Second stay at the Marina in two months. This property was a 3 bed townhouse and bigger than the property we stayed in previously. Although the property was clean, it is a little tired. Sofas tatty on sides of arm rests, and carpets need cleaning. A lot of fixed lighting present didn’t work. Eg, lights in wall up first flight of stairs, lighting in display cupboard in the kitchen, no oven light, and a light switch system in both the living room and kitchen which doesn’t work correctly. Ample kitchen utensils for meal making. Good for a family of six. Nice views over the lake and marina. Poor lighting for property entry when dark. Many window blinds with broken cords, and kitchen window ‘slider’ blinds need some repair. The property was bigger than the previous stay, and cost more, but we enjoyed our first stay better, as the apartment was better maintained and did not look as well used. The property would be great with a lick of paint and a few new items of furniture/ soft furnishings, new blinds.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the overall size of the townhouse and the views it has over the lake and marina. We are sorry to hear about the issues with the lighting and blinds, as well as the maintenance concerns. We are currently looking into the lighting, and the condition of the furniture and blinds to ensure the comfort of our future guests. We appreciate your suggestion about freshening up the property with a new coat of paint and updated furnishings. We will certainly put this forward in our next review meeting. We hope to welcome you back to the marina again soon.

We enjoyed our Christmas break at Windermere Marina. Windward 15 was a perfect property with excellent views from every room. All the rooms were a good size; the lounge had comfortable sofas and the kitchen was well equipped. All 3 bedrooms had comfortable beds and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space.
The only downside was the second flight of stairs which are wood which could be a slip hazard and would be best covered with carpet.
