Villa Lunetta sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 twin) all with ensuite bathrooms. It is the most private house on a beautifully restored historic hamlet south of Florence, with its own garden and shaded portico. The shared pool is enormous (10 × 20 m) and a short walk away, with a small bar and fridge. The estate also has a private restaurant, wine and oil tasting room, library, and spa.

The hamlet is about 1.5km from a village, reachable on foot via a quiet path over a medieval bridge. Florence is under an hour by car, or 30 minutes by direct train from Figline station. Arezzo is under an hour, Chianti 30 minutes, and Siena around 80 minutes.

Note that this is a shared estate so there may be other guests in neighbouring houses.

Riga the hostess was excellent. I can’t say more about how personable and informative she was.
We really liked the architecture of the villa and the facility. In fact, it was exceptional. We spent evenings around the large table located between the bar and pool. We wish we could have enjoyed the pool as well but the weather did not cooperate.

The primary negatives is that the front entrance location was very confusing. The first time we arrived at the back door because it presented itself with iron large gates around a walled courtyard. The actual ‘front’ parking area was harder to find, in part because we arrived after sundown and missed the small sign. After we did find it, three times in four days I turned from the gravel driveway into the wrong parking area. It was particularly difficult after dark.

Also, while the huge kitchen table was fantastic, the cabinet and silverware/china arrangement could use improvement, but this is a minor complaint.
