We loved Ruby’s cottage and the stunning location so much that this was our second stay there, returning only 4 days after our first stay! Cottage lovely and comfortable with everything you need, jaw dropping views, short walk to local pubs and within easy reach of Keswick and other Lakes destinations. Ruby’s influence and impact clear as very dog friendly. Will certainly be back.
The team at Keswick Cottages were brilliant. Really accommodating when we asked questions or for more pictures prior to booking. The house is a short walk to town centre but is in a very quiet area with a lovely garden to make use of. Would book again.
We had a fantastic stay at Mill house. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, well equipped, and in a great location. Everything was exactly as described and we would happily recommend it to others. The only issue we encountered was with the hob. We were unable to get it working during our stay, although we were unsure whether this was down to user error on our part or if there was a fault with the appliance. It maybe helpful for future guests if clearer operation instructions were provided. Aside from this Mill house was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Azalea was absolutely perfect for the 2 of us. We couldn’t fault it at all. We were lucky to have found such a lovely place so close to the town (2 min walk) with a parking space and a small outside area. We will definitely go back next time we visit the Lakes.
Newly refurbished, the cottage is stunning. Outside space needs a little work. Would stay definitely stay again.
We stayed at The Eyrie early June 2026 as a family of 5 adults. The property location is perfect - close to ample parking and right next to the town centre, which was buzzing with lovely shops, cafes, wine & cocktail bars and lovely places to eat. The views from The Eyrie are stunning. The Eyrie had so much space and was very well presented. Lovely, comfy beds and all facilities great. Everything thought of. The only thing I would mention (this was not a problem for us) but for anyone with low mobility or that struggles with stairs, this property probably isn’t for you. The property is on 4 ...more
This was our 3rd stay in Crosthwaites Gardens, which confirms how much you enjoy this property; it's clean with all the amenities we require. Its location to Keswick is walkable; we didn't use our car all week. The garage is a great benefit for storing our bikes.
Lovely accommodation in a great central location. Beautifully decorated and with very comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again.
Situated in a very quiet culdesac at the edge of town Blencathra is a lovely, well equiped spacious property which was very clean.Off street parking is a bonus and its only a short walk to town centre or start of track to Skiddaw. Possibly the best property we have rented in Keswick and will make it our first choice for return visits Highly recommend it.
Our second visit to Deer Close Cottage. Very comfortable and great location. Only 1.5 mile walk into Keswick. Peaceful and lovely birds that visit the garden. Look forward to booking again with Keswick Cottages, great people who treat you like a human not just a booking number. Thanks for the wine and biscuits.
We had a fantastic stay with Keswick Cottages in Fern Cottage, Portinscale. The cottage was spotless, beautifully maintained and immediately felt warm and welcoming. The location in Portinscale was perfect for us: peaceful and quiet, with lovely views towards the fells, yet near to Keswick. Fern Cottage was very well equipped, comfortable and spacious, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay in the Lake District. The private parking made an excellent base for exploring the Lake District. What really stood out was the quality and professionalism of the service from Keswick Cottages....more
The house was very well equipped and everything worked as it should. The bedrooms were all good. Much thought was put into providing things to do indoors on an evening in or wet day. When we next visit Keswick we will book 45 Eskin Street.
We loved everything about the cottage. Lovely spacious well equipped kitchen, and comfortable lounge. So good to have a dedicated parking place. A busy street, but not noisy at night. So close to all the pubs, restaurants and shops.
