Great location, well equipped kitchen, & comfortable place to stay, & having our dog with us with Fitz park just around the corner was a bonus, & also the property had a back door entrance into a large utility room which was great for drying off & cleaning up the dog before entering the carpeted areas,private parking space for one vehicle right across from the property

Had a really comfortable stay at The Ridgeway after deciding to book for the weekend on the spur of the moment.
Great location near the centre of Keswick yet fairly quiet.
Beautiful well equipped kitchen.
Lovely bathroom with a lovely deep bath. Great views from the lounge over towards Catbells and the Newlands Valley.
Booked a number of times with Keswick Cottages at various locations and never disappointed.

This is the seventh time staying at the Ridgeway. It’s a perfect place to stay and all within walking distance to the town centre, lake and surrounding parks. Plus it has its own parking space. The house is perfect for us and our two little dogs as it has a secure front garden. The kitchen is fully equipped and well stocked. Beautiful views from the living room. Highly recommend this property.

Great 2 bed house with enclosed front yard, 100 yards from the main street. Central location and also close to park and river greta. Great for dog walks and property easy and quick to centrally heat when needed

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Ridgeway. Only 2 minutes into town & the same to Fitz Park with our 2 dogs but so quiet & fab view of the fells from the upstairs living room window. This cottage is high end with lovely furnishings & decoration & we loved the quirky postcards & pictures of Keswick on the wall outside the living room. All in all a fabulous stay in our favourite Lake District town.

We were very happy with the accommodation. It's location from the centre of Keswick was perfect for my dad, who is 93, and can't walk too far. At the top end of the road and only a few mins walk, there is access to Fitz park over the Greta river which is very pretty.
The accommodation is quirky in its layout but comfortable, with great views of the hills from the living/dining room and very quiet at night.
The kitchen is fabulous and very well stocked with all the utensils etc. you need. I definitely recommend this property.

We had a lovely short break at The Ridgeway, helped by some beautiful weather. We found it an ideally positioned base for our stay, with shops, pubs, lake, buses all within an easy few minutes stroll, and more serious walks possible straight from the front door. We didn't use our car once during our 4 day stay!
The property was great too. Very well equipped and comfortable once we got used to the interesting room layout and the slightly unexpected stairs, and a fabulous view from the sitting room bay window. If we had to find something to improve it would be the mattress on the main bed, but it wasn't a problem.
Keswick Cottages were very straightforward to deal with, and in our limited contacts with them we found them helpful and friendly.
We would happily book again, and indeed hope to do so soon!

Had a great 4 night stay in Ridgeway with the pup; great location, ideal access into the town centre. Ideal facilities for those with a dog, the back door to the property gives access directly to a spacious boot room, perfect for bringing in wet dogs.
Will definitely rebook this property.

We were a family of 4 adults plus a well behaved dog.

The house suited us perfectly. It is clean, smart, pleasant, comfortable beds and sofas. Enjoyed cooking in the modern kitchen. Upstairs bath/shower room is super with a 2nd bathroom downstairs. The boot/bike/dog drying/washing machine room is a great addition and helps keep everything clean and tidy. Scenic views from the lounge window. It is a minute's walk away from the centre, with all the shops, restaurants etc, yet tucked away on a quiet cul de sac with the added bonus of a reserved parking spot. A walk in opposite direction for 2 minutes, across the river foortbridge and we were in the lovely large Fitz Park, which is a brilliant park, great for walking a dog or going to the children's play area.

On our next trip to Keswick we will certainly be seeking this house out again.

It is situated in the centre of Keswick so it is only a short walk to the town centre. The reserved parking place is a great addition because you don't have to worry about parking, especially when Keswick gets busy. Only negative was that the property above it had very noisy floorboards, so we were woken up at 6am most mornings.

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Keswick and the location of the cottage and the views from the from room. The are some areas that could be improved. The heating did not always come on in the morning. Lots of signs saying not to touch it but we had to manually switch it on. The bed in the main bedroom really does need to be more luxurious. The mattress is not comfortable at all. Also the tv in bedroom is far too small. The second bedroom seemed a little dirty like it had not been cleaned. It had someone’s discarded fake eyelashes on the carpet which was a little unpleasant. (See behind bed side table)
The facilities in the cottage are excellent with all the kitchen utensils and washing machine dryer and dishwasher. Overall a lovely cottage but with a couple of small improvements in comfort would be a 5 star.

