An excellent week spent in good company. Two suggestions to the hosts, the wood burner needs a service and some repair plus WRT the hot tub maybe make it optional as it sems a waste of resources/time/energy to maintain/refill for each change of guests?

The house is clean and kept in a an excellent condition.
The WiFi has improved since the last time we visited and is very good.
The hot tub is looked at daily.
The kitchen window allows for the nicest views.
Only thing we had was that one of the sofas in the tv room sinks at one side but this is a minor problem.
All In all an excellent stay in a lovely house.
We will be staying here again

Greenmyre is a beautiful house in an idyllic and peaceful setting. Everything was immaculate and beautifully presented on arrival.

Whether it was lounging in the glass fronted kitchen sitting area or relaxing in the hot tub the views are stunning. The local area has something for everyone from paddle boarding on Loch of Lintrathen, to walking the glens, visiting Glamis Castle or taking in the local wildlife at Loch of Kinnordy.
There are also many local food spots. The Wee Bear Cafe is a must for brunch and Armstrong at Glamis has an excellent Sunday Carvery.
We would recommend Greenmyre to anyone who wants to escape the rigours of day to day life and enjoy the luxury of this wonderful home in an amazing setting.

This is the second time i have booked this property. It is the perfect house to get together and socialise with others due to the large open rooms. The kitchen, hot tub and outdoor seating are is perfect so everyone can feel included. Big rooms which are spotless, comfy beds and plenty of mirror space! Dining area is perfect to get together to eat and kitchen is large enough for multiple people to he doing things. Hosts were friendly and quick at responding. On the Saturday someone cane to check the hot tub which was a nice thing. Its overall well kept, clean, stocked well and has a homely feel. We will definitely be booking again for next year!

We were in the area for walking. Loads of circular walks . We had to drive a bit but not too far. Near Kirriemuir for food shopping.

Three generations of family came together to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary. The house was perfect for everyone, lovely kitchen space to cook and chat in whilst having a cuppy and seperate dining area with a table big enough for all 10 of us get around to eat and play games. Unfortunately the dishwasher was broken during our stay which meant a lot of dishwashing for us The company were quick at respiratory and did send someone round but it couldnt be fixed during our stay.
There were two living spaces, which meant the teens could head off to the snug to escape the adults for a while. The hottub was a big hit with everyone and was well used during our stay.
The bedrooms were beautiful and spacious, and we all slept very well. My one suggestion would be the addition of a shower in the shared bathroom instead of a bath.
The surrounding area was lovely and we were invited over to see the calfs, the young farmer was very informative and gave us lots of tips on how to spend our time - a trip to Peel farm was one of the suggestions we followed up on.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Greenmyre Farm.

Greenmyre Farmhouse is an outstanding five bedroom property. It had everything we needed for our long weekend stay from Friday to Monday.

The house is beautiful presented, furniture, ornaments and pictures are all lovely. The house was immaculately clean and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable for a great nights sleep.

The location is peaceful on the farm surrounded by fields and cows. The hot tub was well used during our stay and was great to relax in with a glass of Prosecco after a long walk each day.

We will definitely return to this house again and will recommend to family and friends.

Perfect venue for our annual getaway. 8 adults & 2 small dogs.
Bedrooms clean, comfortable with good quality linens. Bathrooms were lovely and great power in the showers.
Living space downstairs more than adequately accommodated the 8 of us. Lounge area with log burner was comfortable and welcome after long walks in March weather! (Rain, more rain & mud!
Kitchen was well equipped, Aga was lovely, does take a bit of getter used to cooking on it, had a few success’s and a couple of near failures! Operator errors.
Nice seating area in the kitchen space for socialising and meal preparation.
Hot tub was at the perfect temperature and checked daily.
Very swift response to the dishwasher not working ( apologies, it was operator error!)
This is the 3rd year we have booked a property through Solid Luxury and look forward to booking with them again for next March.

