Purchased in 1953, Shady Hall Farm was a working dairy farm until 2006 when Karen and Allan, along with their two children, decided to move back and begin renovating the original buildings. After two years braving life in a caravan, the main Farmhouse was finally ready to live in and in the years since we have worked continuously to complete renovations on the remaining farm buildings. Shady Hall farm now has 3 beautiful self-catering properties; The Stone Barn, The Milking Parlour, and The Cow Shed.
All three have been sympathetically restored in-keeping with the Farmhouse's original exterior. Inside they boast spacious and modern living, with private enclosed gardens and covered hot tubs to relax in all year round.
Located within the Moss Valley and on the border between North East Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, Shady Hall farm offers stunning views across the valley and gives guests a chance to 'escape to the country'.

Wonderfully relaxing break in The Milking Parlour at Shady Hall Farm. The accommodation is first class - beautifully decorated and very well equipped (the bedroom fans were especially appreciated!) and my family really enjoyed spending time in the garden and hot tub with its lovely views. The hosts were super helpful, responding quickly to any queries we had. Great personal touches - scones, clotted cream, jam and Prosecco left for us on arrival, plus flowers and a card for my birthday. Highly recommend.
