We've stayed in some lovely houses over the years but Middlemarsh was something quite special. It really felt like someone had thought of absolutely everything you might need to feel at home. Need some Worcestershire sauce? It's in the cupboard. Want to steam a jacket? There's a steamer. Just so many little things that you wouldn't necessarily expect in a holiday rental but that make such a difference. The house itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable with a lovely garden too. Everything was so well thought out without being fussy or overdone. Karen at Christchurch Bay Coastal Escapes was brilliant too. She made everything so straightforward, was always happy to help and really looked after us throughout our stay. We couldn't recommend Middlemarsh more highly and hope to stay again very soon.

This property is in a peaceful location within easy walking distance of town centre or waterways. It has a very well-equipped kitchen, a great shower and fast WiFi. The bed was most comfortable and the hair dryer was much appreciated.
The information folder was well presented and included directions for walking into town or to Stanpit Marsh which we really enjoyed following. The town had plenty of independent shops, places to eat and a traditional street market on a Monday, but we also enjoyed the walks on the marshes with plenty of bird life to see, plus riverside walks and quaysides to wander round.
The supply of games, books, music centre and USB chargers were much appreciated, as was the large smart tv.
Outside, the gardens were well maintained and there was a large decked patio with plenty of seating and tables in excellent condition.
We found a bus stop and convenience store nearby and there are plenty of places of interest to visit further afield. We enjoyed visits to Highcliffe Castle and Kingston Lacey.
Overall, the property had everything we expected- and more, including the lovely hamper of goodies that we found on our arrival! It is ideally situated for those who enjoy water activities or exploring the local area. We would highly recommend this property.
