What a treasure this place is! Huge & spotless. Communication from start to finish was just excellent. All the facilities we needed for our family of 9.
Only downside for us was we would have liked the garden to have been enclosed - we had a 5yr old, a 4 yr old & a 2 yr old with us.
There are some bits that need updating ie outside furniture but none of this is enough to put us off. Will definitely return. Thankyou for allowing us the use of your house!

Spacious, cosy accommodation ideal for a large party. Close proximity to St Andrews, albeit taxis required. All facilities we needed in kitchen. Helpful customer service throughout and excellent value for a large party. Only downside was poor water flow from some of the showers otherwise we were all very impressed with our choice of accommodation

We had a truly amazing weekend at Vicarsford Farm to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday with our ever growing family. The house was very homely, immaculate, warm with plenty space for everyone to move around and the bedrooms were all absolutely beautiful, as were the 3 en-suites and the shared bathroom. There are stunning from every window and we were lucky to get beautiful sun rises and sun sets. The family enjoyed the pool and the hot tub was the absolute favourite for everyone. The Solid Luxury team could not have been more attentive in the run up to our stay and made it crystal clear where to call if we had any queries when we arrived. We left Monday morning feeling relaxed and exhilarated at having had the most amazing weekend and my family repeatedly said I’d hit gold finding the house for such a big celebration. I can’t rate it highly enough. We will be back for sure. Thank you.

We stayed here dec 2023 the location is fabulous between Dundee and St Andrews but still in country. The farm house is large with 5 bedrooms, very clean, loved the hot tub and the open fire, having the pool room was fabulous and great fun, but the pool table definitely needs recovered, quite a lot of rips and scores on table, wouldn’t take much to get it re covered. Great fun having pool competitions. Beds were super comfy, kitchen were supplied with all the utensils, and found the garage with the table tennis in it, although didn’t play it much bit cold with it being dec. just had to watch going out to hot tub at night as the night light outside wasn’t working, harder to find your footing in the dark. Overall lovely few days away such a handy location so much to do surrounding areas. Lovely and peaceful, but the actual farm house could do with getting updated and a bit more modern.

3 generations enjoyed a 3 night weekend- we had great weather which allowed us to visit many local attractions -Tentsmuir beach, St Andrew’s, Craigtoun Park & kayaking on River Tay from Wormit Bay with Outdoor Explore. House was well proportioned with equal sized bedrooms, nice bedding & linen, cosy, well equipped.

An excellent venue for our multi generational family holiday. It was very spacious with room to escape when necessary! All bedrooms bar one were very large and comfortable. One star removed for showers in the en suites being awkward, but family bathroom one was excellent. A well equipped kitchen served our needs very well, once the Aga had been mastered!
The garden was extensive and great for our 4 children....it is not fully secure, however, so had we had an inquisitive dog with us, it may have been an issue.
All in all, a fabulous place to stay and explore the local area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Farmhouse was spacious, spotless and very well equipped. Our kids loved sitting playing the piano (and pool & table tennis) Beds were comfy. Lovely gardens however, we never noticed there was a gate which could be closed to make the gardens enclosed which was a shame for our 3 chow chows. Once we noticed the gate (day 4 ) the dogs loved having the freedom to roam about. We will definitely be back!

This was the perfect house for our family holiday. It is spacious, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. It suited the mixed age groups both inside and outside the house. The garden was ideal for children to run around in. I would suggest that it would be good to have more outside seats, especially on the days when the sun shone! We had to take chairs out from the house which is not ideal. That apart, we would definitely recommend the house and the location. It is very close to both St. Andrews and Dundee and not far from the many lovely places to visit in Fife.

We had a fantastic family weekend at Vicarsford Farmhouse for our folks 80th birthdays - all the rooms were so spacious and comfortable, and we loved that there were plenty of social spaces to relax in for the different age groups we had with us. The hot tub was perfect and really enjoyed using it. The farmhouse had everything we could possibly need for a long weekend stay. Near to St Andrew’s for a wander around the shops, and we loved nipping to Balgove for some delicious food goodies. Would highly recommend for a group stay.

