Cleve Cottage was a lovely little cottage with gorgeous Orla Kiely decor. Everything was very clean. The kitchen and shower-room were lovely. It was well situated for walking up to the town, the nearby Southover Grange Gardens and the station.
We had to contact the owner as the parking permits had been overlooked but she resolved this. We didn't have any problems finding somewhere to park during the week.
Although the instructions asked that the heating be turned off on leaving, there weren't any instructions on how to use the heating and the weather had turned cooler. We eventually realised that the temperature display unit was actually the thermostat which was touch-controlled. We also found that some of the radiators had been turned off. Problem solved.
The instructions regarding the bins appear to be out-of-date as a neighbour pointed out we were doing the wrong thing by moving the bins and they would be collected from the front garden.
Generally we had a nice stay and were pleased with the accommodation. We did actually recommend it to someone during our stay.

We as a family stay in holiday homes very frequently and this is one of the best experiences we have ever had.
The house is very comfortable, beautifully kept and furnished, and is a lovely airy space. It had everything we needed and we enjoyed a very comfortable week.
Lewes is a delightful town with lots of beautiful architecture and historical interest, and the house is brilliantly located for the train station and town centre which are both only ten to fifteen minutes walk away. We took the train to Brighton a couple of days which was brilliantly convenient.
Access to the house is very tight due to the narrow road out front, but we parked our car just down the same road less than a minute’s walk away and kept it there all week.
All in all we had a great stay and would definitely come back!

We had 3 other places fall through but came here before moving to Devon. Finally being in the centre has been a delight after working and schooling here since 2018. We've managed admirably as a family of four with all the stuff school children seem to need and going from 3 bathrooms to 1! So many thoughtful touches and a fabulous kitchen.

Thank you for the most wonderful 4 night stay. Such a beautifully presented cottage in a great location. We explored Lewes, Birling Gap and took a train to Brighton for the day. The cottage served as the perfect retreat at the end of a winter's day. We look forward to returning in the future.

We had a wonderful weekend at Cleve Cottage! The house is so beautifully decorated, it felt like staying in a boutique hotel but with all the comforts of home. Positioned in the prettiest part of Lewes and within walking distance of the high street and train station we could not fault the location, we were worried about the lack of parking but the owners left us parking permits and getting parked near the house was never a problem. We will definitely recommend Cleve Cottage to our family and friends and hopefully return ourselves one day.
