1, The Byres is one of two a newly converted Northumbrian Stone Byres with eco credentials nestled in the rolling hills of the Northumbrian countryside and inside the Northumberland National Park and International Dark Sky Area. Set on the edge of The Boe Rigg campsite with Kielder Water just 20 minutes away and a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants in the traditional market town of Bellingham just two miles away. A picturesque and rural location with the benefit of The Boe Rigg Restaurant and Bar on its doorstep.

One well behaved dog is very welcome

1, The Byres can be booked alongside 2, The Byres to create accommodation for four with the further option to book The Steadings opposite that can accommodate a further 4 to 8 guests.

Stayed for three nights, very good accommodation, nice walks and a bar/restaurant on site. Lots of places to visit nearby. Bellingham has an excellent museum and HST train buffet car and a nice walk up to the watrefall.

We used the cottage as a short stay over on our way up to Berwick-Upon-Tweed. We have stayed in the area many times before but came across this little gem at the last minute. Everything you could want is provided. Would definitely book again.

Another great stay thanks to Wooden star cottages. The. Byres is perfectly situated for the Bellingham Show, Kielder Marathon Northumberland 250.

Fabulous bar and restaurant on site and a beautiful gallery full of local products, art, crafts foods and a coffee shop

Loved the welcome hamper too tea coffee and biscuits perfect thank you

Highly recommend Sam and Vicky from Woodenstar they go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. We wouldn’t book with anyone else

I've stayed here with my family a couple of times now and we always have a wonderful stay, this time we booked 1 The Byres & 2 The Steadings because there was 6 of us.
The Byres is comfortable and cozy, with plenty of space for two people. Whilst it's on the edge of the campsite, the cottages are quiet and reasonably private. The enclosed outside space is fantastic if you're bringing a dog, and a great bonus if the weather is nice.

Wooden Star have always been brilliant to book with too, Sam in particular has been very helpful and checked in via email during our stay to make sure everything was okay. The welcome package is a lovely touch, which we always enjoy.

We were looking for a pleasant place to chill out accompanied by a dog with separation anxiety - this was ideal as the bedroom was next to the lounge.

Had a lovely stay The Byers. Very cosy cottage with everything you need. Close by to Kielder water and close to Bellingham by car. Will be back next year!

We booked this cottage as base for Bellingham Show and my husband was running at kielder. Perfectly situated for both great amenities on site including pub with restaurant and gallery stocking lots of local gifts, foods and crafts

The accommodation was immaculately clean with everything needed for break including fresh milk in the fridge and a fabulous welcome hamper with local tea, coffee and biscuits

The most comfortable bed with crisp fresh luxury cotton bedding, gorgeous shower gel and hand soaps provided along with fluffy towels.

Sam and Vicky from Woodenstar provide a first class service with regular communication before during and after stay to ensure everything is just right.

Can’t recommend them highly enough 5 star property 5 star service definitely be back and looking forward to our next Woodenstar stay

Stunning quiet location.
The boiler needed a reset for the hot water which was done within a few hours with no fuss.
That was the only tiny issue I had.
The place is well equipped,modern,clean and well kept.
I would definitely recommend staying if you get the chance,I know I will be if I'm in that neck of the woods again.
Well done wooden star.

We needed somewhere to stay near to Kielder as my husband was running the marathon. We found Woodenstar had a great selection of properties available nearby all of which looked amazing and of very high standard. We booked 1 the Byre which was perfectly located approximately 13 min drive from Kielder forest. Before arrival we received all of the information needed from
Sam and Vicky they were very helpful before during and after our stay. The property was immaculate upon arrival and had
Everything we needed including local tea, coffee and biscuits and fresh pint of milk in the fridge.

The Byre has a lovely pub and restaurant within walking distance and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and wildlife.

We are looking forward to staying with Woodenstar in the
Future and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting high quality accommodation in Northumberland
