We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Tithe Cottage. Yes the property is small, but it's cosy and provided all the comforts we needed. The location is perfect, only a 2-3 minute walk to the main square. With a CoOp over the road opposite, you don't need to use the car at all if you're not intending to venture out of Keswick.
Only word of caution (which we had read about) is the parking spaces. The space directly outside the front door is really only big enough for the smallest of cars. There is an overflow car park behind which is bigger, but access under the arch is very tight.

All in all though, we had a brilliant weekend with lots of hiking, pub visits and chatting with friendly strangers. See you again soon!

Located in central Keswick, it is only a short stroll to the town centre. In our description of the cottage we do state that access to the parking is narrow but there is a visitors space behind if you do struggle shared between 3 properties on a first come first served. Tithe Cottage was a comfortable cottage for the single traveller, as rooms were small, but definitely adequate. The kitchen contained all I required. The bed was comfortable, as was the sitting room furniture. The small tablet contained the information necessary to operate the equipment within the cottage, eg washing machine and hot water unit. The only real criticism is that the allocated parking space is really too small for anything but the smallest car. The location is excellent; a short walk to Keswick’s central district, with a variety of restaurants/pubs/cafes available and the Co-Op over the road for shopping.

Good location - suffering maybe from end of season blues. Air fresheners empty and cleanliness not brilliant. Definitely needs more of a warning for larger car owners!

Great location! Very nice inside. Good communication.

Washer/dryer was very slow and tight fit. Bed is a bit hard.

Had a wonderful holiday at Tithe Cottage, Keswick. Excellent location close to the Main Street of Keswick for all amenities, wonderful Pub food with Dogs welcome. The Cottage was very clean, warm & cosy. Well equipped facilities---thought of everything. Welcome packs was a bonus. We hope to return to Tithe Cottage in the near future with our 2 dogs (west highland terriers) Millie & Daisy.

Compact and highly convenient! Our Labrador was very happy and so were we. The location was great for shops and the lake and parking was a bonus. We used the spa passes and enjoyed Underscar very much!

Very comfortable accommodation. Contains all the facilities you need. Clean and tidy. Great location for shops, pubs, etc. A couple of minutes from bus station. However, very small and some people might find it a bit cramped. My wife and I found it was comfortable enough for us [+ dog.] Parking is very tight, but, as advertised, there is an overflow area for parking through arch in courtyard. The travelling directions are for coming into Keswick for bypass north of town, on road to Braithwaite. If you come into Keswick from Ambleside road the Co-op is on the RIGHT.

Lovely cottage, we have been here 9 times in the last 11 years. Great location, compact but cosy, and very clean. Excellent location and very dog friendly!

Compact cottage close to the town centre. Across the road from the Coop, catering was easy. The cottage is pretty small, especially the bathroom and bedroom, which has a double rather than king size bed. The stand out feature for us was the pass for the UnderSkiddaw spa. Great swimming pool where you could swim lengths uninterrupted with sauna, steam room etc. Perfect for a winter break.

Third stay here. Love the location with town centre and food shops on the doorstep.
Really nice to have access to Oxley's spa after a day on the hills.
Car parking very convenient - need to use overflow space if car is bigger than VW Golf.

Really enjoyed my stay for Christmas 2022. Nice thoughtful touches on arrival, complimentary gift and fizz appreciated but even better was the effort on decorations which made it feel like a home from home. Excellent communication regarding the stay and friendly and helpful team on hand for queries.
Cottage is small but very well laid out and has very good facilities. Exactly as photos and description. The washer-dryer was a useful additional feature and a godsend after muddy lakeland hikes.
Location was perfect. Central with the main town supermarket and bus station 1 minute's walk away and the town centre just 2 minutes walk. Perfect if like me you don't have a car.
If I were to nitpick...a dog bed would have been useful and better lighting is needed in the bathroom especially in the shower area.
Overall, an excellent place and would not only recommend but am planning to stay again.

Compact cottage perfect for a couple and dog. Perfect location.
Parking space is too small for an estate car, however there is an additional parking space through the archway into a much larger parking area.

Tucked behind the Main Street but not on the road (so very quiet) it’s a great bolthole for one couple, dog friendly, secure. Parking is tight but free which is a bonus and the spa is nice - and also free and about 5mins away

We had an amazing time for a few nights. Everything is catered for and all essentials plus more have been thought about. The cleaning team left everything immaculate. Location is central and a perfect base for local amenities and exploring. As noted up front the parking space is very tight, which is the only pit fall.

We had a 3 night mid-week stay at Tithe Cottage.
A small but perfectly comfortable and practical accommodation, everything you need if you want to cook yourself.
The location is spot on, for Keswick centre and walking to the lake.
The cottage could benefit from having a hair dryer (or I couldn't find it) and the parking space is small and awkward to get into, but neither of which would stop us returning.

We stayed the last week in June. The location is perfect we could have not used the car for a week had we not wanted to go out and about a couple of days. Comfy and clean and equipped with everything you need. An excellent week with excellent weather!

We found tithe cottage easily, Ideally placed for the town and festival park. Lovely cottage with everything we needed. The only small issue is the parking spaces are small. Luckily our car is also small. Fantastic week but for some reason my legs are tired now. Would difinately recommend.

Tithe Cottage was an excellent base for our long week-end break in Keswick. The great location in the heart of the town meant we could leave the car and walk where we wanted to get to, or use the local bus service. The cottage was warm and clean, and provided everything we needed. We made use of the complimentary spa passes for the Spa at Underscar, which added to our week-end experiences and was part of the attraction for booking this cottage.
We would definitely book a return visit.
