This was our second stay at Gretaside and I have to say that the weather blessed us yet again ! The central location was very suitable to us as we have a dog, just around the corner from the park for morning and evening walks.
Everything in the apartment was clean and little extra's left for us in the new updated kitchen was very welcome.

Very central position. Added bonus was parking outside property. Flat is quite small but adequate for a short break as a couple with small dog.
Only real gripe we were unable to use one wardrobe as vacuum cleaner was stored in wardrobe.

Great location for a mini break away. Very short walk to town centre for shops, pubs/restaurants etc. amazing proximity to the lake, short drive if you would like to tackle Scafell Pike. Nice size apartment on second floor for two people and a dog

A fantastic week’s stay again at Gretaside Apartment in Keswick. The apartment was spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable — it felt like a real home-from-home. The bed was especially comfy after long days walking, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches and a well-stocked kitchen.

The location is ideal — just a short walk into the centre of Keswick, but in a quiet and peaceful spot with beautiful views of the surrounding fells. We had no problem with parking, and it was a great base for exploring the Lake District.

Communication with the host was excellent — everything was clear and easy from booking to check-in.

Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a cosy, convenient place to stay in Keswick.

The booking process was easy. The info provided by Keswick Cottages regarding location, parking and key entry was all clear and easy to understand.

The Gretaside accommodation was clean and well presented and everything in it was a high standard. The welcome pack and dog treats were a lovely touch. Its a very central property but also nice and quiet, only the sound of the river babbling away in the background.

I'd happily book with Keswick Cottages again or recommend to friends.

The apartment was great , small but ideal for 2 and a dog . It was very clean and the welcome packs were much appreciated . The location was superb , central and not far from the beautiful park. The fact it had a parking space was very useful too.
We wouid definitely recommend Keswick cottages as a booking agent , the digital guidebook and their customer service was excellent , we would definitely book via them again .

We had a short but very enjoyable stay in this excellent accommodation. Keswick was amazing and we also explored Ambleside and took the boat down Windermere to Bowness. On the two brief occasions I spoke to staff they were professional, proficient and very personable and, need I say it, helpful. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Apartment was expected to be compact but photos were cleverly taken to give the impression of more space. However, it was in a clean condition.

Bedroom had a narrow wardrobe either side of the bed, the left hand one was half filled with a vacuum cleaner! No room really to swing a cat.

Kitchen was new and cleverly laid out to make the most of the limited space.

Lounge had a round dining table which was taking up space and blocked access to the limited electric sockets.

Bathroom was fine but the water pressure a bit low from the electric shower.

Walls were thin and noise and voices can be heard from neighbouring apartments.

Main issue experienced was some type of humming extractor type noise coming from ceiling area above kitchen and bathroom. This was reported to Keswick Cottages on our second day as the noise was severely disrupting sleep.

The owner has just had the kitchen fully refurbished. Gretaside was a new to me accommodation as I usually stay in regular self catering apartments. As an ex self catering owner always have a critical eye, needn’t have worried.
An absolutely lovely comfortable apartment with everything you need. Clean and modern and an absolutely lovely view of the river and fells beyond from the bedroom, really comfortable bed. Great location with parking two mins walk into town centre.

We had a fabulous few days at Gretaside the weather was hot and sunny the whole stay.
The apartment was comfortable, quiet and well equipped, a stones throw from the centre of Keswick and the location near to the park was a bonus for us as we have a dog.
A small cosy apartment suitable for a couple and dog.
We would be happy to stay here again.

The dog and I had a very pleasant stay in the flat that is on the top floor. This overlooks the river and Fitz park, great for walking the dog first thing and last thing at night. It was lovely and peaceful and very handy for the town and Derwent Water.
The shower is not very powerful but otherwise but otherwise everything else is very comfortable.

It was our first time in the Lake District and we wanted to be based in Keswick, we chose this apartment for location and it did not disappoint it was clean and comfortable and had a welcome pack on arrival which was lovely.

Lovely apartment in a great location. Warm and clean. Everything needed, included. The only grumble was the shower. It was a poor pressure and kept going hot and cold. We realise it runs off the electric, but that is the only thing I would change.

This is a very comfortable apartment situated in a great location, very convenient for the town centre yet tucked away in a quiet corner overlooking the river. It's quite small but fine for a couple. Got a good night's sleep as it was so quiet and peaceful. Nice to be able to go out and walk along by the river.

Small but very nice 1 bedroom apartment. Bedroom is a bit cramped for two, but overflow can go in the living room! Bed is quite firm, but good. Kitchen is well appointed and functional. When turning on shower use a firm pull on the switch cord.

The apartment was excellent. Very clean and comfortable and the location for the town was great as just a few minutes walk. Also, we have a dog and the location of Fitz Park (behind the apartment) was great and again only a few minutes walk.

2nd time of staying here, a small but comfortable flat, dog friendly and a parking space for the car. The view out of the bedroom window over the river and Fitz park is fantastic. Ideal for 2 people who do not need a lot of room and fairly fit as it is on the top floor. It is clean and well equipped. Very close to the town Center and amenities. We love it and hopefully will stay again sometime soon.

Gretaside is in a marvellous location, we parked up and didn't use the car again as everything is accessible by foot. The apartment is smaller than it appears on the pictures, but it is very well appointed and so clean and tidy, for 2 people and a dog, it was perfect.
The only criticism we had is that we found the bed to be very uncomfortable, it is very hard, and by the second day my back was painful, so much so that we decided not to stay on our third night and drove home earlier than planned. The mattress is extremely firm and hard, and it didn't suit us at all, it spoiled what would have been the perfect stay.

