The Tops is perfectly located in the heart of Keswick. The apartment is modern and cosy, with great views of Skiddaw from the kitchen window. You’ll struggle to find a better place to stay in Keswick town centre - it can’t be faulted.
We spent a wonderful week at Sheepfold recently. Barn and grounds has everything supplied for guests comfort. Keswick Cottages were efficient and responded to queries politely and immediately.
Absolutely fantastic cottage with a great log fire and very comfortable loved it and would recommend it to anyone
Great location within easy walk of shops and some lovely pubs - also not far from Derwentwater for beautiful strolls near the lakeshore. Spacious and light but very cozy in the evenings. Well provided kitchen though the layout was a bit tricky when we were all seated at the table. Team at Keswick Cottages were friendly and helpful.
Our 4th stay at this property and one of the best due to the fantastic bright but cold weather. It’s always warm and welcoming to return back to this lovely house. It’s ideally situated in a quiet street within easy walking distance of the town centre and we hardly used our cars during our stay.
Beautifully furnished home in excellent location between the town parks and centre. The ornaments and fittings in the Eyrie are fantastic. Our only issue was the lack of a spare roll of toilet tissue.
Lovely property set a few minutes from the town and Fitz park Decor & cleanliness of a very high standard and provision of a car parking space is a great bonus as surrounding streets really busy even in October. We found the stairs quite slippery so need to wear slippers or light shoes to get a grip Other than that can’t fault the place and would fully recommend
Another wonderful stay at Maiden Moor, just a lovely place for both quality of accomodation and the great location, we were so lucky with the weather
Lovely bungalow in a spectacular setting. Very quiet location and has everything you could need. Views from the windows are stunning. Lovely and clean. Our 3rd visit so highly recommend.
Despite the weather we had a lovely stay at Skiddaw skies. The apartment was beautiful, clean, well equipped and in a great location. My daughter loved the selection of toys and games to explore. We couldn’t have asked for more.
We have just enjoyed our third visit to Alison's View. As before we found the house to be comfortable, clean and very cosy. from weather forecasts we expected a tricky week with snow - this fortunately never materialised. We enjoyed fine, cold weather during which the garage proved to be a real boon (no de-icing required!). The house is so handy for all the amenities in Keswick, we would certainly look forward to a further visit.
Stayed here with my family last week and loved the accommodation which is a two minute walk to the Town centre and a five minute walk to Derwentwater. Really clean and well equipped and a bottle of Prosecco was a nice touch.Parking is great with two spaces and communication from Keswick Cottages is professional and friendly especially Jessica. The only slight downside is the poor water pressure so we couldn't use any taps or the toilet while we having a shower as it affected the temperature drastically from freezing cold to extremely hot.Beds are on the hard side but there are mattress topp...more
This apartment fulfils all our expectations and needs, in terms of locality, facilities and cleanliness and has done for very many years. It is within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants, public transport and the shore of Derwentwater. There are wonderful views of the mountains from the apartment but be prepared to climb 3 flights of stairs. The owners have recently updated the kitchen, bathroom and living room to a very high standard. Any issues are always promptly and efficiently dealt with by Keswick Cottages staff.
The property is large and easily sleeps 6 adults and 2 children. It’s centrally located and it’s very easy to park on the drive and in the street; which is a bonus in Keswick. The garden area is fully enclosed and has a lovely patio table and chairs. It is well equipped and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
Our third stay so testimony to the comfort of Coledale. Good location, clean and comfortable with bonus of private parking.
We’re a family of 6 adults, 2 children, 2 dogs and we’ve just come back from the most amazing stay at Ellergil. You couldn’t find a better location, and the fact it had a small garden for the dogs was a complete winner. The beds were super comfy, there was so much space and everything you needed and more in the kitchen. Lots of fun games provided, which was an added bonus. We also went up at the end of Nov and we had Christmas trees in the living rooms and lovely decorations. Made a huge impact We’ve fed back some small suggestions to Keswick cottages, for example some Children’s cutlery, p...more
We really enjoyed our break at Lydia's River Cottage the weather wasnt the best but we managed to get out for walks and a browse around Keswick shops, the Christmas lights are always so lovely! The cottage was very cosy and well equipped, we had a small issue with the gas fire which was dealt with very promptly by Michael the owner who very quickly resolved the problem he couldn't have been helpful and we enjoyed chatting about the cottage. The cottage is about a 10-15 walk into town along the road but there are also footpaths within easy reach which take you into the countryside and park, w...more
The property is located in a very peaceful and beautiful location and it is a comfortable and beautiful apartment/flat. The letting agents answer their phones quickly and are very pleasant and helpful to speak with to resolve any questions. We deliberately chose a small, local company through which to find a property and were not disappointed.
