The team at Keswick Cottages were brilliant. Really accommodating when we asked questions or for more pictures prior to booking. The house is a short walk to town centre but is in a very quiet area with a lovely garden to make use of. Would book again.
We had a fantastic stay at Mill house. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, well equipped, and in a great location. Everything was exactly as described and we would happily recommend it to others. The only issue we encountered was with the hob. We were unable to get it working during our stay, although we were unsure whether this was down to user error on our part or if there was a fault with the appliance. It maybe helpful for future guests if clearer operation instructions were provided. Aside from this Mill house was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Lovely stay in azalea it has been very well furnished with lovely equipment. The bed and linen were top notch. Attention to detail and lovely touches. Housekeeping full marks not a speck of dust anywhere. Would recommend
We visited the Eyrie in May 2026 and had a perfect stay. The house is beautifully presented, all the rooms are spacious with a great ensuite. Lounge, diner and kitchen are well equipped and well laid out. The house itself is within a 5 minute walk of most of the pubs and restaurants so there is little more you could ask for. Comms with Keswick cottages was also great - the team were very helpful. Finally the app is very useful and contains most of what you need to have a good time in Keswick. If you book the Eyrie, you'll surely have a great stay!
Impressively decorated apartment in the centre of Keswick with a dedicated parking space. Very comfortable beds and quality linen and towells, very quiet location which is few minutes from the shops. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again, the only down side was the stairs up to the apartment which were a challenge after a long walk and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Keswick Cottages were helpful in answering our queries before our stay, a real 5 star holiday (and the weather was fantastic for April!) The directions to the apartments are misleading, it is n...more
We have stayed here several times and love it! It is always super clean, the beds are very comfortable and has everything we need for a happy holiday in Keswick. Have already booked for September.
Situated in a very quiet culdesac at the edge of town Blencathra is a lovely, well equiped spacious property which was very clean.Off street parking is a bonus and its only a short walk to town centre or start of track to Skiddaw. Possibly the best property we have rented in Keswick and will make it our first choice for return visits Highly recommend it.
A lovely flat, I was very impressed particularly with how clean it was - as someone with severe food allergies such a clean kitchen was a dream. Brilliant location and lovely decor too.
Our second visit to Deer Close Cottage didn't disappoint. Lovely, quiet location, with easy walking access to Keswick. The cottage is well equipped; warm and cosy when the weather is a little chilly and damp, but with peaceful outside space to enjoy when the sun shines. Pheasants, geese, robins and sparrows visited the garden and neighbouring fields, although no sheep and lambs in the front field this year. Thanks too, for the welcoming wine and biccies which greeted us on arrival. I am sure we'll be back again.
The cleanliness of the laundry needs to be better for that perfect stay. Towels smelt of dirty water and the bedding had terrible stains.
We had a fantastic stay with Keswick Cottages in Fern Cottage, Portinscale. The cottage was spotless, beautifully maintained and immediately felt warm and welcoming. The location in Portinscale was perfect for us: peaceful and quiet, with lovely views towards the fells, yet near to Keswick. Fern Cottage was very well equipped, comfortable and spacious, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay in the Lake District. The private parking made an excellent base for exploring the Lake District. What really stood out was the quality and professionalism of the service from Keswick Cottages....more
The house was very well equipped and everything worked as it should. The bedrooms were all good. Much thought was put into providing things to do indoors on an evening in or wet day. When we next visit Keswick we will book 45 Eskin Street.
Another lovely property from Keswick Cottages. Farmers Retreat is comfortable, clean and in a perfect location. Only a short walk through the lovely Fitz park and you are in the centre of Keswick. No need to drive in and pay for parking. Well equipped and beautifully furnished it was a pleasure to stay in this lovely house. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we didn't get chance to sit in the garden - maybe next time
Maiden Moor has everything we look for in a holiday cottage. It's in a great location, has parking space for 2 cars, it's clean and comfortable, and there are plenty of walks you can do straight from the front door or by using a bus - the bus station is just across the road. Can't wait to come again!
