Hexham House Apartment Six benefits from a king-size bedroom, compact bathroom and open-plan living and dining space. Its light bright rooms have high ceilings and original wooden floors. The apartment has views to both Hexham Parks and Market Street and is perfect for single travellers or couples wishing to explore our beautiful county.

This apartment provides a peaceful resting place in a superb central location for exploring Hexham and Northumberland, with excellent public transport links, meaning it’s also a great base for those who wish to explore the region without a car.

Apartment Six is accessed via the main entrance and has two flights of stairs and a small set of stairs to its front door.

I know Hexham well, so knew the building and its' location prior to booking.
The flat is super, comfortable and practical. Great to have a washing machine. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need utensils etc; It was great to have a welcome pack with tea, coffee, biscuits. The bed is really comfortable. Only a slight hitch with the shower head which had been forced and risked breaking if I changed the height, when I informed Sam she came and adjusted the height for me on the same day on which I contacted her.
I will happily stay at Hexham House again on future visits whether alone or with family in this apartment or a bigger one.

Lovely 3 night stay in this well-appointed and well positioned apartment. Ideal location for exploring Hexham and provision of a parking space was a bonus. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed; the goody bag was a lovely addition. Pubs, restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Would defintely stay again if back in Hexham for any reason.

Lovely apartment, stylish, cosy and comfortable situated in a quiet area of Hexham. Very convenient for shops and restaurants. I felt very comfortable staying there on my own. I came by train and Sam very kindly met me at the station which was a real bonus. I really enjoyed my stay and will happily stay there again.

We love Hexham and this apartment is so handy for amenities with a view of the abbey and a beautiful park on the doorstep.
We again found it clean, comfortable and peaceful here and the cottage company are so helpful.

The apartment was absolutely perfect. The location was ideal with a lovely view into Hexham town centre and a great pub within 50 yards. On arrival the accommodation was warm and so welcoming, light, airy with high ceilings. Felt immediately at home and the facilities were first class. Parking was so easy and a one minute walk through a pretty park. So much to see around the area and I definitely will be back!

Top class service during booking and on arrival, with navigation by phone from Sam.
Fabulous apartment down to every detail. High-end decor, furnishings and equipment.
Beautiful location : views of the park were glorious. Tranquil setting. The surrounding area is delightful and it was lovely to come home to apartment 6 to relax after days out.
We'll definitely be back.

I booked to stay here for an engagement party in Hexham close to Hexham House. I wasn't too sure what to expect but this apartment was absolutely stunning. The kitchen/living room was a really nice size, very bright and was well-stocked. The bedroom was also brilliant and I slept like a dream both nights. I cannot wait to come back!

This was our third visit to Hexham House and we found apartment 6 comfortable, well equipped and spacious enough for two people. Enjoyed the view towards the Abbey from one of the windows, the proximity to the lovely park and all the local amenities.
We love Hexham and would happily return to this apartment.

My sister-in-law, Fi O’Brien, booked this wonderful apartment for us at extremely short notice when their boiler broke down and we couldn’t stay with them as planned on a trip to Hexham. We were so grateful for all the hard work which Sam did to ensure we had somewhere to stay. When we had to stay an extra unplanned day due to Storm Babet, Sam again bent over backwards to transfer us into another apartment.

The accommodation is superlative with a location right in the centre of town, handy for shops and restaurants.

We would definitely recommend Sam and all the team at Hexham house for anyone visiting the area!

I had a fantastic stay in this flat. The location is excellent: it's in the town centre, with easy walks to all amenities, and with simple and quick access from out if the town. It is enhanced by being in a Georgian building, itself right next to (and looking out onto, from one of my windows) a beautiful park. Inside, the flat has been tastefully and attractively designed. Facilities are great and the extra touches (wine, biscuits, tea, coffee, Nespresso machine with capsules) are really well done.

We booked several apartments at Hexham House for the same weekend and would do it all again. The apartments are bright, spacious and so comfortable. Situated right in the centre of Hexham and close to all of the amenities you could think of. Really easy to access, with excellent instructions from Sam and Vicky at Wooden Star Cottages. The car parking at Hexham Abbey is so handy and it's easy to get parked. They really have thought of everything and we would definitely book with Wooden Star Cottages again.
