful stay at Lake View Cottage. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well maintained, with a fantastic location for exploring the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would happily stay here again when we next visit the Lake District.
We stayed at this cottage with our young kids and dog, we wanted something close to the Main Street for walking and this was the ideal location. It was just along from the park, 5 minute walk to the bars and restaurants, and 10-15mins from the lake. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and even provided a little doggy box which was great. We would definitely stay here again
Our party has been coming to apartment 2 for years. As always it was clean. comfortable and ideally located for the centre of Keswick
Lydias cottage is a beautiful place to stay Great location and the courtyard at the back by the river makes it all so special Will definitely return .
This was very convenient for a group. It was in an ideal location for what we required and it was comfortable and clean. We were concerned about parking but it wasn't an issue at this time of year
Great holiday property ticks all of our boxes. Just park the car and enjoy gorgeous Keswick, would definitely return.
Absolutely love this place and its wall to wall views , it’s the second time we have stayed ( it would have been the third if we hadn’t had to cancel last year due to illness). Brilliant location!! Would defo stay again!!!
We have spent yet another week at Rock Lynn. Wonderful setting. It is peaceful. It has everything that we want. We will be back next year.
Third year in row we have stayed at Cherry Garth and we love it. 5 mins walk into the centre of Keswick. Fantastic garden to relax in . Hopefully we will stay next year too.
The property was very clean, well equipped and quiet. It kept cool during a very hot and sunny week. It was comfortable although we found the double bed mattress was rather too firm. The lounge was comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Very useful bus service from the village. The village shop also handy.
Very comfortable and we were able to leave the car in the garage and use public transport to do lots of linear walks. The house had everything we needed and was cosy and warm. Lovely shower.
Sheepfold barn is a wonderful house in a very private location. Our neighbours were the sheep and cows grazing on the local land. It is conveniently situated between Keswick and Penrith with shot drives to many popular Fells. We celebrated my wife’s birthday in style! And the views from the Jacuzzi were epic. Didn’t want to get out.
We found the cottage very clean and comfortable. It has everything you'd need for a short break. The location is fantastic, a few steps away from Fitz park, which is very dog friendly and has 2 nice cafes. We didn't use the car all week as lots of walks straight from the door or easily accessible by bus or ferry. The long stay car park round the corner was fine and a permit comes with the cottage. We brought the car up to the house to load/unload it. It's a very short walk to town, and it's easy to get down to the Lakeside (maybe 10/15 minutes walk). We'd happily stay there again. ...more
We really enjoyed our stay in Keswick . Sunnycroft is an ideal holiday let for larger groups and families. The house is very comfortable and well equipped with a nice garden at the rear of the property to sit out in on summer evenings. Note the house is situated on a busy road junction and there is a significant amount of traffic noise at the front of the property especially when the windows are open. While there is plenty of parking at the side of the house , exiting the driveway can be a challenge during busy periods. There is no provision for outdoor cooking so adding a BBQ would be a nice...more
Great cottage in a very good area outside Keswick. Comfortable, good for walks , car trips to other places . Would recommend.
Had a very pleasant comfortable stay. Location of property is ideal to visit Keswick Town Centre. Property has a lovely homely feel
The house really makes the most out of its space. Really comfortable and modern yet still cosy. Everything is new, clean and well thought out. Having the downstairs toilet outside is a bonus and also the outhouse with washing machine, drier and freezer - it just frees up so much space. The house instantly feels spacious even though it is quite a small footprint and the garden is beautiful and secure. My parents live in Braithwaite so I know it well and it really does have everything, including being picturesque with pubs, a shop and walks on your doorstep. Would highly recommend this property....more
Great location - close to Keswick for restaurants and shops and also close to walks - we didn't need the car at all. Well designed and elegant. Suited us well - family of 4 plus 2 grandparents. 2 Bathrooms which was brilliant. All done well and in good condition. We had a great weekend>
We had a wonderful five-day stay at Tawny Cottage in Portinscale in mid-May. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very cosy, and it was such a lovely touch to find the heating already on when we arrived. The kitchen was exceedingly well equipped, which made self-catering easy, and the beds were very comfortable, so we slept really well throughout our stay. The location was excellent too - close to The Farmer’s Arms, a traditional pub serving good food, and with easy access to Keswick while still being far enough away to avoid the bustle of the town itself. We also found the app really useful,...more
Very good as always. We have stayed her many times. Its strengths are position and standard of fixtures & fittings
We have stayed at this property quite a few times, and as always it is clean, tidy and comfortable with a car parking space too, and within easy reach of the town centre as well as the supermarket and bus station. Would highly recommend.