Can Highly Recommend This Cottage Have stayed here approx 18 times now Always Clean Bright and Comfortable Great Decor and Superb Kitchen Central Location Brilliant Excellent service from Keswick Cottages as always Will be back again later in the year
We stayed in Skiddaw Skies and the downstairs property The Ridgeway as a party of 10 ladies celebrating my 50th birthday! The accomodation was spot on for what we were looking for being perfectly located for the town centre but also walking distance to the lake! The property was well fitted out with everything needed including a fabulous coffee machine which luckily used the same coffee pods as my own machine back home! The bed linen and towels were of superb quality, which all added to the homely feel! We would totally recommend this property and are now hoping to make this trip an annual...more
Three Peaks surpassed all our expectations. The three double bedrooms and three bathrooms were all as clean and comfortable as described. The kitchen diner was well equipped for a family of six, self catering most days. The lounge was delightful with the three picture windows each with a different aspect with gorgeous views over the fells. But the best feature was the garden and patio with al fresco dining and views of Skiddaw, Blencathra, the Helvellyn Range, Catbells and Coledale all at once. We did have fantastic weather during our stay which is not guaranteed but we will be booking again ...more
Excellent property for our stay minor issue with ensuite lighting that team resolved within half hour Shame internet reception is not greater within the property we had 2 elderly guess as part of our party which made a downstairs bed room and ensuite idea - but patio area nd slop/steps are quiet a dangerous area for them we always had to have someone keeping an eye them cleanliness of house is a 5 but cleanliness of outside tables and chairs let down the quality of the rest of the area need bigger airer for property size or more pegs
Great location, good off street parking although this is a short walk from the property. The house was great with a good selection of toys and games for the kids, having two lounges was good, communication with Keswick Cottages was good and we will definitely be booking again
Homely accomodation. Clean, comfortable and cosy. Good shower, comfy beds and kitchen has everything needed. Town, Booths and bus station a few minutes walk. We had a problem that was quickly rectified even on a Sunday. Woud like to stay again. Keswick Cottages kindly provides starter pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Only thing didn't like is the check in time of 4pm. There is an option to pay extra for a 2pm check in. (Think it was £50 for two guests, we declined option) Always been a standard 3pm check in with the many other companies we've booked with for Keswick.
Very comfortable and thoughtful accommodation, a lot of care had been taken with design. Location is convenient for accessing lots of walks. The Chalet and Lingholm are very good for lunch.
A fabulous apartment to stay in and beautiful place to return to after adventuring. We enjoyed doing long hikes from the apartment without needing to move the car. And we really enjoyed being able to walk out straight to the market. The parking was easy to find, however, the directions for the apartment were hard. The app did not work for us off-line and it would have been better to have a pdf from an email with simpler directions, such as the door to the left of The Stripey Sheep Boutique, with a photograph of the shop and apartment door.
We have had several visits to Appletree. It is a brilliant venue for family/group get togethers. It is very comfortable and very well equipped, always immaculate. The new garden chairs are extremely comfortable and the garden parasol was an essential for our wall to wall sunny week - incredibly, not a drop of rain all week! We would always return here ..... when available.A word about the staff at Keswick Cottages, they are great to deal with as we have found over the years, nothing is too much trouble, well done.
Great stay at two chimneys! Our group = total of 4 adults; 1 couple, 2 singles and a dog, so felt very spacious across the 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. The bathrooms were newly renovated - loved the shower! Well stocked kitchen with all the gadgets you'd need while away from home. Perfect location for us with very easy parking for 2 cars (we only had 1, but a friend visited and could easily park). Only suggestion (and maybe we just couldn't find it) - suggest you put a light in the shed for table football! Keswick Cottages couldn't have been better, all the pre-arrival comms, info was easily...more
We stayed at Park View for a 5 night break in April. We loved the the location of the property which gave us immediate access to Hope Park and was only a short walk to Friar’s Cragg and the launch. The property is well decorated and facilities were excellent - loved having a washer dryer to clean up our walking gear! Kitchen utensils and appliances were in great condition which enabled us to cook a few nights which we like to do. Only issue we encountered were the noisy bin men twice a week, anrriving around 6am! Apart from that we slept well, enjoyed the property and had a lovely time...more
Clean, well equipped and views utterly stunning! Garden secure for dogs and Keswick easily accessible.
Great place to stay when visiting Keswick - Very central and close to both the lake and the rest of the town’s amenities
Red Robin is a cracking 3-bed cottage in a quirky little side street in Keswick, with plenty of space and comfy furnishings … we really enjoyed our short stay there, and it was good to be within 10-15 minutes walk to Fitz Park, centre of Keswick town, Hope Park and the shores of Derwentwater. Lots of neat touches around the cottage, plenty of room in all 3 bedrooms, and some good ideas regarding facilities upstairs & down.
