Sitting high above the market towns of Hexham and Corbridge with far-reaching, stunning views across the Tyne Valley, the Castle offers 8 bedrooms sleeping up to 16 guests and 6 bathrooms.

Every room offers vast comfortable spaces, from the grand Drawing Room with huge windows and stunning views of the valley below, to the stained glass stairway with gothic stone work and the incredibly spacious and unique bedrooms. The grand inner hallway provides both a dining space and a billiards table for post-dinner competitions! A large, well-equipped kitchen and breakfast room offer space for you to prepare celebratory meals or for a caterer to work, with the magnificent grounds providing further space to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Please be aware the property consists of half of the castle, the owner occupies the other half.

Gorgeous castle with amazing views over Hexham.
The perfect place to stay with family from all over the world.
Every room perfectly decorated.

One of the best locations you could ever have a gathering in. The space is truly palatial - no photos will do the ceiling height justice. Sam from Wooden Star was excellent at providing instructions and very responsive throughout the whole process. We were extremely lucky with the weather and managed to get some walking done on the nearby trails, conveniently to the pub! The castle provides lighter paper and wood for cosy fireside whiskey and boardgames if it’s raining. We will absolutely be back to stay at Beaufront again.

What an amazing find, perfect for hosting an intimate gathering, bringing family and friends together to celebrate my significant birthday. The venue is absolutely stunning, full of history and charm. All eight bedrooms were spacious and luxurious. We truly felt like royalty, soujourning in our country residence with magnificent views over the Tyne Valley.

Thanks Sam and team at Wooden star Cottages for being so accommodating and responsive. You helped make this a weekend to remember for many years to come x

Where to start! We hired Beaufront Castle through Woodenstar Cottages for our micro-wedding on 14/05/2025, and it was nothing short of magical. The castle itself is absolutely stunning – a gothic masterpiece nestled in the Northumberland countryside, full of history, character, and charm.

Our group consisted of bride and groom plus 14 of Ur closest family and friends, all of which were comfortably accommodated in the castle’s eight beautifully appointed bedrooms. Each room was unique, massively spacious, and immaculately presented – you truly feel like royalty staying here! The views over the Tyne Valley were absolutely breathtaking from the many large windows.

Our guests were just as enchanted as we were — everyone commented on how incredible the venue was and how lucky we all were to celebrate somewhere so special. Almost everything within the castle is antique/original and you can literally feel the history come alive as you explore each room.

Woodenstar Cottages were professional and efficient in preparing the castle for our arrival. While they did not provide any wedding services (nor did we expect them to), everything was spotless and ready for us to make the space our own. The castle worked perfectly as a backdrop for a grand yet intimate (and unforgettable!) celebration.

If you're looking for a breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime venue to host a private event or simply to enjoy a luxurious escape with loved ones, Beaufront Castle is a hidden gem. We will forever treasure the memories that were made here. Thank you!
