Lovely location with fab views. Less than 5 mins into town centre.
Parking spot which we just left car in for the time we were there. Excellent facilities and equipment. We tended to go out walking during the day and ate in at night. Easy to prepare and cook what we had brought.
Netflix kept us entertained.
So warm and cosy - prob why we didn`t go out in evenings!
Third visit in 2 years and will be back.

The accommodation was overall good if a little small. Quality of facilities was good and location excellent. However there needs to be some honesty on where the parking is situated it is not behind the accommodation exactly and you need to carry your luggage quite a distance from your car to the front door as you cannot park directly outside to unload. Second issue and not one that cannot be resolved so easily is that other tenants in the building do not close / shut the front door on entering or exciting so leading to a security issue. Maybe an agreed sign could be placed by the door reminding people to do this.

Our second time staying at Skiddaw View for a short winter break. It’s the perfect little apartment for a short stay. Really cosy and comfortable, and excellent town centre location. Definitely hope to be back for a third time.

An ideal retreat for two in the centre if Keswick. Immaculately clean and comfortable with the added bonus of a parking space at the rear of the premises. Would and probably will rebook for any future visit to the area

Fantastic stay at Skiddaw view ,ideally situated for the town centre and also for the park for walking dogs.Although small it's beautifully furnished and ideal for 2 people.Bed was really comfortable. Would definitely stay here again .

Skiddaw View is an excellent apartment located within walking distance of the centre of Keswick. Very comfortable for 2 people with everything you could need for a short stay. So nice to have such a big comfortable sofa in an apartment for 2! Parking space waa a bonus too. Couldn't fault a thing apart from the low cloud obscuring the view of Skiddaw!!
Having stayed in numerous places in and around Keswick, this is one we would definitely come back too.

The flat is ideally located just 50m away from the restaurants and shops in Keswick. It is well presented with large settee in the lounge and large tv. The kitchen is small but has everything you need for your stay. The bedroom is large with a comfortable bed and plenty of hanging space. It has a bath and combined shower. All you need for a comfortable stay.

Everything was very nice! The flat is in a great location, and is very comfortable. It's small but worked fine for us. The only problem we ran into was that the bathroom had no plug socket, but otherwise everything was great. The office staff were very nice and let us store our luggage there before check-in. Would definitely recommend

No loo roll on arrival which after a long drive more important than a box of biscuits , flat door not secure enough lots of movement in door when locked , toilet seat loose all little things that can be rectified easily , be aware your deposit won’t be returned when you leave they keep it for 10 days after which I find utterly wrong , that said place is clean tidy good location great for a couples short break right in the centre pubs , restaurants & parks all well within walking & it has a parking space which in Keswick is a god send & I probably would stay there again.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. It's great to hear that the apartment made a convenient base while you explored Keswick. I'm really sorry to learn that we had missed putting some toilet roll in for your arrival, this is something that we would usually provide as part of the welcome provisions to make things easier for our guests before they have had the opportunity to pick up some shopping/unpack. Please be aware we are a small local company, situated on Station Street which is just across the road from Skiddaw View. If we have been made aware that the toilet roll was missing, or that you were having trouble with the door and toilet seat, we would have made sure these points were rectified straight away. The security bond is only pre-authorised to your card to cover for the very rare circumstance of major damage or breakages at the property. It is automatically cancelled off the card 10 days post departure. We do mention this within the booking correspondence, on the website, and within the booking conditions. We had a lovely week staying at Skiddaw View. The flat was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, and in a very handy position close to town.
One possible drawback to note is it is beside a busy (in the summer anyway) and therefore quite noisy road. It won’t bother everyone and even though it did wake me up, overall I liked the flat enough that I would stay there again.
Keswick Cottages need to update their arrival information - you are met with numerous key safes beside the door and the information KC supply to identify the right safe is not correct - the key safe does not have a cover, and is not black (presumably because it no longer has a cover). Also the property iPad does not provide any useful info about the property except the day of bin collection.

Really enjoyed our week at Skiddaw view as the accommodation has everything you need. Clean, tidy and a lovely comfortable bed, kitchen is small but is well equipped with modern units and appliances. Great views from the living room and lounge and it's nice to sit at the table enjoying the view.