This is a lovely property for a group stay, with plenty of spaces for getting together or staying apart! The bedrooms are all spacious, with great storage space, and very comfortable. The bathrooms and shower rooms are all well-appointed, though the shower head in the master bathroom seems out of proportion to the room and the other fittings!!
There is a lovely garden and the conservatory is great space for everyone to get together. The house has very effective heating and is beautifully quiet overnight.

Was a good size for large gatherings plenty rooms for everyone. Bedrooms good size too with clean comfortable beds. Pool table had some damage on it didn’t stop play though. Hall carpet was torn and worn in places. With Aga being on all the time and having small children a fire guard would have been useful. Considering what you pay to hire think cots , high chairs etc could have been included in the price. Shame we couldn’t make use of garden area as grass was so long. All said family all enjoyed our time away.

Vicarsford Farhouse is in a beautiful peaceful location but a short drive to St Andrews for lovely walks and shops. We visited Tensmuir Forest and Beach which is a stunning location a very short drive away from the house.

The farmhouse is beautiful, very clean, well equipped and has everything you need for a family or friends holiday for 10 people.

The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for 10 people.

You can sit at the kitchen table or at conservatory table for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The bedrooms are large, lots of storage, beds are very comfortable, bedding looks new and very clean and we all had a great nights sleep.

Bathrooms are very clean and have beautiful soap and shampoo provided.

The two living rooms have comfortable seating to relax and chat or watch TV.

There was 8 adults staying in the house for 3 nights from Friday to Monday. We enjoyed going in the hot tub each afternoon, playing pool in the games room at night and table tennis in the garage in the morning.

This is my second stay at Vicarsford Farmhouse and have already recommended it to family and friends. I would definitely return again for another family or friends holiday.

Solid Luxury are an excellent company to book with, they provide excellent customer service.

We have already booked with them again for next year to go to another property Greenmyre Farmhouse and we can’t wait.

A great place, perfect for get togethers. Plenty space & hot tub a bonus. Garden not fully secure and the farm is adjacent to the house (if your dogs are prone to going wandering), but would thoroughly recommend.

The house was amazing, clean, well maintained and all the equipment we needed for our family weekend stay in November.

The pool table in the games room and table tennis table in the garage was well used by all the family.

The kitchen had everything you needed to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for 10 people. With a big kitchen table to sit 6 people.

The two lounges with TV’s were great if we wanted to watch different things on the TV. The conservatory was great to relax in or sit at the large round table with 10 seats for a meal.

The bedrooms were large, clean and comfortable for a good nights sleep with 3 en-suite bathrooms plus a family bathroom.

The hot tub was excellent to relax in at the end of each day.

The location was lovely and peaceful and just 15 minutes away from St Andrew with shops and a supermarket.

Tentsmuir Sands is only 4 miles away and is a stunning beach for a lovely walk.

We would highly recommend this house to family and friends. I have booked again to stay at Vicarsford Farmhouse with 8 friends in March and we all can’t wait.

We booked this house for family to meet up at for my 40th birthday. Reviews all lead to believe a good visit was to be had and they were not wrong. Huge amounts of space for dogs, kids and adults, great facilities, very comfy beds, showers all great. Kitchen well equipped. Literally can't complain about anything.

We had a lovely time staying in this property. Very comfortable and was fully equipped. The views are amazing, and the beach is beautiful. We were lucky with the weather though. The pool table is a wee bonus, and the conservatory so bright and airy. Lovely looking at the stars whilst sitting in the hot tub too. Slightly pricey, but definitely worth the money. We’ll be back!

This house is fantastic!! Six of us stayed and travelled daily to area golf courses. This farmhouse is located 20 minutes outside of St Andrews and 30 minutes from Carnoustie. This is a beautiful, large and well maintained property. Thanks!!

