We have stayed at Wolds Way often over the years visiting family close by, we prefer the one bedroom cottages, but needed the two bed this time. I did think about booking the Rolling Mill (which is above The Barn) which I will next time we need the two bedroom, as contractors stay at the cottages as well as holiday makers. We were woken by very heavy footsteps at 6.30 both mornings as the person upstairs got up to go off to work at 7am, not ideal when you are on holiday. Sofas and beds very comfy, nice to have home-made mince pies and milk in the fridge and a little lit Xmas tree. The bathroom smells mouldy when you use the shower (not sure if it's the drains or the wall panelling) but that's the first time we found that. Not something the owners would know unless they used it as didn't smell at all when dry (hence mentioning it here). Love the animals :)

Excellent stay at the Barn at Wolds way cottages. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful and the cottage was well fitted out with everything we and our dog needed. Fantastic walks round the farm. Very well positioned for visits to the coast and Beverley and York and easy access off the motorway. Would definitely stay again when in the area

Stayed in this lovely accommodation for two nights & loved every minute of it. A very rural location (working farm) added to the sense of relaxation. The barn was superb. The beds were very comfortable & the sheets were freshly laundered. The shower was clean, powerful & easy to operate. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment, including a coffee machine. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here if you're looking for a relaxing time in the countryside.

Dave and Sue were incredibly helpful in providing us with both the barn and dairy for our family with 4 kids (3 teenagers) and we all loved the beautiful cottages in such a peaceful setting. The goats, horses, chickens. scones, fresh flowers and eggs, lovely walks and views - we are booking ahead this time (!) to stay again with the added bonus of a hot tub, and god willing - good weather!! Absolutely wonderful stay, thank you again.

We had a great couple of days stay at the Barn. Just perfect for what we needed. Out in the countryside but a quick trip into Hull. Really well decorated and equipped with comfy sofas and beds. Lovely touch of scones and jam as well. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

We spent four nights here because we had a family wedding at the Little Wold Vineyard just down the road and wanted to make a mini holiday out of it. On arrival we were very impressed with the size and standard of the accommodation and how well-equipped it was (we were in The Barn.) Our family friends were upstairs in The Rolling Mill and our daughter, husband and son were in The Cow 'Ouse. They were also delighted with everything. I particularly liked the laid-back feel of the cottages. My young grandson (who is obsessed with tractors and diggers) was in his own little heaven, he loved the goats, chickens and horses. It's a fantastic spot for kids to get close to nature. The whole area of the Yorkshire Wolds is beautiful - lovely villages, pubs, walks etc. and Beverley is only just down the road. York is about an hour away by car, maybe less, depending on traffic. We'll definitely be back!!
Oh, nearly forgot - the beds!!! : really comfortable, huge, dreamy! We slept like babies :-)

The Barn is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely farm location, lots of land for off road walks and rides (we took our horses)& lots of lovely towns nearby. Highly recommend

The Barn was amazing! It had everything you need for a holiday stay. They even leave you fresh baked scones and a bottle of milk. The kitchen was well equipped too.
The garden is nice and secure as well if you are bringing a pet along. My kids loved feeding the goats and the donkeys. We will be booking again soon. Set in the beautiful countryside its wonderful and peaceful.

We stayed with our toddler and baby for a weekend in June and will now make this our base for whenever we visit family in Yorkshire. The accommodation is modern, kitted out with everything you need and the farm onsite was a complete win for our toddler. He also enjoyed having his own king-size bed for the weekend! The customer service was second to none, including some delicious homemade scones on arrival and being offered a later checkout when my husband was unwell on the final day. I’ve given 4 for location, as while it was perfect for us, you do need a car (or a horse!). There are no shops or pubs within walking distance, but this was clear from the cottages’ website when booking and a look at the map. We didn’t need to be able to walk anywhere but it’s the only very minor thing that might put others off. We loved it and will be back!!

Always a pleasure to return to Wolds Way Farm. The cottages still have a nearly new feel about them and are super comfortable. Dave and Rachel are great hosts and offer any help needed. We use the farm as a base to visit our granddaughter and make good use of the farm animal paddock for feeding the goats and enjoy the walk around the livery stables to see the horses.