The apartment is in a fantastic location adjacent to Fitz Park and also the town centre. This made the holiday! It is actually much smaller than it looks on the photos but is well appointed. Two floors up but that didn’t bother us. Although dog friendly, it was completely carpeted apart from the tiny kitchen which is not ideal for a dog friendly place in the Lake District in February. Consequently we thought the living room carpet seemed a bit grubby. Hard floors would be much more appropriate. The bed was a bit hard for us but that is personal taste. We would stay there again.

Gretaside is a lovely little apartment with parking in central Keswick. It’s homely, warm and very well situated. It’s lovely to hear the sound of the river whilst drifting off to sleep. We had a great weekend here and would highly recommend both the property and Keswick Cottages.

The accommodation has an excellent location (close to Keswick centre and Fitz Park). It is in excellent condition and is well maintained. It has its’ own parking space. The wifi and tv are very good. Possible drawbacks for some are that it is on the third floor and so is reached by an outside staircase. It does not have either a dishwasher or a washing machine and there is no hanging space for wet clothes but it is compact accommodation so what do you expect? If I was staying in Keswick for less than a week then it certainly represents excellent value for money and we would certainly be prepared to stay there again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in November.
The location is excellent, central to Keswick, with excellent private parking included.
The property is small but big enough for our needs. And is well decorated throughout.
It was very clean and well looked after and I look forward to staying here again in the future as long as they don’t increase their prices. Would defiantly recommend to any couple looking for a small convenient place to stay in Keswick.
The place we stayed was on the second floor so would not suit anyone who maybe couldn’t manage two flights of stairs.

Compact and bijou but with everything we needed for our 4 night stay in Keswick :-)
A cosy space for the two of us with the space put creatively to use. The apartment is in a lovely quiet location with parking and a short walk from the town.
Great views from the bedroom over Fitz Park to Latrigg Fell and the River Greta bubbling away soothingly underneath our bedroom window was just lovely.

The apartment met our needs perfectly. It was in a great location and we enjoyed exploring Keswick and the surrounding area. The kitchen is small if you’re planning on cooking but it didn’t concern me as I refuse to cook on holiday! It was good to have parking in the town although we didn’t use the car once we’d arrived. Would definitely book again.

We stayed for a week at Gretaside. A lovely little apartment for two and our dog. The bedroom is very small however, the space has been put to good use to ensure wardrobe and drawer space. Excellent location - we only used the car once during our stay as we were able to walk everyday from the apartment. Nice to have Fitz Park on the doorstep for early morning dog walks. It would be nice to have a bench or seats outside like the adjacent apartment does - we were envious of their ability to catch the sun whilst enjoying a drink!

This is a tiny flat which has been creatively photographed to be rented out. The flat is reasonably comfortable but the bed is flanked by two wardrobes which gives a “hemmed in” feeling. The rest of the flat is “small but perfectly formed” and couldn’t be faulted for location.

Wonderful bolt-hole for two ..
Central, free parking, clean, comfy bed, welcome pack..

The relaxing sound of the gurgling river Greta spoiled by the bathroom fan that couldn't be stopped..

The only control over the heating was to switch it off - the two thermostats couldn't be adjusted..

Cumbria is not to be rushed.
Having spent over 30 years walking in Cumbria, Keswick is our favourite location as a base. Not only is there a wonderful theatre putting on superb productions, there are also plenty of local walks and is central for an amazing bus services, if required, to many parts of the fells for walks further afield.
But our greatest joy must be the local folk. Well worth taking the time to stop and chat and you'll learn so much more than any guide book or map could possibly impart.
Add to this the convenience of access to local facilities when required and you'll have a perfect holiday, irrespective of weather.

Had a 4 day break in this very cosy and comfortable apartment. It was small but perfect for the two of us and our golden retriever. The view out of the bedroom window overlooks Fitz park and the mountains beyond. There seemed o be plenty of drawer space and hanging space in the wardrobes. Could not fault this apartment in anyway, ideal size for the two of us and will look to stay there again

This was a lovely place to stay and very clean. It's v central to everything and very close to the Greta and Fitz Park (which provides the view out of the window). It's compact but very comfy with and well-equipped kitchen (it's small but has everything). Good communication with Keswick Cottages.

Cosy apartment right on the bank of river Greta which was lovely to hear at night going to sleep.
Apartment was clean and although on the smaller side, there was nothing lacking. Bathroom was particularly nice as looked like it had been done not too long ago.
Really good location as 5 minutes to town centre but it's off a main road so it's quiet and peaceful.
It was up 3 flights of stairs which meant there was a lovely view out both front and back windows as it overlooked Fitz park and some beautiful neighbouring gardens.
Would reccomend this property to anyone.

The apartment is ideal for a stay in the Keswick area. It's only 5 minutes walk into town or to the park,15 minutes walk to the lake , it's in a quiet area with beautiful views from the bedroom window . This second floor property, though small can comfortably accommodate two people. It is comfortable, well equipped with everything in good condition. The compact size means that there is not a lot of storage and drying wet clothes or equipment would be difficult. The onsite parking is a bonus as the apartment is very convenient for the centre of Keswick.

The appartement is tiny but comfortable with a very practical kitchen. River Greta flowing below the bedroom windows makes you sleep well.

If you like fell walking you will have trouble storing your gear, especially when it is raining and your gear is soaking wet.

Overall we had a pleasant stay, with town centre and other shops nearby. Don’t forget to take a stroll through Fitz Park.
