We had a wonderful week at Apartment 1. It was beautifully presented and it is extremely warm and cosy. It has everything that you could want for a break in Keswick and the location and parking are fantastic.

My wife and I have visited Keswick annually for over 30 years: we have stayed in hotels, boarding houses and self-catering properties. Bridge House Apartment 1 is the most comfortable and best appointed property we have stayed at, and we would not hesitate to book again. Noise from the main road and some difficulties with phone and WiFi reception were the only downsides: neither was serious and neither could have been affected by Keswick Cottages.

Back in Keswick for our annual pilgrimage! Another great family holiday. Granddaughter (4) and grandson (12, non-verbal, autistic) thoroughly enjoy the regular visit, trips on the boats, lake and parks only about 10 minutes walk away. Property is excellent, good parking, and garden has a trampoline and swings which are well used. Some rain, but nothing like what was expected, and it doesn't keep us in anyway! Provisionally booked for 2025!

Stayed in Bridge 1 this summer. We know the complex well, having stayed in the Cottage, the Mews and apartment 3 before.
This is a great complex with secure garden for the dogs and off road parking, a real find for central Keswick. I would say that apartment 1 will not be for everyone due to it being ground floor and next to pavement / main road. It wasn’t an issue for us, but I can imagine it might be for some.
The secure bike shed is a plus. The garden furniture in the courtyard is plentiful; enough for everyone to have some nice al fresco dining. You are just a few minutes walk from Booths; very handy.
The apartment was clean but I think it would probably benefit from a really thorough clean through every now and again. We had an issue with the smoke alarm, response was good, if a little chaotic; all got happily sorted in the end.
The courtyard and gardens are communal, so much of your enjoyment rests with the behaviour of your fellow residents during the week you are there but, in general, we’ve always found people to be courteous and friendly.
We enjoy staying here very much. The team at Keswick Cottages are always super helpful.

Ideal for a family of 6 and a dog. Handy for shops. Half mile to the lakeside. Comfy beds. Lighting is too dim for elderly readers like me, and the Settees are rather saggy too.

Family and our 2 dogs had a wonderful week in apartment 1. Plenty room for everyone. Can't fault apartment everything new and clean .Car park parking right at door , if walking about Keswick no need to take car as centre and lake so close. Garden perfect suntrap for sitting out , enclosed so fine to let dogs out safely last thing at night.

The apartment and grounds were outstanding. The sound of the banging grate every time a vehicle passed was very annoying so we used the back bedroom plus the grate was annoying when sat in the lovely garden. The bathroom light only stayed on for 40 seconds and the creaking floorboards in the above appartment could do with attention.

This ground floor property has everything you need for a family break with a dog!
The layout of the living kitchen is super sociable and the bedrooms are super comfortable with large beds in all 3.
Having a corridor and 2 utility areas meant walking things and dog things could be out of the way! A secure large garden meant early mornings and late night dog runs were easy. Very accessible for the town centre! Our 4th visit to this complex!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Bridge House Apartment 1. The property is spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. Parking is excellent and the large enclosed garden area was fully explored by our dog, Cassie. The underfloor heating meant the property was always cosy and homely. The central location makes this the perfect property if you are visiting Keswick.

A family holiday (3 generations plus a dog) at Bridge House Apartment 1 for the second time - the accommodation there suits us so well and the boys love the garden. It is so handy for popping into Keswick and the shops could hardly be nearer - it's like having a very large larder! The apartment is well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean and has very comfortable beds. The bus station is close by, it's a short walk to the lake and lots of choice for going out for a meal. We look forward to our third visit!

