Stayed in ‘the yurt’ for 2 nights in February and had a fantastic break. Yurt and shower room were spotless and hosts could not be friendlier. Although it was cold outside the yurt, the wood burner made it warm and cosy inside and the hot tub under the stars was a delight. A 5 minute walk to the pub and Chinese takeaway was a bonus, but recommend booking in advance if you want to eat in the pub as very popular especially at weekends. Will be going back for sure.
This was our second visit to Walnut Barn Estate, and once again it exceeded every expectation. Our first stay in the yurt was unforgettable, but this time we chose the Lady’s Well Shepherd’s Hut for our anniversary — and it was simply superb. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. Sharon, who arranged our stay with care and precision, made sure every detail was just as we’d requested. We were met with a golf buggy and trailer to whisk us off to the hut, which was a delightful touch. The hut itself is a marvel of design — how they fit a full bathroom (with a large shower and toi...more
Second visit to Walnut Barn Estate. Lovely place to relax, enjoyed the hot tub. Ideal secluded garden for our dachshund. Nice comfy bed, quality furnishings, everything you need . Pub and Chinese takeaway, on doorstep, & can recommend both. Only slight negative, outside space, could benefit a little TLC. All in all, we had a pleasant stay.
We stayed at Olivia’s Roost on the Walnut Barns Estate and honestly… I think I’ve peaked in life. The cottage is spotless, packed with all the modern conveniences you could ever need, and decorated so beautifully it made me question all of my own interior design choices. Highlights included: 1. The hot tub (because who doesn’t want to feel like royalty under the stars?). 2. The giant bronze bath — possibly the most glamorous soak I’ve ever had, and I’m not sure I’ll ever be satisfied with my boring bathtub again. 3. Clear instructions for everything, which meant no awkward fumbling aro...more
Our family group of 3 generations had a lovely mini holiday at the Big Old Dairy in August. There is plenty of space and comfort. The location is excellent for visiting the local area.
From the moment myself and my friends arrived we were very impressed with this place. It was very clean, had everything you wanted and was the perfect place to share with your friends partying and having fun. The layout was absolutely perfect and the decor was bright and modern and suited the barn perfectly. But more importantly the host was extremely friendly and helpful and was on call if you needed anything, nothing was too much trouble and he made us feel very welcome. This barn was the perfect choice for my 50th getaway, everyone absolutely loved it and we had so much fun we did not e...more
A perfect place to stay with our 6 month old, although hard flooring throughout we brought our own play mat which was excellent for putting in the lounge area, open planned layout of kitchen and lounge allowed us to always keep an eye on our daughter. Comfy beds and enough space for next to me cot in main bedroom, bath was excellent however jets didn’t work. Windows were a little thin so could hear noise of local event and hen party that was also on site.
