My wife and I booked this apartment for short stay during March to celebrate my 70th birthday, our wedding anniversary and our dog's 4th birthday! Excellent decision. With a stunning view over the marina, a clean and spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, plenty of wardrobe space and a welcome pack which provided more than enough kitchen cleaning supplies for a few days (even some small bars of hand soap and a full kitchen towel roll), we were very impressed. Another positive was that even though on the ground floor, the balcony area was surprisingly private due to it being raised higher than expected from the marina walkways.
My wife couldn't praise the reception staff enough - Joanna and Hannah went above and beyond to liaise with her secretly and ensure that my birthday was extra special.
Having the onsite Marina View Restaurant was an added bonus. Beautiful views and food - and super dog friendly.
If pushed for anything to make the stay even better: the apartment bathroom is in need of some small repairs - the flooring grouting is worn and discoloured in places; also some rust was appearing on the bottom of the radiator and there were a couple of screw caps missing on the mirror.
Our only other thoughts are that it would be helpful to have some small grassed areas nearer the accommodation for dogs to use at night - especially if the weather is not as good as we were privileged to experience - and, on a very minor point, for those unable to consume much caffeine, but still love coffee, decaffeinated coffee pods would be a welcome option to buy so more guests can enjoy the coffee machine!
However, none of these points have put us off and we definitely want to return as soon as we can.

Loved the apartment, everything you needed, fantastic shower, lovely and warm especially in February, very easy walking distance to bowness and 3 minutes to the restaurant/ bar onsite. Definitely be back absolutely lovely place and onsite staff eg reception and maintenance were amazing. Xx

Absolutely amazing stay as always. Been here many times and in the same apartment 22...staff are brilliant so helpful and always polite.
Apartment well equipped for your stay and always emaculate...prime area to just park up and walk to the lake which has many shops and places to eat.

I have booked this apartment many times over a number of years because of its location, size & ground floor position. All the apartments I have ever booked on this site have always been well equipped, cleaned to a high standard & supported by an excellent admin team.
I was very pleased to learn that this apartment is being refurbished soon which I hope will make it lighter & provide a non-slip sofa - if you’ve sat on it you’ll know what I mean . It does need this work if it is to continue to command its current pricing & compete with other available apartments both onsite & in town.
I have made advance bookings for throughout 2025 and am looking forward to seeing the revitalisation of this property

Comfortable, however this apartment does require some updates....ie the bathroom radiator is rusty.
Soft furnishings ie curtains and carpets are looking a little tired.
Kitchen and bathroom very nicely appointed though.
Apart from the above a really lovely stay in a great location!

We have stayed at W Marina many times , our second visit this year . This was a last minute decision as the setting of the Marina is brilliant . It is in a quiet location with a lovely walk into Bowness along the lake shore . Perfect if you have a dog as we do . He loves it !
Apartment is spotless , very comfortable , well equipped and toastie warm . Perfect! We were only here for three nights this time but have stayed at the location for a week .
If you like the outdoors but with good connections to other beauty spots in the area then this is a great place . All ages would enjoy and it is doggy heaven . Bus connection right upto Kendal and ferry over to Hawkshead literally a ten minute walk away .
Staff on site are lovely , very helpful and provide you with milk , tea , coffee and treats for your four legged friends . See you again next year .

It was our Anniversary and the first time with our dog Rolo. Stay was very comfortable. Rolo was happy in the apartment and surrounding. We have stayed at Windermere Marina Village before and we keep coming back because of the location and the view. The only improvement I would suggest is provision of a soap dish for the hand soap in the kitchen / bathroom.

Very well maintained apartment very comfortable all the furniture was in fabulous condition lovely large larder fridge and a separate freezer all the carpets were clean you wouldn’t know it was a dog friendly apartment not a sign of any previous dogs .

I would highly recommend the apartment a lovely comfortable base to explore the lakes or just relax .

We have never visited the Lakes before so had no preconceived expectations. On arrival we were immediately struck by the beautiful location of the Marina. The apartment was everything we could wish for. Comfortable, clean and plenty big enough for 2 people and a dog. The view we had from out balcony was amazing. The walk into town was short and incredibly beautiful. Everything about our stay in this apartment was perfect. We will be back.

Booking procedure online is easy to use & comprehensive information is supplied in advance by email.
On arrival the process is smooth & the office staff are welcoming. A nice touch is the little gift bag containing tea, coffee, sugar, etc & some milk as there is no shop onsite.
I have stayed in a number of apartments on this site. Apartment 22 is ground floor & suitable for 1 or 2 people. It was clean, fully equipped & has a lovely view over the boats in the marina. As always I could rely on the Boathouse Bar & Restaurant which is on site, merely a few steps away.
This apartment is a little tired & dark in its decor. Replacing the dark wallpaper & curtains would probably be enough to modernise the open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area.
There was an intermittent problem with the tv in the lounge & in the bedroom, which affected both picture & sound. I mentioned this at checkout where they said maintenance would be informed so maybe this is already resolved. I do feel that Smart tvs in lounge & bedrooms should be expected/provided in higher standard accommodation within these price brackets.
Definite plus points are reliable WiFi and a working extractor fan in the internal bathroom.

Thus was my 3rd time in this apartnent and it didnt disappoint. Spotlessly clean and everything you would need for your stay provided - even a washing machine. The view from balcony over the marina was lovely and was south facing so got sun all day. Dog loved it - even had his own goody bag. The whole development was spotlessly clean and had a really peacefull stay. Highly recommend whether you want to sit around reading a book or get out in the local area

We found the apartment extremely accessible having a dog with us. The location is excellent walkable to Bowness and access to main roads for touring other parts of the Lake District. It is very handy for the Ferry to Hawkshead.
The apartment is well equiped with all the necessities i.e Refrigerater, Freezer, cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, TV and access to the internet. There is an outside veranda overlooking the Marina equiped with Table & chairs for alfresco dining.
There is a restaurant on site if you don't want to cook with a lovely menu.

This was our 5th stay at Windermere Marina Village....3 in Apartment 22! We find it useful being on the ground floor, especially with our elderly dog. The Apartment itself has everything you need, very clean and comfortable. In the winter months, it's extremely cosy.
We love it here and will definitely be back.
Great location, great view and excellent facilities.