We loved our stay at The Ridgeway over Christmas. Possibly our favourite place we have stayed in Keswick…ever!
Easy to find, parking space opposite the property.
We found the property to be comfortable, cosy and well equipped.
It was always warm, comfy bed, or red etc sofas to relax on and what a great view from the lounge.
The shower was hot and powerful. The kitchen was well equipped (we cooked Christmas dinner and had everything we needed!)
Lovely welcome items plus the little essentials to make sure you could settle in without having to head straight to the shops.
The lounge was decorated for Christmas too!
Due to the awful weather all week we were inside a lot….but this never gelt a hardship as we found the property a perfect place to relax and chill out.
In short, we loved it. We were quite sad to say goodbye to it (wish we owned it!).
Highly recommended. Central enough for convenience but just far enough away from the noise of the town.
A real haven of peace in a busy place.
We can’t wait to go back to The Ridgeway

The booking process was also zero hassle. Lovely friendly team at Keswick Cottages!

All in all a perfect experience start to finish.

Great quiet location just off the Main Street. Couldn’t ask for anything else for a base while visiting the town. Kitchen was extremely well stock with equipment and there’s plenty room. Ideal for a family or even two couples as two separate bathrooms. Would highly recommend and will certainly book again

Lovely accommodation in town. Easy access parking slots need more definition as quite tight. Washer and drier are important in the lake district. It rained constantly on our weekend.

My wife and I plus our daughters dog stayed midweek at the Ridgeway. First impressions were how clean and tidy the property looked. It is comfortable and very convenient for Keswick town centre and all its amenities. This our second stay at the Ridgeway and we had an equally relaxing time exploring the Lake District. We would definitely stay again.

Super views from main window, nice front terrace to sit out on which caught the sun, wonderfully convenient for town centre yet quiet. Slight negatives - parking space is tight (but you do get one right outside the property which is good), and kitchen is downstairs whilst living/dining room is upstairs. Main double bed has a raised plinth at the bottom which is slightly annoying for taller people who want to stretch out. Good facilities, we recommend this apartment.

Stayed here many times and it has improved over the years . All mod cons which are in good working order , nicely furnished and with a lovely little patio at the front which has the sun all afternoon.In a great position close to town and with magnificent views from lounge . Nothing more to say would have liked to have seen the vacuum emptied before we arrived and salt put into the dishwasher

However, there should have been a welcome cleaning pack left within the cottage as part of the welcome items. Within this pack there is some dishwasher tablets so that you have an initial supply to start your stay. On your next stay with us, if this pack isn't present just give us a call and we will happily drop one off for you.

My son and I stayed here for a walking break. We were greatly impressed by the standard and location of this property and that it had a car parking spot. We found it extremely clean and tidy, also it had everything we would wish for. Despite the exceedingly inclement weather, we had a wonderful break, and we would certainly stay here again.

We found The Ridgeway to be comfortable , clean and well equipped.Just a short walk from the town, bus station and Derwant Water made it an ideal base to explore the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Fab views great location central Keswick with Catbells and other walks on the doorstep. Lovely clean house. Only complaint is bins there is no bin for plastic recycling at property so you have to take to recycling center.

In regards to the recycling The Ridgeway is on a commercial contract for the bins which does mean any recyclable materials, will be recycled at the depot,. We stayed here with our two teenage children and dog for a week in August and couldn’t be more pleased. The house is well maintained, comfortable, clean and very well equipped - a real home away from home. It’s ideally located for trips into town and also for fell walking. The views from the property are stunning. We’ll be back

We enjoyed staying at the Ridgeway. It is perfectly located. It’s great to take which a short walk home after eating in the Thai Restaurant or The Thyme.

Great views

The accommodation was clean, comfort and amply equipped.

All in all a great stay.

The Ridgeway was excellent and in the perfect location for us and our 2 dogs. It was very spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. I would highly recommend The Ridgeway and will be booking to stay again.

Comfortable and well equipped accommodation and in a prime location for walking and eating out or in. Found Keswick Cottages provide an excellent service, nothing was too much trouble for them. My wife and I are retired and have enjoyed numerous short breaks in Keswick with our daughters 2 Border terriers, having stayed in this apartment several times. It is an excellent location and provides us with everything we need in a home from home

We stayed at The Ridgeway over Christmas and New Year 2021 for our Honeymoon for 2 weeks and it was amazing. The staff at Keswick Cottages were so friendly and helpful and they and the owners had left us a little hamper on arrival to congratulate us on our wedding and it was such a lovely touch. The flat is in the perfect location, just 1 minute walk into town and also a short stroll to lovely walking spots. It had all the ameneties we needed, a well equipped kitchen and it was all spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay again