This is our second stay at Langrigg. We enjoyed it very much. It is a very quiet location. The wildlife is there to see. We loved seeing the hares running around. One little one came up to our patio door. The birdsong is magnificent. The house is very comfortable and bright and in the main it is clean. It does need a bit more attention to detail in the bathrooms. Particularly behind the toilet in the small en-suite bathroom.
A lovely, well equipped apartment in the heart of Keswick. Plenty of walks from the front door and handy for buses to go further afield. Could leave car unused for the week.
Sheepfold Barn, as the name suggests, is a well presented barn conversion with lots of light and is fully equipped for an enjoyable stay. The location is fantastic with great dog walks on the doorstep. Being lambing season we were entertained by the frolicking lambs as we relaxed in the jacuzzi. Our dogs were very well behaved, initially curious but the long walks made them too tired to care. There is lots of parking available at the house which is accessible from a long bumpy drive, just take care and it won’t be a problem. The beds are really comfortable as are the sofas. We celebrated with ...more
Beautiful cottage, our second visit to this property, both of which were really good. Ideally located, very clean with modern facilities. This visit the weather let us down so the garden wasn’t used to its potential. Excellent place , will definitely book again
I booked this property at quite short notice to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary with our family. It's tricky to find somewhere that accomodates 8 guests comfortably. The central location and 2 parking permits were a real bonus, we didn't move the cars once during our stay. The configuration of the bedrooms and bathrooms suited the needs of our group. The bedding and towels were good quality. There were plenty of pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. The outdoor seating area was excellent and due to the perfect weather, got used to its full advantage every day. It might be time to look at a f...more
Stayed for second time in Cherry Garth. What a lovely house. Tasteful modern decor. Spotlessly clean. Well kitted out kitchen. Outdoor enclosed eating area..rare I this location. Would highly recommend.
Gorgeous place lots of space inside and out and lovely and cool in this weather. Easy to access spacious rooms, comfy bed only thing is we did have to move the bed to put our travel cot in there and some dust bunnies under bed but not the end of the world would 100% stay again
Bridge House Apartment 2 is in a great location for shops, restaurants and cafes, and an easy walk to the theatre and lake. Having 2 designated off-road parking spaces makes it especially convenient. It is very comfortable and well equipped. A note for tall people: you will be fine in the en suite shower but the shower above the bath was too low for our 6-foot son to stand under. Two of the bedrooms face a main road, so expect traffic noise.
The cottage, its location and the superb views from it were perfect in every way. We also found the email communication and friendliness of Keswick Cottages shop staff to be exactly what one would hope from a holiday cottage letting company. We have been annual visitors to the Keswick area for over 25 years and we have now found our new "go to" cottage for our future visits. We have already rebooked for 2027!
Another wonderful week in the Lakes, and a first time in a central location. Barely needed to move the car. Great customer service.
Accommodation clean and tidy. Keys a little hard to find at the beginning for entry as there are many 'front porches'. In a nice area with mountain views and easy access to Whinlatter and Keswick and surrounding area.
Very comfortable and we were able to leave the car in the garage and use public transport to do lots of linear walks. The house had everything we needed and was cosy and warm. Lovely shower.
No complaints Found some issues on arrival which were communicated to agent and have now hopefully been resolved
Lovely cosy and well presented cottage. As we don’t have a car having a bus stop right at the door was a bonus.
Stay with family for the Keswick mountain festival, ideal location within easy walk of the town and other attractions. Plenty of car parking however, cafe below recently changed hands so expect to be much busier and with subsequent noise increase when reopens in Sept. Could do with wifi extender to reach back bedrooms as poor also tv remotes need batteries none that worked throughout.
