The Stone Barn is spacious and modern in design with open plan living, log burner, private garden and hot tub. The accommodation is perfect for family getaways and groups of up to eight adults. This is a dog-friendly property where we are happy to host up to 2 canine companions (we can sometimes allow more, please enquire before booking).

We had a brilliant family stay for my husband's birthday. The accommodation was very clean, warm and comfortable in peaceful surroundings. The welcome pack was a lovely treat, thank you. The hot tub was very popular with everyone and the enclosed garden lovely for the dogs. The dog towels and treats were a thoughtful touch! We will definitely be booking again.

We stayed recently for my husband's 50th birthday. The barn was clean and tidy and really well equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were thoughtful and left us a few provisions to start us off, and a birthday card!
The log burner and hot tub are very welcome additions for a cosy weekend, especially after a lovely country walk.

Had an amazing weekend stay at Shady Hall. In total there were 7 of us and there was plenty of space in the barn. The hosts are extremely accommodating and have clearly put a lot of thought into what is needed for a perfect stay. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and fully equipped kitchen! Planning to return again in future. Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

We had the loveliest stay at The Stone Barn. The cottage itself was immaculate, beautiful and very thoughtfully kitted out. Chloe, Karen and Allan had clearly thought- out everything one might need for their stay and were also very available and helpful for any queries. My children loved the house, there is plenty of room for them to run around and play in, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are all comfortable and beautiful. The surrounding areas are picturesque, peaceful and perfect for short or long hikes. We would hundred percent recommend to family and friends.

We had an amazing weekend celebrating our friends hen do, we booked the milking parlour and the stone barn. Chloe was so helpful in the run up to our stay, she kept in touch and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The houses were immaculate, comfortable and had everything we needed. The view sitting in the milking parlour hot tub was the best!! Can’t wait to return! Thank you for a lovely stay.

We booked all 3 barns for a mixed generation family celebration which worked perfectly. There was a very heavy and unexpected snowfall the night before our stay, but Chloe kept us updated at all times on the situation, and her whole family worked tirelessly to clear paths and parking spaces for us to still stay.
Once we arrived the cottages were superb! There were so many special touches to make us feel welcome and you can tell the effort and care that has gone into the design of all the cottages. The kitchens were really well equipped and the whole cottage was clean and beautifully presented.
The kids (and grown ups!) loved sledging down the hills, followed by a relaxing hot tub, and there was plenty of space for our large group to sit together for meals. A really great find and we will definitely be back!

A very well kept clean cottage with everything you need for a holiday house plus extras. Lovely welcome cream tea and a bottle of Fiz. Owners are on site if needed. This is one of the nicest cottage we have stayed in.

Modern and cosy barn, perfect for a weekend away with family or friends. We had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. We’d definitely stay again! The owners even had some flowers, home made scones and card to celebrate my birthday. They were extremely helpful. the outdoor area is ideal for anyone bringing dogs and we all felt very at home for the weekend.

Booked our Xmas Away with the family here this year. A good choice. Our pet friendly accommodation was excellent and our hosts friendly and very helpful. There were some festive decorations, a good welcome pack and the property had all the equipment (including towels and bowls for the dog) and utensils for our stay. There was good information given (location, facilities, things to do locally, walks, pubs etc) via email and also at the property.
The location is quiet and great for local walks straight from the door. There are a couple of local pubs if you want to stop off during your walk or go out in the evening.
We made use of the hot tub on returning from our walks and this set us up for a relaxing time afterwards.

We booked this cottage for a weekend away for 7 of us. The communication from the owners and check in was excellent, and they were incredibly thoughtful leaving Prosecco and fresh scones on arrival. The cottage itself was clean and incredibly well equipped.
Would definitely stay again and would recommend this cottage to others.

Thank you so much for such a lovely 4 night break for 8 of us and little Oakley the dog first holiday! Everything you need is provided. Hot tub was cleaned every morning. The scones and Prosecco was a nice added touch and they went down a treat! Couldn’t fault the place! We will defo recommend and we will hopefully be back!x

Had a lovely stay with 8 friends and our two babies and the stone barn was incredible for all of us. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and everything was provided for whatever you might need. The little touches of scones and fizz were lovely and welcoming and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Would recommend to friends and family looking for a break away. The added bonus is it’s only 20 minutes by car into the city centre so keeping the kids entertained with swimming at ponds forge was a simple option. Thank you!

Simply beautiful! Chloe and her family have clearly put a lot of thought and care into making your stay as comfortable as possible and the welcome treats and birthday surprise for my daughter was so thoughtful. Private, countryside location but only 20 mins to Sheffield. We loved the barn and will definitely be back!

We stayed in the Stone Barn for 3 nights, as you would expect the house was spotless upon arrival. As well as this it was one of our parties birthdays, Chloe from Shady Hall had called me the week prior to ask who's birthday it was and they very kindly left a birthday card and some homemade scones upon our arrival. Small touches like this really make a difference and make you feel extremely welcome.

The location was perfect for us, the barn itself is in a lovely location that is isolated and in the countryside enough to have plenty of great dog walks close by, but close enough to towns by car to get anything you need. We arranged for and Asda home delivery to meet us at the barn when we arrived which was perfect for food for the weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay and will be looking to come back next year for sure! 10/10 would recommend staying here to anyone looking!