Fantastic weekend away with the family , Greenmyre farmhouse did not disappoint! Very modern and so comfortable! The AGA cooker took a wee while to get the hang off! But we soon were able to cook up some tasty meals for everyone! The enclosed garden was great for our dogs , especially our puppy knowing he couldn’t get out and he could run about without being on his lead!
Hot tub was a big hit with both the adults and kids!
The kids also enjoyed going to see the cows in the shed next door !
We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked up again for next year!

From start to finish it's been an absolute pleasure booking through solid luxury. The online booking made it easy to add on extras and keep track of payments etc.
The house is stunning! Pictures don't do it justice at all. Every room was immaculate, the beds were comfy and we had plenty bathrooms for everyone.
The area is really quiet with only a farm next door which was so peaceful. We absolutely will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Greenmyre Farmhouse. The house is beautiful and all the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The aga is manageable but could be too warm if the weather is sunny. The location is secluded which is great if you are wanting to get away from it all, but a 5 minute drive down the road is an excellent café for brunch and there is often evening entertainment at the weekend. We went to Reekie Falls which was a beautiful walk and Peel Farm where there are deer, pigs, donkeys and goats. Kirriemuir is a 15 minute drive away and is a beautiful town.
Our only quibble was that there was no HDMI cable available although we could access apps on the tv, nor was there an adaptor plug for electric toothbrushes. This may be resolved for future guests.

We spent a week here at Greenmyre as three generations of the same family. Everyone had a fantastic time in this spacious farmhouse. It was extremely clean and had everything you need for a week away. The hot tub was maintained regularly by a nice friendly bunch and communication was great regarding a small issue I had with the shower. They fixed it immediately with minimal interruption. The view was lovely from the floor to ceiling windows in the kitchen area and being in the middle of the countryside it was a very peaceful location. It was only a 5mile drive to the nearest town. The location is close to a loch too where the children enjoyed using their kayak. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful holiday.

Last week we spent 3 nights at Greenmyre's farmhouse to celebrate my son's 40th birthday. We were extremely impressed with the house, beautifully presented and furnished with everything we could possibly need for our stay. Particularly impressed with bedrooms and bathrooms, absolutely luxurious! The location is a little remote but the views are spectacular. The family really loved the hot tub and as we were blessed with beautiful weather it was well used. Would have loved to stay longer but be assured we will be back. 5 star.

We have already booked for next year, need I say more. The farmhouse is lovely. Very clean, spacious and well equipped. The views are amazing and it is very tranquil.

The Greenmyre Farmhouse is a dream home with style, comfort and amazing views.
We were a little unsure of the Aga so maybe an instruction leaflet would be helpful but we called and a friendly Solid Luxury employee came out to help us. It was enjoyable to watch the comings and goings of the farmers and the cows, would highly reccommend you bring your Waldies if you're going in winter/wet weather.
We had a visit from the owner and had a lovely chat with him and he allowed us in to see his cows in the shed which added to our expierence.
My only very very small critism is there was a few items from the kitchen missing like salt and pepper, kitchen foil, cooking oil but nothing you can't manage without.

Would love to be back soon.

We really enjoyed our stay here. House is beyond compare. Beautifully decorated and very spacious. It has everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. There were a few niggles which we fed back. There were a significant amount of flies which kept arriving in one of the bedrooms, which we were finidng dead on floors and window sills, even with windows closed. Also the fire alarm went off twice at similar time each day with no indication of what caused it. This wouldn't stop us going back, it was beautiful. Worth pointing out it is right next to a farm so the cows were a wake up call in the morning!

Perfect getaway.
Hottub was amazing.
Rooms were immaculate.
Beds comfy.
Decorated to a high standard with beautiful ornaments.
We stayed for 2 nights for my best friends hen getaway and no-one wanted to leave. Perfect for any occasion and we will definitely be going back. The views and gardens are amazing. Would be perfect for kids to run about also so it's a Perfect family getaway.

