Every chance to make the place more beautiful has been seized enthusiastically with both hands by the owner: the ex-farmhouse's old well has been turned into a circular shaded pergola with views out over the landscape past a giant umbrella pine. The requirement for a pump room for the private swimming pool has been transformed into a chance to build a tripartite brick portico by the pool, and on and on, this house is a delight.