Having previously stayed at Vicarsford Farmhouse in 2018, we were very much looking forward to returning this year. The positioning of this house is ideal if you want privacy, which we do, and having two dogs, the gardens are perfect. We had great fun playing family games in the garden and kids and adults both had good fun playing pool and table tennis.
On the downside, the hot tub is tired and before the end of our stay was cloudy and uninviting and the furniture throughout the downstairs is not that comfortable to sit on.
The bath in the main bathroom is deep and should really have a bathmat to stop people slipping or a grab handle to hold onto. Having slipped getting into the bath and falling, this is something of first hand experience.
This house is definitely welcoming and ideal for large parties and hopefully one day we may return.

Vicarsford Farmhouse was the perfect weekend stay for a large group to spend the weekend together. It had everything we could possibly need and there was plenty to do in and around the house. We had really good weather so the huge outdoor space was perfect to spend the day in, a few loungers would have been perfect! We are already all saying how much we would love to come back! Thank you for having us!

A regular at a few of solid luxury properties but felt that this property felt short of standard expected for the company. Lovely big house but downstairs very old fashioned and dated could be doing with a lick of paint. kitchen also back to front whilst cooking and could be doing with a redesign Whilst upstairs was a bit more modern I felt this was not your usual standards and unfortunately won’t be returning to this property. Much nicer modern properties for the same price at your other locations

We had a family holiday for a week , 9 of us and 2 dogs up at Vicarsford Farmhouse . The Farmhouse was just about the right size for our family , very spacious and quaint . Plenty of space for 3 separate families , plenty of parking . Isolated without being isolated from civilisation , 5 mins into Tayport . Only 15 mins from Dundee . Bedrooms being a good size , fantastic views . Only negative that i had was that the garden needed to be dog secure . But this didn’t spoil our stay , as i would definitely stay her again . 9.5/10 .

Stayed for 3 nights, 4 couples.
Lots of space inside the house to accommodate everyone comfortably.
Bedrooms were spacious and everyone reported that the beds were very comfortable with good quality bed linens.
Bath & a hand towel was supplied for each person.
Adequate cooking facilities, 2 electric ovens & hob. Enough plates/cutlery/glasses etc.
One suggestion would be to have a ‘coffee maker’ in the kitchen, there was a Cafetière, however, for 8 adults we seemed to constantly refilling, not any great hardship to do but a machine would have been better.
Unfortunately the Aga wasn’t working during our stay but there was still more than enough space to cook for 8 people.
Lovely dining room that seats 10 as well as a table in the large kitchen.
Hot tub was good, however, with 8 adults in it, there wasn’t much space and the temperature of the water dropped significantly very quickly. Still a fun time was had.
We loved the isolation of the farm, although it was only 15 minutes from St Andrew’s.
Lovely Farm shop on the way to St Andrews, with Farm shop & Cafe.
Lots of lovely walks in the surrounding area.

We had a lovely break at Vicarsford Farmhouse. It was well equipped, comfortable and peaceful.
The bedrooms are lovely and the whole place was impeccably clean. There was a bit of wear and tear on some of the carpets but otherwise no issues.

We had a lovely stay at Vicarsford Farm. celebrating our daughters 30th birthday. The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. The beautiful kitchen with aga stove with large table comfortably accommodated our party of 7 adults and 2 children. There was so much space to spread out. Conservatory, large lounge, pool room. Large comfortable beds. Luxury bathrooms. Great showers. The hot tub made the whole experience very relaxing. Would highly recommend.

My friends and I had an excellent stay at Vicatrsford Farmhouse. The house itself was big, warm, comfortable - certainly a lot larger than the images in the advert gave off. Plenty of space for everyone. We had lots to keep ourselves entertained from the Hot Tub, Pool Table, Table Tennis, etc. The house was easy to find and easy to get access to. Thank you for having us, we'll definitely be back next year :)

A few small maintenance issues to be taken care of but nothing that spoiled the stay.

a very enjoyable stay, lovely place, lots of positives , pool room was a bonus and table tennis in garage was also good fun , very spacious , the conservatory is a large and lovely place to sit down for drinks or meals, some beautiful pictures and quirky ornaments, in need of a little tender and care in parts though would not stop me rebooking , my only real negative , which could be easily remedied would be , it needs a few more gates up around the property if you are taking a dog this to me would make the property pretty close to perfect . hot tub also a bonus ,

The setting is lovely and the house has plenty of room. Some parts need attention and updated but wouldn't put us off going back.
We didn't venture out, just chilled in the hot tub and playing pool.