This is our second stay and it did not disappoint. Clean, tidy, warm and has everything you need. Kitchen has everything you need. Nice tray with some essentials to start you off. The views are stunning, lovely to sit out on the balcony in the sun. Would definately book again.
Bridge house was very comfortable. The kitchen was an excellent room for us all to gather and eat together. The sitting room was a pleasant place to relax in the evening. We were 3 couples and all had plenty of space. The location was very convenient for Booths, restaurants and the shops. Parking for 2 cars was also a bonus. A very enjoyable stay.
Been here many times and have never been disappointed New Kitchen and Lounge area Excellent Very Clean and Very Warm and comfortable So Central to everything Excellent Communications from Keswick Cottages Already booked another stay in March 2025
This property is immaculate inside and extremely comfortable. Red Robin is very well presented and ideally situated on a quiet side street, with easy access to the town centre, parks and lake it’s a great choice for a stay in Keswick. If you’re not going to use the dishwasher, suggest you do need to take washing up liquid and a dishcloth or sponge, but towels and tea towels were amply provided. Despite being on a side street and there being parking available right outside, it is still only on a first come first served basis and we had to park on Helvellyn Street during our stay - it’s only m...more
We had a wonderful week at Apartment 1. It was beautifully presented and it is extremely warm and cosy. It has everything that you could want for a break in Keswick and the location and parking are fantastic.
The property is in a great location with absolutely stunning views in every direction. It's within easy walking reach of several pubs which all do good food and there are lovely walks in every direction. The 3 bedrooms are all a good size with extremely comfortable beds and the 3 bathrooms are well appointed, the en-suite maybe a tad on the small size, but perfectly useable. The bungalow was beautifully warm and the seating area at the top of the garden was just lovely for a relaxing sit out to admire the scenery. Obviously it would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues, due to...more
Loved the property Plenty of room, nicer and secluded great amenities, big front room and kitchen Not far from some amazing walks in the Lake's Will definitely be back
The cottage was very cozy and quiet. In an ideal location for the town, restaurants and walks Will definitely book again with Keswick Cottages
excellent few days spent here with my family (and Max my son's dog) the weather was great too. could not have wished for more.
Accommodation was ideal for the purpose, not least the three shower rooms. Service from Keswick Cottages was excellent. Highly recommended.
We have stayed at 5 The Townhouses 4 times now. Such a good location. Everything you could need is provided. Very well stocked kitchen - plenty of glasses for the fizz! . We were very pleased to see a new bed in one of the rooms - it was lovely and comfortable. New cushions as well in bedroom and lounge. We just love this house and will be back next year.
Wonderful position, perfect for us , close to most things we enjoy. Very comfortable and Tony and Linda very welcoming
Great cottage.Well equipped.Excellent outdoor space for the dog.Very close to Keswick town centre and park
Causey View is in a great location with lovely walks available from your doorstep. There’s a good selection of cafes and pubs nearby. The bungalow is extremely comfortable, clean and well appointed. We had questions during our stay and Rebecca at Keswick Cottages was a star. We very much hope to return.
Excellent in all respects - very comfortable ( especially the bed!) and absolutely immaculate when we arrived. High quality towels and bed linen and good internet connection. Very well equipped - difficult to think of anything which wasn't provided and the service in dealing with a couple of problems, which were nobody's fault, could not have been more prompt - someone came out on Sunday evening to attend to a heating problem. Ideal setting, being only a few minutes from one of the best supermarkets in the country, Booths, and from the bus station. Perhaps marginally more expensive than a...more
Good central location 2 mins walk into town centre. Onsite parking for 2 cars which is very convenient Well presented apartment all you need for a short stay. Excellent size bedrooms, one with on suite Modern design with open plan living area. Great for couples, families or a group like us.
Great cottage location. Very cosy and warm cottage. Well equipped. The entryway (outside) could do with some sand put done as it’s very slippy on the flagstone in freezing conditions. We are back in March! Enjoyed our stay very much.
Tawny cottage in the quiet village of Portinscale was a perfect retreat. Warm, cosy and very comfortable with everything we needed for a relaxing break. Lovely walks from the door to Cat Bells and around Derwent water and also several lovely walks from Braithwaite were easily accessed without a trip in the car. Keswick is not far with its market and great independent shops. There is a fabulous cheese shop. Portinscale has a pub just around the corner and a cafe further down the lane. We would definitely return to this excellent holiday cottage. Thank you very much, we loved the Christmas we...more
Lovely property that was perfect for 4. Gardens beautiful, upmarket area, interior very nice, location within walking distance. We would stay again. A few things to note... The driveway is very dark, even with the outside light on. My mum accidentally went to the left hand side of the sloped path and tripped over a raised paving slab, and fell on the drive as she said she couldnt see. Needs a light further down the drive, as the surface is split level. We have booked 3 seperate properties with keswick properties and have liked all three. Have you considered a loyalty or recommend a friend sc...more
Very comfortable, warm lodge. Quiet, peaceful and lovely scenery . Not far from town and other amenities.