This is at least the 3rd time we've been to Maiden Moor - we love that it's so close to central Keswick, including the Booths supermarket and buses to/from other parts of the Lake District, yet it's always very quiet (even during the beer festival on the rugby ground opposite). The accommodation is quite small for a two bed apartment but very smart and has everything we need. It's disappointing that they still haven't connected the shaver socket in the ensuite bathroom or put heating into the towel rail in the other bathroom (we keep mentioning this but I think they just want to leave them dis...more
We're recently back from our 3rd stay at Skiddaw Skies and just love it. We tried a different time of the year in the hope of better weather (than in the Autumn) and no such luck! Still, we had a fantastic time. The accommodation suits us perfectly as it's so conveniently located for buses and shops and local walk possibilities from the door. Plus it's so comfortable. It has the added bonus of plentiful books and maps to browse through and many puzzles and games if the weather really turns. And of course, the wonderful views, which really help with walk planning as you can see what the weat...more
Daisy Cottage is a beautifully presented property with everything you could possibly need for a stay in Keswick. Its central location makes it incredibly convenient — perfect for popping into town for the excellent shops, pubs, tap rooms and restaurants, strolling down to the lake and parks, or heading straight out onto the many walking and hiking trails right from the doorstep The cottage is very homely, with a well‑equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and a spacious living area. The fresh flowers on the table were a particularly thoughtful touch. We had a week of mixed weather, so the ut...more
The house was very comfortable and clean and provided excellent accommodation for our all male walking group. Good location for pubs (very important) and restaurants. Parking for 2 cars was very useful, given its town centre location, although we ended up with 3 cars, with a small additional charge, which was fine.
A very comfortable, well equipped property, situated within walking distance of the town centre. Keswick Cottages were efficient and helpful, would recommend.
We were delighted with Coledale. It was very clean and cosy with everything we needed. We stayed for two weeks and were pleased to get a mid stay clean and change of sheets and towels. We felt so at home we could have stayed forever!
Very comfortable and thoughtful accommodation, a lot of care had been taken with design. Location is convenient for accessing lots of walks. The Chalet and Lingholm are very good for lunch.
A fabulous apartment to stay in and beautiful place to return to after adventuring. We enjoyed doing long hikes from the apartment without needing to move the car. And we really enjoyed being able to walk out straight to the market. The parking was easy to find, however, the directions for the apartment were hard. The app did not work for us off-line and it would have been better to have a pdf from an email with simpler directions, such as the door to the left of The Stripey Sheep Boutique, with a photograph of the shop and apartment door.
Excellent company to book with , all arrangements were very straight forward . A nice touch is supporting the local food bank with excess food t the end of your stay. Property was as described , well equipped and in a fab location .
Worked well for hiking for our family of 5. Excellent location as could walk to many restaurants and hike out the back door. Booths grocery store has a great selection of high quality foods. Comfortable beds and kitchen had what we needed for breakfast and lunch.
We have had several visits to Appletree. It is a brilliant venue for family/group get togethers. It is very comfortable and very well equipped, always immaculate. The new garden chairs are extremely comfortable and the garden parasol was an essential for our wall to wall sunny week - incredibly, not a drop of rain all week! We would always return here ..... when available.A word about the staff at Keswick Cottages, they are great to deal with as we have found over the years, nothing is too much trouble, well done.
First time booking through Keswick cottages and rebooked with them before we even returned home!! ….We could not fault anything at all, from the moment we walked in (the best quality diffusers provided scent were amazing) the property was the immaculately clean. We don’t usually stay so central to Keswick, we chose to because we were taking our cat - as we would want to nip in to him throughout the day - although, he was so happy lounging by the big windows and taking in the beautiful views (again, Keswick cottages were brilliant - they accept and welcome other pets, rather than “dogs only” -...more
This was our second time at Ellergill and it didn’t disappoint, it has everything we needed including parking in central Keswick.
We found two chimneys to be cosy yet spacious. Well equipped with everything you could need with clear instructions on how to use any of the appliances. Useful information available on activities and eating places. Outdoor space and parking an added bonus.
Without doubt - the most idyllic place with stunning views I’ve ever experienced. A return visit is definitely on the cards. The lodge is beautiful and pristine and the beds are unbelievably comfortable. Just sitting in the living area with the folding patio doors wide open, looking out onto Catbells is simply bliss. I can’t rate this place enough. 5 star rating for definite.
This was our second stay at Red Robin. We returned due to the comfort of the house and location for central Keswick. It is also very close to the lovely Fitz Park. We have an older dog so hired a dog buggy from Podgy Paws which enabled us to travel further in the area. Once we have parked the car we leave it for the duration of our stay.
