Excellent in all respects - very comfortable ( especially the bed!) and absolutely immaculate when we arrived. High quality towels and bed linen and good internet connection. Very well equipped - difficult to think of anything which wasn't provided and the service in dealing with a couple of problems, which were nobody's fault, could not have been more prompt - someone came out on Sunday evening to attend to a heating problem. Ideal setting, being only a few minutes from one of the best supermarkets in the country, Booths, and from the bus station. Perhaps marginally more expensive than an equivalent apartment we've used, but that one gave a two person discount, so comparisons are not really relevant. Anyway, we've already booked it again for next year! The only minor drawback I can see, although as there are only two of us it doesn't really apply, is that four people might struggle to sit round the dining- table! Looking forward already to our next stay.

We have stayed here many times, the apartment has always been warm, comfortable, well presented and in a great location. The only reason for a couple of 4's in the review is: we think that the same sofa has been in place for quite some time and is becoming uncomfortable; and the apartment has an increasing number of scuff marks so seems ready for some re-decoration.

We have stayed a this apartment a few times and it is very comfortable beautifully maintained. Having the small outside space with table and chairs is great.

Well decorated/maintained apartment with its own spacious parking space and within walking distance to the bus station and Booths supermaket. Very quiet bearing in mind how close it was to everything. Really comfortable bed/lounge area, kitchen a little small but with all facilities including welcome pack of tea/milk/biscuits and washing pack. Outside seating area quite small and had wooden table/chairs which were hard to keep dry so suggest changing to plastic.Great for watching the birds feeding on the wall so take some bird seed. We even had a male and two female partridges visit us within 3ft of where we were sitting inside the lounge. We would definately stay here again.

Excellent. Very convenient for supermarket and buses. Great views. Luxury to have 2 bathrooms. Hot water pressure to main bath low so needs adjusting. One light bulb in hallway flickered so we removed it and left a note. Perhaps spares could be left. Beds very comfortable but pillows all too soft; maybe a few firmer pillows would be good so people could choose. These are not criticisms, just possible slight improvements. We truly enjoyed it. Thank you.

We’ve stayed in Greta Bank many times before. We return as it is in a great location for local amenities and for walking. If you feed the birds, there are lots of pheasants, ducks, small garden birds and a tiny bank vole. The flat is warm, clean and comfortable. The allocated parking has improved since last time we were here! There was a small issue with the boiler, which Keswick Cottages resolved within the hour…great service.

A lovely flat in a lovely town. We’ll be back.

The apartment is in a great location with easy access to all amenities and very well equipped. There were 2 major issues on our visit as the boiler had to be condemned and wasn’t fixed before we left making the property cold. Also the settees are very uncomfortable. Keswick cottages responded well to our complaints and brought 2 heaters but 1 didn’t work. We were unfortunate in that during our stay the weather was very cold and wet most days.

We have stayed in Keswick Cottages properties many many times and in Greta Bank several times. All good. However the seating in the lounge is now a bit dated and not very comfortable, especially for older customers. The light over the sink in the en suite does not work. We did report this a couple of visits ago.

Greta Bank is in a good quiet central location,you can park and not drive for your whole break.It is clean,well presented and has all you might require.The one quibble is the electric en-suite shower though functional could really do with upgrading to provide some power. We have enjoyed two stays and hope to return, which in itself is recommendation. It is always a pleasure to deal with Keswick Cottages.

Greta Bank is a wonderful apartment situated between the river Greta and Booths supermarket an ideal position for all amenities required for a stay in the beautiful Lake District. Excellent car parking facilities for all vehicles including larger 4 x 4’s. The property is well appointed warm, comfortable and very well equipped with all one needs for your stay. Keswick Cottages are a very caring local company who are very helpful should you need their attention. We have been visiting the Lake District for forty years and we have always found Keswick Cottages to be the best.

We have stayed in this property a number of times. One of its many advantages is the private parking space and the ease of access to shops and public transport. The kitchen, and indeed the whole property is well equipped and well maintained. If there are any problems the staff are very helpful.
A useful addition this year were the booster cushions. Very handy for anyone with hip or knee problems.

Really nice flat which can accommodate 4 adults. Fully equipped kitchen and appliances. Couple of things need to be addressed such as broken kitchen tap, main bedroom blinds and window locks.

We, two old people and our middle-aged son, enjoyed staying in Greta Bank for a week very much. The sitting room was especially delightful - the decor pleasing and the view from the window of the birds in the garden superb. Our beds were very comfortable. We liked the new tablet in the hall that gave us greetings and messages as appropriate.
Location was excellent. It was good being able to look out at countryside while also being able to walk to Booths supermarket in just a few minutes and into Keswick centre too in a short time.

