We loved our stay at Sheepdown. The country side is beautiful and the cottage looks out over ‘green and pleasant’ land. It is quiet, restful and tasteful, yet an easy walk to gorgeous Petworth village with all its amenities and to wonderful Petworth House and Park.

We found it a perfect location from which to explore the wonders of gorgeous West Sussex.

Sheepdown is a warm and inviting cottage with a glorious, old world charm, but with the added advantage of every modern amenity. The cottage is tastefully decorated and appointed and yet its cosy ambiance makes you feel ‘at home’.

We loved our stay here and plan to one day, hopefully return.

We stayed here for the weekend of Goodwood Members Meeting as my father was racing one if his cars. We drove all the way from Sweden! We enjoyed the house, the great sights and Petworth as well. We will come back for sure! Thank you so much.

Thank you for a wonderful experience we had during our short recent stay at your lovely property. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. Your attention to detail and thoughtful touches made our family getaway truly special, as we were attending a wedding in the area. The space was not only comfortable but beautifully maintained, providing the perfect back-drop to our family memories. We especially appreciated a well equipped kitchen and the Nespresso machine brought a smile to my face! We loved the cosy dining area and beautiful views. It was clear that you put a lot of care into making sure your guests have everything they need to have a pleasant stay.

Thank you once again! We hope to return in the future and will definitely recommend your property to our family and friends.

Thank you for a comfortable stay! The views are breath taking and we enjoyed lovely walks around Petworth. The house is gorgeous and we felt at home. We were grateful after a long trip to arrive with goodies to get us going. We head back to the US with wonderful memories of Christmas 2025 spent here and would definitely book again.

An excellent stay in a very comfortable and clean property.