Newly renovated to a very high standard this is a stunning place to stay. Has everything you could need and possibly the comfiest bed ive ever slept in ! A couple of teething issues were found but as the first guests to stay in somewhere newly renovated it can be expected, Will definetly be looking to book again
Had a very pleasant comfortable stay. Location of property is ideal to visit Keswick Town Centre. Property has a lovely homely feel
Our group of 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs had the most wonderful stay in Fellside Hideaway, one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. The house is large with a vast amount of storage space. Comfortable beds and sofas. Huge T.V’s in most rooms. Views to die for from the living room! The kitchen was great to cook in with lots of crockery and cooking utensils. The kids loved the dart board although we did have to purchase some darts (which we left there) The hot tub was clean and hot on our arrival and we used it everyday. The weather was amazing for our weeks stay and the gar...more
We had a wonderful five-day stay at Tawny Cottage in Portinscale in mid-May. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very cosy, and it was such a lovely touch to find the heating already on when we arrived. The kitchen was exceedingly well equipped, which made self-catering easy, and the beds were very comfortable, so we slept really well throughout our stay. The location was excellent too - close to The Farmer’s Arms, a traditional pub serving good food, and with easy access to Keswick while still being far enough away to avoid the bustle of the town itself. We also found the app really useful,...more
Just back from a 4 night stay at Bridge Mews and can’t recommend this property highly enough. Perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. Very well furnished and appointed with everything we needed. We have stayed in this complex before and the Mews did not disappoint. If you are looking for the perfect bike hole for two this is the place. Perfectly located at the bottom end of the town, a 2 minute walk to the shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. We will definitely be back.
This is a lovely cottage in the heart of the Braithwaite village, accessible for transport, walking, cycling etc. all amenities you would expect & comfortable beds. Parking & electric charging point were an added bonus ( once we worked it out!) Bathroom / hot shower great after a busy day. Decent sized smart TV & a porch for all the wet walking gear! Lovely garden but weather not too warm yet to enjoy to its full potential. Freezer a good plus for food delivery & washing/ drying facilities also excellent. Could get a touch too warm upstairs but reduced the heating to resolve this.
We've recently returned from a long weekend staying at Bridge Cottage to celebrate a family member's milestone birthday. The location of Bridge Cottage is fantastic, on the outskirts of the town, you can walk in to the town in 2mins, and 10-15mins takes you to the lake. With parking included for two vehicles, we didn't need to move the cars at all over the weekend - it was such a luxury being able to walk everywhere, and it also saves a good bit of money in parking charges. The cottage itself was really lovely, very comfortable (for 5 x adults, 1 x child and 2 x dogs) and everything we need...more
The lords seat was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Great location with amazing views. Nice to have the extras like the dvds and games. The only disappointing thing was the water going off (ironic in the lake district) but obviously not your fault. The only thing that would have helped is instructions on a couple of things. We struggled with the hob as it clicks off every time we put the pan on and hadnt used that sort of hob before so took a while to figure it out. It was a lovely place to stay. Thank you for letting us stay there.
We have stayed at this property quite a few times, and as always it is clean, tidy and comfortable with a car parking space too, and within easy reach of the town centre as well as the supermarket and bus station. Would highly recommend.
Lovely flat in central location. The excellent views come at the cost of two flights of stairs, not a real issue as long as you are reasonably mobile.
This is a super apartment with every comfort and very well equipped. Ideal location, close to town centre, supermarket and bus station, but surprisingly quiet. Two parking spaces and no need to move the car. Fantastic views of the fells.
Good location, house was comfortable & clean, well equipped kitchen with good seating area for eating. Parking space at side of property a little tight for parking. Good communication & information from Keswick Cottage’s staff.
Lovely cottage. Clean, well maintained and comfortable. Ideally situated in a quiet area of Keswick. The parking space is a welcome bonus. Nice to see some pheasants and rabbits hopping about the garden. This was our first stay and we plan to return.
Chose this apartment due to the location being close to all amenities and onsite parking. First impressions on arrival were not great due to a tatty foyer that was accessed to reach the first floor. Owners have tried to put too much furniture in the small lounge, no need for a 6 seater sofa for 2 guests. Seat at table was in the way for access to the kitchen, kitchen was small but well equipped, a dishwasher would be more useful than a washing machine. Crockery needs replacing due to many items being chipped. Bathroom whilst functional could do with a walk in shower rather than a shower over ...more
Spacious property, within walking distance of town. Did report that bins were overflowing outside with black bags piled high both on the floor and on top of the bins on two occasions (appeared bins had not been cleared for weeks). Some areas of 5he property were a little dusty otherwise clean. The kitchen is rather small for a property of its size making it a bit difficult to have more than one person using it at a time, and bath a bit tight to get in/out of. Beds comfy.
