We had a great week at Fairbank. The cottage was in the perfect location for enjoying everything Keswick has to offer. We enjoyed being next to Fitz Park for early morning dog walks and the view from the main bedroom was stunning. Bedrooms were really nice with very comfortable beds and the kitchen was well equipped. Would have preferred a more comfortable sofa as it was quite small. Had a few problems getting parked in the long stay car parks as Keswick was very busy when we stayed. That said we would happily stay at Fairbank again. We had great service from Keswick Cottages and will definitely be looking to book with them again next year.

This was our 3 visit to this cottage.
Nicely situated right on top of Fitzroy park and a 5 minute stroll into Keswick town centre.
Kitchen is well stocked for anyone wanting to cook.
We didn’t experience any problems with the WiFi.
No parking with this property, however a permit is issued for the long stay car parks .
Would definitely recommend to friends.

This cottage is in a really good situation for a Keswick based stay in the Lake District. The parking permit at the nearby long stay car park works very well, quite frankly you could easily spend a week there without using your car at all. The cottage itself is on the small side, suitable for two adults and two children perhaps, four adults staying at the same time might be a bit challenging. The stairs are steep and narrow with a very tight turn at the top of the stairs. Hand rail support is really well worked out, nevertheless less mobile people might struggle with it. The cottage was clean and tidy on arrival and the kitchen was well equipped. The beds are comfortable though small, mainly because the bedrooms themselves are quite small. Having said all of this, we were a party of two adults and the size and proportions of the property was absolutely fine. The door handle on the inside of the bathroom door was loose - splitting hairs now, as the property has been maintained very well.

We chose the property principally because of the location. Close to central Keswick and with easy access to Fitz Park which is a popular dog friendly park.

The cottage itself exceeded our expectations. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Cannot identify any equipment that was not there.

We are planning to visit again in 2025.

A lovely clean and welcoming cottage in a fantastic location, with car parking just a stroll away.
Great to have a front and rear garden to sit out and enjoy the views of the park. Everything you needed was in the cottage, so we are looking forward to another stay. Would recommend 100 %

This cottage was in a great location bordering the beautiful and interesting Fitz park and easy to get to Keswick town centre. It was very well appointed and exceptionally clean and warm on our arrival. Appreciated this!

This was our third stay at Fairbank. Yet again it didn't disappoint. The cottage is very welcoming, warm and provides a well stocked kitchen if you choose to cook. With the added bonus of the dishwasher. I cannot think of any negatives and would definitely recommend Fairbank to anyone who wishes to visit the Lake District. Ideal location for walking, car used once during our stay, as the bus didn't go to Buttermere. A parking permit is provided with the car being parked about a minute away for the cottage.
Also thank you to Keswick Cottages as booking through them is so easy and communication prior to arrival excellent.
Hopefully we will be back at Fairbank for a fourth time fairly soon

Great little cottage, good location, perfect for dog owners, it’s a two bed cottage but a bit small for 4 adults, better for a small family, lovely and cosy well equipped everything you need, looks out over Fitz park with access from the front of the cottage, no parking but a permit is issued for Otley Rd car park which is only round the corner you can also use it in the long stay and lakeside car parks, very handy when busy. A perfect little cottage.

The cottage was lovely and ideal location for us being two seconds from Fitz park with the dog. Easy access to fells like skiddaw and latrigg right outside the door. Would recommend and will be back again soon

Beautiful cottage with small front and back garden, it was very clean and had all the facilities you need. The view over Fitz park from the Kitchen was very nice. Could not fault the cottage. Left the car in Otley road car park all week which was 2 minute walk after unloading our luggage outside the cottage itself, and you could be in the town center in less than 10 minutes walking. Found the bed was very comfortable. There is games and even jigsaws to do for entertainment. My grandson loved walking in Fitz park every morning taking our Golden retriever for a short walk before starting the day. There was no traffic noise only the sound of the river Greta making it very peaceful. I would not hesitate in booking the cottage again. My only regret is that we had to come home...

Cottage was very welcoming, felt like a home. Kitchen was well equipped. Bedrooms very comfortable, we slept well
Location was superb, just a stones throw from the park and easy walk into town.
Minor issue with heating which was sorted very promptly.
Would most definitely stay at this property again.

Had an excellent stay at fairbank again. Location perfect and car park 2 minutes away and town square 5 minutes. So handy for walking dogs as next to lovely park

This is a lovely cottage in a great location. Ideal for couple or small family group. River is quite loud at front but soon becomes white noise.

We really enjoyed our week at Fairbank. The cottage is in a great position with easy walking distance to the shops etc, and right next to the lovely Fitz Park. We had dogs and I was very pleased with the front and back yard areas as they were totally secure. The cottage provides dog blankets for the sofa. The kitchen was an ideal room for our dogs to sleep.
The area is very quiet and although you can drive along the gravel road to drop off pick up from the cottage, the road got very little passing traffic.
The only slight downside was not being able to park at the cottage and if like us, you arrive on a very busy Saturday afternoon when there is an event happening, parking can be difficult. However apart from that, we found a space in the nearby long stay car park.
Overall it was lovely and I’d recommend the cottage. Staff at Keswick Cottages were also very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds & pillows. 5 minute walk into the town centre.
Cottage right opposite Fitz park which is beautiful & you can hear the river from the bedroom.
5 minute walk through the village to the river Derwentwater through Hope Park which is also beautiful.
Plenty of pubs, bars & coffee shops. Permit for car park which was just a couple of minutes from cottage. We didn't use the car as everything you need is on the doorstep. Our dog also had a great time in the parks & everywhere is dog friendly.
We will definitely be booking again.

