A perfect place to get away from it all. Brilliant hosting from Alexandra who gave us a tour of the castle and was incredibly responsive.
Cannot recommend highly enough!
Our stay at Burnside Cottage was fantastic. The cottage was spotless, warm and beautifully presented.
Burnside really is a home away from home. The kitchen is fully equipped with high end crockery, oven/hob and coffee machine. There was a supply of condiments, oil, herbs and spices which was a thoughtful gesture.
The homemade brownies and wine made us feel very welcome.
The living room was beautifully decorated and very cosy with the addition of a log burner. The bedroom was extremely comfortable with luxury bedding and quilt. A unique touch for a self catering cottage.

This was easily one of the best holiday bookings I've ever experienced. The cottage itself is clean, bright, cheery, functional, and beautifully appointed. The bathroom!!! So luxurious!! The bedding is incredibly comfortable (which can be so hit or miss when traveling) and the hot tub is just the cherry on top of a totally wondrous experience. Driving through the rolling countryside up to the cottage just sets the scene for what is a truly peaceful and restful sanctuary. Our visit to the hydro building with Alexandra only made us more eager to come back to the estate - we're already planning o...more
We recently stayed at East Gatehouse Lodge on the Monzie Estate in the spring, and it was such a warm and welcoming home away from home. Nestled in beautiful countryside, the estate offered the perfect setting for peaceful, late-afternoon walks and a true escape into nature.
The lodge itself captured the essence of the locale—charming, thoughtfully designed, and stylishly decorated. The use of local products and craftsmanship, from cozy blankets to handcrafted quilts, added a unique and authentic touch. Every detail in the home reflected quality and beauty, creating a truly special atmosphe...more
So there were due to be 9 of us wanting to catch up and get away together for St. Patricks weekend (one couple fell ill just before) so we booked the Mill House as we wanted that combination of own space and communal. We were not disappointed. Each room was really well set out, and even when I contacted the team to ask re feather bedding (as my asthma triggers with feathers) they were very helpful removing all the decorative cushions from one room and the living room.
The beds themselves were comfortable but on the short side (not sure if they were a standard king / superking) but as it was...more