We went for my mums 50th and we all absolutely loved it. We took our dog and she loved it the most I think with the size of the garden. Great fields around aswell to go a walk around. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

The house was amazing, would fully recommend it . The only issue we had was the shower in the main bathroom did not work but in fairness they did call me to say beforehand. The rooms were clean and tidy . Drumoig golf course nearby (very good and reasonably priced) . The gardens were well kept and the hot tub was well used by us . The pool table could do with a recover . Overall brilliant place .

Really enjoyed our stay at Vicarsford Farmhouse for our family celebration weekend. Beautiful, spacious home with fabulous facilities and super-comfy beds - our guests were well impressed. Lovely clean hot tub that was serviced every day too - super pool table was in constant use.

Only small issue is that the bottom oven of the double oven in kitchen needs attention. Not warming up at all - probs needs a new heating element fitted. We've already recommended the property to family and friends - without question a great house for a celebration. Thank you so much. Gill

This Farmhouse was perfect in every way. From arriving to leaving, we were staying in Solid Luxury. The Farmhouse met and exceeded all our expectations. We had more than enough room and our only regret was that we didn't spend more time to enjoy the luxury of the Farmhouse. Location was perfect and the atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, tranquil and comfortable. The gardens were lovely and the inside of the Farmhouse was well looked after and made us feel at home. We would not hesitate to book this property again. This property will take a lot of beating and is far above the best holiday accommodation we have ever had.

Enjoyed a large family holiday at Vicarsford. Booking was easy, customer service excellent. Bedrooms and beds were wonderful, bathrooms well appointed and supplied. We all enjoyed sitting in the conservatory and the large kitchen with Aga. We had a problem with a shower one evening and on reporting a very pleasant maintenance engineer arrived within 15 minutes and got the problem sorted. Excellent service.
We also enjoyed the gardens and made full use of the lovely weather we were lucky to have. Location was fine, with Tentsmuir beaches and wood just a few minutes away and easy access to places like St. Andrews and Dundee.
Would recommend Vicarsford farmhouse.

Great house that accepts dogs but doesn’t look or smell like it does. Very clean and lots of space.Wee cafe on road to Tentsmuir is lovely (and close).

Customer service is amazing.

Only thing that would have made it better would have been if garden had been secure for dogs to run around.

My family and I stayed at vicarsford from 18th-20th September and we absolutely loved it.
Theres not much in walking distance from the house, however, the house comes with a pool table and table tennis which kept us entertained for the weekend.
The hot tub was great too!

We had the most amazing time at vicarsford farm we went as a group of friends and found it to be so much more than the photos show! The value for money is great, as stated so much more than we expected. The location is ideal for large group of friends as there is nothing surrounding the house, the customer service team were also very pleasant in our dealings with them. We did hope to rebook but it’s fully booked for the remainder of the year! We will hopefully return next year

We stayed here as a family of 6 adults (3 couples) and 2 children aged 9 and 12.

The Farmhouse offers lots of personal space for all and complete privacy in its location as well as giving easy access to St Andrews, Dundee, etc. We loved it and just didn’t want to leave when our week was up.

The house is extremely spacious and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. A very large fridge in the kitchen and freezer in the utility room meant we could fully stock for the week (we arranged a Tesco delivery for just after our arrival time) and barely had to shop again. Very clean and comfortable, including quality beds, and with an excellent washing machine and tumble drier, it really was home from home. The hot tub (now a must for our family get togethers), pool room and table tennis, not to mention the piano, were much appreciated and well used.

