What can I say, we had the most amazing weekend From the moment we were greeted by Sharon who was very friendly & helpful, Olivia’s roost has literally everything you need for a relaxing stay the bed was so comfy, the shower was powerful & hot , the kitchen had all you needed (even an air fryer) The copper bath is a very indulgent luxury The garden space was great very private , lovely decking area , also there was a pizza oven The hot tub was wonderful especially at night when all the garden was lit up with the lights around the garden , then chilling with a few cheeky g&t’s on the day ...more
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful Somerset countryside and stayed at Orchard View Yurt, part of the Walnut Barn Estate. This was a departure from our usual hotel or B&B experiences, but we were looking for something different for our 37th anniversary—and it did not disappoint! Fabulous accommodation. Welcoming and very relaxing. Everything you need and the hot tub was very much welcomed after our countryside hike! Pub - 5 minute walk offers excellent food and drinks. We loved our stay and will definately return.
Had an amazing time at the shepherds hut. Excellent location and brilliant for privacy. Enjoyed using the hot tub multiple times a day, and relaxing outside and inside the hut. Sharon was brilliant when we first arrived, giving us lots of useful tips and ideas. The local pub is exceptional and can't recommend it enough! Had some fantastic star gazing opportunities on clear nights as there is next to no light pollution. Overall, a fully enjoyable stay!
Our whole family met at Walnut Barn, that is us, our 4 children and their children. We spread out over the Dairy Barn, the Cider Barn, the Yurt and the Shepherd's Hut. We had a lovely time, walking the estate, popping to Weston-super-Mare - the peir is brilliant - and visiting the fantastic local Inn where we were made very welcome. The weather was terrible but there is nothing quite like the sauna and hot tub in the pouring rain or watching lightning over the bay from the viewing platform. The cider barn is a wonderful cozy very well equipped accommodation. Having the use of the orchard for our two dogs was an added bonus. Especially when sat at the little table and chairs with a glass of wine enjoying the late summer sunshine. The pub in walking distance and served excellent food. Richs cider farm worth the drive for good food and excellent farm shop. Both recommended on chalkboard in the sitting room.