Banf Cottage was just perfect for our family trip away hiking in The Lakes. Clean, comfy and great location. Would highly recommend.
Another two weeks spent in this lovely cottage, so handy for the local supermarket and a short walk to the centre of Keswick. Despite being close to the town it is a very quiet spot and a parking space is a bonus. The weather wasn’t brilliant for us and quite cold at times but the cottage was lovely and warm. Already booked for another stay next year.
Having stayed at Millside on numerous occasionsit still feels like home each time I arrive. The cottage is always warm and comfortable and well equipped, On site parking is good and the enclosed garden is of a great benefit (especially when bringing your dog).Braithwaite is ideally situated for exploring the northern lakes. If like me, you hold a bus pass, travelling around the Lakes from Keswick is a great journey way of enjoying Cumbria.
Booked this property along with the upstairs property for a party of 10 ladies! Was very impressed with the close proximity to the town centre, ideal for a short stroll into town and to the lake! The property had everything required, with attention to detail for even the small things like tin opener, grater etc! Everything was immaculate and very cosy! We particularly loved the outdoor patio area with a perfect sun spot late into the evening! We would 100% recommend this property!
Rosebank is a very clean, comfortable cottage. Lovely views across to the hills at the back & pheasants & lots of birds visit the garden.Very handy for the Coledale Inn, & the Royal Oak & 5 minutes in the car to Keswick if you want to try something different like Thai food at the the Star of Siam. We have stayed there frequently & will definitely go again. Many thanks.
This was a lovely flat for our family of six. The flat was clean, the living area was spacious, and the kitchen was well-equipped. It is in an ideal location for walking through town, attending a conference at The Pencil Factory, and heading to the lake.
Had a lovely stay with fab views over the fells. Cozy fire and living room. Will definitely becoming back. Thanks again for a great stay
This was our third visit to Spa Cottages. It is a great base for exploring the Lake District. Parking can be a bit tight, but for the majority of the time we were able to park directly outside the property.
The cottage is just far enough out of town, so as to avoid the crowds. But close enough for shops, restaurants and pubs etc
The location was perfect for us and good to have parking nearby. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms a nice size. There were a few issues that we would expected more on. When booking for a week you would expect a more substantial welcome back - not extravagant, just a pint of milk and box or tea bags etc - not a few long life sachets. The kitchen was too small for six of us, you had to move chairs around all the time and think we all banged our head on the cupboard where the crockery is. It didn’t flow. One of the chairs was unstable so we move it out of the way. The fridge was too...more
We have visited in Keswick many times over the last 30 years and have stayed in No. 11 Howrahs Court for the last few years as we consider it to be the best. The property is very well located, light, big enough for us and provides us with excellent accommodation and parking in a central and quiet location. Of course, not everything is exactly as we would specify but it is best choice for us.
This is our third holiday at Isobel and once again proved to be a superb cottage for our stay. Central location and great base for many walks with our dog, didn’t move the car all week. A few minor issues that were quickly resolved. Access road to the cottage is too narrow for our SUV so parked in Otley Road car park. Another great holiday and we will certainly be back next year.
Well equipped house in a great location. Beds were comfy and it was very quiet. Slightly comfier sofas to relax in after a hard days walking would be my only suggestion.
The flat provided everything we wanted for a very comfortable 4 night stay. It’s worth noting the exterior, accessed by a couple of flights of steps, belies the modern, spacious interior. The flat is well equipped throughout. A starter kitchen pack meant we didn’t need to pack any additional items and the hot drinks pack enabled us to have a cuppa on arrival. The bathrooms were super, we loved the shower in the main bathroom, we didn’t use the en-suite one. Hand wash and a toilet roll were provided in both bathrooms. The towels were nice and fluffy too. The bedrooms were spacious and the do...more
The automated booking process and informational emails was excellent. The flat itself is on the 2nd floor of the building so not for anyone with severe mobility issues. A few signs of ageing with broken rendering outside and signs of damp in the kitchen window. Small and neat kitchen, small lounge, modern bathroom, and small bedroom. Only 1 toilet roll supplied which could be improved. The bedroom had wardrobes either side of the bed which are a bit restrictive, would have preferred bedside cabinets but as lack of space, the wardrobes had to go somewhere. The bed was not to our liking, but may...more
Fabulous place to stay with family. We have stayed in the same accommodation this year and last so must be be good for us to return. Very comfortable beds we all slept well. Ideal central location . Perfect place to stay.