We were favoured with excellent warm, and sometimes sunny weather, for the whole week which meant we were also able to enjoy the extensive garden grounds. Oh, and I should mention the Aga which we adored and made great use of.

In short, we had an absolute ball and would definitely book again.

A brilliant stay at Vicarsford. The space is fantastic, enough room for everyone to be together but not on top of each other. The grounds are beautiful, and the hot tub and pool table add that little extra.

We had a few issues, including a local area power cut, and the team couldn’t have been more helpful.

We look forward to returning soon!

Everything was great for us, the kitchen was big enough to fit us all in, the lounge was nice with the fire lit, and the games room provided hours of entertainment. The hot tub was amazing - but the decking around it was quite slippery.

Everyone had a great time, we're already talking about going back.

The only negative we have is that is worth mentioning one of our party stood on a raised staple sticking through the carpet in the lounge and it punctured her foot. This staple was removed and all other areas of the carpet were checked before we took our shoes off again.

We stayed with the whole family for Christmas and found the house cosy and welcoming - the conservatory was a little chilly but we opened all the doors to warm it up before we planned on eating there. Any minor issues were fixed daily by the visiting handyman who also checked the hot tub.

Only issue is the garden. it's a gorgeous garden and absolutely enormous but it's so unsafe and insecure for dogs or children. the garden is open on both sides of the house, and the only gate is at the bottom of the long drive. The farmer opens this gate at random points during the day, there were other side gates open into the farmyard, and there appeared to be people staying in the buildings on the drive as there were other cars. you really could not let a dog or child explore unsupervised as at any point a farm vehicle could appear in the gardens, the bin lorry comes up to the house too. It's a shame, as it was winter is wasn't a huge deal but if we went in the summer there would be no chance on lying enjoying a book in the sun as you would have to be constantly supervising children or have a dog on a lead. It's a shame, all it would take is a fence splitting the garden into a front and a back garden and then I would say this house is 100% perfect.

We all had a great time. Our teenage grandchildren particularly enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, table tennis and the piano and also the space of the house. Staff were very supportive and helpful. The lighting level in some rooms was poor and the length of time it took to come up to full power in certain areas was disconcerting.

Only downfalls were ,the conservatory was toooo cold to use at night time for our evening meal and a better off fenced area for the dogs in the garden would've been good ,we had to shut the main gate at top of driveway just in case dogs got out,tv's in ALL bedrooms would've been handy too

We were all ‘blown away’ by the quality and spaciousness of the farmhouse when we arrived. Every member of our party was delighted with their bedrooms: the en-suite rooms making it much more comfortable for all. We had busy toddlers who loved all the space and very much enjoyed the space to run around. The hot tub was fabulous and was well used and enjoyed.

We loved the spaciousness and range of downstairs rooms available to us; this meant everyone was well catered for. A quiet corner could be found to read, t.v. could be watched in peace, or a game of snooker could be enjoyed. The conservatory was a fabulous shared eating space. We were fortunate to have a pianist in our party and enjoyed a few accompaniments on the piano. A lovely surprise.

Had the weather been warmer we may have made more use of the garden space. Garden grounds were lovely, again, lots of space. It would have been helpful to have had the garden space secure, so that lively toddlers and old, confused dogs could be safely housed.

Everyone enjoyed a fabulous few days in high quality, relaxing surroundings. The location was ideal, being close to lots of places of interest. Dog walks from the house itself were somewhat restricted, being on a working farm accessed by a fairly narrow, busy road. There were lots of fabulous walks to be had within a short travel distance.

We would certainly recommend this accommodation and would love to stay again.