Fantastic week at Grandy Nook for 2 adults + 10month baby. Highly recommend to those looking for car-free trip to Lakes, with all the options of Keswick (pubs, restaurant, supermarket) + buses elsewhere. Accommodation was ideal - very comfy bed, spacious lounge area, functional kitchen & bathroom. Great heating & smart TV for chilly Dec nights. Service from Jessica was brilliant throughout. Will be contacting Keswick Cottages for next Lakes adventure.
A very homely place, well organized, clean and well kept. The host was also friendly! A definite recommendation.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, clean and homely. Rebecca at the Agency was extremely helpful. I would recommend the cottage.
Great location, well equipped kitchen, & comfortable place to stay, & having our dog with us with Fitz park just around the corner was a bonus, & also the property had a back door entrance into a large utility room which was great for drying off & cleaning up the dog before entering the carpeted areas, private parking space for one vehicle right across from the property
The cottage is conveniently located for a great trip to the Northern Lakes. It is homely and comfortable.
Had a nice stay at Glen Cottage, the location is excellent with many walks direct from the door, parking was a bonus. The enclosed garden was perfect for our 2 dogs and could imagine it being beautiful in Summer. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of cutlery and good quality crockery. There is a small freezer outside which we weren’t expecting, if only we had known in advance! No second settee as mentioned. On the negative side when we arrived the house was not very warm ( air pump heating) the cold snap was predicted, so would have expected the property to be heated accordingly. We ...more
Acorn Cottage is a great place and has had a face lift since we last stayed which has made a real difference. My only small issue is the rear garden space could do with a makeover too
This is a great property in a very good location but there are a couple of negatives; yard needed to be jet washed, beds not all that comfortable, toilet flush in two bathrooms very poor but still enjoyed our stay.
I had a wonderful stay at Shelley Cottage. It was a fantastic location - easy walk into the town and great opportunities for amazing walks! All the information given to me prior was perfect and there was lots of helpful information given. The upstairs of the cottage was lovely and cosy and the garden was beautiful to watch the sunset. The only one downfall was the smell downstairs - strong odour of damp.
Stayed several times now and will be staying again soon. Comfortable and cosy with everything you need.
Great week in a very comfortable cottage. Great location for visiting Keswick and walking the fells. Lots of walks from the door and the cottage was a great base to return to. Quiet street, easy parking. Well equipped kitchen, cosy log burner and plenty of space for a family of 4. This was our second visit to this great find of a cottage.
This was my first visit to Quaver Cottage and it won't be my last. The cottage is lovely and spotlessly clean, Everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is in a brilliant location, 5 mins walk to the main street but still very quiet. I have stayed in lots of self catering accommodation over the years and this has got to be one of the best. We were even lucky with the weather for this time of year. Will definately be back.
The accommodation was overall good if a little small. Quality of facilities was good and location excellent. However there needs to be some honesty on where the parking is situated it is not behind the accommodation exactly and you need to carry your luggage quite a distance from your car to the front door as you cannot park directly outside to unload. Second issue and not one that cannot be resolved so easily is that other tenants in the building do not close / shut the front door on entering or exciting so leading to a security issue. Maybe an agreed sign could be placed by the door remind...more
Perfect location,in a quiet cul de sac.Supermarket across the road as is the town centre.Clean modern interior, which I could not fault.
Lovely warm cottage. Good location. Well laid out nothing to complain about. Rebecca was really good at helping to book the cottage. Would stay here again. Susan
Comfy and cosy stay at Greta cottage. We visited during a cold November month and the cottage was perfect base for walks and then relaxing by the fire.
This is a lovely cottage in a great location. Braithwaite is a lovely village with a great village shop on the doorstep (fresh bread, cakes and a little tea shop) and friendly pubs. You can walk or cycle from the door and never need to use the car all week. The bus service is also good. The cottage is comfortable, warm and lots of space to store muddy clothes and bikes. The owners were really friendly and helpful and left lots of useful bits and pieces. There is parking outside for two medium sized cars, any bigger and you'd need to park the second in the village which is a few minutes walk. ...more
Stayed at Elm Cottage a number of times as great location and well maintained. Thanks to the owners and Keswick Cottage’s for the hamper as we had to cancel our holiday earlier in the year due to illness. We will definitely visit again next year.
I also book this place. We love it. Beautiful and clean and has plenty of facilities. Close to Fitz Park and the town.