Stay has very relaxing, but would have been better if the showers were a lot better.They really spoilt my stay.
Also the small channel in kitchen at window was disgusting not sure when it was last cleaned.
Lack off tins for cooking with
It could be made clearer about wether dogs are to be on lead in garden as in information booklet it says dogs to be on leads at all times!!
Wifi !!!! I know it says its not very good well we never got any signal whole time we were there
with no wifi we could not google thinks to do in area before leaving house eg like walks maybe leave leaflets or a map with walks on it.
Chairs in dining room could do with looking at as they are a bit wobbly

We had a fantastic chilled weekend away at Greenmyre. The house and surrounding gardens are beautiful, it had everything we needed.
The hot tub was a great size too.

Our only disappointment was the WiFi wouldn't work and even some on our party could not get signal outside either. We were a bunch of mums so wanted to be able to contact home.
There was an issue with flies coming in through the velux windows in the bedroom above the kitchen so could not open the windows.

Would definitely return and recommend if they sort out the WiFi.

We had an amazing stay here, we had 6 adults, 3 kids and a dog and everyone of us loved it! We found using the ayga easy enough and cooked on it fine i know some previous reviews found it difficult. Was nice not having so much signal and wifi aswell. We enjoyed walks down to the farm to see the cows and bulls which we were given permission to do from owners. Overall great stay, a couple small issues during the stay were resolved very quickly within the hour.

We stayed for a week at Greenmyre and it was fantastic from start to finish. If you are content with no internet it’s absolutely worth staying here. The house is so beautiful and the garden is amazing, especially if you have doggies.

There really is not much to fault and Solid Luxury were very helpful when I had enquiries. It is only 10 minutes from Kirriemuir which has ample shops and restaurants. There is also a beautiful cafe 5 minutes down the road next to Loch Lintrathen which is also beautiful to walk by.

Our only negative from the entire week was the gardener came at 9am on the day we were leaving. We were trying to enjoy our last hour playing with the dogs in the garden and it almost seemed like we were being rushed out an hour early.

We would definitely return.

We had a lovely weekend celebrating a famly birthday with ages between 9-75 attending.. The countryside locatiion was very relaxing with beautiful views from the house. A great large garden for ball games and the hot tub was a real treat for all ages. The house certainly had the wow factor, particularly the kitchen and was well equipped, good beds and bedding.

As it was described as luxury accomodation a decent coffee machine (we brought our own instead) and a proper BBQ ( not a disposable) would have been better.

We just didn’t a fabulous week at Greenmyres. The house was fabulous with plenty of room for everyone. Nothing was too much trouble if we asked for anything such as a wheelchair ramp. Highly recommend this home.

I had my 70th birthday party with all my family staying in Greenmyre Farmhouse. I had the most wonderful time because the house has everything, a touch of splendour, space, attention to detail, magnificent garden& hot tub and tourist attractions a plenty on the doorstep!
Our 4 legged friends loved it too! The children had their own space for toys- the snug, and loved running in the huge garden! The kitchen was spacious and well thought out. A brilliant place for family time! Thankyou!

This house is perfect for what we wanted a relaxing time with family before where the families could meet. The house was spacious enough we didn’t feel we were on top of each other all weekend but had enough large areas that we could come together when we wanted. Amazing service. Any issues were dealt with asap which was only a missing spare bed which was delivered within the hour.

One of the best places I have ever stayed! The place was lovely and big, flowed so well. Every tiny detail had been thought about, from the plastic glasses for the hot tub to even having a toast rack! Cannot recommend the place enough. It was lovely and clean, even got to see some great wildlife (hares boxing) as it was in such an amazing location. The interior design of the rooms are so lovely, very contemporary but in keeping with the old farm house. They are lovely big modern bedrooms and feel luxurious! The kitchen was AMAZING so big and equipped and the lounge felt so cosy! I wish this was my house!