A fabulous house for a three generation family holiday (age range 19-76) with three dogs. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Snug was mainly the domain of the two grandsons where they could play their computer games or watch tv. The main lounge was for watching tv, reading books or just relaxing. The pool table was in use most evenings with many games played with enthusiasm and much rivalry between all players. We used the conservatory for quiet relaxation with the dogs and reading. The large kitchen/diner was where we all ate our meals. Plenty of utensils, pans etc although we did run out of some crockery and cutlery if they had been used for in between meal snacks. Perhaps some more could be purchased? We did find the layout of the kitchen island somewhat confusing, eg kettle opposite side to the water taps. The bedrooms were very spacious with three being en-suite and a family bathroom for the other two. Towels large and fluffy and toiletries a lovely extra. Plenty of wardrobe space for clothes. Outside, the hot tub was used quite a lot and when it was sunny we sunbathed in the garden, which was very large, and the dogs loved having a romp, although we did have to watch them as the garden is not secure. We found the seclusion of the farmhouse just what we wanted, remote enough to give us the feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle of life but near enough to civilisation to buy all the essentials.

We booked the property for a family birthday celebration and it was ideal for this. The property is beautiful and we had everything we needed to make this a memorable weekend. Fantastic location and sufficient parking for the friends who joined us on the Saturday afternoon. The children were able to play safely both inside the property and in the grounds. Everyone has said they would definitely go back.

A wonderful property for a party of 3 generations of family to enjoy a week together. There was something for everyone including the hot tub, table tennis, pool table and beautiful gardens and views. We enjoyed the easy and level walk from the house to the bird reserve at Morton Lochs, the proximity to Tentsmuir beach and forest for little ones to play on the beach, bigger ones to run on the tracks and beach and older ones to relax and nearby St Andrews of course. The house and gardens are beautifully maintained and location excellent and we will certainly return at some point.

This was our second year at Vicardsford, we love the cottage. The boys play golf at Drumoig who offer great deals. 4 ball plus buggy £100. The local pub that we used last year was not as we expected not the friendly chat we were spoilt with last year I think it must have changed hands. We ate at the Riverside Veiw over the bridge and Birkhill in Dundee both very good..one of the group was in a wheelchair so we struggled going to St Andrews.as their is poor access .There was more bin space this year which was better than last year when they were near full on arrival..more cooking pots have been made available..... WiFi as said is poor , I think this might be so to force you to spend £4 per day hooking in to BT... which we didn’t.....The hot tub is fantastic one of the best I’ve been in .... deposit is a bit high to pre book I had to lay out £500, I booked last April . Other cottages we have booked do not take a near third up front...

We had a great time here. 10 of us (7 adults, 3 kids and a dog). Rooms were perfect. Comfy beds. Kitchen had all the basics you would need. We enjoyed the pool table, hot tub and selection of board games. House was warm enough and handy man came and introduced himself on the first night and told us how to change temp on thermostat if we wanted to. He was there to fix a bulb that had gone out and had been reported by the previous guests who had only checked out the same day.
We got a Tesco shopping delivered which I would recommend. The grounds and garden were very well kept and it was a shame we didn’t have better weather to enjoy them more. It didn’t keep us from the hot tub though. Wee tip, put your towels in the tumble drier so they are nice and warm for when you get out.
Location of the house is fine. You defo need a car to go to the nearest beach and other attractions.
All in all a very well equipped and comfortable place for a get away. Would love to try it out in the summer when the weather is better.

Love this place! This was my second visit with a different group of people and everyone was very impressed with Vicarsford. It’s so spacious and comfortable and is very well equipped. It was great having the conservatory so we could all have a lovely sit down Sunday lunch and not feel crammed. I chose the house originally because it has a hot tub and pool table and also a table tennis table hidden away in the garage so there is plenty to keep yourself occupied. Having a very well kept beach on your doorstep is great too! We had great weather and even managed to have an Easter egg hunt in the garden for the kiddies and adults alike!

If I had one criticism it would be the layout of the kitchen work station. It was just a wee bit annoying having to keep going round to the other side when you wanted utensils, plates and to fill the kettle etc but this is just my opinion and it wouldn’t stop me going back.

