3 nights booked in Isabel cottage. The booking process was easy to follow and communication up to the stay was clear and plentiful. Excellent location in centre of the town. Cottage is clean, comfortable and warm with all facilities for self catering. We didn't use the cooking appliances but the instructions didn't look easy to follow as previous reviews however, there are plenty of choices on the doorstep for eating out. Vehicle access to the cottage is narrow so would advise only small/medium cars attempt it. We parked at the nearby long stay car park for the duration at £20 which is good value and arranged by Keswick cottages.
Our first stay booking with Keswick and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage.
Definitely recommended.

My first, very enjoyable visit to Keswick. The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and with everything I needed for my week’s stay. The great shower was really appreciated after a long day in the hills. I had a problem with the washing machine, (my fault), and someone came round from Keswick Cottages immediately to help. I took note of the parking description and yes, the narrow alley entrance was a challenge but manageable. The cottage is in a perfect location and once parked the car stayed there for a week. I walked out every day or used the excellent and very cheap bus service. I would definitely make a return visit.

Isabel Cottage is in a great location, worth paying the additional fee for a parking permit as parking outside the cottage could be very difficult. The cottage was very clean, modern and comfortable. Could benefit from additional larger drawer storage in the bedroom. But other than that perfect.

Well positioned and appointed cottage. Sofa could be a little more comfortable. Oven could be more user friendly! Parking a nightmare if more than a few cars are present and you’ve managed to dodge all the bins in the forecourt, but otherwise fab stay. Excellent location for central Keswick and rest of lakes.

Nice place that needs some work. Paint chipped all over, dog hair in the rug and on furniture, shower didn't work (someone came out to fix it, but the head was blocked/damaged and didn't work properly)
Rug near entrance was dangerous as it kept coming up and I tripped several times.
The living room could do with a net curtain to protect privacy.
Bedroom could do with curtains for over the blinds as they let too much light through the gaps and it was hard to sleep.
Parking was an absolute nightmare.

Liked the place, but it needs some attention.
The Thai restaurant across the way constantly had shouting/yelling coming from the kitchen which could be heard long into the night - double glazing?

We sincerely appreciate your feedback and suggestions, which have been sent to the property owner. It is so upsetting to learn that there were some shortcomings during your stay. Please know we are a small local agency located just around the corner, we would have been happy to help had these points been brought to our attention during your holiday. Please be assured we have made the cleaner aware and carried out some additional training. The owner has organised a decorator to freshen up the paintwork. This is done at least once per year. We do mention in our description of the cottage that entry to the parking is down a narrow alley which is best suited to a small -medium size car, but there is plenty of unrestricted on-street parking close by or there are permit options for the nearby long stay car parks. We of course hope you still had a wonderful time exploring Keswick and the beautiful Lake District.

A charming cottage with all the facilities needed for a comfortable week long stay. The immediate view from the front is not so enticing but look to the mountains beyond and you’ll know why you’re there.
Couldn’t connect to internet but not a big problem for us. Lovely restaurant and pub options nearby and buses very cheap to use. Didn’t bring the car as had already read about the restricted access to parking. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice cottage in an ideal location in Keswick. You do need to be a confident driver with a small-to-medium sized car to use the parking space and not feel somewhat stressed but we found it fine. The cottage is well equipped with modern fittings and was very comfortable. Very easy access to good restaurants and pubs.

What a lovely well appointed cottage in a central location.
The cottage looks like it was recently refurbished with a new kitchen.
Bathroom lovely and the shower is fantastic although the controls of the shower are a bit hard to use.
Bedroom has the largest bed I have ever slept in almost didn’t know my wife was with me in there.

Tv in living room is good and has Netflix etc . I had to reset the router to get the WiFi working and the smart tv in the bedroom would not link to the WiFi - lovely large screen in the bedroom though . WiFi issues could be to do with the broadband router being located behind the tv in the living room which may interfere with the signals .

The settee in the living room isn’t the most comfortable especially for two people and could do with changing to make this cottage perfect.

We had a small issue with ants in the kitchen on the first few days but this was addressed straight away for us.