Stayed for a week at Birchgate and had no issues at all. The cottage is situated 5 minutes from the centre of Keswick and has the benefit of its own parking space. Everything you would need for a comfortable stay is provided including a welcome box for our two dogs. All in all a great cottage in an absolutely astounding part of the country.
We had a wonderful stay in Shelley Cottage, great location, comfortable and incredible views! Very comfortable and relaxing, just off the main road but still felt peaceful! we enjoyed the garden as well!
For 3 men on a walking trip it was just the job. Ideally situated for bars, shops etc. And plenty of hiking opportunities without having to drive too far. However there is room for improvement. The instructions for getting into the property are non existent - as far as I could tell. After much walking up and down Station Street looking for number 20a and then finding a property called Grandy Nook, which we assumed must be the right place but with a typo, I gave up and phoned Keswick Cottages where I had to leave a message as it was past 5.30. To their credit I was called back within 2 minutes ...more
The property is very spacious and very well equipped and within 5 minutes walking distance from Keswick town centre. I did want to give this 5 stars all the way through but we did have some issues. The parking space is very tight especially when there are other cars parked at the back, we ended up scracthing the paintwork on our car door trying to access the space, so we ended up using the parking permit for the car park, which is good, providing you can find a space in there. The parking permit isn't really clear when you enter the car park, it's all done digitally with your reg numb...more
As a wheelchair user, it's rare to find somewhere to stay that's not only accessible (not just a touch but fully) and is comfortable. Sam's feels homely and considering you are in the middle of town, it's super quiet. Everything from the welcome pack to the customer service was excellent and the app is super helpful for navigating a new place. The only downside is the very narrow entrance from the road, not for the inexperienced driver! Or anyone in a larger car than a small van. You cannot turn around once parked too, so having to reverse up is slightly more tricky! I'm not sure where you ...more
Good comfortable base for walking and cycling with facilities close at hand. Very enjoyable stay and would use again
I had a very enjoyable stay at Skiddaw Heights. The accommodation was perfect for what I was looking for and also very walkable to both the town centre and Derwentwater. The hot tub was very much appreciated after a day's walking. It may have been my first stay in this property but I don't think it will be my last.
Second time of stopping at Roslin so obviously I like it! The location in Portinscale is ideal for walking from the doorstep, travel into Keswick for supplies, Borrowdale/ Newlands valleys or in general travelling out to other Lakes areas as the A66 is so near. Plus the Buttermere circular bus service is available with stops in the village or Keswick Bus Station is nearby. Roslin is very comfortable and well equipped for self catering or just chilling in the lounge with the view of Skiddaw. There are some games and books located in the drawers under the TV but I didn't look and so didn't find ...more
Enjoyed our stay, (4 adults) plenty of space and very handy for the town. Downstairs bedroom is handy for those who can't manage the stairs but the bed is very creaky.
Overall we had a good week at Cragside Cottage, right beside a crag with sheep grazing. Lovely open-plan living area and large Smart TV which the grandchildren loved. Modern kitchen, but could have done with slightly smaller dinner plates which actually fitted in the dishwasher and pans which weren’t so heavy. We had been assured the patio area would be fenced off by the time we went, but there was nowhere to sit out at all. But it was in a good setting, very easy to park and handy for a number of beauty spots.
We booked this cottage quite last minute, and were amazed to see that it was still available, and I continue to be amazed that it was still available, because it was absolutely perfect. The location was like like something from a dreamland… So many walkers commented on it and I was reluctant to tell them the truth that it was just a holiday rental, as it was really a property to be in or of an unfortunate I couldn’t claim I live there! Absolutely stunning, the kids had a blast in and out of the water, walks from your doorstep on steroids, what’s not to love?
Two separate electrical faults. One caused a flame to shoot out the wall melting the wires in the kitchen socket, the other melted the wires in the immersion heater meaning no hot water for several days. A door fell off in the kitchen, and the upstairs landing storage heater wires had been cut and disconnected so it was freezing upstairs at night. I was told by the electrician that came out several times that the owner of the property liked to ‘tinker’ with the electrics hence the botched up and dangerous wiring. I was also told the owner was very tight and wouldn’t spent money on the plac...more