This was the second time we hired this apartment we found it last year and loved it .it is perfect for location on the high street and lots of walks . This was our first stay at Bridge House Apartment 1. We had a really comfortable stay. We have 4 children under 9 years old and it was a perfect base for all of us. The children really enjoyed playing in the garden and on the swings, slides and trampoline. They also loved playing on the tennis court. Our 15 year old dog was very at home and made good use of the garden. The garden is enclosed but there is also a gate on entry to the apartments that could be left open by other guests, which would mean it's not entirely secure for little ones or dogs. Even though the garden and courtyard are a shared space for all guests, there were plenty of moments when it felt like we had it all to ourselves. Our daughter has some mobility issues, so renewed seating within the tennis court would've been very beneficial. The current benches aren't suitable to sit on and are even quite badly broken. Better to have none than to keep them in that condition. The condition of the outdoor area needs to match up to the condition of the indoor area. Otherwise, it feels a bit neglected. The tennis court was an important part of our holiday for the children. The apartment itself was stunning and felt very homely. It's all on one level and there is a ramp on the courtyard to get up to the property. There is still a step to gain entry to the apartment but a mobile ramp may be able to be fitted to gain access if in a wheelchair. The doorways seem wide and it is mostly open plan making it quite accessible. The towels and linen were all lovely and fresh. Just one complaint regarding the rubber bathmat. It was very dirty on the underside and it was rolled up in a mesh bag hanging on the back of the bathroom door. When I unrolled it, I was surprised to see how dirty it was, especially when the rest of the property was really so clean. Washing machine and drying facilities are available which is helpful when you have little ones. A shoe rack would be handy and make it tidier where you enter the property when there are lots of pairs of shoes. I'm big on recycling and was very disappointed to find there's no facility onsite to recycle glass, tins and plastics. There's information provided telling you where you can take your recycling on another street somewhere but when you are on holiday and in an area you dont know with a big family it's not that straight forward. Our plastics ended up in the bin and that made me cringe! The baby swing as seen on website photos was removed from the garden. This was a shame for us because we have a 2 year old that was looking forward to using it. The slide needed to be repaired as it was detached from the wood at the top. I did report that at the end of our holiday so I hope that will be sorted now. The apartment allows easy access to town, shops, supermarket and parks. Over-all we had a great time staying in Keswick, and the apartment made our stay all the more enjoyable. We are keen to return next year. Thank you

Stayed in August 23. the weather was a bit mixed but typical for the Lake District. Second time we have stayed at Apartment 1 and we will stay again, its just got so much going for it - great location, on site parking in the centre of Keswick, really comfortable and well equipped and spotlessly clean (we booked for an early arrival and the cleaners must have worked really hard to get the apartment ready, thank you so much)

Keswick Cottages are an excellent company to use, we had a small problem during our stay and it was solved straight away, great customer service, definitely recommend this agent for bookings in Keswick

Thoroughly enjoyed again what has become an annual pilgrimage to Keswick. We've stayed in this apartment many times now, it's close to the town centre, supermarkets, and just 10 minutes walk to the lake or park. The apartment is very well appointed, the garden is secure and the grandkids love the trampoline! We bring 2 cars, so 2 parking spots are a real plus. Keswick itself is still a lovely town, and although there are still some staff shortages in hospitality venues, it seems to have improved on last year. And the weather was much better than earlier forecasts had suggested - not that that would have stopped us getting out to enjoy the wonderful countryside!

Thee are two minor gripes. The lounge lighting is too dim for me and my wife to read comfortably at night because The green lampshades are too dark. Secondly, the tennis court is getting overgrown and has sharp brambles that can injure people especially children.



Enjoyed our stay as usual it being our 3rd stay in Apt.1 at Bridge House.

The apartment is very good and convenient for walking into the centre. It is spacious and clean and the kitchen has plenty of storage space.

Lovely spacious property. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Some niggles such as loose or missing door hooks but otherwise lovely. We found a dog toy under the couch and kept finding remnants of Christmas tree tinsel but I guess the cleaners only have limited time to turn over. The bed linen and towels were clean. Excellent location with parking

Another lovely stay in this apartment. Fabulous facilities and really well equipped. Everything is on the doorstep so hardly used the car once we’d arrived. Minor problem with a leaking pipe but quickly sorted. Underfloor heating takes a little getting used to but once we’d worked it out very snug despite chilly weather. Thank you for a brilliant Christmas!!

