This was my first visit to Quaver Cottage and it won't be my last. The cottage is lovely and spotlessly clean, Everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is in a brilliant location, 5 mins walk to the main street but still very quiet. I have stayed in lots of self catering accommodation over the years and this has got to be one of the best. We were even lucky with the weather for this time of year. Will definately be back.

Great location close to the town centre, the supermarket and the bus station whilst being quiet and peaceful. As ever with Keswick Cottages managed properties the cottage is very well equipped, immaculately clean and with nice arrival packs that help to enhance the stay.

The property is very central and very close to shops ,restaurants and bars . Overall a well kept property but felt the living area could do with being freshened up . It was very dark . The kitchen and all utilities provided were excellent . The bed was comfortable but again we felt it could be doing with lick of paint . Bathroom was good . I would say the carpets throughout needed a good clean as well . For the amount charged for the property I would have expected a higher standard . However ,we had a great time and these were only a few things that could be easily resolved

Excellent location few minutes walk to Keswick Centre but situated in a very quiet location. French windows overlook a peaceful garden with stream and mountains beyond. Great to watch visiting birds and wildlife. A 5 minute walk to beautiful Derwentwater, Great to have your own private parking space.

Two comfortable bedrooms well equipped Kitchen and comfortable lounge, will highly recommend.

great location, like home from home, everything you need is in the cottage , your own parking space which is bonus in Keswick .Supermarket 5 mins walk , bus stop to various places next to booths supermarket. plenty great places to eat and drink .Our third stay here and have booked again for next year already .

Despite terrible weather, we enjoyed a week at this cottage. It was in a convenient location, just a short walk to the town centre and the lake.
The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped with central heating to dry out after the rain!
Nice green space outside with lots of birds including a pheasant.

The cottage was in the ideal place for us in the middle of Keswick but also feeling quiet and private. All we needed was provided and everything worked well. It was clean and comfortable and we would happily stay there again.

We had a super week in this well equipped and comfortable cottage sat in a quiet riverside location but only 5-10 minute walk from the town centre. Lots of walks can be accessed without the need to use the car. Car parking space a real bonus and Booths supermarket just at the end of the car park. We definitely recommend and would stay here again if we came back to Keswick.

Another excellent stay with Keswick Cottages at Quaver Cottage. Having stayed elsewhere in Keswick this ticks every box for us. Comfortable and well equipped for our small family. A few minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and lake. A really easy and convenient parking space (unlike others I’ve encountered in Keswick!)…and now that I’ve got an EV, located right by the chargers in Booths car park (and can see when they’re available from the window). Booked again for next year.

We’ve stayed here about 6 times now and it’s a great little cottage in an ideal location. Lovely to see the pheasants, ducks and robins in the garden. Beautifully clean and warm when we arrived. Keswick cottages has outstanding customer service and fixed the issue with the missing internet cable within 30 minutes! Thank you again!

Comfortable cottage in a quiet location, yet very handy for town and supermarket! A well equipped kitchen, and books, magazines and games for a rainy day. Only criticism is that (like most holiday cottages) there is a need for SIMPLE instructions for appliances. Downloads of installation manuals are no good - what is needed is a one sheet idiot's guide. e.g. cooker quite hard to understand, and gave up on radio in kitchen.
Bathroom a bit awkward because of fixed shower screen: you needed arms like a gorilla to reach bathroom taps before getting in!!

This was our second time staying at Quaver. Cottage is in a great location close to the Main Street but very quiet. Great having a dedicated parking space and cottage itself is clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

We have stayed at Quaver Cottage on 3 occasions. It is well situated for Keswick shops and Booth's supermarket. Also near to the bus station for getting around the area. There is a parking space for each cottage and also a small number of 'guest' parking spaces for visitors. The cottage is well furnished and clean. The rooms are modest in size but adequate and cosy. The location is quiet with no traffic noise even though it is walking distance to Keswick Centre. I would recommend this property for a holiday stay.

We've stayed in Quaver Cottage for 15 years while attending the Keswick Convention and have enjoyed our stay.
The cottage is well appointed and very well maintained as well as being centrally located.
Now even more convenient with the Convention being based in the Pencil Factory.

