We recently stayed at Big Oak Barn for a family gathering and were blown away by this stunning property. The design of the place is unique to anywhere I've stayed previously. It can sleep up to 18 people with some of the bedrooms having cool annexes for single beds/children. We all had a wonderful time enjoying all the facilities, the particular highlights being the HUGE hot tub and Arctic Cabin. Our stay just so happened to coincide with extremely wet and windy weather, but in the end, we had the most wonderful time! The staff at Walnut Barn Estate are incredibly kind and helpful. If you want to shut the door and do your own thing you can, but if you ever need help or advice, they're more than happy to help out. In terms of the property itself, it is tucked away in a private part of Walnut Barn Estate and is like your own little haven in nature. Stayed in ‘the yurt’ for 2 nights in February and had a fantastic break. Yurt and shower room were spotless and hosts could not be friendlier. Although it was cold outside the yurt, the wood burner made it warm and cosy inside and the hot tub under the stars was a delight. A 5 minute walk to the pub and Chinese takeaway was a bonus, but recommend booking in advance if you want to eat in the pub as very popular especially at weekends. Will be going back for sure.
Just what we needed , a post Christmas getaway, to relax and chill for a few days , beautiful place so nicely done to a very high standard , a touch of class , we had a lovely time
From start to finish our weekend was perfect. We were warmly welcomed and settled into our idyllic accommodation and our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. The location is sublime and the Hut was brilliantly well-appointed with everything we could possibly need. We won’t hesitate to recommend this gem to anyone who will listen!
Thank you for such a warm welcome to the old dairy. Everything was ideal for us to stay. We only had 11 of us instead of the 16 as most of us were couples and needed our own rooms. We also had a chance to see your brand new barn. It will be stunning when you have done your finishing touches. We truly loved the fact that we were able to use this house with our dog and didn’t feel like there were millions of rules. We will be back next year i hope
The barn was as described apart from no outside space attached to the property! As we took our dog, this was not ideal for toileting needs for our dog and we felt it was misleading in its description.