We have stayed here several times and we love it. Spacious, luxurious and comfortable. There were 6 of us and 2 dogs this visit but we didn't feel cramped at all. Beautifully clean, top knotch as always.

My wife and I stayed at Bridge House apartment 1 with her elderly parents and her sister, we stayed here because its on the ground floor and had 1 bedroom which was en-suite which was ideal for her parents. The apartment was very clean and very modern, loved staying here, only 1 downside which I could see was that if the weather had been bad the entrance via the kitchen living room has no cloakroom for muddy boots or wet coats, there is a laundry room but it's through the kitchen living room in the passage way. I would definitely stay here again, very comfortable apartment.

Nice apartment near the centre of Keswick, so handy for shops, pubs etc. The apartment is finished to a very high standard and was very pleasant to stay in. Being on the ground floor beside a busy road, there was some traffic noise, but not too bad. Unfortunately during our stay, there were roadworks going on directly outside, so very noisy, but just bad luck really.

We rented this with the Bridge House next door for 6 couples. All lovely coming in. We'll equipped and comfortable. Great location with parking for 2 cars.

We love it in Bridge cottage & it is so convenient to the shops but set back in lovely surroundings. Just one thing is that the settee was too low for my husband to getup from. It is fine for the younger members of our family.My husband’s brother & family were in Bridge Cottage so it was a lovely family re- union which we hope to repeat next year. We were in Apartment 1 which is really lovely.

Another good week in Keswick with family (son, daughter, grandkids), weather much better than forecast earlier! Apartment in great location, just a few minutes from shops / supermarket / bus station, 10 minutes from lake. Garden secure and great for kids, with play equipment and trampoline. Grandson is non-verbal autistic, but loves the outdoors, so he was (mostly!) happy for the week, with events such as the open top bus to Seatoller, Keswick Launch etc. Apartment well appointed, only slight downside were the limited recycling receptacles. A minor problem with the en suite bathroom was resolved very promptly by Keswick Cottages. Keswick itself is a lovely town, but almost every hospitality and retail outlet were looking for staff, and one or two venues currently not serving food or (hopefully temporarily) closed. We're booked again for next year, though!

There are a couple of weakness, one is that the lounge lighting is not bright enough for elderly visitors to read by, and in hot weather it’s difficult to get air through because too many windows have been gummed up with paint.

Came for half term week with my daughter,husband and two children. Lovely bedrooms each with en-suite and tv’s. Bedrooms spacious and comfortable beds with lovely crisp bed linen. Towels provided. Nice sized sitting room with dining table and kitchen at one end. Utility room with washer etc. Outside there is a decent sized lawn area with slide and trampoline and picnic tables. Tennis court is adjacent to this. We have stayed in all three apartments over the last few years and have been more than happy. Perfect place to stay. Just park your car and forget about it. Walks from Bridge House are numerous and varied suitable for all ages, and there are a number of cycle routes. Shops and supermarkets are just a stones throw from Bridge House. All in all a well appointed appartment which I would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely ground floor accommodation in central Keswick so near to Hope Park, lake and shops & restaurants. Open plan kitchen and lounge, 3 great bedrooms and all mod cons. Only down side is busy road and once inside no views to see out however a lovely sunny shared seating area at back plus parking.

Extremely comfortable, spacious, well maintained apartment. Dogs and Grandson loved the garden. The apartment is in a great location for all local amenities and is conveniently near the bus station and local supermarket. On arrival, we had an issue with the television but this was rectified the same day. Cannot fault Keswick cottages - this is our 3rd time booking accommodation with them and it certainly will not be our last. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

This is a very good property for those wishing to base themselves close to all amenities. Local to supermarkets, bus station, town centre and pubs.
Lots of walks can be started from this property without the need of going close to any roads other than the first 100 metres.

A few minor details are:-
Broadband weak and stopped working, reported to the agent who couldn't do anything while we were there.
No trays/holders for soaps/shampoo in the showers which is a disadvantage to the older people.
An array of towels per room but only one bath towel to share between 2 people.

All in all a very clean apartment, well decorated and accessible to all amenities.