A lovely, well equipped apartment in the heart of Keswick. Plenty of walks from the front door and handy for buses to go further afield. Could leave car unused for the week.
This cottage was in a perfect place. Beautiful views and plenty wildlife to watch. Within easy reach of Keswick.
Sheepfold Barn, as the name suggests, is a well presented barn conversion with lots of light and is fully equipped for an enjoyable stay. The location is fantastic with great dog walks on the doorstep. Being lambing season we were entertained by the frolicking lambs as we relaxed in the jacuzzi. Our dogs were very well behaved, initially curious but the long walks made them too tired to care. There is lots of parking available at the house which is accessible from a long bumpy drive, just take care and it won’t be a problem. The beds are really comfortable as are the sofas. We celebrated with ...more
Beautiful cottage, our second visit to this property, both of which were really good. Ideally located, very clean with modern facilities. This visit the weather let us down so the garden wasn’t used to its potential. Excellent place , will definitely book again
The cottage was clean, spacious, and had everything I needed. I used it as a base for walking and the location is ideal for the Northern and North Western Fells. A real gem.
This was very convenient for a group. It was in an ideal location for what we required and it was comfortable and clean. We were concerned about parking but it wasn't an issue at this time of year
Bridge House Apartment 2 is in a great location for shops, restaurants and cafes, and an easy walk to the theatre and lake. Having 2 designated off-road parking spaces makes it especially convenient. It is very comfortable and well equipped. A note for tall people: you will be fine in the en suite shower but the shower above the bath was too low for our 6-foot son to stand under. Two of the bedrooms face a main road, so expect traffic noise.
The cottage, its location and the superb views from it were perfect in every way. We also found the email communication and friendliness of Keswick Cottages shop staff to be exactly what one would hope from a holiday cottage letting company. We have been annual visitors to the Keswick area for over 25 years and we have now found our new "go to" cottage for our future visits. We have already rebooked for 2027!
Lovely cottage, ideally located close to Keswick with great dog walk close by. Very comfy, homely feel to the cottage, with a well equipped kitchen. Overall we had a great stay & will definitely be coming back.
Third year in row we have stayed at Cherry Garth and we love it. 5 mins walk into the centre of Keswick. Fantastic garden to relax in . Hopefully we will stay next year too.
Very comfortable and we were able to leave the car in the garage and use public transport to do lots of linear walks. The house had everything we needed and was cosy and warm. Lovely shower.
No complaints Found some issues on arrival which were communicated to agent and have now hopefully been resolved
We loved Jasmine cottage and didn’t want to leave! It’s close to everything we needed. Great location. We loved going to The Chalet cafe next door for breakfast or a drink and cake after a long walk, walking to the Lake, walking to Lingholmes walled garden and their amazing cafe. Close to the Alpacas! Lovely powerful shower and very comfortable bed- and I’m very fussy about shower’s and mattresses! Plenty of room in the cottage even though it’s only a one bedroom. Immaculately clean and decorated. Great sofa. Beautiful conservatory area. Great to have allocated parking space but a ...more
This was our 3rd stay at Fairbank and we book it purely for the location: love the ease of access to the town centre, yet there's a feeling of being in the countryside due to the quiet lane and view of the river and park. The house is absolutely fine: the bed is comfy, it's warm and has a little suntrap of a garden at the back. If I were to suggest improvements it would be: provide a long length mirror and a large pot for cooking. We'll definitely be back!!!
Stay with family for the Keswick mountain festival, ideal location within easy walk of the town and other attractions. Plenty of car parking however, cafe below recently changed hands so expect to be much busier and with subsequent noise increase when reopens in Sept. Could do with wifi extender to reach back bedrooms as poor also tv remotes need batteries none that worked throughout.
