Hazelbank is a stunning family home in an equally stunning location, St Catherines, just outside Strachur, on the shores of Loch Fyne.

Sleeping 10 people, it is a very special place, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and seamlessly blends the charm of an old house with contemporary elegance.

Absolutely stunning setting. It really was perfect with family including 3 grandchildren and 2 dogs. Perfect for kayaking.
All the rooms are spacious, bedrooms luxurious with very comfy mattresses and pillows - really couldn’t fault. Good selection of kitchen equipment although with family of 8 more freezer space would have been good.
The cleaning of the property could be much better for a 5* property. Rubbish bag from previous guest left in bedroom: established cobwebs in the utility and the BBQ was disgusting- couldn’t be used it was so very dirty! The lights on the decking were full of water so couldn’t be used in the evening. Rubbish is only collected every 3 weeks so bins were overflowing and the smell was awful - thankfully a distance from the house but many wasps and flies - grim. Solution needed here.
Disappointing really.
Having said all that we had a super week and would consider returning.

We had a very enjoyable week at Hazelbank. The house is lovely and the location perfect.

The children, 6, 3 and 18 months, loved the little beach and the adults enjoyed sitting down there in the evenings. We lite the fire pit to keep the midges at bay. My son was paddle boarding on the loch one evening and witnessed a school of porpoises hunting for fish around him. He said it was a magical experience.

There are some great places to eat nearby, the nearest just over a mile away. And my daughter-in-law said the meal she had at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar was the best she had ever eaten.

We would certainly consider staying there again next time we are planning a holiday to Scotland.

Had a wonderful week at Hazel bank with family. Great house to chill and enjoy it's wonderful location. The house is well equipped and beautifully furnished and decorated. Amanda was always on hand to help and is an excellent hostess.
Two of the bedrooms only have a few draws and no wardrobes and the two master bedrooms with the adjoining en suite and interlocking door are an odd layout , difficult to explain but if two couples had these rooms they are not private, you have to walk throw one to get to the other. Missed not having a freezer at the house .
Thank you for a wonderful time.
