Built in 1880, this traditional Lakeland cottage retains many original features and has fabulous views of Skiddaw and Latrigg to the front.

Nicely equipped cottage in centre of Keswick right near the CoOp. In good condition and nice and clean. Well equipped but could do with a few more mugs etc. Lovely character to it and would book again.

Parking is in the long stay car parks nearby or at Lakeside. Also a short stay across the road for an hour which was worth the £1.50 when we were popping in and out again. Also Booths have an hour free parking round the corner.

Kingfisher fish and chips were excellent, Rookin’ house equestrian was great for a 2h hack for our 16yo, otherwise the fells were lovely as ever.

Another great yearly visit to Keswick and Coleridge Cottage which is very well located. Coleridge is also ideal for groups as downstairs the lounge/dining area is all open plan

We had a lovely week stay at Coleridge cottage. It is ideally situated, being a short stroll into Keswick town centre. Unloading the cars with our belongings took about 10 minutes, shuttling it across from the carpark, directly opposite. The road is quite busy, but there is a pedestrian crossing, roughly 50m from the cottage, making it a safe process. The cottage itself was very clean and well equipped and we took advantage of using the log burner on a couple of occasions, which was nice. Plenty of room in the
Kitchen, which was also well equiped. I would suggest a vew more glasses/ tumblers, for that nightcap ;) (Brandy, whiskey, Baileys etc) & would also recommend the provision of a First aid kit and possibly a wall mounted rechargable torch, for those late evening, dark dog toilet breaks . We used the grassy areas, directly across the road from this purpose, which was ideal.
All in all, an excellent place to stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

very close to town, tastefully decorated, fabulous service from keswick cottages. A lot of noise behind from Booths getting deliveries at 6.30 in the morning. one improvement I'd suggest would be to remove the frosted film from the window so there is a view and have blinds instead for privacy at night.

Great location - only two minutes walk to Booths supermarket via the footpath on Bridge Terrace. Beds were comfortable & kitchen well equipped with plenty of utensils/pans etc. You will need to take your own salt/pepper/oil/sugar if you are planning on self catering.

We recently stayed at Coleridge cottage and had a wonderful time. The cottage was very clean and had comfy beds. It's location in the heart of Keswick is so convenient for popping round the corner to the supermarket. The kids could walk into town in minutes which also meant quick runs to the bakery in the morning for croissants! The power shower in the bathroom is amazing and we all really appreciated how good the shower was after long days out walking or swimming in the lake. The lounge is nice and large which was good for having friends round. Although it could be a little noisy in the front bedroom overlooking the road at night with people and traffic going past, I would say that the convenience of the location more than compensates for this. I would definitely stay in Coleridge cottage again. I also found the staff at Keswick Cottages really lovely and helpful. The little yard at the back was also great for drying out our washing and overlooks a cute little grassed courtyard. All in all a fab stay.

Just on the edge of town, close to the shops and pubs. Parking a little walk away in town but not a huge issue until it rains!

As ever the stay at the cottage was excellent in our eyes. As usual the property was spick and span with all the necessary items to have an enjoyable stay. The property is within walking distance to the town centre, Booths and Derwentwater, hence why we choose the property yet again for our stay. The only issue that we didn't realise this time, was that the car could not be parked in carpark opposite the house as we could do in the past. This was our error in not reading the full description of the property which did mention the change. We parked in the Central Carpark for the duration of our holiday with no issues.

We have stayed at Coleridge Cottage before but on this visit we were pretty disappointed and will not be booking it again. The lack of adequate parking close to the property is a major draw back especially when unloading and loading gear. Cleanliness of the cottage was not great either, badly stained rugs, discarded sweet wrappers, human hair, corroded cutlery, chipped mugs, old dried food on cutlery and plates. Although disappointing it did ruin our holiday and having stayed with Keswick Cottages before we know this is not their normal standard of delivery but we will not be booking Coleridge again.

Very comfortable cottage. very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Good location and handy for shops, pubs etc bit of a pain not having on site parking and easy access to unload and load luggage.

This was our first stay at Coleridge having previously stayed at Bridge apartments next door which are excellent, the house is lovely and spacious. The yard is not very inviting to sit in as it’s a bit unkempt could do with flowers in the planters as it’s a bit of a sun trap. Our car had to be parked in town as you can’t use the car park opposite the house but you can unload just be careful where you park, when we arrived we quickly emptied the car and where down to a couple of things when a car pulled in and told us to move, the woman then stood watching us as we did this. I did ask the office about loading up again and the lovely lady told me we could back up to the back of the cottage and load up there. It does get busy in the parking area but that first day there was plenty of room and I did explain to the lady that we were going as quick as we could with 2 dogs and our luggage, it did not spoil the wonderful time we had at Coleridge however. We will definitely book with Keswick cottages again the girls are so helpful.

Our stay was lovely but one of the sofas cushions and rugs appeared to be quite dirty the cottage could be lovely but it needs some refurbishment and upgrading !

PROS - so clean, everything you could need there
Lovely having some books and games
Beds are so clean and comfy
Plenty drawers and space for clothes.
Location is AMAZING

CONS - black out blinds would be great in the other 2 rooms
Have to park in public carpark at pencil museum
Could do with an extra toilet roll in each loo!!

We would absolutely return here, fingers crossed for thicker blinds as it just meant the kids were up at the crack of dawn!

Coleridge Cottage looks small on the outside but is remarkably spacious inside. The lounge & dining area has lots of comfortable seating. The kitchen is very well equipped.
Upstairs, the bedrooms are quite large (1 double, 1 twin & 1 single). There is only 1 bathroom but it has a really good shower. The toilet in the utility off the kitchen is very handy when the bathroom is occupied.
The location is superb. It is a very short walk to Booths supermarket and the bus station. Loads of pubs, cafes & outdoor gear shops are within 5 minutes walk.

2nd stay in this lovely house. The location on the very edge of town is perfect for a diverse group , everyone can go out of the front door and do whatever they want then meet up later for a meal at the massive dining table. Great to get a parking permit as we hardly used the car.

We had a lovely stay at Coleridge Cottage which was spacious and well equipped. The cottage is in an excellent location for both the town centre and there’s lots of fabulous walks within easy reach; the woods, lakeshore, Fitz park and the village of Portinscale which we and our dogs really enjoyed. Having a permit for the car park opposite the property was very useful with plenty of spaces available.

Great central location in Keswick with great views from almost every window in the house.
Parking wasn’t an issue in the car park across the road and the car seemed safe.
The bike shed had enough space for 2 bikes anymore we think would be a squeeze. The house had all equipment we needed for the stay and was very warm and cosy. We had an issue with the fire alarm but it was quickly sorted by the hosts. Would definitely stay again.

The cottage is ideally placed on the main road, with a short walk to the local shops and walks. The accommodation is very cosy, with plenty of seating.
Bedrooms and bathroom on first floor were warm and cosy, with plenty of towels and hot water after a day out on the fells.
Kitchen and equipment ideal for basic cooking, with plenty of takeaway options within an easy walk.
Our dog was quite happy too!
Parking permit was provided for one car in the Rawnsley Car park opposite. Second car was £40 for one week in same carpark, which can be booked digitally.
Keswick Cottages were very helpful in responding to any queries.
We would return to this property.

Great location and lovely cottage.
Darker blinds or curtains would be appreciated in the bedroom. Outdoor space isn’t very inviting. Used to store the bins, but has potential as a lovely outdoor space.
