Purchased in 1953, Shady Hall Farm was a working dairy farm until 2006 when Karen and Allan, along with their two children, decided to move back and begin renovating the original buildings. After two years braving life in a caravan, the main Farmhouse was finally ready to live in and in the years since we have worked continuously to complete renovations on the remaining farm buildings. Shady Hall farm now has 3 beautiful self-catering properties; The Stone Barn, The Milking Parlour, and The Cow Shed.
All three have been sympathetically restored in-keeping with the Farmhouse's original exterior. Inside they boast spacious and modern living, with private enclosed gardens and covered hot tubs to relax in all year round.
Located within the Moss Valley and on the border between North East Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, Shady Hall farm offers stunning views across the valley and gives guests a chance to 'escape to the country'.
Exceptional property, extremely clean, tidy, very warm and comfortable. Every effort had been made to make our stay the best it could be. The welcome pack was substantial with treats for all, including the family dog. Even giving a birthday card to one of our family members (thoughtful touch). The property had everything and more that was needed to make our stay enjoyable. The hot tub was very well received by all and was maintained daily. Thanks to Chloe, Karen and Alan for a very memorable holiday. We would highly recommend staying at Shady Hall Farm. Xx
We’ve stayed in a few holiday cottages in The Peak District but the Milking Parlour is the best.
Great location (dogs loved the field) , very clean and comfortable accommodation and Chloe is a lovely host.
We’ve already booked again.