We really enjoyed our stay in Keswick . Sunnycroft is an ideal holiday let for larger groups and families. The house is very comfortable and well equipped with a nice garden at the rear of the property to sit out in on summer evenings. Note the house is situated on a busy road junction and there is a significant amount of traffic noise at the front of the property especially when the windows are open. While there is plenty of parking at the side of the house , exiting the driveway can be a challenge during busy periods. There is no provision for outdoor cooking so adding a BBQ would be a nice...more
Had a very pleasant comfortable stay. Location of property is ideal to visit Keswick Town Centre. Property has a lovely homely feel
The house really makes the most out of its space. Really comfortable and modern yet still cosy. Everything is new, clean and well thought out. Having the downstairs toilet outside is a bonus and also the outhouse with washing machine, drier and freezer - it just frees up so much space. The house instantly feels spacious even though it is quite a small footprint and the garden is beautiful and secure. My parents live in Braithwaite so I know it well and it really does have everything, including being picturesque with pubs, a shop and walks on your doorstep. Would highly recommend this property....more
Our group of 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs had the most wonderful stay in Fellside Hideaway, one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. The house is large with a vast amount of storage space. Comfortable beds and sofas. Huge T.V’s in most rooms. Views to die for from the living room! The kitchen was great to cook in with lots of crockery and cooking utensils. The kids loved the dart board although we did have to purchase some darts (which we left there) The hot tub was clean and hot on our arrival and we used it everyday. The weather was amazing for our weeks stay and the gar...more
We had a wonderful five-day stay at Tawny Cottage in Portinscale in mid-May. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very cosy, and it was such a lovely touch to find the heating already on when we arrived. The kitchen was exceedingly well equipped, which made self-catering easy, and the beds were very comfortable, so we slept really well throughout our stay. The location was excellent too - close to The Farmer’s Arms, a traditional pub serving good food, and with easy access to Keswick while still being far enough away to avoid the bustle of the town itself. We also found the app really useful,...more
Just back from a 4 night stay at Bridge Mews and can’t recommend this property highly enough. Perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. Very well furnished and appointed with everything we needed. We have stayed in this complex before and the Mews did not disappoint. If you are looking for the perfect bike hole for two this is the place. Perfectly located at the bottom end of the town, a 2 minute walk to the shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. We will definitely be back.
We have stayed at this property quite a few times, and as always it is clean, tidy and comfortable with a car parking space too, and within easy reach of the town centre as well as the supermarket and bus station. Would highly recommend.
Great cottage Great location fantastic parking for 2 cars, only thing was a small ensuit but would still totally recommend it ,Great stay
After our van breaking down we managed to book grandy nook last minute. The online booking was easy to make, the welcome details comprehensive and check in straight forward. The apartment was spot on, in a great location and had its own parking which was very convenient. Had a lovely stay. Would recommend.
This is a super apartment with every comfort and very well equipped. Ideal location, close to town centre, supermarket and bus station, but surprisingly quiet. Two parking spaces and no need to move the car. Fantastic views of the fells.
Quaver Cottage is a modern, well-equipped townhouse in a quiet location, within a few hundred yards of central Keswick. Booking was easy, and a PDF guide was sent in the week before arrival, with all necessary information. Although it should be possible to download the document I somehow only saved a bookmark, which was useless without the wi-fi password - so I strongly recommend writing down or printing the street address, key safe code and wi-fi password in case technology lets you down. The accommodation is as well equipped as a modern home, clean and comfortable. We very much appreciated o...more
Good location, house was comfortable & clean, well equipped kitchen with good seating area for eating. Parking space at side of property a little tight for parking. Good communication & information from Keswick Cottage’s staff.
Loved our stay at Skiddaw View. Central location with parking space was perfect for exploring the area. Early check in was much appreciated.
We had a wonderful stay at Lords Seat. The surrounding area was beautiful and it wasn't too far from places to visit. The only problem was not being able to watch TV in the evening. Someone did come out but was unable to fix it. Also the jam we ordered was mouldy when we opened it. Will definitely go back again.
Lovely clean cottage, perfect for our group stay over a long weekend. Weather was extremely warm & the two single rooms got quite hot but think that was exceptional! Furnishings etc just right for us & only a short walk into town/shops if needed. Beautiful area to explore & very peaceful at night. Good value for money too. Would stay here again. Thanks!
Banf Cottage was just perfect for our family trip away hiking in The Lakes. Clean, comfy and great location. Would highly recommend.