Location is perfect being just round the corner from shops and also just across the road from Fitz park which was ideal for walking our border collie.

Was concerned that the noise from the road may have been an issue but it wasn't for us.

One minor gripe would be that the hot water is too hot and can easily burn if your not careful.

Property very nice, well looked after. Lovely views of Skiddaw from flat so certainly lived up to it's name. Right in the heart of Keswick with easy access to Fitz park across the road for walkies with the dog. Staff very helpful when we had a bit of difficulty with the key safe on arrival. Someone came straight across to help. Would definitely recommend.

It was a pleasant stay with our dog. The beautiful Fitz Park is just around the corner, so it is possible to go out for a nice walk with your doggy.

All windows face the same way, which means it gets hot in the sun, but on busy road, so don't want to open windows. Tablet for information has nothing about how to work things. Also, I accidentally logged out, while trying to find information about checking out, where to put rubbish, etc. and the tablet wouldn't allow me back in, so I had no info. The TV and hob took a bit of figuring out, with no info. The parking space is actually not that near the flat. Also, no info given about how to access the parking space which has a post in it! I did figure out that the other key provided infact unlocks the post to allow it to be laid flat, but it is a bit of a palaver having to work things out on arrival! There was very little disturbance from other residents and, apart from the traffic, it was quiet, comfortable and pleasant. Very convenient location for town, busses, walks etc.

Excellent customer service from Keswick Cottages. Skiddaw View is a lovely first floor flat with great views to Skiddaw. Clean & comfortable it has a large bedroom with a comfortable bed & plenty storage. The hall shelving provided ample space for all the bits & pieces eg walking gear, dog toys etc. Specious clean bathroom with plenty hot water. The lounge & kitchen were quite small but perfectly formed. Lovely comfy sofa for an evening of Netflix. Fitz Park great for those early morning walks with our dog. Saturday is market day so lots of fresh food to fill the fridge & larder. Keswick has lots of lovely walks & we could have spent our whole week walking there but having a dedicated parking space gave us the freedom to go off to some of our other favourite walks Grasmere to Ambleside via Rydal Water (the Badger for refreshments), Coniston Lake (coffee at the Herdwick excellent biggest ever bacon buttie) and Hawkshead (the Little Ice Cream Shop). And many more places. Bonus, we managed to miss the one heavy downpour & had decent weather.

Excellent apartment in a fantastic location within the town. Immaculately clean and very comfortable with private parking.
The only negative if being really picky, is to have the poles from the parking spot removed as it can be very tight.

The apartment was extremely clean and warm and very welcoming on our arrival. Bed was very comfortable, slightly disappointed it was only a double but still comfortable.
Everything you could need in the kitchen and heating remained constant to keep apartment warm.
Only negative point was the noise from stairs where people came in and out late at night as walls very thin.

Third time at Skiddaw View. Still a fantastic small but very warm flat in the centre of Keswick. Ideal for shops, pubs and restaurants.
The flat has everything you need for a comfortable stay. A lovely bathroom for relaxing after long walks, a small but very functional well equipped kitchen and a lovely large sofa for relaxing on. We stayed for a week at Skiddaw View , the apartment was very centrally located to all the Shops, bars & restaurants .
We were traveling on a motorbike & there was parking at the rear .
There were lots of walking nearby & a great bus service to many other towns if needed.
The apartment was very clean, modern and cosy . Just what you need when it is raining outside . They also have an airing cupboard to dry your wet clothes ( very useful )
A great view of Skiddaw from your bed !!
The staff at Keswick Cottages across the street were very friendly & helpful .

The bus service is great around the Lake District and there's so many walks to choose from, its hard to choose sometimes! We are so glad you found the apartment very modern, clean and cosy! This flat was in a great central location. It was comfortable and well equipped with all we needed for our stay. We did have a couple of minor issues which Rebecca and Antony of Keswick Cottages resolved quickly as they were very approachable and had a lovely helpful manner. There was scaffolding around the flats which we were made aware of prior to stay ,it did obscure view but did not disrupt our holiday . we had a great holiday and would certainly book this accommodation again in the future.

