We decided to round out our recent UK trip with a stay in the Gardener's Cottage. We enjoyed our lodgings in the East Gatehouse last year, but wanted a little more space as were traveling with our daughter. We found the cottage super comfy and well supplied. It provided a great home base for our day trips, but we also enjoyed just hanging out cooking, watching movies and walking around the estate. The Estate itself is gorgeous and well located, having said that and having stayed in a couple of other beautiful and remote locations in Scotland of similar size, we did think it was on the more expensive side without any added bonus. The kitchen in particular could do with more general utensil. Still, would recommend.
We had a wonderful time at this lovely Cottage. We went in autuum and the colours were beautiful. Also the owners are very nice.
Stayed at East Gatehouse Lodge for 2 nights with my family recently. Exceeded our expectations. The Gatehouse was unlike anything we stayed in before and had everything you needed. The rooms were spotless and the beds and bedlinen were so comfy & cosy. Walks around the grounds and scenery amazing. We will definitely return and would highly recommend the Gatehouse.
We were a group of two families, and the Mill House met all our needs. The house was large enough to give us all the space we needed as a group or as individuals. Even with the vast space, the house was warm and cosy. The fire was a delight! The beds were so comfy. We all slept like babies!! We loved the environmental touches which included wool duvets (an absolute game changer for me), soaps and detergents, hydro electricity and chlorine free water.