Another great week in Keswick, staying in Bridge House Apartment 3. Clean, cosy and warm, and very well appointed. Excellent central town location.
Lovely tidy clean cottage within Keswick and everything that you would need. Parking not an issue either. Would happily stay again and recommend to others.
Enjoyed our stay . Very well supplied with pots and kitchenware. One very minor criticism - found windows very difficult to open and we prefer to sleep with window slightly ajar but overall a very comfortable stay. Welcome packs much appreciated.
A lovely cottage with all of the essentials, very cosy and we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely come back!
We’ve stayed in Keswick many times but this house is the closest we’ve ever been to the centre of town. Great location near the park and with two parking permits included in the price it was easy to park too. The house is well-equipped although one of the settees was not very comfortable. Being able to easily alter the central heating thermostat made sure we were nice and cosy throughout our stay. A couple of downsides - the water pressure to the top bedroom en-suite was not good and the hand basins in the en-suites were ridiculously small. Unfortunately these last two points would probably...more
We had a great stay here for our week at the Keswick convention. The house had all the essentials and Keswick cottages were very helpful with any problems. We would have loved an outdoor area (the balcony was not very appropriate for the little ones). It was wonderfully central, very clean and had comfy beds. We felt it was very expensive for what it was but no more so than everywhere in Keswick in the summer holidays.
This flat, whilst obviously well used, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay in Keswick. The little welcome kitchen and tea packs were a nice touch. The location couldn't have been better. We could walk to everywhere from the flat which also had a handy off road parking spot. The information from Keswick Cottages was spot on and there was a handy tablet packed with information for our stay. We would definitely stay again if in the area.
We have just stayed for 3 nights in 3 The Townhouses. This was a lovely 4 bed property in a fabulous location, within easy walking distance of Keswick centre. The house was very clean and offered all the facilities that you required. Would stay again and would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
A comfortable home from home. Beautiful views. Shame about traffic noise from by-pass. Lovely walks for dogs. Without a car it's a bit far out of town and no local shops. Patio could be a hazard and the step down to the out house is steep for those with mobility issues. But overall it was a lovely place to stay.
Crandy Nook is a lovely place to stay - warm, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. One of the beds hadn't been made up on arrival but after a quick phone call they sorted it within 10 minutes. Pillows could be a little comfier but that's just personal preference. Great location and parking permits were very handy. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic stay in Stickle Tarn. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need for our stay in Keswick. Being positioned on the corner of the building, the apartment afforded fabulous views of the mountains on two sides. We were also blessed with unexpectedly amazing weather - wall-to-wall blue skies and sunshine all week! - and this was a real bonus. The accommodation was ideally located, with restaurants, pubs and shops all within easy walking distance, and we were right by the lake so we enjoyed lovely lakeside walks every day. Thank yo...more
Nicely equipped cottage in centre of Keswick right near the CoOp. In good condition and nice and clean. Well equipped but could do with a few more mugs etc. Lovely character to it and would book again. Parking is in the long stay car parks nearby or at Lakeside. Also a short stay across the road for an hour which was worth the £1.50 when we were popping in and out again. Also Booths have an hour free parking round the corner. Kingfisher fish and chips were excellent, Rookin’ house equestrian was great for a 2h hack for our 16yo, otherwise the fells were lovely as ever.
Was a great place for me and my friends to stay in the Lake District. Very cozy rooms and good furniture. No problems at all, I recommend highly!
My sister and I wanted to take our fairly recently disabled mother on a little holiday to give my dad, who is her full time carer some much needed respite. I spent hours searching for a property that catered for my mums unique needs. Lots of properties say they are wheelchair friendly or disabled friendly and it’s only when you interrogate the photos and you realise it’s not what you actually need. The handrails maybe on the wrong side, there is a gravel drive, a walk in shower but it’s actually a shower tray…… I found it incredible difficult and frustrating. I came across Sam’s cottage via o...more
We have stayed in Stanger cottage several times before and were disappointed to find it very poorly equipped with kitchen utensils than it was previously , making it much harder to cater than before ,the door locks had also been changed from our visit 18 months before and the back door was difficult to open ,when we arrived we rang Keswick cottages about it as we couldn't get in and were told just keep turning the key and it will open eventually, which would indicate that it was an on going problem, we again reported it after turning the key over 50 times and still being unable to get in ,an...more
We booked this cottage because we like to take our two spaniels to nice places. This is the most dog friendly place we have ever been. Secure, large garden and stunning traffic-free walks literally from your doorstep. We stayed late November when the ferry was not running, a round trip to Kewick in the car for shopping is at leat an hour so arrive well stocked. If the weather gods play ball, watch beautiful reflections on the lake by day and the Milky Way at night. Last but not least, Keswick Cottages were efficient, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Book direct for best price.
