We stayed at Drum Barn and it was such a lovely property and location. The house was very spacious and clean, with a fantastic kitchen and seating area and lovely big lounge with a fire which we lit a few times. The area was so convenient being just 10 mins away from Corbridge and Hexham. The garden and adjoining field was perfect for our two dogs. The highlight though was the hot tub and sitting in that one night just staring at the stars and listening to the owls in the trees. It was bliss. Wonderful stay and would definitely go back.

We stayed as a group of family and friends at the Drum Barn and the Hayloft for a weekend to celebrate my birthday and everyone had an amazing time! The properties were well equipped with everything we needed and the location was perfect for winter walks and little strolls down to the local village pub. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the hot tubs due to snow but this didn’t spoil our stay at all. We had a couple of questions on our first night and needed to contact the team again when we returned home re some left property and Sam responded quickly and efficiently. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Roses Bower to anyone wanting to stay here and I look forward to returning! Thank you for a wonderful weekend ⭐

The Drum Barn was great for our group of 4 couples, with all ensuite bedrooms and plenty of communal space. Communication was excellent before we arrived, and while the location was rural, great for a base for exploring. We didn't get the weather, but a mile walk to the local pub would be well advised. Would stay again without hesitation. Good info in welcome book, only criticism, instructions for heating could be better

We stayed at Drum barn for 3 nights in January, we ended up getting hit by a bad storm whilst staying, it didnt bother us too much as we felt cosy and warm inside the barn (& Sam and Vicky checked we were ok). Had loads of games and things to keep us occupied - very large kitchen area and great social space for families and friends. Loads of grounds for our dog to run and toilet (big win). Towels and linen were great quality and the place was very clean and tidy. Would recommend and we felt great value for money.

We were going to a wedding nearby and had wooden star cottages recommended. The house is well appointed and a nice place to arrive at. The thoughtful owners kept in touch by email throughout and were very helpful.The views and feeling of being deep in the country were excellent. I imagine that for a couple of families with young children this woudl be a particularly special place to stay.

Has everything you need to have whilst being away from home..it's home away from home..

We had a brilliant family weekend in the lovely barn.
It was very spacious, clean and set up to a very high standard. The hot tub was a great hit.

Amazing place, set in a beautiful surroundings.
Very cozy house, clean and had everything you need. Beds are very comfortable and each room has a bathroom.
Sam and Vicky were very helpful and accommodating. I have been to few Wooden Star Cottages and they have never disappointed us. I have booked Drum Barn again and can't wait to go there in March !