Stay was excellent. Very spacious accommodation with plenty room for our large party. Accommodation included 2 lounges and a large conservatory, a spacious well equipped kitchen/dining room, a pool room plus 5 bedrooms. Outside there was plenty room including a well used hot tub. There was also table tennis in the garage. Basically something for everyone and not far from St Andrews or Dundee. Located next to a farm near St Michaels it was extremely quiet and relaxing - just what we were looking for!

solid luxury! lives up to its name, this beautiful accommodation was perfect to for the family to celebrate 70th birthday celebrations. all the family made happy memories here and would most definitely return. farmhouse was big and kids loved playing hide and seek and the pool table perfect for teenage boys to be kept occupied not to mentions their dads!! if looking for somewhere special to spend time with family/friends or somewhere just to escape too then this would be the place!!

Enjoyed our weekend stay at the farmhouse it was so spacious and everything there we needed.The only thing was there was no where we could do long walks as it was near a main road with no pavements the nearest place was a lovely forest 4 miles away. Apart from that really enjoyed ourselves and would go back again and definitely recommend it to friends.

This was our second stay at Vickersford and it was just as amazing as we remembered ! We are a big family across four generations and with teenagers, toddlers and dogs in the mix everyone had a brilliant time with lots to keep us all entertained and enough space to not feel on top of each other whilst having lovely commumal space to spend time together as a family ! The location is beautiful and the gardens are extensive and immaculately cared for - we had lots of run with the kids and dogs running around them ! The kitchen facilities are great for the number of people and I particularly love the arga - stick something together in the morning and have it cook away while you all enjoy the day to have a tasty meal ready that evening !

We had a lovely weekend at Vicarsford Farmhouse despite the weather. The house is very spacious with plenty of room and the bedrooms are really nice. It was a beautiful day when we arrived on Friday and we made the most of the lovely garden and hot-tub. We had a wedding in Cupar on the Saturday and it was torrential rain and windy but the reception was at the Rhynd which was only 5 minutes away from the farmhouse which was great for us. More rain on Sunday but with the pool table and table tennis in the garage there was plenty for adults and children to do. The farm next door bread pigs so the children enjoyed seeing them too. Its a great location for getting to St Andrews and surrounding villages and we would recommend it to friends wishing to visit the area.

Vicarsford Farmhouse was perfect location for our girls weekend away and the Leuchars Taxi firm had a 7 seater taxi which was handy for visiting St Andrews. Lots of separate rooms and all were very spacious. The hot tub was great although the light kept on going out when we were in so maybe an option to keep it on? Also as it only comfortably sat 4 people perhaps garden chairs could be provided so the rest of the party can stay and chat. Actually this was the only thing we felt was missing as it was a lovely weekend and other than the static outdoor furniture there was no where to sit and enjoy the sun. We appreciated the service from the Solid Luxuary support staff who were extremely polite and friendly and dealt with the missing bathrobes promptly. I've only marked down the Value for Money as it was quite expensive for 7 people but appreciate if there were 10 it would work out cheaper. Saying that we did use all the rooms!

Our family of 10 enjoyed five days at Vicarsford in early July - and we all thought that it was terrific.

It's even bigger than the website photos might suggest with lots of space inside in the halls, some massive bedrooms and a wonderful garden for small kids to run around in. Its proximity to St Andrews, Tentsmuir beaches was a real bonus, especially with this wonderful spell of weather!! It's a comfortable

Our only criticisms were small - though they do need attention. Sharp knives should be sharp enough for the food preparation tasks. They should provide dishcloths (none)/dish towels (only 2). Some instructions on the AGA operation would be helpful to those of us that don't have them + advice on glass recycling options.


But these are relatively minor issues - it's just such an amazing place.

We've already upgraded the knives (very sharp now, minor accident when unpacking them...whoops haha). There should have been a sponge and cloth at the sink area for your use so we'll ensure the housekeeping team remember to leave these out and the AGA instructions should have been in the drawer next to the AGA, again we will ensure these are still there. We've had problems with bin companies at Vicarsford but are happy to say we think we've finally found a solution so will hopefully introduce glass recycling there along with the current plastic and cardboard. We hope to welcome you back to Vicarsford or any of our other locations in the future.