Great cottage Great location fantastic parking for 2 cars, only thing was a small ensuit but would still totally recommend it ,Great stay
It's a large apartment location on the second floor on Station Road in Keswick (the one way part of it) and has a designated parking spot with a private carpark at the back of The George Hotel. The location makes it very easy to access the town centre. The living room and master bedroom are quite frankly enormous and the kitchen is also above average in size and well finished. The bathroom is also generous and looks like it was refitted within the last couple of years... again to a high standard. The second bedroom is the weakest part by far - it is small and has bunk beds that realisticall...more
Great cottage - well equipped, comfortable and conveniently located, with its own off street parking spot. The cottage is located close to Keswick town centre and only a couple of minutes walk from Booths Supermarket but it's well off the main streets and by the river do it's really quiet and peaceful. The USP is that the owners encourage you to put out bird food (provided) and if you do you'll be rewarded with visits from all kinds of birds - including some pretty tame pheasants who aren't adverse to trapping on the patio doors to remind you to feed them! There are also rabbits that visit reg...more
We spent 3 nights at acorn cottage and had a fantastic time. The cottage is very spacious with lots of space for me my 2 children, grandparents and a dog. The cottage was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect only a short walking distance to the town and fits park which my children loved, but also so quiet and peaceful.
This is a super apartment with every comfort and very well equipped. Ideal location, close to town centre, supermarket and bus station, but surprisingly quiet. Two parking spaces and no need to move the car. Fantastic views of the fells.
Good location, house was comfortable & clean, well equipped kitchen with good seating area for eating. Parking space at side of property a little tight for parking. Good communication & information from Keswick Cottage’s staff.
Loved our stay at Skiddaw View. Central location with parking space was perfect for exploring the area. Early check in was much appreciated.
We had a wonderful stay at Lords Seat. The surrounding area was beautiful and it wasn't too far from places to visit. The only problem was not being able to watch TV in the evening. Someone did come out but was unable to fix it. Also the jam we ordered was mouldy when we opened it. Will definitely go back again.
Plenty of room for 4 adults & an excited Springer spaniel. Great to have a dog friendly garden - not always the case when advertised as such! Lots of walks from the doorstep. Local shop sells delicious cakes to take on walks!
A lovely apartment in a great location, very convenient for central Keswick but also very quiet and has lovely views of the hills around Derwent Water. Also has the added bonus of an allocated parking space, which is very helpful. The apartment kept cool, especially the ground floor, which was great during the recent very hot weather.
This was a lovely flat for our family of six. The flat was clean, the living area was spacious, and the kitchen was well-equipped. It is in an ideal location for walking through town, attending a conference at The Pencil Factory, and heading to the lake.
We ended up here very last minute and we loved every minute of the nine nights we stayed here it. It's a great place to stay if you want to be near to Keswick but not necessarly in Keswick. If you've got a big SUV parking can be tricky but our Renault Captur fitted in there fine. It's highly recommended.
We have stayed at Millside Cottage many times before and it's a favourite of ours. Cottage is very homely and well equipped. It was great to see that the shower has been upgraded. One suggestion is that the new Wood burner is not that practical to use as there is no companion set, or at the very minimum an available poker. Having a fire at home, we know that sometimes you really need a poker to "re-adjust" locations of logs within the fire to ensure that they are sat correctly.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. Everything was of the highest standard — the comfortable beds, excellent bathrooms, stunning kitchen, and the two lovely fireplaces made our stay truly special. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared, and the cottage was warm, cosy, and welcoming.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Town house. We chose the Townhouse so all our grown up kids could join us - at one point we had 7 staying plus our labrador Frankie (it's his holiday really ). Fantastic location, so close to the main street. We were celebrating a big anniversary (40th) and combined with glorious sunshine had a brilliant holiday. Everything needed was there- dishwasher, washing machine etc and all the rooms were spacious and plenty of storage. We managed to park in the closest car park and the office sorted out changing over cars as family came and went. We would reco...more
Excellent location close to supermarket shops and restraunts walking distance to lake and parks accommodation accommodation could do with a good clean inside and out
This was our third visit to Spa Cottages. It is a great base for exploring the Lake District. Parking can be a bit tight, but for the majority of the time we were able to park directly outside the property.
Compact and centrally located cottage with all the amenities needed. An ideal base for exploring the area. The parking space is very tight and takes a bit manoeuvring!
Excellent location, lovely cottage and had a wonderful time away. Would definitely stay here again. Have nothing negative to say.
The Townhouse is located very close to the town centre with plenty of restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. Lovely Derwent Water with boat trips around the lake only a 15 / 20 minute walk. The house is very spacious with bedrooms and bathrooms spread over 3 floors. We noticed that compared to other locations we have stayed at, this one is right on a busy main road and the front bedrooms can be noisy with traffic early morning and at night. It wasn’t a problem as we are up early to walk the dogs in Fitz Park (beautiful for an early bit of exercise with the pooches), The hou...more
We love this property. We’ve been a couple of times now. It’s compact but for a couple it’s ideal and the location is great. Right in the centre and easy to walk to everything. If you have a small car you can park there but we managed to get in the roads around really easily. Definitely recommend.