If I was going to be REALLY picky (but these are no deal breakers) it was one shower away from being perfect (as the bee room and twin bedroom have to use other people’s en-suites so if someone is still sleeping you have to wait about a bit) and a wee lick of paint is maybe needed in some areas (I’m sure this is planned in though). Top tip would be to research to how to use and AGA before and take coffee and tea as there are only a few sachets.

Solid Luxury have also been very helpful they send you heaps of useful information before you go (more than I’ve had anywhere else) and are very friendly when you phone up for anything!

I’m already planning to book my stay again. It was so, so, so amazing!

Myself and a group of friends stayed for three nights at Greenmyre Farmhouse. The house was clean and presentable with lots of space and comfortable social areas. The house is down a farm track road and a good 15 minute drive from a small shop, so make sure you have everything you need. We enjoyed the remoteness of the location however with that meant poor phone signal/4G. This wasn’t an issue until we attempted to play music via Spotify. Unfortunately the WIFI in the house was extremely poor meaning we often were unable to stream any music. The house also had a SONOS system installed and smart TV, which did not work, we assumed because the wifi wasn’t good enough. It was very disappointing and felt wasteful that these extra touches didn’t work. We arrived at the accommodation at 4pm on Friday (which is slightly later than most check-in times), we were met by two friendly ladies who we assumed were meeting us with the keys, but they were dealing with the hot tub. The water level was sufficient which meant that night we weren’t able to use the hot tub as it look the whole evening to get back to the correct temperature. This was disappointing because the hot tub was one of the main reasons we booked the accommodation. On the day of check-out we were asked to be out at 10am. However, the staff appeared about 9.45am and began to get to work by seeing to the hot tub. It felt like we were being rushed out.
The kitchen was well equipped with kitchenware and cooking equipment. However, a few basic condiments like salt and pepper would have been nice! We ended up having to go to the shop for extra sugar, kitchen roll, tomato sauce and salt and pepper. There was also no cleaning products for cleaning the kitchen worktops etc which seemed odd considering the extra precautions we are all taking due to the pandemic. All these little extra touches would have made the stay more comfortable and homely.
Despite these issues, we did have a wonderful stay and the staff were friendly and helpful during the booking stage and when we had to reschedule due to the pandemic but we did feel rushed out on the day of checkout. The house is beautiful and great for a getaway with friends or family. Hopefully these tips will be taken onboard to improve the future stay of other guests. We would still recommend Greenmyre Farmhouse :).

I highly recommend this accommodation for families or groups of friends! The house is so nicely decorated and clean. Communication from Solid Luxury was great and they provided so much info on the house and surrounding area. The rooms are nicer than most hotel rooms! Lots of different seating areas and the garden is massive. The house is dog friendly too which is great although as the garden isn’t enclosed and it’s surrounding a working farm, dogs are required to be kept on a lead which wouldn’t suit my own dog (an energetic Labrador).
Overall a great experience and would book again!

We've had a fantastic holiday at Greenmyre Farmhouse. The house is stunning, as are the gardens and the area. Beautiful bedrooms and so much space. The kitchen is fantastic but does have an Aga which I think makes cooking for so many a bit of a struggle if you're no used to using one. My main gripe, and we were told that wifi could be intermittent, was that the wifi is very poor and the 4G signal is very weak 90% of the time come rain or shine. This is fine if you don't rely on it but 2 of us did for work and found ourselves disappearing off in the car to get some signal now and then. If wifi is not an issue then the place is amazing and you'll love it.

On the lead up to Greenmyre staff were very attentive. I loved the countdown emails I received ! The day we arrived the owner visited to welcome our stay. He was very helpful by providing information on what is around and provided details for any queries. The two day getaway was perfect for a friends gathering with ample lounging areas and comfort chairs. Plenty of privacy rooms maintained whilst allowing open rooms for group gatherings. The WiFi was very poor and was not working throughout our stay resulting in no outer communication (at times successful in the garden) and unfortunately we were unable to listen to music through the ceiling speakers. Other than that, we would definitely visit again !

