For those who seek an off grid break in the heart of the Northumberland Dark Sky Park, Fieldhead offers a very unique setting. Standing alone this one bedroomed property is surrounded by moors and fields with a private wild swimming lake very close by.

One well behaved dog is very welcome.

The house is accessed via a steepish dirt track but suitable for all vehicles in the drier months and 4 x 4’s if it’s very wet, we are able to assist with transport up there if needed. The 360 degrees views and solitude are well worth it!

This was our second visit to Fieldhead and won’t be our last, absolutely stunning location, comfiest bed ever and so cosy. My Labrador absolutely loves it here also. Booking again ASAP!

The tiny cottage It's very well presented one bedroom property, the blend of complete off-road and off grid give this property And anyone saying that a unique experience. 4x4 is definitely essential if it's been raining! the track is very narrow and gets very boggy. the property itself is very pretty and quaint And whilst it's very small it is perfect if you're thinking of a hiking or adventure holiday. the garden is enclosed and the swimming like he's just round the corner If you are brave enough to do so! we found lots of local shops and things to do And the area has a lot to offer. with Scotland being fairly close the options for activities are endless!! we would not hesitate to stay here again, the value in cost and the exclusive feel and privacy that you get makes this stay excellent value! I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful property in an absolutely stunning location! Perfect little home with everything you could need. Super clear instructions and info from hosts. The house itself is perfect, super cosy and comfortable, lovely log fire for the evenings and the surrounding area is amazing. Well located to explore and beautiful isolated location to sit in the garden and enjoy the views (and the neighbouring sheep). We loved sitting in the garden and our dog loved being able to roam around in the enclosed space and watch the animals. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would have loved to stay for longer

We really enjoyed the off grid location with superb views and lovely walks. The cottage was very comfortable and well-equipped. Extremely relaxing too!

Fieldhead is in a great location, the view is to die for! The cottage is lovely and homely, everything was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. My dog loved the big garden and the walk up to the private lake which was beautiful. I’m just about to book again! Thanks wooden star cottages.

We had a fantastic week at Fieldhead, the cottage is in such an amazing location, wonderful views from the porch and swing seat and so cozy inside. We were so lucky to see the Northern Lights on 2 nights of our stay. The garden is secure with a low fence, though if you have dogs that jump or like sheep/cows I'd recommend bringing a long tether. We had a really relaxing & peaceful week - thank you!

This cottage was an absolute gem! We booked directly with Sam over the phone. She was incredibly friendly and even managed to secure a fantastic last-minute deal for us.

While the location offered a true escape from the hustle and bustle, it wasn't overly isolated. We found it conveniently located for grabbing a quick meal when needed. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking views. We spent countless hours relaxing on the front porch, simply absorbing the beauty of the surrounding nature.

We absolutely plan to visit again when possible. This cottage is perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with stunning scenery. You won’t regret it.

We enjoyed 5 lovely days at Fieldhead. A truly restful place with wild swimming on hand.
The house is very comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a break.
The views from the house are unspoilt. We spent a whole day outside, just reading and chilling - pure bliss!
Looking forward to a return visit.

My husband and I stayed at Feildhouse for 4 nights from start to finish our experience was brilliant, views breathtaking... off grid absolute bliss.. immaculate property... shops and places to eat are not far away.. I spoke to a lady called Sam she very helpful and sorted our booking out very quickly. A guy called Steven on farm helped us nothing was to much trouble really nice guy.