Altogether a great stay in a lovely cottage and very central location - greggs was just over the road for early morning breakfast butties before our daily hikes .

I recommend this for a couple or to stay on your own .

Isabel cottage is in an ideal location right in the centre of Keswick. The cottage was very clean on arrival. The whole cottage is of a high standard for a holiday rental with the kitchen containing all you need.

The bedroom is very comfortable and the super-king bed great. The shower room again was a very high standard.

The cottage was lovely and warm and the log burner was enjoyed on an evening.

The only small negatives were the sofa is not very comfortable and we thought the sitting room could be improved with 2 comfy armchairs instead.

As other reviewers have mentioned the alleyway to the car parking space is very narrow, with a couple of doorsteps sticking out into it. It was easier to negotiate with the passenger getting out the car giving directions.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay with 2 adults and a dog. We will definitely try and book it again if returning to Keswick.

Perfect location for what we wanted. The cottage was very comfortable with a decent spec. We wanted to ark up and just explore the Keswick surroundings. Two small gripes: the alleyway leading in the courtyard was horrendous, we got in ok but really struggled to get back out. I'd advise to park elsewhere. Also the cooker wasn't easy to work. However once we realised it was still in showroom mode, it wasn't too bad. The staff came out to help,very promptly but we sorted ourselves.

Top location in secluded courtyard.
Main town at easy access.
Warm and comfortable throughout. Great facilities to hand.
Lovely bedroom with top spec shower and bathroom.great use of space in living room kitchen.

lovely cottage, very well equipped, warm and super clean. No problems parking, we have a Polo, but the street down to the cottage is narrow. Only downside was a bit of noise from the local pub on Friday evening. Would love to stay here again.

Really enjoyed our weeks stay at Isobel cottage.
Fitted out to a high standard in a great location.
Too many Pros to mention, only slight Con was the Wi-Fi dipping in and out but really not an issue for us.
Please take note of earlier reviews about the narrow lane to the cottage, just managed to get my MG ZS in and left it there all week. Still don’t know how I managed to get it out without scraping it.
Also when leaving the lane there’s no left turn as it’s a one way street.
We’ll be back!

This is a lovely/cosy cottage in a great central location.
Getting to the car parking space is quite tight down a narrow lane but achievable
We had an issue with the kettle leaking, but this was resolved immediately after a quick phone call to Keswick cottages.

Great location for exploring Keswick and the lovely restaurants and bars. Excellent to have a parking space. The description is very clear and helpful and the route to get in is definitely tight. We have a Skoda Yeti and we just managed but anything bigger might struggle. Very well equipped and very lovely comfortable bed and great shower.

Last minute break way I gorgeous Keswick. We booked isibel cottage it was everything we need right in the town centre down a alley which is tight if you have a big variety but we managed it in thr range rover . Isobel cottage has living room kitchen down stairs comfy and well equipped. Lovely large king size bed with a walk in shower perfect for the 2 of us . There I'd a bench under thr front wi Dow to sit outside and chat with your neighbours Packhorse cout is across the way with lively bars resturants great please to stay

A lovely well presented and well equipped cottage. Well appointed kitchen and beautiful bedroom and en-suite. Cosy, clean and comfortable. Close to everything we needed for another wonderful stay in Keswick. My only very slight criticism would be that the sofa isn’t the most comfortable (especially when you come back from a long walk/hike), a footstool may help with providing some extra comfort rather than changing the sofa. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we would definitely return to Isabel Cottage.

Annual meet up with friends in Keswick. Great central location in Banks Place. Narrow alley way to cottage and parking but clear on booking site and we had a small car so no problem. Easy details re entry. Accommodation lovely. Large kitchen diner sitting room downstairs with big en-suite bedroom upstairs. Stayed in similar cottage layout before and advantage here was en-suite bathroom . Saved going out onto narrow landing at top of steep stairs to access bathroom. Very comfy bed, great walk in shower. No toiletries unfortunately otherwise worked well. Everything you needed in kitchen. Coffee machine but no pods to start you off till you got to supermarket but again not a huge problem.
The cottage was wonderfully central which was a huge asset. Will hopefully stay there again next year when we know dates of the meet up!

