Tanamuir is a charming cottage sitting in the heart of the village of Strachur, overlooking the beautiful Loch Fyne in Argyll.
The cottage is dog-friendly and accommodates 8 people, either 7 adults or 6 adults and 2 children and is beautifully furnished throughout offering great views from all the rooms.
The open plan cosy sitting /dining room has a wood-burning stove at its heart, with comfy seating to curl up on around it whilst enjoying the gorgeous views over the water outside. This room leads on to a decked balcony, the ideal spot for sitting watching the sun go down over the loch.
The spacious kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay.

The garden is enclosed do its safe for dogs.

Fabulous family stay at Tanamuir on Loch Fyne!

We had a fantastic, 11-night family stay for four of us with a dog at Tanamuir! Loch Fyne and the local shop/post office/cafe are just over the road. The house is very well equipped, super comfortable, clean, and cosy. The communication with Amanda from Holiday Cottages West Coast was first class. Location is great for exploring the Highlands, with boat trips (see Loch Fyne Sea Tours) from the pontoon about a 5 minutes walk away, Inveraray a 30-minute drive around the loch, and magical walks like Glenbranter and Puck's Glen less than 20 minutes away by car. We went late July/early August and the midges weren't a problem - they only really show up in the boggy areas or in the evenings on cloudy/muggy days, so don't let the wee beasties put you off staying here!

All in all an excellent place for our family to have a short stay. (included Baby and small dog) From initial booking to to all queries promptly answered by Amanda the trip was most smooth - aside from the weather gods not being so kind but we live in Scotland so always prepared. House has a nice open plan living, dining and kitchen downstairs and 2 bedrooms (one ensuite). There is a 3rd bedroom and second lounge upstairs accessed by a spiral staircase. May not suit everyone but we had no difficulties. All areas of the house are very well equipped. A nice deck area with seating and tables runs the length of the house overlooking Loch Fyne and a small garden to the rear. A great place to go to explore Argyll's towns, lochs, forests and hills - we all agreed we'd come back in a second!

Lovely modern, comfortable house with nice views across Loch Fyne. Ideally positioned to explore this stunning area with easy access to many other locations. Great facilities and lots of space. Nice balcony over looking the Loch to enjoy a glass of wine! Only downside was it was a bit noisy early morning (from 6am) with HGVs and logging trucks driving back and forth.

This is the second time we have visited Tanamuir on Loch Fyne and were once again delighted with the property. The property is immaculate, well decorated and maintained and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. There is a lot to do in the local area - in particular our kids love the waterfall trail in Glenbranter, Inveraray Jail and the Gruffalo Trail in Ardkinglas Woodland Garden. Since we stayed last year, the host has erected gates at each side of the house which made life much easier with the dog around. All in all, another fantastic stay at Tanmuir and no doubt we will be back again soon.

Great holiday apartment loads of space inside and a fabulous space outside to watch the world go by. Lovely bed linen, comfortable beds and everything you could possibly need for a short break. Perfect location for trips to Portavadie or Bute via the Colintraive ferry- but equally perfect for just jumping across the road and strolling along the beach (and there's a penguin sitting right there on the shore!). Thanks so much for allowing us to use your holiday home!

Very comfortable cottage with everything you need, even a very handy shop & post office opposite. Wonderful views across the loch and well situated for touring the local area. Within easy driving distance of amazing views of Kyles of Bute, the Loch Fyne shop with superb seafood, lovely town & castle of Inveraray and Arrochar with access to the Arrochar Alps for experienced walkers. Also had a trip around the Kintyre Peninsular, a long day out but well worth it for the great towns, superb views of some of the islands and the delicious seafood soup from the shop at Skipness Castle. A great place to stay.