I just want to note that the customer service we received was absolutely excellent.
From the moment we booked I felt that the people on the other end of the phone actually cared about our stay.
Furthermore, just to enhance this, when we arrived, the television was broken , once it was reported we felt that Keswick Cottages did their upmost to rectify the issue in the most efficient and professional way possible.
I’ve stayed in Keswick with all the holiday let companies but I’ve got to say that Keswick Cottages provide the most friendly , caring and professional service out of them all !!

For a short stay the apartment was super, very clean and comfortable and central for enjoying Keswick and the surrounding area. We are regulars to the Lake District and didn’t need any area information but if you did there was plenty of help on hand from Keswick Cottages.
My only concern was the tight car parking space… if you removed the metal posts it would be a lot easier to park. We have a medium sized car but if we’d had a bigger car this would have been a stress!

Our recent stay at Skiddaw View was very comfortable, great location, and excellent having the park so close to walk our dog. Well equipped and everything on hand. The views were amazing looking out of the windows.

We really enjoyed staying at Skiddaw View, the location is perfect for access to Keswick and the surrounding areas. The accommodation was well appointed, bright and modern with everything we needed for our stay. The only downside was the fact we found the pans hadn't been cleaned properly and contained bits of food from previous guests.
Despite this small issue we would happily recommend.

My husband and I have always stayed at a hotel in Keswick although as a young adult I stayed in a house my parents owned. Sadly they sold it before I married present husband!!
We decided to try a self catering option this time and to be honest really do wonder why we didn`t do it before.
Flat 1 Skiddaw View was warm, comfortable, well equipped and had fantastic views of the mountain - it certainly lives up to its name!
It was really good location wise as it takes literally minutes to get into the middle of the town.
We had to stay an extra night because of the snow - oh what a shame!!
I would highly recommend the apartment - we will most certainly be returning!

Lovely compact apartment in centre of Keswick. Lovely views from windows and all amenities close by. Flat had everything you need for a comfortable stay and the bed was very comfy too. The only thing that did not work was the Keswick cottages information tablet but that was not a problem at all as they keep in touch via email. An enjoyable 2nd trip to this apartment and the fifth time we have used Keswick Cottages.

Perfect little apartment for 2 and a small dog. Gorgeous comfy bed you melt into after long walks! Amazing location, 2 skips and you are at the doggy cafe and then onto the pub! Couch was super comfy, with all the tv you could ask for to relax to after a long day.
We absolutely loved it and would deffo book again.
Only negative for us was the lightbulb in lounge tall lamp was so bright we couldn’t use it. Shower was extremely slow. But overall perfect

A wonderful bolt hole in the centre of Keswick with its own parking space.Cosy and warm with all the essentials you need for a break in Keswick. Opposite the park for early morning dog walks and next to all Keswick has to offer. Also Great service from Keswick cottages staff.

This flat was perfect for a couples’ getaway. Lovely views of Latrigg and Skiddaw from the window with most of Keswick reachable within a 5 minute walk.

The bed and sofa were comfy though the shower pressure wasn’t the best but it sufficed.

Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

This is a lovely cosy apartment, ideally sized for two and with the promised view of Skiddaw from all windows (weather depending!) The central location in Keswick was perfect and the private parking space a huge plus point. Everything was modern, clean, and easy to use, with the only niggle being that the lock on the door was occasionally tricky to use.

First time staying in Skiddaw View with Keswick Cottages although we have stayed in numerous other properties with Keswick Cottages over many years. The apartment was very central and handy for Fitz Park. Good standard of accommodation and great there was private parking with it being so central. The lock on the front door to the apartment itself can be tricky though and needs looking at. Did notice previous guests had commented on this also. Won’t be our last trip to Keswick great place for a break.

Excellent location to all Skiddaw has to offer. Many hikes, including Skiddaw and Helvellyn, able to access without needing to drive. Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and lovely view from the living room window.

Good location, the outside of the building looks abit run down but the actual flat is lovely and well stocked.

Parking is ok - although metal poles either side make parking tricky and the space isn’t that close to the entrance which did make packing/ unpacking more difficult. Think this is a fair trade off though for the central Keswick location