We found the flat quiet and the location very handy for walking around town, bus stop, shops, parks and lake. It was great to have a dedicated parking space.
Always great to have a property in Keswick with private parking. Parking is tight but we managed with a Volvo XC60 We have stayed at many different cottages in Keswick and the LD with different companies. We always find the Keswick Cottages properties are much better cleaned than others and are well presented. Just a few minutes level walk to the centre of Keswick and even less to Fitz Park, which I think is our dog’s favourite place on earth! Furniture looks nice but we didn’t find the sofa very comfy, has possibly dropped a little. Beds are ok but on the hard side for us, but that’s pr...more
The process of booking, paying and checking in/out was all great. The main benefit for this apartment for us was the location and free parking space, plus it being very dog friendly. Keswick Town Centre just a couple of mins walk away, as well as Fitz Park for the dog. Loved the welcome packs for us and the dog! The apartment's facilities were fine, everything you need for a self catering stay although we didn't do much cooking in the apartment as the heatwave was still on. The apartment is very compact, wardrobes take the space of bedside tables, and only 2 sockets in the bedroom. It is also ...more
We booked this at very short notice and it suited our needs well. Our sat nav signal was lost as we got closer so we got a bit lost at the last bit of the travel to the flat and the parking space was quite tricky. (could you give a What3Words location?) The kitchen work surfaces were lower than we were used to and one of us (taller) had one significant painful and bloody encounter with the sharp corner of the cooker hood, and several near-misses. At it turned out, the weather was poor all week, so it was good to be close to shops, restaurants etc. Thanks for fitting us in at short notice.
We had a wonderful stay in Shelley Cottage, great location, comfortable and incredible views! Very comfortable and relaxing, just off the main road but still felt peaceful! we enjoyed the garden as well!
For 3 men on a walking trip it was just the job. Ideally situated for bars, shops etc. And plenty of hiking opportunities without having to drive too far. However there is room for improvement. The instructions for getting into the property are non existent - as far as I could tell. After much walking up and down Station Street looking for number 20a and then finding a property called Grandy Nook, which we assumed must be the right place but with a typo, I gave up and phoned Keswick Cottages where I had to leave a message as it was past 5.30. To their credit I was called back within 2 minutes ...more
The property is very spacious and very well equipped and within 5 minutes walking distance from Keswick town centre. I did want to give this 5 stars all the way through but we did have some issues. The parking space is very tight especially when there are other cars parked at the back, we ended up scracthing the paintwork on our car door trying to access the space, so we ended up using the parking permit for the car park, which is good, providing you can find a space in there. The parking permit isn't really clear when you enter the car park, it's all done digitally with your reg numb...more
Very well equipped property with off street parking and plenty of off street parking, located within 10 minutes walk of the town centre. Everything was very clean and well maintained and the hot tub was very welcome, particularly during a hot period of weather. Beds were very comfortable. Only minor quibble was that there did not appear to be a bin into which to deposit our general refuse, so we had to bag it up and put it into the blue bin.
The booking process was excellent, the house itself is in a fabulous central location. There is everything available to make your holiday as comfortable as possible. We would highly recommend and will definitely return.
Great accommodation in a lovely little village with fantastic views. Everything you could need to make this a home from home and only a 20 minute walk into Keswick.
As a wheelchair user this is an excellent place to stay. We have stayed before, lovely to be in the middle of Keswick
We really enjoyed our summer stay here ss a family of four with a dog. Very central location. Clean and comfortable location. Parking permits are provided for the long stay car parks - the closest is basically across the street but it does make loading/unloading luggage tricky, particularly if you had mobility issues. Parking spaces are not reserved for the accommodation. Overall an excellent holiday!
We enjoyed a weekend trip at Catbells and had a great couple of days. The property is clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfectly located for access to many lovely walks from the doorstep. We enjoyed the central location too and the lovely restaurants and cafes within a very short walk. Looking forward to a return visit in the future.
Overall we had a good week at Cragside Cottage, right beside a crag with sheep grazing. Lovely open-plan living area and large Smart TV which the grandchildren loved. Modern kitchen, but could have done with slightly smaller dinner plates which actually fitted in the dishwasher and pans which weren’t so heavy. We had been assured the patio area would be fenced off by the time we went, but there was nowhere to sit out at all. But it was in a good setting, very easy to park and handy for a number of beauty spots.
Very nice cottage, excellent location for local walks and village amenities. Pub opposite very good for meals and drinks.
Following our stay in the above cottage, we feel that our feedback to yourselves would be advantageous. Whilst the location of the cottage is superb, many – if not most – features were sadly of a poor standard, and not what ought to be expected at such a premium price point. We feel that the price of this accommodation is in the higher price bracket and that this was not reflected in what was offered. Positives: 1. Location 2. The information app that was provided 3. Quality and amount of kitchen appliances 4. WiFi Negatives: 1. Although the cottage was not wholly unclean, there we...more