We stayed for 5 days and it was great from start to finish the Aga in the kitchen is a great price of equipment and the hot tub was used every day. The location of the house is ideal for getting a break, there is limited signal and 4g and the wifi when working is slow but this allows you to get an actual break from everything for a short time. No complaints about the house at all. Plan on staying again.

We stayed in Greenmyre Farmhouse, just outside Kirriemuir for the Spring half term week. Grandparents, parents & grandchildren (aged 6, 8 & 12). What a fabulous property/location and we were lucky enough to have a week of sunshine in Scotland! All the rooms are spacious, many bathrooms & toilets, spotless and so beautifully decorated.
Best bits - The house is beautiful, everything we needed was supplied, even tea/ coffee & biscuits on arrival.
We ordered a food delivery for the evening so we could relax after a long journey from Norfolk with 7 of us in one vehicle and we had sufficient basics to get us going. Hot Tub - excellent, enjoyed by all & perfectly positioned with the sun & views, just outside the kitchen access. Garden - fantastic, neat and great for the many games of rounders & cricket we played! oh yes, the table football game in the kitchen was well used too !
We made the most of all the places to visit including Peter Pan adventure park in Kirriemuir, Brechin Castle Garden Centre, Balmoral & Braemar Castles, Lunan Bay beach, Loch of Kinnordy was a fabulous walk for us all into the town on a glorious day with fish & chips for our efforts. Reekie Linn Waterfall was also a good walk with a chance to paddle.
The staff were awesome and could not be more helpful - this could be due to the brilliant owners - we were lucky enough to meet Mr Simpson when he popped by to make sure we had everything we needed. He invited us up to Drum Fork for the children to see the animals (Deer/Llama/goats). We drove over (about 40 minutes) are were not disappointed - views were amazing, children loved feeding the animals & Florin (an employee) called the deer down for us to feed, this attracted the Llama and the children said one of the the best part of the holiday was feeding the animals.
To top it all, Mr Simpson phoned to apologise for not being at DrumFork when we went (he had no idea we were going) and hoped we were well looked after. I can confirm we really were well looked by all including his wife who met us as she was coming up her drive (she told us that someone would come and show us around) & another mention for Heather who went above and beyond to help me arrange a birthday cake for my husbands 60th birthday.
Overall an excellent holiday and with all the other accomodation options in Scotland with Solid Luxury, we will certainly be back again soon.

After so long being apart it was amazing to be able to get together with a few friends and have a beautiful relaxing week away in this idyllic location. We have preferred staycation holidays for several years as both my wife and I have done lots of foreign travel. With the pandemic we have managed to further reconnect with the Scottish countryside.

This house was terrific in all ways - secluded, modern, spacious, quiet. I was very impressed and noted the 4 days we had were very good value for money. The kitchen is excellent and using an AGA was fun! Rooms were extremely clean, and even on a working farm. For me there was no down side, but only two areas to improve upon - wifi wasn't great for the kids, and dipped out a bit. That to me wasn't a problem, but a teenager did have a melt down! The other was filling the hot tub as was used, with glee, regularly despite the cold, so perhaps a tip on a hose to fill during the time there if needed - perhaps I missed this in the instructions. These were minor in my view. We managed to get to Kirriemuir (Vissochi's ice cream..wow!), a socially distanced lunch outside with some relatives at Peel Farm, which was a lovely distraction. Lintrathen loch not far away as well. And if you wanted a bigger run, Glamis Castle and Dundee all with 20mins-40 mins away.

Will definitely be back - a great location, plenty of room to chill, and peace and quiet. Lovely. Thanks and see you again soon.

We have been staying with solid luxury for several years now. We have an annual ladies weekend in September and have stayed on several properties and we are never disappointed. We have had a couple of family holidays too! Greenmyre is simply beautiful and the AGA cooker, wow!!

