Skiddaw Skies is a large and comfortable property situated in an ideal position for access to the town while giving spectacular views of the fells around Keswick.

Our stay was perfect, communications were good and the accommodation was actually better than the online images. Close to town but quiet and very comfortable. Nicely updated to include a lovely main bathroom, a modern kitchen and bedrooms thoughtfully equipped with nice bedding and pillows you can actually sleep on. En suite to the two rooms we used, again well appointed, although if you're taller than average you may need to watch your head in them.

There's a handy decked balcony with table and chairs to the rear, a little slippy give the time of year and decking but not dangerously so and a large selection of games and DVDs for those Lakes days that test your outdoor gear.

There are a lot of steps if you have mobility issues, but we didn't find that a problem. This is a great place to stay and could easily have been spacious enough for more than our small group.

This apartment is in a very convenient place for the centre of Keswick. We found it clean, comfortable and well equipped. I don't have many criticisms, however, there is only one parking space which was made difficult to access by cars parking on the pavement opposite. There are a lot of stairs in the property - I counted 66 from street level to the top bedroom. The doors have closures on them because they are fire doors and these can be a bit fierce - one shut on our 6-year-old granddaughter's finger! We had some problems with opening the main bathroom door. While the welcome packages in the kitchen were very generous and useful, there was only one spare toilet roll which was not kept in the bathroom but in the cleaning cupboard.

I have just enjoyed a weekend stay at this property with my brother and parents. It's very spacious and more than enough room for 4 adults and a dog. The location is ideal, just a very short walk from the main street. There are a lot of stairs but this was not a problem for us.

Skiddaw Skies is a lovely property .
The views are amazing .The seating balcony out back is a must on a sunny day .
The deep roll top bath is wonderful after long walks especially on wet days .
The property has everything you need .
Fridge freezer oven microwave and the welcome pack of tea coffee etc is lovely when you first arrive .The master bedroom has a very comfy huge bed .

This is our 3rd stay in Skiddaw Skies and we love it more each time. The weather wasn't ideal (unusually high winds all week making it difficult to walk or even stand up above 1,000 ft on most days), but after mornings out spending the afternoons looking out at the ever changing weather made up for this. The cottage is cosy, the location great to pop out to the supermarket and having the parking space just outside brilliant. It is on the pricy side compared to other places (particularly when there are only 2 of you), but the benefits you get make it worth every penny.

If I was mean, I’d try to put you off so we can book Skiddaw Skies anytime we like! We’ve been several times before and we love it. The views are spectacular and the accommodation is comfortable. Lots of steps to keep you fit, but great location for enjoying Keswick and surrounding areas. This time, we didn’t move the car once we had parked it in its off road designated spot. Superb!

Had fairly low expectations having booked in the school summer holidays at short notice but the property exceeded our expectations and then some! The most wonderful location super short stroll into Keswick centre but very quiet street and good car parking. The property was beautifully clean and the kitchen so well equipped. The stairs weren’t really a bother to us at all and my daughter loved her bedroom tucked away in the attic. The late check out was wonderful for giving us a chance to get everything organised and making the most of our last day (the best weather).
Two little things, disappointing to pay for towels and not get any large bath sheets included, and although the property accepts dogs I wouldn’t call it dog friendly - notices telling you to keep dogs out of bedrooms at all times and terms and conditions saying that if extra cleaning is required due to bringing a dog you will have to pay extra in spite of paying £30 for bringing the dog in the first place. Still had a lovely time with the dog though and there is a large area by the front door and entrance hall for drying them off and sorting them before access to the rest of the house.

Please be aware that guests to Skiddaw Skies are provided with complimentary luxury white bed linen and towels. This has previously been two bath towels and one hand towel per bedroom, however following your feedback the owner has decided to change the bath towels to larger bath sheets, so you can expect those on your next visit! We would hate for your canine companion to miss out on the adventure, so Skiddaw Skies welcomes bookings with one small dog (the pet fee is £15). We hope your dog enjoyed the property (especially the fantastic nearby parks and walks!), the few rules that are in place just mean we can keep Skiddaw Skies looking lovely for the enjoyment of all guests. We hope to see you all again soon.

The location and views were outstanding. The property was maintained and cleaned to a high standard. We very much enjoyed the decor, ambiance and beautiful paintings and photographs throughout the property. We were extremely comfortable throughout our stay.
There are 6 levels: the ground level entrance hall, family bathroom, kitchen and living room, roof terrace, two bedrooms and the top small bedroom with spectacular views. Each level separated by a small flight of stairs. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the living room had many quality books and games for all ages.
The roof terrace was excellent for breakfast, and drinks and relaxation day and evening.
The property provided us with a unique and very enjoyable holiday experience

What a stunning property in a fantastic location. The property is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a week or so away.
The balcony at the rear is a massive bonus and we used it a lot, both in the morning and evening, with views across Latrigg and Skiddaw. In fact there are views from the front across to Catbells due to its elevated position.
The only point you need to be aware of is the steps, there are a number of stairs to and in the property but as long as you are able this shouldn’t be a problem and the quality of the property far outweighs this.
We have already booked again for next year!

Skiddaw Skies offers comfortable and pleasant accommodation but there are a lot of steps! There are spectacular views from the living room and main bedroom. All rooms are well equipped. The fantastic location between Main Street and Fitz Park offers an excellent starting point for many walks in the area: Cat Bells (via the launch), round the Lake, Latrigg, Skiddaw etc. We enjoyed eating out at Fellpack, The Round and Lake Road Brunch. We had lovely weather but knew that we could have visited the town museum, the pencil museum and the Puzzling Place had it been damp.

Lovely views, but lots of steps to get to the property and bedrooms. Nice and spacious property. Could do with additional parking, as only has one parking space for 6 people.

We had a wonderful time at Skiddaw Skies, the photos almost don't do the house justice.
Our 1 year old had lots of fun playing in the bath and with the toys that were kindly provided, and having a high chair and cot provided was ideal.
The kitchen and living room were so comfy and well kitted out and the double bed was enormous! Such a convenient for walking into town too, we had a great holiday, thank you!

Great property for location and views.
Very clean and comfortable but would have liked to have known how the accommodation was arranged over split floors and stairs between.
Good kitchen with almost everything you would need to self cater. Have suggested they include sundries such as kitchen towel, foil and cling film. Basic welcome pack was very basic.

This property is excellent .The views are superb .It is very central to Keswick .
The lovely roll top bath soothes aching body and legs .
The kitchen has every appliance you need .
The King size bed was so comfy
Excellent enjoyable stay .
We will return

The location is great, so convenient for the buses, the lake and the town centre. A very comfortable apartment with amazing views and very well appointed. This was our second stay and we will be back.

The property is located right in the centre of town. Huge property with 3 large bedrooms. Nicely decorated with comfy beds and sofas. Well equipped kitchen with a lovely terrace out the back. Loved the little extras like kids games and books. Fantastic find and highly recommend.

This converted upper part of a victorian house was comfortably and tastefully furnished, was clean and well set up for three couples with a dog wanting to make the most of walking trips directly from Keswick. We didn't need the car at all.
The kitchen is well equipped (we self catered). Despite the howling winds the house stayed warm.
The top floor bedroom wouldn't suit really tall people but that wasn't a problem for us.
The house is really close to town and parking just outside - second car up the street.
We'd definitely stay again.
