Windward Apartment 21 is a fantastic ground floor apartment located on the shores of Lake Windermere. The perfect getaway for couples to escape to the Lakes and not be in the hustle and bustle of it all, yet only a 10-minute walk away from the vibrant town of Bowness on Windermere.

Park up directly outside this property and step through the private front door into this ground floor apartment. To your left you will discover the Master bedroom with a plush double bed, large built-in wardrobes, chest of draws and a television providing the perfect space to relax in comfort.

Next door, the slate-grey tiled bathroom features a large walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin with LED mirror.

The cosy open-plan kitchen and living room is a marriage of textures and colours – think rustic charm with warm and natural colour pops. The cosy ‘L’ shape sofa is the perfect place to snuggle up and watch your favourite movie in complete comfort.

Cook up a romantic meal for 2 in the kitchen and sit down at the bistro dining table to enjoy your delicious dinner. Open up the sliding door to the large sun-kissed patio and enjoy the backdrop of birdsong or perhaps retreat to the outdoor furniture for dessert or an after-dinner aperitif, whilst you admire the peaceful marina.

We have stayed at the Marina eight times in various apartments which are always immaculately clean. The welcome pack is much appreciated. Apartment 21 is warm and cosy with a lovely outlook over the Marina. It would benefit from the provision of a new bed (king size). We look forward to visiting the Marina again in the future.

We stayed in Winward Apartment 21 for 4 nights. The apartment was squeaky clean when we arrived. Well supplied with all necessary equipment. The outlook over the Marina was super, and the prevailing atmosphere was calm and quiet. It was very cold out during our stay, but the apartment was so warm that we ended up turning the thermostat down.
The only down side that I found was the settee. Being of a 'certain age' I much prefer a chair with arms. But as this is a personal choice, it should not really count as a negative.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone who desires a few days of peace and quiet, with a great oullook, and in a very desirable location.I have no doubt that we will return.

Really enjoyed our 3 nights at Windermere Marina Village. The apartment is ideally situated on the Marina & includes everything we required. Peaceful setting yet only a 10 minute walk by the lake to Bowness & everything that has to offer

Great location especially if you like boating been associated with WMV for over 20yrs always nice to come back. Bowness only a short stroll for bars and restaurants. Parking is also a premium right outside the apt. Been before and will go again . Excellent.

We have stayed here nearly every year and had apartment 21 last year. It is of a high standard but is starting to look a little tired. The village has a relaxing atmosphere and when the sun shines it could equal anywhere abroad. Ten minutes walk from the town centre with all the amenities, a perfect location.

We have a fantastic stay at the Marina.
The apartment is located in a quiet location with excellent views of the marina and a nice balcony. It is only a 10 -15 minute walk to in a beautiful path either through a meadow or via the lakeside with amazing views to Bowness.
The apartment was clean, high quality, plenty of space to move around and store holiday stuff. The receptionist was friendly, easy to check in and out and the marina was very clean and well maintained. There was a parking space right behind the flat so no lugging luggage a distance, looking for a space or paying a fortune for parking.
Bowness is one of the best places in the Lake District for seeing the Lakes and plenty of things to do indoors if it is raining. If you don’t want to drive it is very easy to use buses which go everywhere, boats or there is a train station in Marina.
When we return this will definitely be top of or list to say as can’t think of anywhere nicer.

We stayed Mon- Saturday, our second visit to this apartment.
Positive- We love the location, the fact that its ground floor and pet free are both key for us. Great size for 2 people with all you would expect from a full kitchen. Powerful shower in the bathroom.
Negative- we gave this same feedback last year that the curtains in the bedroom do not keep the light out at night. Especially with such bright outside lighting in the car park and entrance way. We had to resort to hanging a blanket at the window in order to sleep.
The mattress may need changing- we kept rolling together in the middle of the bed . My husband also found the bed too short.
We also discovered after unpacking after arriving that the apartment had no water in the hot taps of shower. As it was discovered after reception was closed we rang the out of hours which went to a mobile voice mail that did not identify itself as connected to the Marina village. I resorted to Facebook and got a response but this seemed a poor way to get hold of someone. The plumber did get us sorted but it was a disappointing start- I’m not sure if the apartment was checked over or cleaned before we checked in without this not being spotted. Also as a customer service point nobody checked on us over the week to see if things were still ok.
All our feedback is given to be constructive as we very much enjoyed our holiday but we were glad to get home for a good nights sleep. We would recommend the apartment to others but mention the bedroom issues.

We are sorry that you had no hot water upon arrival and the out of hours number wasnt working and you had to resort to facebook messenger. This falls short of the standard we strive to maintain, Please accept our apologies for this and that no one came to check you were ok.
