We had the best stay for my husbands birthday at the sherpherds hut. Snuggliest bed which we sank into and thoroughly enjoyed the pets ducks we had for the few days let alone all the other beautiful animals, Adorable new Brian! Brilliant view of Weston Sea, a perfect hideaway treat.
Beautiful location on a working farm with animals nearby which was lovely too see. Great set up in Lotties Lodge. The local pub serves excellent home made food, are dog friendly and in walking distance, book in advance to get a table. James was very friendly and helpful with recommending places to go. Cheddar Gorge is very pretty. Brean Downs is a lovely beach visit & also dog friendly.
Overall, we had a great time at Orchard Yurt but there were some issues/shortfalls which was very disappointing. The yurt is a gorgeous, unique hideaway. The use of the space is amazing and the interior is so tastefully done out. Whilst we did stay during the extreme heat, we think it would be useful to have an air conditioning unit (as opposed to a fan) in the yurt especially for those of us staying with pets. Walnut Barn estates was a fantastic place to have a hen weekend - Sharon the manager was so helpful, on hand at every point and really accommodating - the old dairy was such a fantastic house for our party of 12 girls and I cannot say enough good things about our stay and the place and the facilities!
The Coder Barn was perfect for us and our dog. Well appointed. Fantastic walks and a secure garden/ orchard so our dog could be off lead. There is a really good pub within walking distance, and is dog friendly. I would recommend booking as it does get busy.