Great little cottage perfect for us as the location is in the centre of town and so near to the walks we love.

Booked the cottage as we had previously stayed before and was aware that the location is great
Good comes with Keswick cottages as we had to report an issue with the TV that they were unaware off
The cottage is just big enough for two, great bed and shower
All in all very happy

If says there is parking, there isn't anything specifically allocated to you so nothing to prevent it discourage others from using it. The narrow alley is a nightmare to drive down.

There is bar across from you which plays loud music into the night. We managed to block out most of it with a white noise machine but you could still hear the bass over it. There are slat blinds in the bedroom which don't block all the light so will wake you, and I imagine would be particularly bad in the summer.

Sofa is uncomfortable and like something you'd find in a waiting room, making relaxing downstairs difficult.

We were very happy with the place. Could have provided some small toiletries as we would have thought there would have been some provided so didn't bring any.
Great location although the lane is a little off putting to drive down.
Very clean and tidy and had obviously just been refurbished because it looked great!!
Everything we could have needed if we stopped longer.
Could definitely do with some black out curtains.. the bedroom was lit up all night because of the bar across and coming into lighter mornings that could affect sleep.
Great stay would defo stop again

Lovely property, ideally located for the centre of Keswick. Parking can be tight with a bigger car. The sofa lets the property down as it was not comfortable, but everything else was lovely! Thanks for a great stay!

The cottage was lovely and cosy, everything you would need for a holiday and very central to the town.
The only downside is the parking at the property, you have to drive down a narrow alley and if you have a large car it is very tight, as I found out, damaging the side of my car to the tune of £1,500.
Because of the parking we would not return.

Isabel cottage us ideally located and immaculate inside. Only slight criticism is the two seater settee is not very comfortable on an evening.
Entrance to and from the cottage will challenge your driving skills as very narrow alleyway to the property. Advise you to ensure you turn and park facing the alley to make leaving much easier.
Fantastic location for town and local pubs. Close to the lake for a great walk and breathtaking views of the hills. Everything you need is supplied.

A delightful little cottage that is well placed in Keswick..The only downfall is the very narrow alley you have to drive down to get to cottage, unless you have a small car I would recommend getting a parking permit. Aside from this we had a lovely stay at Isabel Cottage.

Our only problem was lack of communication regarding the car parking which was resolved. Don’t judge the cottage by the exterior - once inside it was excellent.

Isabel Cottage is a beautifully appointed 1 bed cottage located on a small no-through road a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Keswick. The cottage has everything you need to enjoy a short break away and its proximity to shops and restaurants is ideal....right in the centre of things but tucked away in a small courtyard area so very quiet at night. The staff at Keswick cottages were very helpful, dealing with any enquiries I had straight away. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and hope to stay there again soon.

This is a lovely little cottage, right in the very centre of town. Ideal spot for people watching and not too noisy given its central location. The lane to the cottage is very narrow and I didn't risk it with my Qashqai, however alternative parking was given. The cottage is well equipped and spacious and very close to everything.

The cottage was tidy and comfortable with the exception of the sofa. I would rate the stay 5 for location but cottage itsself 3/4 as we could only log onto the Samsung tablet until the second day which enabled us to check in and have a quick look at what's to do in the area then it didn't work again. Also both TVs downstairs and up did not work, screen just distorted maybe due to signal, satellite looked like wasn't properly connected.
Staff were lovely very helpful and friendly, would still recommend.

The cottage was clean and tastefully presented. Lots of small extras in the kitchen area. The access by car is very narrow but that had been explained and public parking nearby was available.

Isabel Cottage has everything you will need for a stay in Keswick. It is right in the heart of the town. The lane to access the property is quite narrow but this is all explained in the information. The owners have thought of everything right down to a little pack with teatowels scourer etc. We ate out all the time but you will want for nothing if you prefer to cook for yourself. The whole house is a little dream home away from home from an extra large comfy bed to a great walk in shower. Just book it, you will not be disappointed

A very good place for a break, unfortunately the parking is very restricted for vehicles bigger than a small family car.