Quaver Cottage is a well-equipped home, including the kitchen facilities that we have stayed at multiple times. The beds are very comfortable. The cottage well-cleaned and all the basics and some extras are covered. The birdlife is fantastic. We found it great for 2 of us to stay and occasionally 3 but 4 plus a baby was a bit cramped. The support of the Keswick Cottages means that any little problem can be swiftly addressed.

Good location for elderly as only short walk to all facilities so did not use our car for 2week stay.
Bath/shower was difficult to get into for older people - support handle on wall was not reachable for shorter person from out of bath.
Everything needed was provided in the cottage.
Help, when needed, was rapidly available from Keswick Cottages

A cosy cottage that we found clean and comfortable for our stay in keswick. Its location meant we didn’t have to use the car so much and Booths supermarket is just around the corner for bits and bobs. We are already planning our next stay.
Oh…be aware that on opening the living room curtains in the morning you will find Phil the pheasant (and sometimes his wife) and Henny the duck waiting for breakfast… :o)

The house is well situated for shopping and restaurants, parking was easy and directions very clear. We especially enjoyed watching the pheasants in the garden! Great location and very quiet with still being within walking distance of main high street, lake and main supermarket. Cottage itself was clean and had everything we needed. Great to have an allocated parking space. Lovely views of the fells to the rear of the property. Would definitely book to stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay there. It was really close to supermarkets, pubs and shops. It has nearly everything you need. We stayed for a week over Christmas so also had some Christmas decorations which was a nice touch.

Another great stay at Quaver Cottage.
Furnishings and equipment first class, with all home comforts.
Introduction of welcome packs and towels was a pleasant surprise and a really useful tablet acting as a one stop shop on the property, equipment and local services.
There is also an area at the rear of the property providing opportunity to view the local bird life.

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage which is comfortable and well equipped. It is in a quiet location and is ideal for shops and buses. We found on arrival that in addition to our allocated parking space, there were a few spaces for guests that could be accessed with a key in the kitchen. Although we had enquired about parking before arrival, we had not been told about this facility which is useful to know.

great location , 5 minutes from all shops , pubs , restaurants but in a quiet location . quaver cottage like home from home . It had everything we needed . loved the ducks and pheasants which visited every day .

Given proximity to town center, supermarkets, and bus service, this is a great location if you don't have a car or don't want to use it during your stay. Very quiet neighborhood. Clean apartment, well-equipped kitchen, everything in good working order, comfortable living room, good lighting throughout. Living room/dining area best if just 2 people. Space and clothing/luggage storage are limited in bedroom #2 but would be ok for young children.

Cottage is tucked away in a quiet part of Keswick but only 5 minutes walk into town, It is furnished to a high standard with good quality linen and kitchen appliances. The king size bed has a very good mattress. Everything was spotlessly clean. Definitely book a again.

Loved our stay. Very handy in relation to the other two cottages i rented for the family. Right next door to the major food shopping supermarket in town. The only concern was the shower which was difficult to control , in fact impossible to control if used on high.
It was either too hot or too cold! It had to be used in eco mode.

The cottage is in an excellent location and is well equipped. Partridges frequently visit the shared garden.

Quaver cottage is situated in a perfect location, five min walk into centre of keswick Allocated Car parking comes with the cottage. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay in the lake district.

Stayed at quaver cottage in Keswick for a week..
Absolutely in a great position for Keswick town as only 2 minute safe walk..
Very peaceful with parking outside the door..
You could quite simply park up and not use your car for the week..
As bus station to all parts of the lakes within 5 minutes..
Would stay again.

Usually go in our caravan but we got cancelled 2 days before. So made a last minute booking. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Quaver Cottage, everything you could possibly need & more. First actual house we’ve stayed in with our dog & he was really relaxed, with only one woof all the 3 days we were there (saw a pheasant through the patio doors) Perfectly placed for a short walk into the town & easy access to many other hill & lake walks without needing your car at all, ours stayed put in the allocated space throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend staying there. Our stay was November 2021.