I have also recommended the company to others who leave with the same intentions as us, returning soon!

Well done to all the team who work tirelessly to provide such a great service.

Beautiful house, nice and clean and more than adequate for our large group. Fast response to queries we had. Wifi and phone signal is quite poor but would be perfect for anyone after a digital detox. Would recommend.

Greenmyre farmhouse is as good as it is described and more. Beautiful, quiet location on a working farm. Great garden space for the kids and lots of indoor space for large groups of family and friends but still enough space to get some quiet time if also needed.

We go away as a family of 10 at least once a year and have stayed in various types of accomodation .This was our favourite so far, great for our age group of 12-66 not forgetting the dog .Lots of space and a great mix of modern yet country farmhouse feeling .
Greenmyre is great value for money cant wait to go again .

The farmhouse basically has everything needed for a self catering stay. Was a really nice touch to have dog bowls, wee dog blankets and bone chews. Unfortunately there wasn't a kettle but once contacted it was supplied the next day, however managed to boil water for tea/coffee. Was able to have shopping and a takeaway delivered.

The outdoor space is great, allowed our dogs to run freely and wander in and out of the kitchen. Although advised to keep them on the lead at all times they are used to country living and staying within garden space. Hot tub was well used.

Only issue I would raise is the twin room; the beds didn't seem that comfortable and those who had that room felt they were rather small. Also some of the slabs on the patio are loose but a quick fix.

A car is needed to go to most places, although farm shop and pub/café in within an hour's walking distance I wouldn't recommend walking unless used to country roads, but it is very relaxing. Lots of places to visit for walks and views.

Will definitely be returning to this farmhouse, and likely to use other accommodation also.

We had a wonderful time. I thought instructions on the Aga would have been helpful. It took us time to get the hot tub up and running however help was on hand.
A fireguard would be beneficial. We had a little one under two.

Wonderful week at Greenmyre Farm, really comfortable house with everything you could wish for, and nice and clean. WIFI can be a bit “hit and miss”, you need to be patient, and you can get a phone signal if you stand at a window. Have already recommended and a booking has been made for October. We would go back for sure.

The house was lovely, with fantastic views! The hot tub was great. The only couple of niggles were the dishwasher door need to be pushed in a certain way to make it work and the tumble dryer was not working, which didn’t help for getting towels to dry!

The house was great. The only downside was the temperature especially in the bedroom above the kitchen,however the weekend we were there was very hot . We loved having the big garden and the hot tub. It may be an idea to provide towels/gowns for use solely for the hot tub. Due to the size of the property it may be an idea to have more wine glasses as there weren't enough for everyone in the party. The beds were very comfortable as well as all the living areas.

A wonderfully well appointed property that fully lives up to the company name, it is indeed solid luxury in every respect, thoughtfully fitted and furnished throughout with all the requirements for a great escape. The generous size kitchen with floor to ceiling glass, opening to a generous decked area with hot tub made a special family birthday all the more memorable, the separate dining room and 2 public rooms gave ample space for our party of 10. We will have no hesitation in recommending this property and would certainly return again, 10 out of 10 to Solid Luxury.

Note: Wi-fi & mobile connectivity virtually non existent...try it its great for getting away from the anti social curse of gadgets!

We had a wonderful holiday staying in the Farmhouse in Kirriemuir. My husband and I with our 3 kids and our friends with their 3 kids (ages from 1 - 6) all stayed in the house for a week. It was easy to find, very clean, in great surroundings and very comfortable. The house had all we needed, the views and walks around were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Would highly recommend it and we will definitely be back.

We had a lovely break at Greenmyre Farmhouse over the Easter break and the weather was fantastic. The kids loved the hot tub as we did also. It was so peaceful with no wi fi unless you went up to the road, so peace perfect peace. Would recommend it for a lovely peaceful break. The house has been recently been refurbished and is looking fantastic and is very comfortable.
