This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Bridge House Apartment 2. It really is an excellent base for Keswick, being just a few minutes walk to the town centre. Very clean, tidy and spacious apartment. We'll be back again soon.

Onsite parking for 2 cars which is very convenient
Well presented apartment all you need for a short stay. Excellent size bedrooms, one with on suite
Modern design with open plan living area. Great for couples, families or a group like us.

A great apartment in a good location within Keswick, well equipped and maintained.

Can be noisy from inconsiderate traffic on a night, (boy racers with big exhausts)

We always enjoy our stay at whichever property we choose in this complex. It is an ideal location with the advantage that the main shop (Booths) is a 2-minute walk away.

We come back every year so there is no better reccommendation

My family very much enjoyed our week in beautiful Keswick staying at the Bridge House apartment 2. The apartment was clean, comfortable and very well equipped with the added bonus of two parking spaces.
The location is wonderful for accessing all that Keswick has to offer and there are 2 supermarkets within a couple of minutes for any necessary shopping.
There is some road noise, audible from the apartment but the convenience and comfort of the apartment, with it's proximity to shops, restaurants and activities far outweigh the rumble of some cars.
Keswick Cottages have been a delight to deal with and are very responsive to queries. I would recommend others to use their services and would certainly book with them again.

This property provided a wonderful base for our family for our annual visit to Keswick. We have stayed at many self-catering properties in the town and this proved to be the best so far, though also cost more than we usually pay.
Parking is incredibly easy and accessible. Two sets of keys and a key box make for flexible coming and going.
The property is on the first floor, but even our two year old and a member of the party on crutches were able to manage the stairs readily.
Our first impressions were of a "boutique hotel" with the added bonus of a well equipped kitchen. The only issue was with the upper oven/grill not working, which we reported, and managed with the lower oven.
The bedrooms are spacious, no bashing your knees against wooden bed frames here.
The convenience of being on the road, so close to the Keswick Convention, supermarkets and everything else, was only detracted from by the noise of the bin lorry at a very early hour, twice during the week, and some general traffic noise, which was to be expected.
The peaceful garden and play equipment were well used by us. The sun shone for the whole week (unheard of) so we could even dry washing outside.
Unlike many properties, there is a utility room with a drying rack and tumble drier, so even on wet weeks you could keep on top of your laundry, should you wish. Advise take your own washing powder, paper towels, cling film, foil, extra dishwasher tabs (some provided), hand towel for the kitchen and tablespoons for serving food.
All in all, a great find. We have already booked for next year, which is the highest accolade we could give.

As per a previous review, the mattress in the en-suite room is tired and requires replacement. This was our third stay so we like this apartment. That doesn’t make it perfect. The shutters on one of the windows in the en-suite room have had no latch for the last three visits. The three piece suite in the living room is old and uncomfortable.

Otherwise, the flat is ideally placed and very comfortable



Nice stay but a few short falls.

Location was exactly what we wanted, right on the edge of Keswick. Sadly the noise that came from the road was something we were not used to and the flat was not well protected from it. I bought ear plugs as you could hear people's conversations that were walking along the pavement, double glazing not up to standard to block out the noise. The remote control in the main bedroom was really manky. Also in the same room the mattress was past its best, which led to an uncomfortable sleep. There is a unpleasant smell in the ensuite toilet like stale water. Customer service was somewhat frustrating. Paid the balance and got an email the following week saying I hadn't paid and had 3 days to save my booking. Emailed them to change 3 person booking to 4 and that was dealt with easily and well which was good. The house was comfortable enough, wasn't left enough dish washer tablets for the whole week and had a full car so didn't want to buy a big bag to take home, would have been good to get more. Buzzer didn't work to let folk in the front door so had to go downstairs to let them in.

Bridge House Apartment 2 proved to be an excellent choice for a 3 generation family holiday. Very central for Keswick town centre, but surprisinging quiet. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Plenty of outside space for children to run off energy. Close to 2 supermarkets, and the bus station. We hardly moved the cars all week. Beautiful views of the fells. All in all, a brilliant holiday.

Great location, easy access, very central to town centre.
Good facilities, comfy lounge and kitchen area, nice decor throughout, very clean
Good size bedrooms (all 3)
Everything you need really for a short break
Would use again as nothing really to fault ……….
My only gripe is for the money paid (£533 / 3 nights) I would expect more than 1 toilet roll in the bathroom.

We booked bridge house apartment 2 for the family as we also booked apartment 1 we love these apartments it was the first time the whole family came and we loved it . The apartment is so roomy and modern and is like a home from home the apartment is beautiful inside and could not wish for better outside there is a huge garden for the children which they loved and is situated on the high street we’re everything is located thank you Keswick cottages for making this the best holiday ever.will definitely be coming back.

We stayed in this apartment previously and had no hesitation in re-booking for our annual visit to the Keswick Convention and are booked again for next year. The apartment is well presented, lounge is comfortable and the cleanliness is excellent. Keswick Cottages answer their phones with people which is very welcome indeed and are responsive and helpful. The apartment was as spacious and well furnished as the pictures suggested and spotlessly clean. The details didn't mention the outside space with tables and seating on a terrace area as well as a garden with play area for children. As we had great weather this was a real bonus.

The apartment is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It is situated on a main road, so there is some road noise, but this didn't disturb our sleep. It was generally clean and well maintained, apart from the hob and the extractor fan grid. One of the duvets was too heavy and, after contacting the Keswick Cottages office, it was changed for a lighter one that same day. The laundry room was warm and equipped with hooks for coats, which was very welcome when it was raining. It was lovely to have the picnic tables in the courtyard for when the weather was fine. We would book it again.

Lovely apartment . Great location. Nice outdoor space. Perfect for a family group. Slight drawback . Because the property is so old , the floorboards creak badly which kept waking our 3 year old grandsons up as the people upstairs walked around. Unfortunately they’re not great sleepers , unlike some kids who can sleep soundly through any noise. Other than that great.

We had a fabulous week at the apartment and can not fault it. Everything has been thought about and it feels like a home from home. The accommodation was spotless, the beds were comfy and the parking and outside space was an added bonus. We would definitely return. Fantastic base for a holiday.

We have enjoyed an annual family February half term break in Keswick for many years and we book through Keswick Cottages as we value their personal and very professional service. This time changes in accommodation had to be made due to unforeseen circumstances but it was handled in the usual exemplary manner and we enjoyed another wonderful break in spite of the extreme weather conditions that week.
Apartment 2, Bridge House, is in a excellent location, close to Keswick centre. The apartment is of a high standard and met all our needs. Our grandchildren also enjoyed the use of the tennis court and outside space. We have stayed in this apartment before so were prepared for the occasional noise of passing traffic on the adjoining road at night, which didn’t bother us personally .

This is our third visit to this apartment. Lovely and comfortable, well equiped with nice views and Keswick Cottages and owners extremely nice to deal with. Really handy for walking into Keswick and surrounding areas.