Very cosy cottage, well situated for dog walking in Fitz Park, shopping, eating and drinking. If anything the heating was too efficient, despite the mixed weather we had to turn off several radiators, not a bad complaint. Twin room very comfortable, double could be improved by moving around some furniture and installing a queen size bed instead of the current double. No shortage of hot water. Enclosed front and back gardens great for the dogs, no need for integral car parking (would only be big enough for a small car) as a permit is provided for the nearby long-stay car park, 3 minute walk.

We stayed in Fairbank on a Monday to Friday in March. The cottage is excellently located, particularly if you are bringing dogs as it overlooks Fitz park and can be accessed without a lead if you trust your dog, or like to walk into the centre of Keswick regularly.
It ticks our boxes on all levels. On a wet week with full occupancy and a dog it might be a bit tight round the dinner table, but there was just the 2 of us and 2 pooches so all good. Parking in the car park behind the launderette was easy and loading and unloading into the property was fine .
We will look forward to staying again. Keswick Cottages are easy and reliable to book with.

Fairbank was great for a weekend away with another couple and our dog. The house location was brilliant as we could access the park so easily for dog walks and only a few minutes to the town, for bars and restaurants.
We would definitely stay here again, the team at Keswick Cottages were helpful and really quick at responding to emails. We look forward to booking another break away in the Lake District with Keswick Cottages.

Lovely, centrally located property. Perfect location for Keswick and dog owners with park opposite and enclosed areas front and back of property. Lovely views from kitchen and master bedroom. Car park ( permit was provided) minutes walk away. Fairbank was immaculately clean and really prompt replies for any queries. We have used Keswick Cottages several times and always found them helpful and friendly. Many thanks

A fantastic cottage, The cottage has all the comforts needed to ensure the stay is a happy one. The cottage was really clean and tidy and its in a great location, just by Fitz Park, which is perfect for the dogs as well as the owners!

Highly recommend and would love to stay there again, if available!

We enjoyed a great week here, perfect location for humans and dogs if you have them. Tastefully decorated and well equipped, beds were very comfortable, a definite bonus.

Superb property ideally located in Keswick. Updates before, during and after our visit were precise and the tablet in the cottage very informative without having to leaf through a huge folder. I also found the walking books in the living room helpful.

All mod cons in the property, which was well presented, cosy and with an excellent bathroom. The back garden was also useful. One very minor suggestion - perhaps get some more glasses for those of us who link a pint as there was nothing more than small beaker and perhaps larger wine glasses.

Offers terrific value for money and despite the weather not behaving we enjoyed our time in Keswick and will no doubt be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fairbank Cottage, managed by Keswick Cottages. Superb location next to the park which Charlie our labradoodle loved! Really comfortable cottage, beautifully presented and very handy for walking into town, only minutes away. Everything we needed for a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend.

This was the perfect cottage for us, we've stopped in a lot of dog friendly cottages and you can tell dogs have been in there, you can't with the Fairbanks, it was spotlessly clean.

The location is ideal, in a quiet road with a bridge over to the park a stones throw away, the town is a 2 minute walk.

We will be returning.

Fairbank Cottage is ideally situated for a holiday in Keswick, with shops and bus station just a 5 minute walk away. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and full of nice details. The only things missing were somewhere to hang wet towels in the bathroom and some provision for shedding (and drying) wet and muddy walking gear!

Lovely cottage in an excellent location. Very clean and well prepared on arrival, good range of equipment. Convenient parking in nearby car park. Could do with a mat inside kitchen at back door especially after wet, muddy walks. Also we found the duvets too warm for May.

Beautiful little cottage, in the most amazing location. Just perfect to be able to walk our elderly cocker spaniel over the bridge to the park, & stroll into Keswick too.
The cottage was clean & everything nice & new. Parking is fine in the nearby street or the little car park for which a parking permit is issued if required.
We would definitely return, thank you for a lovely stay.

I didn’t originally book this property but stayed here after complications with our own booking. I wish we’d booked this in the first intance, it’s a lovely property! Tastefully decorated to a high standard and very well equipped. The situation is perfect for those with a dog as you literally step outside walk over the bridge and you’re in Fitz Park. Although there is no on-site parking please don’t let this put you off. There is vehicular access for loading/unloading but the parking is quite literally a minutes walk round the corner.
All in all it’s a warm, cozy and comfortable cottage with all mod cons and a brilliant location. Definitely one to recommend

This was the perfect place for our stay at the Lakes!
The location was ideal to explore by foot and we really enjoyed the coziness of the cottage with a lovely kitchen overlooking the River.

Fairbank is a great cottage in a perfect location that is so peaceful yet so close to the town, it was perfect for the dog being able to walk him straight into the park from the front door without a lead.
The wifi was excellent and everything worked perfectly.