Really enjoyed our stay at Elm Cottage. Very comfortable accommodation. Parking space was a real bonus and it is in an excellent location.
A lovely apartment in a great location, very convenient for central Keswick but also very quiet and has lovely views of the hills around Derwent Water. Also has the added bonus of an allocated parking space, which is very helpful. The apartment kept cool, especially the ground floor, which was great during the recent very hot weather.
Rosebank is a very clean, comfortable cottage. Lovely views across to the hills at the back & pheasants & lots of birds visit the garden.Very handy for the Coledale Inn, & the Royal Oak & 5 minutes in the car to Keswick if you want to try something different like Thai food at the the Star of Siam. We have stayed there frequently & will definitely go again. Many thanks.
This was a lovely flat for our family of six. The flat was clean, the living area was spacious, and the kitchen was well-equipped. It is in an ideal location for walking through town, attending a conference at The Pencil Factory, and heading to the lake.
This was our second visit to Millside Cottage, the location is ideal , it's dog friendly and you can park your car safely off the road. There are some fabulous walks straight from the door for all abilities from a pleasant stroll to a bagging a string of Wainwrights. The cottage could do with some new furniture as the sofas are worn and somewhat uncomfortable, the front of the house were you park the car had some loose pavers and could do with weeding to give the property the appeal it deserves. Having said that we would stay at Millside again because of it's ideal location and the fact tha...more
Had a lovely stay with fab views over the fells. Cozy fire and living room. Will definitely becoming back. Thanks again for a great stay
This was our third visit to Spa Cottages. It is a great base for exploring the Lake District. Parking can be a bit tight, but for the majority of the time we were able to park directly outside the property.
The cottage is just far enough out of town, so as to avoid the crowds. But close enough for shops, restaurants and pubs etc
The location was perfect for us and good to have parking nearby. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms a nice size. There were a few issues that we would expected more on. When booking for a week you would expect a more substantial welcome back - not extravagant, just a pint of milk and box or tea bags etc - not a few long life sachets. The kitchen was too small for six of us, you had to move chairs around all the time and think we all banged our head on the cupboard where the crockery is. It didn’t flow. One of the chairs was unstable so we move it out of the way. The fridge was too...more
We have visited in Keswick many times over the last 30 years and have stayed in No. 11 Howrahs Court for the last few years as we consider it to be the best. The property is very well located, light, big enough for us and provides us with excellent accommodation and parking in a central and quiet location. Of course, not everything is exactly as we would specify but it is best choice for us.
We love this property. We’ve been a couple of times now. It’s compact but for a couple it’s ideal and the location is great. Right in the centre and easy to walk to everything. If you have a small car you can park there but we managed to get in the roads around really easily. Definitely recommend.
Probably the nicest cottage we have stayed in for many years. Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The small sunny garden was a bonus!
Its a lovely place. Handy for Keswick & area. Tea & coffee provided but only for one round. Had gr8 time.
Having previously stayed in various other properties in this block, this was the second time in this one. Our previous stay in here was quite a few years ago. The kitchen has had a recent upgrade with new appliances fitted. Unfortunately we were unable to use the induction hob and no literature was available. I visited the Keswick Cottages office and was helped by one of the staff who came back to the flat and managed to sort the problem and even printed the operation instructions for me which I inserted in the information file in the flat.
Stayed for a week at Birchgate and had no issues at all. The cottage is situated 5 minutes from the centre of Keswick and has the benefit of its own parking space. Everything you would need for a comfortable stay is provided including a welcome box for our two dogs. All in all a great cottage in an absolutely astounding part of the country.
We booked this at very short notice and it suited our needs well. Our sat nav signal was lost as we got closer so we got a bit lost at the last bit of the travel to the flat and the parking space was quite tricky. (could you give a What3Words location?) The kitchen work surfaces were lower than we were used to and one of us (taller) had one significant painful and bloody encounter with the sharp corner of the cooker hood, and several near-misses. At it turned out, the weather was poor all week, so it was good to be close to shops, restaurants etc. Thanks for fitting us in at short notice.