Excellent accommodation for 10 people , nice and clean , beds very comfortable. plenty space downstairs . Hot tub well maintained.. local pub food brilliant at St.Michaels hotel. Staff first class.... we are going back next year..
few lows....could do with more pots & more kitchen utensils . The bins were nearly full on our arrival we had to crush them down so we could use them. A courtesy phone call might have been nice from the suppliers to check everything was ok.. deposit to book a bit on the high side 30%....WiFi poor however this was advised on the booking documents.

Vicarsford farmhouse was exactly what we were looking for our girls weekend away. The house was spacious with ample living room which allowed us to relax individually or as a group. The farmhouse was easy to get to and was a short drive away from the beach which meant we could walk off our energy during the day and then relax in the fabulous hot tub at night. A great farmhouse for a group weekend away!

Vicardsford Farmhouse is an excellent house for an escape in the country. The house is very big, very clean and well stocked. We were there as a group of girls for a 30th birthday and loved the hot tub. All the rooms gave us plenty of space for all the things we wanted to do over the weekend. SolidLuxury provided great customer service with someone stopping by to ensure we got checked in okay and answer any questions we had on the house. Would highly recommend.

Vicarsford farmhouse was beautiful, spacious, immaculate condition and had everything we needed for a weekend away and more. Hot tub was ready to use and amazing and kitchen fully equipped with all we needed. Pool room was great.
Bedrooms are all very luxurious and all 10 of us thought the beds were super comfortable.
Can’t fault it at all and we hope to return next year. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Victorsford Farmhouse at the beginning of our family trip to Scotland. We could not check in until 4 PM and we had landed in Glasgow at 8 AM after a transatlantic flight with no sleep. We were bedraggled and exhausted as we checked in, but as soon as we did so, we find ourselves in all at the beautiful condition, size and well appointed nature of the farmhouse. We use that as our base to visit my childhood homes and Scottish relatives.

I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a base to explore Scotland, or at least the parts of Scotland between Aberdeen in the north and Edinburgh in the South. It would easily accommodate eight – 10 people. I particularly loved spending time in the evening in the hot tub after a long day of touring.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my family for my 40th celebrations. The farmhouse is amazing. It is enormous with so much space inside. The bedrooms are excellent and 3 have ensuite. The conservatory is a welcome addition and is a superb space for socialising. The kitchen has all the facilities that you need. There is loads of garden space for the kids to run about in and my 4 & 7 year old loves it. They were also hardly ever out of the hot tub. There are two living rooms which meant the kids could watch there programmes in one and the adults in the other. There was also a large games room with a pool table. As a keen pool player this too was a welcome addition. There is also a table tennis table in the garage. There is a large wet room at the back which would be ideal if you had dogs. Its close to St Michaels which has a great little pub/restaurant and the staff were brilliant, particularly with the kids. It's about 15/20 drive to St Andrews where there is loads to do. We were very lucky with the weather for the whole weekend which added to the enjoyment.
All in all this property is superb and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a countryside location but close to civilisation.

Spent a brilliant weekend at Vicarsford Farmhouse celebrating a big birthday with our family. The house is wonderful and so spacious for a large group as you can all spread about and not get in each others way. We found the house warm and cosy all of the time. The bedrooms were beautiful and extremely comfortable. We were in the master which was great but felt we could have done with a chair as there was only a stool at the dressing table. The house was well equipped but there could have been a few more games and maybe a pack of cards. The hot tub was super and enjoyed by all the family. Our two dogs and puppy also had a great time and they enjoyed the nearby Tentsmuir Beach enormously as we did. Short drive to St.Andrews was enjoyed by some of our family for the afternoon while others justed enjoyed staying at the house relaxing. Definitely a hit with us and we would highly recommend Vicarsford Farmhouse.

The Farmhouse itself was massive and all the rooms gorgeous and even with a goup of 8 prIvacy wasn't compromised. The hot tub was superb and used plenty.