Comfortable roomy ground floor flat really close to Booths, and handy for Keswick centre and the lake, but in a quiet development. Convenient parking space close to the flat. We visited in a heat wave, and the flat was beautifully cool.
Loved the little patio with wildlife visiting for food and water, including pheasants, ducks, chaffinches and blackbirds. Had to watch out for bird muck though!
Very comfy bed, and good facilities in the kitchen. 2 lovely shower/bath rooms.
We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent apartment, close to all Keswick amenities yet situated in a quiet secluded location, that is well equipped and very comfortable. Would certainly recommend to others and also book again for our own holiday.
Only one, very minor, issue - the bird feeder in the apartment above, seed dropped to patio...this attracted field mice onto patio. Possibly unavoidable in the countryside and as mentioned, only a minor issue.
Also, to note. Sarah, as always, was very helpful in extending our holiday by several days. She's a pleasure to deal with.

A great little apartment in a really convenient location. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best during this particular stay, but Greta Bank provided a cosy backdrop to sit out the rain. Just a note about Keswick Cottages too - I always book with them and we've stayed in a number of different locations across Keswick over the years. We've always had first class accommodation and they have provided excellent customer service.

We spent a week at Greta Bank towards the end of March and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this immaculately presented apartment. It is quietly situated away from the busy centre of Keswick, but shops, restaurants and cafes can be found within a few minutes' walk. We enjoyed feeding the pheasants outside the patio window and watching their antics as they fought for a place at the table. Being a ground floor apartment, it is ideal for older holidaymakers and has everything you could possibly need, including extremely comfortable beds. Keswick Cottages have always served us well in the properties we have booked through them, and were on hand should we have any concerns. Looking forward to staying in Greta Bank next year!

Quiet apartment tucked away and feels quite private but also very close to town. Well appointed, warm and comfortable with convenient private parking for one car. (Parking for extra cars relies on public car parks and they are expensive - worth exploring a monthly pass if you need an extra space for more than 2 days).

Lovely ground floor apartment just 5 minutes walk from Keswick centre with parking for one car. Kitchen well equipped, comfortable beds and very clean. Perhaps only downside was the fact that the two sofas in the lounge were low and not very comfortable. That apart however would recommend as a base for four people.

the accommodation was excellent apart from one niggling thing. The expelair in the bathroom was far too noisy and carried on for far too long after the light had been switched off. Everything else - perfect.

We have stayed here a number of times and really love the property and its location. The visiting wildlife are a real plus, the birds even let you hand feed them. The beds are so comfortable too, and the whole place is really well equipped.

This was a great place to stay for a week. The flat was well furnished and the beds warm and comfortable, and to have two bathrooms, with one en suite ,was very helpful.
The lounge was well furnished although for older guests, the sofas were a bit low and slouchy! The dining table worked well, as did the television, and the French doors gave good ventilation. We had good entertainment with a half grown seagull chick pecking at the door every day for a week!
, The kitchen worked well and was very functional.It was good to have a dishwasher and washer/dryer.
To have a designated parking place was very helpful.

Comfortable modern ground-floor flat in quiet part of central Keswick with parking space and a small patio.
Well-equipped kitchen.
Very handy for Booths and Co-Op.

Property well cleaned and comrtable. Great location for Town Centre. The only negatives were dirty patio furniture, maybe easier to clean furniture is needed and also the system for obtaining keys is confusing as there are different key boxes which wasn't made clear on emails received.

A great ground-floor apartment in an ideal location close to the town centre but not overlooked. We stayed with my elderly mum and were very comfortable. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. Looks out towards the river (and the new premier inn altho building work was not intrusive) and only overlooked by local wildlife. We were visited by a family of pheasants, a hedgehog and numerous birds.
The apartment was immaculate. We would definitely pay a return visit.

Knowing Keswick well, we realised that the location of Greta Bank would be ideal - and it certainly was. We even bought some bird seed to feed the pheasants on the terrace. It was comfortable, well presented and warm. We had an elderly mother with us and she too was very pleased. The welcome packs were a great to find and the information tablet a very useful innovation. Although we never actually met any member of Keswick Cottages, office or cleaner, we felt we had been cared for. Thank you very much.

Our stay was very comfortable and the property was as we expected from the description. When we arrived there was a problem with the shower head but after phoning up the problem was resolved a few hours later which was very impressive.

Greta Bank is situated conveniently for walks, shopping, and travel. A bright, very clean home, comfortable beds. One bonus is the variety of birds outside the back. Would go back again.

Lovely apartment that is very spacious with great parking. Very close to town so good location. Tiny, but very nice terrace garden. Well appointed with quality bed linen and towels etc. You can hear neighbours above during the day but never a problem at night as it sounded like a small child. The TV was frustrating to use, I think the WiFi just kept cutting so was difficult to reconnect to a programme that kept getting cut off. Simple instructions for the washing machine and dishwasher would be really helpful.