We had a wonderful stay in Shelley Cottage, great location, comfortable and incredible views! Very comfortable and relaxing, just off the main road but still felt peaceful! we enjoyed the garden as well!
For 3 men on a walking trip it was just the job. Ideally situated for bars, shops etc. And plenty of hiking opportunities without having to drive too far. However there is room for improvement. The instructions for getting into the property are non existent - as far as I could tell. After much walking up and down Station Street looking for number 20a and then finding a property called Grandy Nook, which we assumed must be the right place but with a typo, I gave up and phoned Keswick Cottages where I had to leave a message as it was past 5.30. To their credit I was called back within 2 minutes ...more
The property is very spacious and very well equipped and within 5 minutes walking distance from Keswick town centre. I did want to give this 5 stars all the way through but we did have some issues. The parking space is very tight especially when there are other cars parked at the back, we ended up scracthing the paintwork on our car door trying to access the space, so we ended up using the parking permit for the car park, which is good, providing you can find a space in there. The parking permit isn't really clear when you enter the car park, it's all done digitally with your reg numb...more
This was a very pleasant breakin the Keswick town. Sam’s is a well laid out accessible cottage withi easy reach of town and activities. It is comfortable with everything you need for your stay, The shower area is great for the less mobile which suited us. The parking area did pose slight worries although the larger cars which use it regularly showed no problems A couple of small points however, there were no information leaflets or instructions on the tele use could not get Netflix (no password on sign in info). The sound box kept screeching. Otherwise a very happy stay and would certainly...more
Great accommodation in a lovely little village with fantastic views. Everything you could need to make this a home from home and only a 20 minute walk into Keswick.
Good comfortable base for walking and cycling with facilities close at hand. Very enjoyable stay and would use again
I had a very enjoyable stay at Skiddaw Heights. The accommodation was perfect for what I was looking for and also very walkable to both the town centre and Derwentwater. The hot tub was very much appreciated after a day's walking. It may have been my first stay in this property but I don't think it will be my last.
Enjoyed our stay, (4 adults) plenty of space and very handy for the town. Downstairs bedroom is handy for those who can't manage the stairs but the bed is very creaky.
Overall we had a good week at Cragside Cottage, right beside a crag with sheep grazing. Lovely open-plan living area and large Smart TV which the grandchildren loved. Modern kitchen, but could have done with slightly smaller dinner plates which actually fitted in the dishwasher and pans which weren’t so heavy. We had been assured the patio area would be fenced off by the time we went, but there was nowhere to sit out at all. But it was in a good setting, very easy to park and handy for a number of beauty spots.
Great location for a walk into Keswick and really helpful to have a parking space. Lovely views of Cat Bells from the lounge window and a well equipped apartment. Unfortunately our stay was impacted upon by finding on arrival an oven and tray in an unclean state. The somewhat small fridge, especially for a 4 person apartment, was missing the bottle/milk tray which had clearly snapped off and we found underneath the sink. Although Keswick Cottages were responsive, sending round a maintenance man reasonably quickly, he was unable to replace the tray as he had to order parts.
Following our stay in the above cottage, we feel that our feedback to yourselves would be advantageous. Whilst the location of the cottage is superb, many – if not most – features were sadly of a poor standard, and not what ought to be expected at such a premium price point. We feel that the price of this accommodation is in the higher price bracket and that this was not reflected in what was offered. Positives: 1. Location 2. The information app that was provided 3. Quality and amount of kitchen appliances 4. WiFi Negatives: 1. Although the cottage was not wholly unclean, there we...more
Two separate electrical faults. One caused a flame to shoot out the wall melting the wires in the kitchen socket, the other melted the wires in the immersion heater meaning no hot water for several days. A door fell off in the kitchen, and the upstairs landing storage heater wires had been cut and disconnected so it was freezing upstairs at night. I was told by the electrician that came out several times that the owner of the property liked to ‘tinker’ with the electrics hence the botched up and dangerous wiring. I was also told the owner was very tight and wouldn’t spent money on the plac...more
